I often go here for indian groceries. Good variety of products. best quality. Only veggies are sometime not fresh.
I have a regular dinner night with my friends and I thought Id make saag paneer for the first time since we love Indian food. Ive seen this grocery store often but Id never been inside. Its a big store with a wide selection (to me) of a little bit of everything. Fresh produce, frozen produce, ready-made meals, as well as two whole aisles of ingredients to cook fresh. There was even a little beauty section and plenty of snacks that Im excited to try.The store is clean and well organized. The cashier was very friendly and gave me a small discount for being a first time customer. He mentioned that his friend bought the store 6 months ago, so its under new management. I plan to go back and recommend it to anyone who is interested in cooking Indian food or trying new snacks. The only thing I would recommend is that the spice section have smaller sizes available. Everything is reasonably priced, but it would be hard for me to use a entire bag of whole cardamom seeds!
Very reasonable prices compared to other stores. Fresh vegetables. Great snack selection. Organized well. Their fresh goat is really good. Will visit again.
Perfect place for Indian groceries. Joy was so welcoming and helpful for choosing few products. Fresh veggies and nice stuff.
I give businesses five stars often but this one really DID deserve the five stars! Im not used to receiving such individualized care. Answered questions, welcoming atmosphere and large selection of goods! Looks like they have delicious rice hot cereal I want to get next time.
Under new management the prices are really good. Many New products added now.
Came in to get some ingredients to make masala tea (chai) and the man working was extremely helpful and kind! Good prices and plently of availablity! Check it out for yourself
Welcome. Thank you for the great customer service and good selection of products.
The ones who work there are some of the most wholesome people Ive ever met. Also, they have great selections for great quality! Highly recommend for anyone in the area or passing through
The store is under new management. They are doing a good job and very helpful. I met Joy who was super helpful to me and others in the store in finding vthe items.
Best indian grocery store in Salt lake area. New management, excellent products at reasonable rates. Dont carry expired products like others. I recommend everyone to buy from this store.
Awesome little shop with cool products for sale, staff is eager to help someone not familiar with Indian ingredients and culture have fun here!!
Amazing selection! Great foods at great prices! Very convenient location and friendly staff! Clean, open, and a comfortable shopping experience.
Great for those Indian necessities you cant find at a big chain store. Prices are good and the store is clean and well organized. The owners are friendly and were able to help me find the spices I needed immediately. Definitely recommend.
Love, love this store!! Depat is so nice and helpful - cannot wait to revisit as I venture this new Indian cooking. Will be there a LOT!! ❤😊
Great place
This store was great. The man who was running the place was so very nice and helpful. All the different interesting spices and foods from India and other places in the world were fun to check out.
Store agent was very helpful in helping find all the different products I needed. Wide variety of spices and Indian foods. 5 star.
Nice Indian market with very nice cashier. Good selection.
Very helpful and the best prices on spice around. Also GREAT chapati. The firehouse down the street loves this place
Great selection, helpful staff. Highly recommend.
Great Indian grocery store. Owner is friendly & helpful. Which is awesome. But sometimes they keep products which will expire in one or two month. Other than that everything is good.
Great place to get a lot of Indian groceries for sure. Prices are reasonable. Would always prefer cash so due to some reason which was really awful since he denied card.
The best Indian grocery store in Salt Lake City. The owner is well receiving.
Good pricing, but has poor lighting and in organized shelving making it very difficult to find anything.
It is a good neighbourhood Indian store. You get all the basic things you need. Indian curd, amul butter, parle-g biscuits, aashirvad Aata, haldiram namkeen, Indian vegetables, pooja related stuff and many more things. Simply putting you wont miss India at least from the food point of view.Few things which they can improve like1. Keep fresh vegetablesA suggestion - You can build a group to inform willing customers when new stocks comes in.2. Pricing of few items are high or rather higher than competitors.3. Store should be proactive to clear things which are near exp date. Trust is very important & very difficult to build. You may have a good return policy but no one has time to return stuffs less than $5.
Great indian food market
Its okay. They have limited options when it comes to froxen food or snacks. It is great ztore if you are only looking for dry groceries to fill your pantry up. Fresh vegetables are usually old
Good place most of the gocery you get
They were very helpful, had a great variety, & I loved the decor & the incense burning! I will definitely be going back!
The store is well stocked and has a good collection of groceries and frozen items. They’re also reasonably priced.
Good indian grocery n nearby to Taylorsville n summerwood apartments
This is one of the good Indian Grocery store with good range of options. I recommend this place if you want some wide variety of Indian Grocery Items. It also have good options of Indian snacks
Initially when we were new to this city, we heard little bad things from this store like they sell expired products, because of this reason we kept away from this store. But as this store is close to my place, I used to go to this store in emergency situation, eventually we found that this store is not a bad one at all. Only drawback it has is it doesnt have fresh vegetables.
So may Indian choices. The owner was very helpful and explained a few of the items. On occasion the store owner will have her dad there watching but he speaks no English.
Only putting 3 stars because I was in a hurry and didnt have time to look around fully. Was mostly looking for some different curry options and glad to say I was not disappointed. Almost a dozen different kinds ranging from curry pastes to marinades and dried seasonings. Only wish they had more tikka masala mix when I was there, but hey if youve ever made tikka masala before you know what to add to make more. As I was checking out I saw a bunch of knick knacks on the top of the store that looked interesting. All in all, I have to say I need to go back to see what more they have.
Really great Indian clothing. Needed outfits for a fundraiser and found really nice items and the girl wven altered them for free.
Great selection of spices. Very friendly.
Wish they had more hours they operate, I cant go during lunch break
Good place most of the gocery you get ...
A lot of expired food. Rude customer service.
Great indian store with alot of rare spices which are not found in others. Customer service was great both Patel helped us in our return. Thank you guys
Decent Indian grocery store,I find it slightly expensive than other indian stores but its a conveniet location. The owners are helpful but I felt the store is not maintained to high standards and its not spic n span clean and not thoroughly organized. I have sometimes got expired food products here, so make sure you read the dates on food items. Otherwise, I visit sikh temple every week and buy groceries for donation and I find it convenient to shop hereas its just around the block.
Excellent variety, friendly, actively helpful. Always has maggi, my favorite winter noodles.
Nice store for Indian spices, sweets, snacks and other stuff. Owners of the store are cheerful and helping.
My go place for all my Indian spices
Great market 👌
Pros:1. A good limited collection of groceries, snacks, and frozen foods. They carried brands that are not usually available in other Indian stores in the state. They also carry a limited section of Indian dresses.2. Vegetable section is quite good. I liked the way the curry leaves were loosely packed and they were quite fresh.3. The religious section carried pictures of Hindu gods, small idol face plates, clothes (veshti?), homam items, havan and prayer books.4. They had a collection of millets, such as, Varagu (Kodo Millet), Samai (Small Millet), Thinai (Foxtail Millet). I dont think other Indian groceries carry them.Cons:1. A disadvantage is most of them dont carry price tags. You cant see the prices of the items until you get the receipt in hand. The itemized bill do list the name of the items but you dont see the prices, even when the cashier is ringing it up in the register. I didnt pick up some of the items, since I was not sure of the prices and I did not want to take each item to the cashier for a price check.2. Fried snacks were not good. They had the smell of old oil still in them, indicating the items were out-dated, especially the Aabhiruchi brand from Chicago. After trying the fried snack foods in most of the Indian grocery shops, I must say that they are neither good nor healthy. In most of them, the fried oil has degraded and developed off-odors and off-flavors. They are poorly packed allowing for degradation by light and air. So, my suggestion is to totally stay off them. DIY at home!3. Items are not organized well. Some are still in the boxes and some are out of reach in the top of the shelves. Lots of boxes lying around in the back taking up much space and giving a cluttered look. The shop is relatively new on the scene (2016?). Maybe, in time, they will get their organization right.I will visit again for a limited shopping. If they want more of my money, they need to make it more customer friendly (at least by putting up appropriate price labels!).
Fair prices. All desi stuff available. Near to the city
Great place to buy spices, herbs, Indian products, etc.
Not friendly, very much money minded mentality rather than building relation to customer.
Lots of variety. Good prices
Friendly service. I found every indian product I wanted here.
