Really helpful and friendly shop! Ive had my shock serviced here a few times and it is a way quicker turn around compared to sending it into Fox, they do a great job too.
I called in today about getting a heavier spring for my shock. Noah in service gave me some incredibly helpful info, some of which made me realize I had over compressed my spring passed what fox recommended. Talking with him for a few min was one of the most helpful CS phone calls I’ve ever had. I can highly recommend this bike shop just for his knowledge alone. If you need suspension help, ask for Noah!!
Favorite bike shop in SLC. Great customer service!
Picked up my bike today. Very helpful and it even came early. The bike had one thing off from what I ordered but they made up for it. Just happy to have a bike in 2021! Took the time to set up my bike and answer all of my questions. I would recommend anyone needing a bike or gear to go to this shop.
I made the plunge to purchase a mt. bike after 25 years! Clearly so much has changed, but after working with Manny, I came away with a bike Im so excited about. His patience, understanding, and expertise was the key to my success. His focus was putting me on a bike that made sense for me and not to up-sell anything. After fitting me to a bike, he thoroughly explained the bike, the maintenance, and let me know that the shop is here for any & all concerns and questions. The other employees are also friendly and busy helping all kinds of riders coming and going. The shop location is great. I definitely found a gem for my latest endeavor into mt. biking.
I ordered parts from another bike shop in town and waited two months to no avail. I called Scott and not only did they have the parts but they spent a fair amount of time explaining to me which parts would work best and started on my bike that evening. I’m a big advocate of great customer service, good products and friendly people.
So awesome, had a biking trip to St George the next morning and realized my spoke was broke on one wheel. Took it in at 2pm and they had it fixed and me ready to go by closing. Great service and cool guys!
Have had a couple great experiences now at Go Ride after having had many bad experiences at another local shop. Each time Ive brought a bike in for repair, tune, or other services, theyve finished it quicker than their estimated timeline. Today they were able to get me in and out within 15 minutes. And I think their service prices are better than other shops Ive been to. Theyve also occasionally thrown in a minor service for free. Last reason I like Go Ride is that I dont feel that they try to up-sell you on pricier, unnecessary parts. I highly recommend bringing your mountain bikes to Go Ride for service.
I bought a tire from this shop and had some issues with mounting it and seating it. I brought it in on two separate occasions and the staff was super helpful! It turned out that tire was defective and they ended up giving me a new tire! In my opinion this is one of the best shops in the salt lake area and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a shop free of the elitist vibe.
Refused to repair an older mountain bike. It was a simple repair on a brake. They didn’t even look at the brake. It made me feel they just weren’t going to make enough profit. Went to REI bike shop where the friendly staff handled it easily.
These folks are the best. Always super helpful, informative, quick, honest. Came in during what I know is a crazy busy time for shops and they installed my new dropper right away as I waited. Always have great service, both in interacting with me and on my bikes.
They were solid 5 stars for like 15 years. Ripped me off recently on service. I was really hurt by that because they were my favorite. I paid 100$ extra because they tacked on one of their signature tune ups that i didnt want. (Or need). I tried to email managent and got no response. Check your peeps management. They will drive away the business you built a small empire from.
Went in to purchase parts for my bike and ending up with defective ones. They asked me to bring the parts and bike on so they could fix it for me. When I went on the next ride they forgot a spacer and the chain and sprocket were grinding on the tensioner. Took it back to them and they put the part back on but then charged me for it. The mechanic even said they forgot to put it back on but Manny didn’t even apologize for the mistake or say they would take care of it. I’m in the market for a new bike this fall, but will not be going near this place to make my purchase.
Theyre currently operating safely with only 4 customers allowed in store at a time and employees wearing face masks. Friendly and quick service on my mountain bike. Ill be back.
Cant really complain. Had my shock serviced a couple of times, never had any issues. Special thanks to Noah for doing great job!
My experience with GO-RIDE has really been great. When I brought my bike into the shop I worked with one of their mechanics Cody. Cody really treated me well and took care of me with my bike. I had numerous things that I needed to take care of with my bike and I mentioned right off the back that I was on a really tight budget. Cody didnt forget that. Cody looked for the most cost effective way to help me with my bike without cutting corners on the fixes that needed to be made. Because of my limited funds he was very conscious to keep me in the loop with phone calls to tell me what he was finding and making sure I was on board with any work done or part ordered so that I could decide if I actually wanted to pay the price for it. Overall the shop seems to have a chill group of people on staff that will do their best for you.
Great shop with employees that help out the best they can to get you what youre looking for.
The worst bike shop in salt lake, I have been thwarted by these shmucks many times before. Today, however, I am really annoyed. Went in there looking for a 26” tire for my 2016 yeti, they didn’t have any and that’s fine although they could have offered to order me something, instead they tell me “it’s just such an uncommon tire”… yeah right! Because they’ve been making 27.5 and 29ers since the dawn of biking and my 4yro Yeti is an anomaly. It’s too bad there aren’t other shops that carry the same product (the only reason to go) they do because these kids don’t know jack about biking. Or business.
I was looking for a new bike and had a lot of questions. I worked with Manny and Pablo, and they helped me find the bike I was looking for, got it all set up for me, and answered all of my questions. These guys know their stuff, and are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend Go-Ride. Thanks guys!
The team at Go-Ride has been totally awesome to work with. From the day I first purchased my bike to the subsequent service appointments, theyve been terrific. The owner and employees are good people and are committed to providing great service to customers.Back in March, while I was busy skiing as much as possible, I stopped by Go-Ride to check out mountain bikes. I figured I could get a great price on a last seasons bike and a friend told me Go-Ride had the best selection of mountain bikes in town. I was not disappointed! Go-Ride specializes in mountain bikes and inventories most of the major brands, models, and sizes.Ryan helped me for nearly two hours, matching me to a great bike and taught me how to adjust the bike, and dial it in for my riding. I had a lot of questions about just about everything and he patiently answered everything and gave me killer advice. I LOVE the Pivot Mach 6 Carbon, I purchased, and Go-Ride sold it to me for a great price too. Its probably more bike then I needed as a beginner, but Ive put about 200 miles on it so far this season, and Ive LOVED it every mile. It fits me really well, is comfortable to ride, handles well, and jumps great.A few weeks ago while riding in Eagle Mountain my rear derailleur came off the bike because a bolt had gone missing. I should have been more conscientious about checking the bike before each ride, but as a new rider Im still learning. Thankfully we were able to fix it on trail and got back to riding. Later that day I stopped by Go-Ride to have a bike tech take a look and make sure nothing else was wrong or broken. The tech did a thorough inspection, replacing the missing bolt, tightening everything, and making some other adjustments -- all free of charge. He got me back to riding the next day without any delays, which was awesome and very much appreciated!Last month I dropped my bike off for the new bike tune-up and they promised next day turnaround. Continuing their aim of delivering great service, my bike was actually finished later that same day! I picked it up, clean and shiny, and ready for more dirty mountain riding. If youre an experience rider or just starting out, Go-Ride is a great shop and well worth your time. Thanks for being awesome guys!
Very impressed with the Salt Lake Go-Ride team. I won’t go to any other shop now! I had a annoying creak in my mountain bike. They diagnosed the problem and found a broken suspension bearing. They didn’t have the part in stock, so Luke went to another shop and found what my bike needed. He said it didn’t take long and installed it at no cost except the part itself. I’m very appreciative of the extra care he took on my bike. Would highly recommend!
The go-ride team hear is awesome. Definitely my go bike shop for service and repairs. They are always more than happy to provide info and help. Even if I show up 3 times in one day.Much appreciated!!!
Go here if you want your bike to sit in the shop for weeks for a repair and have services and parts put on that weren’t originally discussed. Worst bike shop in SLC, their employees need to turn up their hearing aids.
We were visiting the diner opposite for breakfast (recommended!) and, when we went to leave, my wifes mountain bike had a flat and we didnt have a spare tube or tools. Luckily GO-RIDE is just across the street. They opened up early for us and changed the tube for a reasonable sum in short order. Very friendly and a great shop.
Great experience here. Super friendly and helpful staff. Took their time with me, wasnt rushed and ended up with the stuff I needed without being pressured to go up to the next level in price. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a real buying experience with real people to help you. Thanks everyone there!
Went in looking for an entry-level (
Wow! Best bike store I’ve ever been in! So helpful and non-condescending. Refreshing to enter a bike shop and be treated so well. Thank you for your service and getting me back on the trail!
Great service! They are always ready and reliable for when I need to bring my bike in. And they always do a good job!
The staff was extremely helpful both on the phone and in person. In particular Pablo was very knowledgeable and courteous to answer all of my questions and help me out with new tires for my mountain bike. I will happily come back! :)
Hate to write this review, I have been a previous customer for some time and rented bikes before from you guys and they treated me terrible. For instance, I was just trying to make conversation and one of the employees told me I couldn’t really ride my bike any where and was upset I said I was going to do basic bobsled trails. Furthermore, they wouldn’t accept any cash or debit to rent a bike which is ridiculous. I was about to spend roughly 500$ at your shop, and I was going to get clothes but now I’m going to a new bike shop in town.- Tony
Seriously, just a really great shop. Purchased my Santa Cruz elsewhere, but when my rear cassette failed, that shop didnt seem interested in helping me out, so I went to Go-Ride and Pablo was freaking awesome. He saw that the reason the cassette broke was due to it being an early release Eagle Cassette, which was known to have this weakness, so it could be warrantied. But also, when the cassette failed, it destroyed my driver too. Pablo and the team at Go-Ride went above and beyond to get everything resolved - and I didnt even buy the bike from them! But since then, every other interaction with Go-Ride has been just great. Amazing suspension techs too - I dont know what kind of black magic they practice in the back shop, but after they work on my suspension it performs better than I ever thought it could. Go-Ride in Sugarhouse has become my go-to shop!
Went in today to either purchase new pedals for my V10 or new pins for my deity pedals. I stood around being ignored by the 4 employees that wondered around, and when I finally received some assistance, the gentlemen left for the back and never returned, (Im talking several minutes never returned). Then the chick behind the counter had the audacity to ask me are you going to buy something. After I found what I was looking for online, I left. Too bad Go Ride is no longer a bike shop for actual riders, but instead a place for the rich to go dump their cash.On another note, thanks for all your help Guthrie Cycles. Youre a true bikers store.
Victor helped get my 2015 SB5C in top shape! Very satisfied with the work and the prices, and as aways the whole shop is awesome to work with. Theyve taken care of me a number of times making this review long overdue. Replaced all suspension bearings, Grip2 Damper, fork service, trued wheels, clean adjust drivetrain, new wolf tooth seatpost lever, bled brakes, new rear pad and rotor, cleaned, checked and adjusted everything else! Very satisfied with the work and the prices!
Great shop with very knowledgeable staff. We purchased a brand new bike for my wife and got the white glove treatment from the staff. They were extremely helpful and spent the time with us.However I was disappointed when I returned a week later to get my suspension adjusted...they charged me 18 dollars and didnt even have me sit on the bike, just let out some air and sent me on my way. I had another shop dial it in for me... I was expecting more after spending 6k+ the previous week there.-2 stars for being closed on Sunday.
Competent. Intelligent. Sexy.😜These guys and gals are awesome. One of my three favorite shops in the whole country, and thats saying something as Ive been a bike shop manager, have been sponsored by 2 bicycle stores and a factory. Shameless endorsement. They like beer. Buy it from a liquor store, not the 4% stuff.
This place was great! I came in to look/try a few bikes. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful. I didnt buy this time, but that doesnt mean I wont be back!
The best bike shop Ive ever used. Their techs really know their stuff. Even though Im a low-level rider, they always treat me with respect and friendliness. My wife has her road bike worked on there, too. They will make an appointment day to work on your bike, and will have it done when they say they will, so you dont have to leave your bike for a week to have a simple job done. Its the best bike shop in town.
I had been shopping for a hard tail for a month or so but with it being mid August, inventories are thin and being able to actually ride a bike before I buy was looking remote. I stopped by a competitor of Go Ride in Draper last night and the sales person was less than helpful. Essentially she said they had nothing in inventory and good luck. I asked her about another shop and she mentioned Go Ride down the street. The experience at Go Ride was completely different. The salesperson there welcomed me and we discussed what was available in my target specs and then showed me bikes above and below my target price range. ( smart! ) We concluded that he also had nothing in inventory but wrote down a description of the bike on a business card and said the one I was looking for was at the 21st and 21st location and to check it out.Dallas greeted me and we reviewed my needs and suggested a Norco Revolver. A test ride and a few small modifications and I walked out with a new bike! I got great service and a fair price on a sweet hardtail. Go Ride will be my first stop the next time I am in the market for a bike.
Disappointed with Go-Ride. Had this place recommended to be by other MOuntain Bikers. I just wanted to get the parts to service my rear shock. They told me to just bring it in. I said I did not want to and to sell me the lube needed to perform the shock maintenance. So than they said look it up online. Did not even let me talk to the tech. I don’t get it. They still make money on selling the fox fluid etc. unfortunately they have lost my business. Plenty of other shops around to buy items from. I was not treated this way at the Draper location. So I will still go over there.
We are lucky to have one of the best bike shops in the country here in Salt Lake for anything from XC to DH riding. Most shops dont know much about DH bikes, but Go-Ride has the experts on staff to help you get the right bike and get it dialed in. Expert wheel builders too! They also have a great selection and are one of the few places you can actually go find body armor and DH bikes in stock - things that are hard to buy online because you cant try them on. Really friendly and helpful too.
I called in, and they were not able to help because i live so far away, but they did help with pointers and did whatever they could. I could tell they genuinely cared about helping others.
Ive been in a few times and these guys are super helpful. Im a pretty novice biker and the staff was great at explaining everything so I could make the right choice. I never felt pushed to buy the more expensive bike and Im really happy with my new bike.
I am building my first purpose built bike from scratch and was wayyyyyy over my head. The guys over there were very helpful and understanding in what I wanted, not just what is most profitable for them like most other bike shops in our valley.BIKE SHOPS: TAKE NOTE ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICECUSTOMERS: BEWARE OF BUYING ONLINE ITS CHEAPER TO BUY THE RIGHT PART THE FIRST TIME AND LESS FRUSTRATING
Had my fork and shock serviced here. The staff was extremely honest and they may tell you what you dont want to hear but you can have confidence that they people that are working on your prized possession will do it correctly. Absolutely will return for all other maintenance needs.
Every time I go in the store I am blown away by the fantastic customer service and ample knowledge regarding anything bicycle. I love this shop, I am a lifetime customer after the first visit.Note: If you ride a high-end bicycle or need custom repairs, this is the shop for you! They rebuilt one of my Avid XO Trail brakes within a couple days and got me back on the trail ASAP.
The absolute best bike shop in town. Local crew of mechanics that always take great care of my bikes. Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable.
Love this place! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that is willing to help any level of rider. I remember going to this shop years ago and it was great. Been out of biking for years now and returned with my wife to get back into it. Was met with friendly faces who really looked to get us setup with what we needed, not just the most expensive setup. Got a lot of the punk kid homie homie bro bro response from just about every other shop in town but Go-Ride was very professional throughout our process of spending a small fortune on new bikes. Well worth the visit and we were treated great. Wont shop anywhere else.
Love this shop! Pablo is a great guy there. I cant believe the amount of knowledge they have. Definitely a specialty/high-end shop, and thats why I like them!
For mountain bikers, this is simply the best shop in Utah with all the best bike brands. Their inventory is always stocked with what you need, and their mechanics are trained professionals, especially when it comes to suspension.
Very knowledgeable bike shop and great selection of awesome mountain bikes. Oh and Pablo provides exceptional service. The rest of he staff is great too.
Great store(s) with awesome, knowledgeable staff. Service on bikes is phenomenal. Not just a store for the young riders. They really treat this 68 year old well.
Excellent service and hardcore parts selection. I have been buying bikes and associated parts for essentially the last decade. Great bunch of guys that can really ride. Best selection of high-end and gravity oriented mountain bikes.
Visited the Draper location a number of times while deciding on a ride to get me back into mountain biking. Worked mainly with Dustin and Easton. Both provided great insight and advice for a noob like me. I will be sending friends and family here. If you like supporting a group of local riders, I dont know how you can go wrong with Go Ride! Thanks Go Ride!
Solid bike shop. The techs have excellent technical know-how and the whole staff was helpful. Bonus stars for shop dogs. I would trust them to work on my bike. Special shout-out to Cody for being the man.
This shop is awesome. I rented a bike here. Great bike, great people there gave some trail advice. Ill be back!
Great staff and selection. Ask for Pablo or Kenzie-they will take great care of you and help you make the right choice.
The best reason to go to Go Ride and have all service done here is simple. There are no road bikes inside. Just mountain bikes. The most comprehensive and knowledgeable mountain bike staff in the state by a large margin.
Love this shop! Kenzi and Pablo are so knowledgeable. the shop crew in the back always fix me up right
Purchased a Yeti Sb5.5 from Go-Ride Draper! Manny the sales consultant was the Best!! Highly recommend this Bike Shop
Best shop in the Valley. Very experienced and knowledgeable staff.
Went in for a quote on a Sram Eagle drivetrain upgrade but decided to go with a different shop due to the significant price difference. Other shops offered to use a driver body rebuild (Industry Nine) to fit the new cassette while Go-Ride only offered to install an entirely new driver body which would have cost about $100 more. Installation cost was another reason I decided to go elsewhere; another shop offered to install the drivetrain for the price of the cheapest tuneup while Go-Ride was well over $100 for labor. In the end, the final build would have cost me about $200 more than the shop I decided to go to instead.
I got forced into a couple storm drains and ended up damaging BOTH of my i9 Ultralites. I called Industry Nine and they recommended Go-Ride as one of their preferred rebuilders in the SLC area. And I couldnt have been more impressed with their thoughtful consideration of my situation, constant communication of the progress of the service and the quality and attention to detail of the rebuild. HUGE shoutout to Stu and the staff at the SLC Go-Ride. They even offered to check spoke tension after a few rides to make sure the wheels are right. Im very impressed with this shops professionalism and inclusive attitude reflected in every interaction I had and not to mention their competitive pricing. Ill be coming back!
Been shopping with Go-ride for about 15 years or so. Nothing but the best of the best here, bought my last two Norco’s from them and always give the best advice when setting up a bike!
These guys and gals really know mountain bikes. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, courteous, and professional. Quick turnaround for tunings and very reasonable pricing for services.
Rented a bike for the weekend. They worked with my schedule and set me up with a sick SB6. I wont rent from anywhere else in Salt Lake. Great staff. Thanks again.
Great and friendly associates. Love the Santa Cruz Tallboy mountain bike🚲. My bike was ready sooner than they had promised!
Awesome shops with great staff. For exactly what I was looking for and enjoyed the shopping experience (a rare compliment for me)
The guys here, specifically the bearded Von Williams, have been exceptionally helpful in all my biking adventures, despite the fact that Im more of a roadie anyway. Theyve taught me how to custom build my own wheels, calculated spoke lengths, provided much insight into what quality of stuff I need, etc. They seem happy to search specialty items up for me on their fancy interweb-compatible computadoras. They are always friendly and professional, and I wont hesitate to come back for any other bike problems I [will surely] encounter. Thanks Go-Ride!
Im pretty skeptical of most bike shops Ive been to in SLC. Some are decent, some are plain bad, all of them are inconsistent. This place is just simply consistently decent. So grading on a curve and you arrive at 5 stars. Theyve been super responsive and honest with stuff, and always seem to take the most reasonable approache to repair/maintenence. Never bought anythign here, but a bunch of service. Very positive experiences.
Great staff and the best gear. The suspension service is second to none!
Great sales person, just too expensive right now.
This is my go-to shop for any bike repairs. Fair pricing by folks who know what they are doing. If you call REI, for example, about rebuilding a fork, theyll probably refer you to Go-Ride.
They have treated me well until I special ordered a chainring and made me pay for it up front. Then when I went to get it a couple months later they had no record of me paying for it. And they would not order it when I went in the first place unless I ordered... Said they would now sell it to me at cost. This was due to the dreadlock girl was eating her lunch and must have not entered the payment right?? I bought a bunch of other small things at the time and my total was 170.. I will not be using them for anything unless it is in stock. All their other services are great but just dont the front girl when she has the munchies and cannot focus due to being stoned. It cost me $55 and some change....
I went in to buy brake pads for my bike today, they didnt have resin pads and only had more expensive metal pads. I told the employee that I would just buy the pads online. The employee then put down the brake pads, and went to the back of the store. I asked if they had another part, and he said why dont you just buy it from the UK and wouldnt help me. I looked at prices before I went to Go-Ride and was prepared to spend $5 extra per pad, but its $30 cheaper for the set online. I try to shop local first whenever I can, but I dont like being treated like a jerk because I wont spend over double for parts. I wont be shopping at Go-Ride again.
They had everything I was looking for! Cant wait to go shred on my new maxxis tires
Ive rented multiple bikes, they do a good job accommodating and making sure I know what Im doing. FriendlyThanks -Dallas
Great mountain bike shop with helpful staff and good prices.
These guys are awesome. Just trust me when I tell you that they’ll do the right thing and take care of you
I know nothing about bikes but they always help me find the perfect gift for all my biking loving friends and family. They have gone out of thier way a couple times to help me even when I didnt spend very much.
These guys have great service and know their stuff. Highly recommend.
Very helpful staff and a great selection of punk rock that they play in the shop!!
Placed an order for a rear shock online at noon and received a shipment notice at 2:30. That is great service.
Friendly staff, quick and quality service. They helped me with what I needed and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need.
Great experience. Very helpful!
AMAZING! These guys are 2 for 2 for the most obscure parts! thanks alot !
I was impressed with the younger staff. They were professional and friendly.
Very helpful in selecting a good fit in riding shoes.
I highly trust Go-Ride. They are the only shop I trust to work on suspension. Very helpful
Fantastic customer service; knowledgeable and patient, answered all of our questions. Would Shop.
Super helpful choosing and setting up new bike
Perfect place for mountain bike needs.
Went in to get my unicycle looked at and the guy just blew me off. Told me I just had a cheap unicycle. Went down the street to another bike shop and they fixed it in 5 minutes. Disappointed by the effort and lack of service
Great store and fast service
I called the store went right into voice mail ... Never returned our call. Walked in to the store talked to the sales man that we had a Mongoose BMX bike ... He said he needed to see the bike .. In our way out he never followed us outside. Got the bike, bring it in to the store and as soon as we walked in he said that they dont work in this type of bikes??? Why didnt he said that and saved us the time and effort and time to go out for the bike????????
Sooo friendly and helpful- and they dont make you feel dumb like other bike shops!!!
Great service and great bikes!
Called placed a reservation, go to location 10 min later they sold it to someone else.
Great bike for a great price!
Very helpful and friendly.
Pablo in particular was great!
