I went in there about 10 minutes ago. I was going to look at Childrens books. The cashier stood in my way. Wouldnt move. I walked around her and looked. She would go right in front of me. I decided to leave and she yet again walked right in front of me and proceeded to get on her phone. For such a small store she sure made sure she was right there. I looked behind me and not 1 smile. I was going to buy books for my 3 girls. I wont now or ever from there
The cashier was very nice and really knew about the book plots and give suggestions. He saw me looking at a horror type of novel of which I just looked out of curiosity and suggested me something more lighter yet intriguing, The Girl on the Train. He wasnt wrong, Im hooked with the novel!
Good selection of books, but what makes this a great experience is the gentleman who works here. He is so passionate about books and is great at recommending books. What a nice and smart guy!
Suzette is awesome. We had a merry discussion about Neil Gaiman (who had been in the store on Saturday to stealth sign, and which awesome moment we both missed, alas!), and then there was a merry argument with a recalcitrant card machine, and all in all it was a terrific interaction.I asked about getting to the store location since it is in the airport (I was ordering over the phone, but entirely prepared to buy a ticket to the nearest city *just* to pick up a signed Norse Mythology), and she said they also ship. Yay!Thank you so much, Suzette and Simply Books!
Airport taxes, etc. increase the prices a bit above normal retail, but theres a really good selection with new titles and classics alike. If you want a page-turner for your flights, this is a good place to stop!
For an airport a pretty impressive selection BUT the clerk needs new work. I asked her where I might find a copy of Life After Life. Not 3 steps from her she couldnt be bothered to walk over, pointed, then leaned back. When I asked could you be more specific (I wasnt able to read the book binder), she took ONE more step and pointed again. Now THATs service. My reaction: wow. Another customer who saw the whole thing rolled her eyes in agreement. (incident was on 3/11/16)
