Very friendly staff and better selection than most retail bead stores.

Had a hard time finding this place since its off the main street but glad I did. There were many different beads to choose from and although some beads were on the expensive side there were some that were discounted as well as those that were reasonably priced. The cashier was friendly and even happily sang along to some country music that was playing throughout the store.

My boys and i were wanting to make beaded bracelets and found ourselves in Bead Boys. What a cool experience - very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We found many things we needed and had a lot of fun wandering around their very neat and artsy shop. I highly recommend this store to anyone feeling the urge to create with beads.

Love 💘 this place. Went in for crimp beans and crimp covers approximately less than $10 and ended up spending about $90 like a kid in a candy store. If you need it they have it. Well worth having to ride 2 busses to get there.

Google maps says to turn left (going toward 1604 on Thousand Oaks) after the pizza hut. You turn left in Pizza Huts driveway & the road immediately forks. You stay right & Bead Boys is straight ahead.

Unfriendly vibes!! WAY OVERPRICED!! I usually purchase my beading supplies online, but found myself in a time crunch, so I thought I would see about BeadBoys. Sorely disappointed!! The little man never left his perch behind the register. He was too busy chattering on about some vacation to greet me, or offer any assistance. When I finally asked for assistance, he seemed only too happy that they didnt have what I needed, and quickly shuffled me out the door. NOMADIC NOTIONS was SO MUCH BETTER!!

AMAZING!!!! This locally owned shop has a TON of inventory; not only in quantity but also VARIETY. They have pieces that you cant find in other stores. Ive been doing wire work for about 10 years. Recently, Ive been all over town and shopped online to find particular clasps and crimps and I just couldnt find what I needed. I found them at Bead Boys. They also offer classes in wire work and metalsmithing.

This shop is so wonderful! The owner is amazing and so sweet! Willing to answer any questions we had and point us in the right direction in locating what we needed. Thank you so much for all the beautiful stones and gems!

Incredible place! I can’t believe I wasn’t aware of it sooner. They have the best selection of seed beads I’ve ever seen. Amazing colors, many I’ve never seen before. They have a great range of semi-precious beads, starting at like $3/strand(which are a fantastic deal, I have tons of these) up to $30+/strand for the really good stuff! It’s super “mom and pop”, which I love. In fact the original owners, a husband and wife just sold the place to their good friends, also husband and wife! How cute is that? Really friendly vibe, great customer service, mind blowing selection- I really adore this place. Can you tell?

Went in looking for a specific type of cord. They had it which is awesome because, if they didnt, I would have needed to order from China. A very nice gentleman helped me find what I was looking for in no time. Tons of items, from amazing to quite reasonable pricing. Glass fusing bails! Youll spend money here, Ill wager. Very helpful staff, very affordable pricing. These folks love the subject matter, and probably opened up a shop incidental to their passion.

I love these guys. They are fun to visit and this store is huge and filled with supplies. This isnt the place to go for sterling silver, but they have everything else, plus a good sense of humor! The prices are great. They always ask what we are looking for so they can point us in the right direction. I have been shopping with them for 5 years, awesome experience.

Bead Boys offers wide variety of pearls, findings, charms, chains and fire polished crystals. They stock bead wire in lots of colors and gauges. Prices are low. Staff is very friendly. Classes and books are available. There are places to sit and design. Good sun lit lighting. And, you can buy gifts made by local jewelry artists. Good store for beginners to stock up.

Super rude and judgemental. We were visiting San Antonio and my husband asked me to find a bead store because he was looking for a particular type of silver bead. I found this place closest to our hotel. Immediately the man asked what he was looking for and my husband told him. Then the man at the counter asked what he needed it for and when my husband told him, the employees response was that they did not have what he was looking for before my husband could even look around the store. He outright made us feel unwanted in his store and has terrible customer service. We visit San Antonio every year and never get treated like that.

All my Latin people. On this site they will discriminate against you if you speak Spanish. I went with my mother and the treatment since they heard us speaking in our native language was despicable. They followed us while we shopped, they asked us for IDs to pay with a credit card in my name. Zero customer service. We feel totally discriminated against with his non-verbal language and the short answers in a hit way. We felt like they just wanted us to get out of there. We finally left and decided not to buy anything. How sad that it is a city like San Antonio there are still people like that. Find another place to buy because I do not recommend going through the bad time that they put me and my mother through.
