Ive been here a few times, and the experience really hasnt been a very good one. Every single time I come here, they immediately assume Im there to steal merchandise. They watch your every move, which is uncomfortable to say the least, and on the best days, they will just leave you alone and not say anything to you. One day, I just. needed a few things, but didnt have any cash on hand. The woman treated it like it was a huge inconvenience to take my card and my business with such a small purchase. Id recommend another bead store if youre looking for beads. They dont carry anything special that would warrant a trip to this store specifically.

There seems to be a lot of options here and I was initially grateful to see this store but I have never had a good experience there and the fact that they do not offer returns or exchanges makes it difficult to shop there. A Citrine stone that I bought is not drilled properly all the way through and thats just one example.

The manager and her employees are not friendly and they have the worst customer service skills. I am an honest person and they wouldn’t exchange my 6 lb thread fire line to a 10 lb thread. I tried returning it. It’s was an honest mistake on my part but I didn’t even know that you can’t return anything at all. Not so friendly to minorities!

I visit the Bead Store for all my jewelry making needs. The customer service is very friendly and helpful, and I always find what I am looking for. Its a fun place to go to, but make sure youre not in a hurry cuz theres lots to see and buy!

This store has no customer service. Try The Bead Fairy in Sandy for your beading needs, much better service and better prices.

My daughters and I spent a couple hours looking thru this stores great selection of beads. They have any kind you could want; acrylic, glass, crystal, wood, semiprecious. I love their selection of lampwork and metal beads. Everything is arranged so aesthetically pleasing with color coordination. The prices are a little steep, but they were offering a pretty good sale and had some nice things discounted. I look forward to my next visit.

Great selection, prices are a bit high though. You can find better deals on some of these beads at hobby lobby. How we like I said, great selection.

I took my daughter and her friends in for a little beading activity. The staff went above and beyond to help us. The store is gorgeous and so brightly organized, it’s pure eye candy! The prices seem reasonable, they have a huge selection of affordable stuff as well as fancy expensive stuff. It was such a fun experience! We will be back!

There is a reason this bead store has stayed in business this long. It has everything. From all the semi precious stones to Czech Glass to lampwork to chain to everything in between, it has everything I need to feed my beading addiction. The staff is quite friendly, and always willing to help. Prices are quite standard for the industry (many bead wholesalers enforce MAP policies on retailers, which fixes the prices on the higher end somewhat), and they have a decent rewards program. There is a table to bead at, though I have yet to use it. The store itself has incredible natural lighting, so finding color combinations that work is very easy. I love that they have store hours that make it possible for me to get what I need after work, even with the hour commute it takes for me to get there. I absolutely love shopping at this store and would definitely recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in creating handcrafted jewelry!

I went in to get a leather neck strap with fasteners for a charm I have at home. The gal who assisted me was friendly, helpful and fast. What a great combination. I have shopped here before and will be going back again. It is a great little store!

I agree with the reviews that say the people were very friendly & helpful. However I thought they were a bit pricey except on findings which were very reasonable. I read on a review before going that the average strand price was $2 - $4 but that seemed to be on the sale rack or for a strand that was half the size Im used to. (Not sure how old review was.) However, they do have a good selection of natural stones, crystals (& Swarovski), pearls, acrylic beads, wire & findings as well as many single glass beads, charms & pendants. Considering how few bead stores Ive found here, this one seems best so far.

I drive 30 minutes just to go to this store. The employees are so helpful in making sure I get the right materials for my necklaces I make. I visit the store once a week! The store is inviting and color coordinated to find what I am looking for. Love this store!

This is an awesome bead store. The selection or Swarovski Crystals is the best Ive seen. They also carry a huge selection of Gemstones, Czech glass and Chinese crystal. The customer service is excellent and very friendly . Ive received help on everything from design and choosing my beads to making a beautiful piece of jewelry. This is the only store that I patronize in Salt Lake.

The service was quick and efficient. They have everything you could ever want for jewelry! They even have classes! Im looking forward to shopping here in the future.

I took a necklace to a nearby jewelry store to be restrung and they quoted me almost 10 times the price I got it restrung for at this store. The women at the bead store were helpful and so reasonably priced. They even fixed the clasp on a different necklace for $3. I would recommend them to anyone. They also had an incredible inventory and very knowledgable staff members.They must have an entirely new staff from years past when I saw they got a few poor ratings on Google. Its sad a few bad eggs can hurt reviews for years.

I Love all of staff here and I really enjoy taking the classes. Great place to hang out with friends and learn a new craft.

Very non description building, I missed the store at first due to their sign didnt stand out. The store looks like a candy store. Colorful. Shiney. Beads. Glasses full of beads, walls strewn with beads, table tops of beads. Im in a wheelchair and the customer service was very accommodating in moving display items out of my way. The only issue I have is the price. I know this is a store vs an internet site. I bought a line of 2mm pearls, the usual amount of beads is 150, and this only had 90. The average price is $2, the price I paid for these beads is $4. Thats twice as much for 1/4 less beads. I wish they had a way to order beads so I could finish my project.

Horrid staff!! Dreadful experience! I was not surprised to see that I am not the first customer to experience Heart Beads appalling treatment of its customers. I too was asked to leave my purse in a locker. I was dismayed, but complied. That was just the beginning of what turned out to be a very ugly experience. While shopping, a young woman with stiff hair and black eye make-up sidled up beside me with a smirk on her face and said, Really? I was confused. Sorry? I said. You just put some beads in your bra. I was dumbstruck. Yep, she said. I just saw you put a package of beads in your bra. I was blown away by the certainty with which she made this accusation. She looked like the cat that caught the canary. I asked her how I could prove to her that I did not put beads in my bra. She told me to reach into my bra and retrieve the beads. Because I had not stolen anything and wanted to be absolved of any wrongdoing, in front of a handful of customers which included men, I reached into my bra and under my bra strap. The other side, she said smugly, not at all deterred. I reached into my left bra cup. Nothing. She turned on her heel and mumbled something. Never a sincere apology,- She just scuttled into the back room where she wouldnt have to face me. Needless to say, I did not purchase the items I had carried to the counter with me. I retrieved my purse from my locker and left. But not before I caught the woman coming out of the back room (she thought I had gone) and let her have it. Again. No sincere apology. This is no way to run a business. Yes, bead shops are vulnerable to theft, but it is more detrimental to business to be suspicious of every customer who walks through the door. And the nerve of that woman! She did not see me put beads in my bra because I did not put beads in my bra. It never happened. Yet she accused me of stealing in front of all her customers. When in doubt, better to let some merchandise go than to accuse an honest customer of theft. I have an online jewelry business. I spend thousands of dollars a year on beads and supplies. This woman just lost a good customer. There are other bead shops in the valley with the same selection. I recommend patronizing String Beads, the Beaded Puma, or anywhere else. You will leave with your beads and your dignity.

I love this store! Not only do they have a large inventory of beads, the ladies there are very helpful. Take one of their free classes (you buy the beads) and they will patiently help you through the project.

BE CAREFUL you dont put your hands in your pockets as you walk through the store. They will call you to the back of the store and accuse you of stealing.
