Husband and I needed to bring our vehicle in to get our tire looked at and repaired due to a leak. They pulled the vehicle right in to work on after giving me a quote for possible options if it could be patched or not. Asked if they also do state inspections, which they do. They told me they would update me whether it was repairable or not. As soon as they found out they updated us that they were already repairing it and quickly moved on to the inspection. Everybody we came across was friendly and asked how we were doing. Chris helped us find the engine air filters for our vehicles and adjusted the price to match competitors. He was super helpful and will definitely be back to work with him in the future for any purchases we need to make for our vehicles. Once they were finished with the vehicle they let us know and informed us of our rear wiper blade, and license plate light being out. Also, let us know that some of the tires were a bit over inflated and adjusted them accordingly. The experience was great. The building itself could use a mild remodel. Some fresh paint, striping the floors, new cieling tiles, etc. Small fixes would make a huge impact. Would recommend this location to anybody.

I like Tony and would do business here if I could, but I had a quote of over $1,600 to have control arms replaced.Looking online, I found brand new parts for $120 so why the $1500 upcharge on a simple job?

First time here at this particular Pep Boys. Had to bring my car in because the ride side passenger tire had a slow leak. I aslo decided to get my vehicle inspection completed since it was coming due and I was already here. Very convenient that they offer that service here and only for $7. This location also has a nice sized parts store connected to the their mechanic shop, which made it nice because I had to pickup an air filter for my vehicle. Also, their waiting room is pretty clean, (for a shop), and they keep a portable air conditioner running to keep it cool, which is very nice. They aslo have a Keurig coffee machine, (for those who like coffee). Coffee was all out when I visited, but, Im not a big coffee drinker so it didnt bother me. Takeaway, experience was great, everyone was extremely pleasant and very helpful. I wouod visit this location again.

I got my oil changed and the employee who worked on it. Stripped my oil plug, the managers have gone back and forth telling me one thing after another and then tried to do a cheap fix on my vehicle. I forced the issue for them to replace the oil pan and drain plug. This has been going on since last week. The manager who was suppose to be there wasnt there. Someone else is going to fix it. I wont be coming back here to pep boys. Im highly a dissatisfied customer and their customer service is horrible as well. If I could give negative zero stars on this business I would. I wont be coming back here ever again.

Fantastic, amazing service!

Had a bit of a battery issue up in San Marcos, our battery completely failed on us after stopping for 10 minutes to grab some coffee. We still were under warranty w Pep Boys (where we bought the battery) but the nearest pep boys was 35 minutes south. Obviously not a fun way to start the day but we needed to tackle this problem before we could carry on.. so we got a jump start and travelled south to this location where we met Sebastian. He greeted us right away and was very friendly! He helped us get the battery swapped out and replaced under warranty and apparently the model we had was no longer available so we ended up swapping out with a newer better version at a small expense to us! Im really happy with the help we got from Sebastian, made all the stress of the morning kind of wash away. Thanks again yall!

Awesome customer service both in shop and store !!!! Willing & eager to locate or help with any part, cleaner or Auto part you may have concerns about!!! I go in about once a week just to check out whats on sale and look at new accessories to add on my car( lights,decals, switches, spray paint for rims )!! Dont for get to check out clearance isle !!!! Always leave with something in hand !!!! Not to mention service center seriously gave me the best deal on my front suspension that desperately needed to be completely replaced... It was an expensive fix but what was quoted at $3600 ( with laibor cost included) after pleanty of coupons including 50% off laibor I only paid $1400 out the door & car was safe once again ... Guaranteed !!!!

Got a tire there good place

Had my clutch fail on my M3 on the way home from work and was advised through my insurance that this place was a reputable repair shop close to where I could get it towed. I had my car towed there and informed them the next day of the issue. Every couple of days I would call asking the status of my car to which they would tell me the guys not here who could do the repairs. Not only did it take two weeks to repair my clutch, the leather was some how ripped off my shift knob when I went to pick it up. I show this to the manager who tells me that they do not know how it would have happened since they were never in the car but I found several tools in the car which were not mine, The manager agrees to order a new shift knob and writes down the part number as if he will order it. They say they will call me when the part comes in. Its been almost 2 months and I yet to here from them. I would not recommend this shop as they do not keep their word.

Pep Boys Automotive was able to replace my battery in about 10 Minutes. They even replaced my Battery Terminals for free.

Have a slow leaking front tire. And the manager said that he wouldnt be able to service it today. There was only two cars in the eight bay garage with two mechanics on duty.But he said to come back tomorrow. So I asked to use their air hose to top off my low tire. Which holds 65 psig. on a 3/4 ton Ford F-250. So Ill find someone else tomorrow. Thanks

Pep Boys had exactly what I needed at $2.00 cheaper than anyone else in town. While in the store I noticed they had a big sale going on. Too bad there isnt a Pep Boys near my home. The savings will make the trip worthwhile. If you work on your own vehicle and lawn mower, you need to visit this place. They work on vehicles in their own shop. They replaced a water pump in my vehicle 14 years ago. It is still working. Good quality parts are sold at reasonable prices. You will also find a friendly, helpful service as well.🚘🚙🚗🚚🚛🚜

These guys don’t know anything about cars they said I needed a new power steering pump when I had an electrical pump. They also said I need it all types of stuff replace that didn’t need to be replaced. I wouldn’t trust this place at all

The guys at Pep Boys are always ready to help you out. Even if youre just looking for something simple like a replacement blinker bulb. They are more than happy to look it up for you and even help you go find it if you want. I have been going to Pep Boys since I was a teenager. So well over a quarter-century now. And I have always been done right by Pep Boys whether it be by their prices or their employees.

While waiting in line at their competition down the street for over 20 minutes (without so much as a verbal acknowledgment), I Googled nearby tires and this store came up. They greeted me immediately and had my tire patched and ready to go within 30 minutes of my arrival. The level of service here is top notch. They have succeeded in taking an accidental customer, and turning them into a loyal one. Thank you!

The convenience of this place being near work has been helpful to me. The work done on my vehicle had been satisfying and usually within an appropriate timeframe. Occasionally my vehicle stayed overnight so that staff will have access to it. Fortunately, leaving my automobile for an extended period has not been a problem. Mostly likely, I will take my vehicle to this location again.As usual with auto repair shops, the bathroom in the waiting lounge and the one in the store could use more attention or more frequent attention. Or both.

Poor customer service. Employee left at register had no training in how to complete sale and when he called manager, managers excuse was that he had to feed his employees. If that is so, send the new employee, who is still learning, to get food for your crew and not leave him way out of his depth.

Slow! This place is slow, things are not moving at all. I got the appointment prior for 3pm and when I reach (on time) I had to wait and then once formalities are done my car was waiting for some time. Once the work done car came out but the front desk guys started entertaining other (newly arrived) customers rather than releasing my car. I was waiting for 30minutes. Almost 2hrs for oil change and simple checking work which actually took 15minutes.

Always was a great place to buy parts and auto supplies, Im saddened to hear that the retail portion of this location has closed.

Absolute worst service here!I made an appointment for them to check my AC. Usually and appointment means that you have a scheduled time for them to service you... not here. I walked in 10 minutes before my appointment. didn’t get greeted/helped for 5 minutes, and when I told them i had an appointment, he said that I would need to leave my car there for maybe 4-5 hours until an AC diagnostic tool was available for him to check my car. I explained again that I had an appointment for this, and he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders.this is not service. I work in the service industry as well, and I wouldn’t treat any guest who came into my job like this.

These guys are great. Very knowledgable, kind, trustworthy and quick. Max is A1 and is very good at what he does. My first time going to them was a few days ago and I wont go anywhere else now. Keep it up guys!

I called ahead to make sure i could get my flat repair done. I explained my situation to the manager ( Roy) that i had left the San Pedro Store and that had no openings. Even thought it was about 750 when i showed up him and his technician were more than accommodating and did not rush me out of the door. They were extremely professional and will return to them for future business.

Speaking from my own experience. A+ on customer service. From the moment I stepped right in, up until the job was completed. the sales lady who was on stand by was very nice and very helpful. Additionally, The service that I received today wad definitely top notch. Cezar D was the mechanic who installed the new shocks that I ordered. This guy is very professional, very humble, and very knowledgeable. He had a lot of patience with me and thoroughly explained the process which actually taught me something new. Everyone else were the same way. i didnt get the rest of the staff names but — Hands down, you guys rock! Thank you for a job well done.

Had a great experience. Never thought it was so difficult to get a tire after 6pm, but Pepboys saved me. We walked in and got a tire and walked out in 15 minutes. Michael was very courteous and nice. Which, is awesome considering having a blowout doesnt make you too happy. I never seen someone so happy to change a tire. (Think his name was Fabian) he even went and put it back on my car. I got a brand new tire, fast service, and a great price. I highly recommend this place, especially if your like me with no patience.

After spending $800 on new tires. The next day I noticed someone stole my new wireless headphones I just purchased. I always kept them in a compartment below the radio. Knowing it was my word versus theirs, I called the store to make them aware of the incident. They said they would check their cameras and get back to me, but Im not holding my breath over it. I wont give my money to a PepBoys again!!

I brought my car in because it was leaking fluids. Was told it was my radiator. They kept my car for a week waiting for the part. I had requested they check my brakes and everything else while my car was in the shop. When the radiator was finally fixed, I went to pick my car up. It made sounds I had never heard before. I went in to ask and was told there is NOTHING wrong with your vehicle except the CO2 connector may be wonky, thatll be another $100 to check. I told them to leave it alone and paid my $1500 and left. Brought the car back in a week later because it sounded like it was falling apart, my husband wouldnt even drive it because he said it sounded unsafe. I take it back to be told I wore down the brakes from perfectly fine, to metal to metal, in a week. Needless to say they are fixing the brakes for free and I will never bring my car back here again.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP IF YOU WANT IT FIXED. I took my sons car there for a coolant leak. It was running when I brought it in on a Monday. They had it for a week and gave my son the run around every other day. Kept saying that it was ready, then it wasnt, something else had to be replaced, etc. Then they had to wait for the master technician to look at it. Waited until Saturday for him to have time to look at it. We had to keep following up. Finally they just said that they couldnt fix it and we needed to remove the car from their property. They were adamant that we not drive it and must have it towed. We suspected that the technicians working on it broke some things along the way. Ended up spending $1,400 at the dealer fixing everything, including Pep Boys work. I then spent a month in the customer service queue trying to get some resolution for the time and money spent. I followed their process which got escalated to all levels. I even took a copy of the dealer invoice to the store, all per their instructions, only to be given a claim number so I could be prompted DENIED. No resolution. No apologies. No accountability on their part. No care for a dissatisfied customer. In the end, if you have a customer complaint, customer relations will route you to claims and claims determines your fate. The woman handling the claim (that I didnt even submit) was rude, defensive and raised her voice to me when I questioned their methods for resolving customer issues. There is no other recourse. I gave them one last opportunity today before I wrote this review. BE WARNED! YOUR CAR MAY NEVER BE FIXED BY PEP BOYS.

Really good customer service here. They have a lot of parts and smaller things that I think most parts store wouldnt have.The only thing I dont like is that they have a parts counter but you have to go to the cash register to look up your part. Then you take the part number the cashier gives you to the parts counter and they get the part for you. If theres a long line at the cashier then it seems like youd be screwed.

Tire service is #1, sad to see the Pep Boys side closed up shop. Always had great prices and very knowledgeable staff.

I am very disappointed in the way my car was handled here. I had my alternator replaced here two and half years ago with a lifetime guarantee that the service member gave me, stating that this should never have been a problem and that my alternator will not go out again. I understand things happen but now I am getting replaced again because the alternator I was given by Pep Boys was faulty. I am having to pay an obscene amount of money for them to replace a product that GUARANTEED would not go out as well as having to pay for another battery that died because of the faulty alternator. I am genuinely disappointed and I am surprised that they are allowed to make the false promises that they do without someone from upper management or corporate telling them they cannot based on the rest of the comments that are equally disappointed with how this business is ran. The staff is rather polite and helpful but the way this company is ran is very disheartening.

Ive been here 2 times both for simple oil changes on a 2006 f150. The man behind the counter told me it would be an hr wait and i ended up waiting over 3 hrs the first time. The second time i went the manager spotted me and remembered me because i had made a complaint the first time. He told me he would get me out in less then a hr. I ended up waiting almost 2 hrs. I have to take my truck her because its a company vehicle and HR wont let me go anywhere else. I recently had a minor tire emergency. The folks at this store were wonderful! they fixed my issue, and I was able to go on my way.

Im my last visit this past week they try to make be buy a new battery, they said mine wasnt good anymore but I knew it was almost new and only need it to be charged, I ask them to charge it and they dais it would take about 3 minutes to do so. I know it needs at least an hour to be charged, I left the battery there in a few minutes later they call mbre to say ill need a need one. I pick it up after that took it to a different place, ale them to charge it, they did and now the battery is working as of nothing ever happen. I know some employees work on commission but to lie about the condition of a vehicle or I this case a battery just to make a sale is ridiculous. I been here many times before over the past 12 years and this is the first time they lie in my face, I feel really upset.

Brought car in for estimate for problem with power window. Was given an estimate for replacing the motor for the power window. Called and made an appt to bring it in for repair at 8:30 on 4/10/18. Arrived to find out that part had not been ordered yet, and was told part should arrive around 11am and was assured the repairs would be completed that day. Was called at 3:30pm and told that there was another part needed that they had to order and it would not be in until the following morning. Agreed to leave the car overnight so the work could be completed the next day. Called the next morning and was told the part should arrive by noon. Was called at 2:30pm and told part still wasnt there so repairs had no begun. Said I needed car back so put it back together and I will be picking it up. So two days off of work wasted and car sat in shop and was never touched. Will not be returning ever to have work done here. Totally unprofessional that the original part had not been ordered prior to my arrival for scheduled appointment.

Oil change was quick, efficient, friendly, low-priced, waiting room and bathroom were clean and had free coffee. Couldnt get any better, in my opinion.

Went and paid to get my tires rotated and balanced, they put 0 weights on my back tires so I went somewhere else and recieved over 8 ounces of weights on my back tires. Customer service was horrible and they didnt even do the job right, Ill never go back

Service was spot on! By the time i finished my cup of free coffee my oil change was done! Two thumbs up!

The bathroom had no toilet paper and stank. The mechanics looked and acted sketchy, if not high. They took 2 1/2 hours just to add Freon into my cooling system, then they said it had a leak. They then wanted to charge me almost $900 to repair it. No. Previously had priced tie rod ends and they wanted $25, went down to Auto zone and got them for $13. Way too shady.

If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT let them do alignment on your vehicle. They supposedly did mine and i had to take it to the dealership for a programing recall. They do an alignment check on every vehicle and found my truck was way out of alignment. My sons truck they left bolts loose. Dont use the service center.

I went here for an oil change and then after about an hour and a half I asked the guy at the counter why it was taking so long. Turns out they were taking my entire engine apart and “checking for problems” which I had not asked them to do. They then told me about some supposed problems that my car had and tried to give me a quote to fix them, keep in mind I wasn’t having any issues before this point. The next day I start up my car and the steering wheel is stuck in place, after a while I’m able to make it move again but turning is now very unsmooth, and a few of my engine lights were now turning on. My point is pep boys will purposefully screw with your car so they can fix it, not to mention overcharge the hell out of you. The problems they caused to my car were going to end up costing me more than my car was worth so I got rid of it. It was a dependable car before this and I had hoped I would be able to get through the rest of my college years with it but thanks to pep boys this is no longer the case. Days later I was explaining this situation to a classmate who used to work the desk at a pep boys and she straight up told me they purposefully cause you problems so you will have to pay them to fix them. Just plain low, not only will I never recommend pep boys, I tell this story to everyone who tells me about any car troubles/maintenance and warn them to steer clear of pep boys.

Its a good place to go with a flat tire and the bathroom is clean and the free coffee is good with the free WiFi but it is really expensive. I have to pay 1129.18 dollars for them to fix my flat tire and battery and a break

A typical auto maintenance center, you have to make sure you tell the associate helping you about the prices you saw online or they will charge you the higher in-store cost.
