Great selection of hops, omega, wyeast and white labs yeast. Got my grains crushed there and they were placed in a large heavy duty bag that was heat sealed. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable service. I’ll be back for sure!

I noticed you have a new employee working today 10/10/21 and he was very nice. I suggest you keep him and remove the other not so nice employee thats been there about a year or so. Every time I deal with him hes been rude to me for no reason. I work in the Service industry as well and I can tell you that I would fire people for less than the way this man has treated me on several occasions. His attitude is absolutely horrible.

This place is the best, their the only ones in San Antonio that will refill my c02 tank for my kegorator and always answer question I have about my kegorator. I dont understand the negative reviews. When I was there on 1/19 both the gentlemen in the store were very friendly and helpful. This is my first time home brewing and they made everything easy for a novice like myself. They were very knowledgable and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. Also helped me save a few bucks by hooking me up with a quality starting kit that had pretty much everything I needed. My first batch of west coast pale ale is now sitting in my kitchen fermenting and I cant wait to try it out! Thanks guys!

My first time here. I was expecting inflated prices especially due to the pandemic. Absolutely not my experience. I legitimately blown away by the friendly Welcome to our store/ if theres anything that we are able to help you with let us know. I feel that the prices are reasonable. I was looking for some equipment for mead and I got exactly what I went there for. It didnt feel like staff was pushing me to a more expensive product that was on their shelf. They were more like Either will work, it just depends on what you need it for is what serves you best is the way you feel they are talking. I will be going here again.

I was told the process to fill a co2 tap was it hat to be cold, went to go fill it at your store. They took it at warm temperature and fill it, I ran out three days later. Called in and the person that answered the phone said that I have a leak, but my tank before that refill lasted me 6 weeks.

We walked in with a pretty crazy project that we needed help building for our heritage room. Immediately the staff was willing to help us. After a few moments of planning out this whiskey dispenser we had a plan and Dan offered to meet us on Saturday his day off to help build the dispenser. After 15 hours and numerous problems we finally made a solution. The staff was beyond helpful and we are proud to have worked with such awesome people.

I really appreciate that they didnt try to sell me things I didnt need and they took the extra time and care to ensure I knew how everything worked. They have made a lifetime customer!

This is the only place in town worth visiting if you’re looking to homebrew beer. I stop here any time I need more products, whether it’s specialized grains, yeast, hops, cleaning products etc. also they have a great selection of cheese and wine making products. It’s worth stopping in if you’re a hobbyist or a regular maker.

Just found this place while husband was working on building a home kegerator. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We now have one working thanks to them!

This place is great!but if your interested in filling a co2 tank you should use this place only in a pinch...they only fill tanks as much as the CO2 can condense, which is about half in a 20 lb tank.(less on smaller tanks)-you should fill then release pressure then fill again- or freeze tank to achieve 20 lb of liquid in tankbut the end result is what should cost $25 bucks for 20 lbs of CO2end up being $30 bucks for a half full tank!but everything else is amazing!

Went in there once a couple months ago just out of curiosity and the employee working there spent a long time telling me all about home brewing even though he knew I wasnt in the market to buy yet. Today I got a kit as a gift and unfortunately there was something missing. Went in and the employee Adam fixed the problem with no hassle at all. He spent some time talking with me and giving me some tips. He gave me his card and said something to the effect of no matter how stupid of a question you think you have, give me a call and I will answer it for you. Thought that was pretty dang cool.Helpful staff and welcoming environment. Highly recommended if you want to start a new hobby. I think Ill end up being a regular customer here.

As a novice HBer I was excited to find a local supplier. I was even happier after my first visit. Ive been here three times for multiple items including ingredients and supplies. The staff has been engaging, conversational, and helpful with advice. The variety of product is acceptable, especially when I want something NOW. Keep up the great work.

If they dont have something you would like, they can find it for you. They usually have Homebrew on tap for the customers why they are waiting for their orders to be filled.

Purchased my first kegging system from here and they understood my pain of bottling for the last 5 years.. They helped replace the O rings on the keg and gave me a quick lesson on how to setup the keg. Ive been enjoying the Irish Red Ale brewed.

Dont know what other reviewers mean when they refer to the staff. Every time I went in there was only one person working the store. That person may or may not have been nice or knowledgeable, but if all I needed was one item off the shelf and the person in front of me wanted 20 lbs. of grain milled; I had a long time to wait if I really needed that item. I also prefer to limit the amount of packaging I have to deal with, so I like to buy full containers when practical. More than once they refused to sell a full container because someone else might come in later and want part of it. I still havent figured that one out. Poor stock management = you cant buy it ? My last attempt to buy locally was to ask to simply special order a full container for me to purchase. They said they would, but couldnt tell me when the order would be placed. Now I simply order on line from AHS and skip the frustrations. FYI, I have been brewing for over 20 years while living in 3 different states, so I have a pretty good basis for comparison to other homebrew shops

We went here for supplies to bottle wine. They had everything we needed, and the staff were very helpful. They clearly have a passion for home brewing and wine making. They want to talk to you about what you are doing and share their own experiences and knowledge.

I’ve made wine before with my dad and since his passing I decided it was time to do my own batch. Walked into the store in my scrubs looking to buy a starter set and two large carboys. The sales person was busy with a customer. Sadly he didn’t acknowledge me nor let me know he would attend me shortly. When the couple left I let him know I didn’t appreciate the service and was taking my business elsewhere.

Ive been here multiple times, usually without a clue of what to buy but staff members have always been nice. Yes, as others said, they can occasionally be understaffed but I understand they are a small store and probably dont always need multiple employees at once. They werent too pricey, never pushy, always helpful and laid back people! :)

Home Brew Party is the best for us home brewers: knowledgeable and helpful people, a great selection of brewing ingredients and supplies and they even have sample brews to try! Its the only place to go.

They help a first timer get everything needed to make mead. They real know how to make you feel welcome and willing to teach you. They have just about anything you need to make wine, beer, mead and other drinks. I liked the prices, for 40 I got a kit with everything except the yeast.

Thankfully open on Sundays, saved my brew! The inside is a little tight, but its packed with just about anything youd need to begin or for experienced brewers.

Extremely knowledgeable in the craft, and stayed later than closing time, about 30 minutes, and thats 5 stars only because I couldnt give more

I lived closer to the naco location but it has since closed. Now its a journey and unfortunately San Antonio lacks in Homebrew stores. Its a toss up between here and another one half an hour away. I find the grain prices are very reasonable but equipment can be a bit overpriced. Helpful people though. Strongly recommend.

Their CO2 filling cant fully fill a CO2 tank. My 5 lb tank was brought in cold and they were only able to add about a lb of CO2. I recommend ordering your stuff from NB and going to A1 Fire to fill your CO2 completely.

Had no issues attendant was very helpful and got everything I needed in a timely manner. Thank you this is my first time brewing but I will most definitely be coming back
