The salesman Steven was excellent and very personable. He quickly built a rapport with us. In fact, the day we went to buy the vehicle the price was about seven thousand more than originally quoted on the day we looked at it. We were very disappointed with the new price, but because we liked Steven so much we went ahead with the purchase! Steven made us feel very comfortable. We can’t say enough good things about Steven.

UPDATE: Thank you to Joey for addressing this and taking care of this. I appreciate your sense of urgency. Pre-purchase my experience was good, post purchase it has been terrible. I have not had my calls returned by my salesperson in regards to my plates. I have had to return to dealership to get additional temporary tags for my vehicle. The 2nd tag has expired, I have gone to speak to someone in person on 9/9 and was assured I would get another temporary tag emailed to me. I have not received it as of today and repeated calls to speak to someone have gone unanswered. The tax assessor in Bexar county does not see a record of registration being filed. Im so frustrated with this whole process and cannot legally drive my vehicle I paid a lot of money for. Extremely disappointing considering the current reviews.

We purchased a new 2021 Buick Enclave. Our sales person Ben Espinosa was very honest and had our best interest in mind. He made us feel comfortable during the whole process. Ben answered all the questions we had, showed us how to use the Buick app and even helped get everything set up in our new vehicle before we left the dealership. He also followed up with us after purchase just to see how we are doing with the new Enclave and if we had any questions. He is great at his job. Definitely recommend Ben Espinosa to anyone that wants to purchase a new vehicle!

Just purchased a 2019 Yukon and brought in for service for the first time. This has been by far the poorest experience of all dealers I have ever been to. My service representative has zero communication skills and gives a very rude vibe like I am a bother. Cant get phone calls back I am chasing her trying to figure out whats happening. The technician appears to only work on the vehicle when they feel even though my vehicle has been there a week. This is the second iteration of trying to fix as the issue wasnt fixed the first time. I make appointments and they tell me I am reserved for service but then leave my car sitting untouched for days but also tell me if I take my car home they take it out of line. My brad new tint was scuffed, I brought it up to my service advisor and she brushed it off and never escalated the concern. I asked about having recovery hooks installed, the parts team told me they have it, the service team tells me they dont. Everything is inconsistent and unclear. I have left 4 messages for the Service manager Tim over the last week and a half and have not gotten one call back. Is this normal?

Discovered Cavender Buick purely by chance, AND BOY AM I GLAD! I was in the market for a slightly used Jaguar and the vehicle they had was PERFECT! IN EVERY WAY. My sales rep Joe Barrera was extremely kind, patient and helpful. He held the vehicle for me when the companys policy due to scarcity of inventory was to not hold them. He communicated with me clearly and frequently as I made a 1400 mile trip to scoop up my dream car. Pure class top to bottom. I couldnt be happier. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND.

I was extremely excited to buy my 2017 Chevy Silverado, but now I see that my excitement was misplaced. I have had so many problems with this vehicle. Thankfully I did get the extended warranty on it, but it’s only helped me out a little. Within the first two months of owning the truck the transmission had to be replaced. The touch screen does not work, when I bought the truck the salesman said it must have cleaning solution still on it, since they detailed it, and once that clears up the touch screen will be fine. It hasn’t work the whole time and because I believed him and drove it off the lot I now have to pay around $800 to have it replaced. Now, the truck has issues starting and when it does start the whole engine shakes harshly for a few minutes and then settles down. The check engine light also comes on and there’s a message that pops up saying “engine power reduced”. I took the truck in to get it fixed, they said it was the throttle body that needed to be replaced. So we paid out of pocket to have it replaced since the warranty didn’t cover it. While they had the truck in the shop they called to inform me that my tank for my antifreeze was leaking. Which is weird because I never saw it leak, or had stains on my driveway or in my parking spot at work. It makes me feel like they did something to it but wanted me to pay for it, or they sold it to me that way, which shows their lack of care. Two days after getting the tuck back from the dealership the same issues of the check engine light, the message of “engine power reduced” and the shaking came back. I was furious since we just paid all that money to solve the issue and all that happened is we gave the dealership our money for nothing to be fixed. Also, when I was picking up the truck the service clerk walked around the truck with me to show me they had worked on it and when he opened the hood there was a metal bar that was left sitting on top of the engine. When I asked him about it all he said “that’s not supposed to be there” and took it back to have the bar connected. It seems like this dealership just cares about taking your money and not solving the issues with your vehicle. I have been putting way too much money into this truck for it to be a 2017. It appears that the dealership didn’t take the time and care they needed too to make sure they truck was good to sell before they put it on the lot. I was excited to buy a Chevy because I thought I was getting a quality, long lasting vehicle but instead I got a vehicle that has had nothing but issues since I purchased it. This with the lack of care from the dealership has put a sour taste in my mouth about Chevy. I will never buy another one again and I don’t even know how long I’ll have this one. I might just go get a Tundra or a Ram instead.

I can only blame myself for coming back to a place I had already written off. The communication was not great and it took over 24 hours for a turnaround on replacing of two small parts. I had to call for status updates, nothing proactive. This would not have been so bad if I was not severely overcharged for the work. 2 hours of labor for replacing a nozzle? YouTube makes that change in under 3 mins. Like I said it is my fault but never again.

Against my better judgement, and the advice of all my friends, I took my 2016 Sierra to you because of a misfire, airbag light, and check engine light on. Truck was not getting power and shaking while driving after the misfire. Was charged $2100 to replace an O2 sensor and Catalytic Converter. WAY too much for such work. Did not get my airbag sensor repaired as you wanted $1300 for that (even though it is a safety issue and should be replaced free of charge). Was then told I needed a new transmission for $7500, because my truck still shakes when I drive. It does not shake at all and the truck drives as it did before the misfire. Your service department wanted to charge me a total of $19,000 for services. Complete ripoff. This is not the way you should do business. Thankfully I refused the transmission replacement, and I will NEVER take my vehicle to you again and will tell everyone I know about the horrible experience I had at your service department. Only reason I gave 1 star is that the lady who was helping me was nice and not pushy, and one of the problems was actually fixed. If not for that I would give negative stars.

Good service, loved the video by Tech., showing recommended fixes. My issue was with Advisor not returning calls or texts requesting status. I had to drive over to Buick just to get an update. I take my other vehicles to North Park and if I reach out, they respond. Improve that part of your program and I’d rate you a 10.

This dealership has the worst service department there is. There customer service is horrible since purchasing my brand new 2019 GMC Sierra I have had non stop issues with the vehicle. Every time I call to schedule a diagnostic check or service appointment they give you the run around. They are quick to sell you a vehicle but lack the customer service while your vehicle is under warranty.

Since truck stock was limited, he asked me what I needed and found the truck I wanted in transit. The process to secure the vehicle was easy and smooth as butter. Where do I start, new vehicle with less than 5000 miles breakdown. Contact dealer, states once I get the vehicle towed to them then they can help. Im 105 miles away, call insurance short story they cover 100 miles cost for overage is $200. I call mother in laws insurance, hers covers 7 miles and cost is $300. Call On-Star, they also cover only 100 miles but will wave the overage. Get approval from GMC to have it towed back to dealer. Next itll take 2&1/2 weeks, so I get a rental from the dealership. I drive a 2021 GMC Sierra and was given a Mitsubishi Mirage...Im a big guy really. I finally get my license plates, but still dont have my truck. Finally I get the vehicle back and it smells like oil, was washed but the bugs from the trip were still on the vehicle and it hads water spots everywhere, and the half tank of gas is gone. A week after I get the vehicle back, I get a voice-mail stating the lifters are coming in and I should get my truck back soon, seriously. Ive been a dedicated GMC owner since 2001, but am seriously disappointed and am considering purchasing a competitors truck.

I bought a 2017 Chevy 1500 here from our sales consultant, Brandon Guzman, who was a knowledgeable, patient and excellent person to work with. Him, along with Alfredo (manager)were understanding of our situation.We had chose a vehicle but had delays with bank transferring funds into our account. I called him back later in the day and left a message that I was still waiting to hear back from him.Well its the next day and now Im editing this review. I would give them 10 stars if I could! I purchased my 2014 Forester from them in November 2020. I flew in from Oregon, and this was my first out of state purchase. Let me say that I was blown away at their service. They went above and beyond in support. The salesman I had was Felix. He drove almost an hour just to pick me up from the airport. Hes a stellar guy, and Im so glad I had him as my salesman. Up until that day I arrived, he and his staff were very helpful with any questions I had. They sent me all the paperwork I needed without any issues for me to get the vehicle registered in the state of Oregon. Felix was straight forward from the get go, and wasnt pressuring in any sort of way. He made me feel as if I was talking to a friend or family, and showed me everything that I requested. Felix was sincere, and really cares about his customers, which in turn made me feel relaxed and taken care of. He even put the car up on the lift for me to look underneath myself before deciding to buy this car. Felix made sure that the vehicle had brand new tires installed, and brand new brakes before I flew in just in time for my long road trip back to Oregon. The brakes got done twice, because Felix did a test ride after the mechanic was done doing the brake job and wasnt satisfied. He made them redo the whole brake job. That just blew my mind that Ive never seen a dealership that had so much pride in excellence. They even called me a couple of times after my purchase just to see if there were any issues months later. Tell me that isnt care, because they already got the transaction finished. I wish they were local to me, because I would do business with them on a regular basis. I can say hands down that this was the best car buying experience Ive ever had hands down! Thanks to Felix, and the Cavender Buick GMC West staff. You gave me the experience I will never forget.

The car took 14 days to repaired. Service was terrible, Rep didnt care much and was argumentative. His follow up was very poor. The car was returned dirty on the outside and the back floor was very dirty also. It was my first experienced with Cavender and not a very good one. I would not recommend this dealership when it comes to repairs.

I came into the service department for the first time since purchasing my vehicle. It was for an oil change. I waited for 2.5 hours until I finally went to ask about my vehicle. Then just like that it was done. The explanation I was given was that it was “taken for a car wash and that’s why I didn’t notice it.” Not pleased at all with the time taken and I’d much rather go to many other places for service. This experience was the exact opposite of my experience when I bought the car here.

Literally the best Salesman evaaa.I came in with another leased vehicle that which was over mileage and needed four new tires, and had seven more payments to make. He hooked me up with a very good honest deal. I wanted to lease the cheapest SUV they had. Instead of pressuring me to get a more expensive one, he found a SUV that was perfect for me.Also It has been two weeks since I leased the car and this whole time he has been making sure everything went well and how my military PCS move to California was going and if I needed anything.And shout out to the Salesman Manager who is a Army War Veteran and received a purple heart in Combat. From first contact / introduction to him handing me the keys to my new truck. He absolutely went above and beyond at every opportunity. I wasn’t able to speak with my service guy because he was too busy.My appointment was 7:40am and it took an hour and a half to change the oil in my truck. We both know it doesn’t take more than 20-30 minutes to change the oil in a vehicle.The wait time is not acceptable. I think you are over scheduling. I am sitting and waiting on my truck to go to work and have to wait that long. This situation should be addressed.

Richard Gaitan was my salesman and he was absolutely great. He worked with me every step of the way, got me a little more for my trade-in and made sure every little hiccup was taken care of in a way that would least inconvenience me. I didn’t feel pressured the day I went in to test drive and he helped make sure I had time to think things over thoroughly. I am now the proud owner of a 2021 Acadia! Very happy with all the features it comes with and for a very great price. Lori (I forgot her last name) in finance was great too. To the point and got me the best deal for my warranty. This is why I don’t like to take my trucks to the dealership for oil changes. The only reason I did is because this was the first one and it was free. Should have just gone to my normal spot and paid the money. Got home and checked the oil fill cap and it was off resting on the cowl thank goodness. Oil was 2 quarts low, added the 2 quarts myself and looked underneath and undercarriage was a mess. Lesson learned.Update: service manager reached out and was very understanding and professional. He asked me to give them another chance to make it right.Update again: Took the truck back for the free oil change that was offered for them to “make it right”. Told the service advisor what happened the last time I came, and said I had a free oil change that was offered by the service manager. She kept asking me for a name for who told me I would get a free oil change (like I would know 5 months later) but I assumed when I said service manager I would think there would only be one. I went back to pick the truck up and she had charged me for the oil change anyways. No point in arguing with these people. Done here now. To be fair the oil change and rotation was done well and correctly.

FRIDAY, FEB 26My experience at this dealership has been stressful, frustrating, and exhausting. After purchasing a vehicle in December, I thought that receiving my license plates would be an easy process. It is nearly March and Ive yet to receive my license plates. After calling multiple times and dealing with front desk assistance that offered, frankly, no assistance at all, I was unable to speak to anyone else who could help me. Multiple times I was placed on indefinite holds hoping someone could pick up and help me. When I was finally able to find someone to help me, I was told the dealerships accounting department still needed to place the appropriate paperwork in order. Then, I was told that nothing could be sent until my paper plates were expired. I dont understand how someone at your dealership expected me to drive using expired plates - but this was the response I received. It wasnt until I was stopped by law enforcement and told that the VIN for the newly sent paper plates used the wrong number that I realized this egregious error on your behalf. I dont understand how you can permit this level of incompetency at your dealership. You should know that there are real consequences customers face because of your gross negligence.Monday, March 1STAt this point, I dont know if you guys are doing it on purpose or if this a joke to yall. I finally received what I thought would be MY set of license plates on Saturday. After the emails and calls I did on Friday I thought that receiving my license plates would be an easy process. What was my surprise? I RECEIVED LICENSE PLATES, FOR A DIFFERENT CAR, DIFFERENT YEAR, DIFFERENT PERSON, DIFFERENT COLOR. I cannot believe the level of incompetence and negligence, it is clear to me someone is dropping the ball at the dealership and Im paying for it. I just want to know what I NEED TO DO for you guys to send me the correct plates. Ive sent emails, Ive talked to different people and still I DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT PLATES after 8 weeks of waiting, a set of paper plates for the wrong car and a set of license plates for a different person, different car, different year and different color; again, please tell me WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?.

My parents had bought a new 2021 GMC Sierra and recommended that we also buy from this dealership. We both used Steven Schwing as our sales representative. Steven is such a wonderful, caring sales representative. He was extremely professional and never pushed us into anything we did not feel comfortable with. We had called him because we were indecisive about the vehicle we wanted, he had helped me over the phone come across a used 2020 GMC Sierra. He got the keys right away to make sure the vehicle was reserved for us until we test drove it. We ended up purchasing that vehicle. There were a couple of bumps on the road regarding them to fix some issues with the vehicle, but Steven made sure to get in touch with whoever we needed to talk to. They took care of the issues we were having. Just make sure if you want them to fix anything at all, to get an I OWE YOU. They will gladly provide one to you if you both agree to what needs to be fixed on the vehicle when purchasing. Overall, my parents and I are both are satisfied with this dealership. Update: 4/29 I had a Director of the Service Department contact me and apologized for my inconvenience as well as let me know since my visit they’ve hired 3 new service reps, he offered me a discount in a service that I did need, he verified the part was in and helped make sure I had an appointment to get things fixed and a car to use while it got done. I pleased with these efforts after my review.Service is very slow. Low staffed. Took my car overnight unnecessarily. I went for an oil change had an appointment I showed up early for. Gear shifter needed to be looked at, they held my car overnight without checking if they had the part. So the next day I pick up my car unfinished because the part had to be ordered. There were no loaner vehicles available so it was not convenient. There was also someone being served without wearing a mask. That was extremely uncomfortable.

1. misrepresentation on finance department2. had a recent apt. at the service department as i stood there for about 15 min. there were was three reps. just seating not doing anything and two other there older hispanic men also just standing behind the counter just looking around then they both walked around passed right by me there was one other person that was there before me we kept looking at each other because nobody was waiting on us and they all did see we were there but just sat there until finally i asked one of them if he could help me since nobody here has asked us if they could help us and he responded sure if i can then i informed him that the other person was here before me so he can help me which he did help the other man then there was a young lady there on the far right side and she said she would be with me in just a minute while there was still one other young man still on his cell about ten minutes later the young lady finally finished what she was doing and helped me just saying poor service customers dont come first until they feel like helping us

Took the dealership two hours to repair a leaking tire. After two hours of waiting they reported that the tire wasn’t patchable and had to be replaced. Previous service didn’t reset the oil change reminder and didn’t reset the tpms after doing a rotation. This service, they still didn’t reset the tpms. I will take my business to a different dealer. Will never recommend cavenders to anyone and will highly recommend anyone stay away. Cannot be trusted

Great experience with Arony Munoz in the Sales & Leasing department. I flew in from South Carolina and was looking to purchase a truck in the San Antonio area. Feel extremely confident in my purchase here. He drove the truck to me at a moments notice, no pressure to buy whatsoever. The test drive felt like I was driving around town with a friend. My sales representative Eddie was well experienced and knowledgeable. He was not pushy like most and made my wife and I feel welcomed and comfortable. Eddie was professional keeping us up to date with the purchasing process and the status throughout the process.Our financial representative was professional as well. These yahoo’s had me sit in a room for half a day while we signed paperwork And agreed on a sale price. I walked in with my pre approval but they told me they could get me a better rate, so I agreed. After running my credit through every bank in the world, they came back to me and said that they couldn’t sale me the vehicle because another salesman had just sold it. Like why run my credit 50 times. I’m shocked that Cavender GMC does not have a process in place to prevent this.

After many attempts of trying to reach someone at this dealership FINALLY Joe Barrera reached out with an apology for the lack of response I was receiving. He was super helpful in getting me the 2017 Durango R/T I wanted. He sent me detailed photos and videos of the vehicle I was inquiring about, he actually contacted me on the way to a dodge dealership he was able to stay late until I could arrive to view the vehicle. He had it pulled to the side already on reserve with my name it, as soon as I walked in he was ready for the test drive as was I! This was my first vehicle purchase, he listened to what I wanted to do as far as my trade in and pulling my credit, he let me read every detail in the paperwork, didn’t rush me and explained every step. He responded well to text messages. I was torn between Carvana and actually going to a dealership. I’m super happy and the process was quick and not painful like I feared he didn’t use any sales pressure tactics or make me feel uncomfortable. I’ll refer him and definitely go back to Joe for other vehicle purchases, when needed.

After confirming an appointment to see a used pickup and getting a confirming text as to my arrival time, I receive another text telling me the truck is now no longer available. I live a 100 miles from the Dealership and had a confirmed appointment with Astrid and Richard. I had some sales manager call me and he would interrupt me every time I tried to explain that I am angry for driving 75 of my 100 mile trip to see the truck and then being called off. Not an apology or even a I am sorry but just we do not run our business on confirmed appointments only confirmed deposits or something like.that. I have asked for his director to call me but that has not happened. This place in need of a training class or how to deal with customers and appointments. I would have gladly given them a deposit until I got there if they would have asked for one. This company does not keep their word or inform the customer as to policy, Very disappointing and of course will never conduct business with them in the future. CA Martin Hunt, Texas

SERVICE DEPARTMENT REVIEW:While I did appreciate the daily updates, and the push to get my vehicle done,the initial dialogue was not great. The representative stated my vehicle would not be diagnosed for a minimum of 3-4 days. I was also told I could not get a loaner vehicle until my vehicle was diagnosed AND the repairs were approved. Even if I had not, or the warranty company, approved the repairs I would still have to pay a few hundred dollars for the actual diagnosis. This is not what I expected from a large dealership such as Cavender.When I take my BMW for ANY service that will take more than a few hours, I am offered a loaner vehicle.Regardless of this initial issues, the service department pushed my vehicle to get diagnosed quicker than it originally quotes and the repairs were approved by my warranty company that same day. The repair was done within 24 hours after all this and they also installed a replacement part I purchased that was getting removed anyway. The service advisor was very good at communicating with me daily what was going on and what they were waiting on. Id recommend going here for any issues with your vehicle and I will be back if necessary.

Best dealership I have ever gone to. Shoutout to Obed for being the best salesman! I traded in my 2019 Chevy Cruze and it had minor damage but they still managed to get me a good trade in. I would have never thought of owning a Buick but I am not disappointed in my purchase. From the beginning, Obed was straight up honest with me but also was determined to get me right with the perfect vehicle! The finance department was also amazing. The process went smoothly! First off my wife took truck to put on a drivers side front tire that I purchased because it had on a spare . And asks if they can fix the back drivers side tire because it had a nail . After waiting 2 hrs girl from the front said I don’t want to promise you’ll be out by 4:15 . Because the manager sending them on lunch . Mind you there was two people before her . 3 more people came in 2 hrs after her and received there car before hers . It was only tire change . I was told I didn’t need an appt because it was an in and out process . The worse part is they told my wife our back tire has a gash and we needed to purchase a second tire for 474 when I paid 330 and got a 82 dollar discount because of my rewards online . She asked to just put the spare on the back tire she’ll purchase online . I told her to make sure it’s the right tire because I marked the tire that was in the back trunk that had a gash before changing the spare to the back . Because I know for a fact the back tire only had a nail In it because I inspected it myself. So the guys put the spare on the back and gave me the tire that previously had the gash in the front . How do I know because I marked it . This is what crooks fo and is not right . I’ve been with you’ll since 2017 . Tooken out two cars and recommended family members . This is outrageous. I really wish the Johnny was still there . You’ll need to hire people who would not cheat there customers. Because that is not right . This is the second bad service with you’ll . I don’t even want to talk about the first time . I can really say this is the last vehicle I’m buying from cavender. Since Sept of 2020 it’s been horrible. Let me tell you we’re still riding with out registration stickers . Horrible

Took over 4 1/2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation when I was told it would only take 1 1/2 to 2 hours. When I tried to get a status on the car during the process I could not get a hold of anyone at all for over an hour. Once I picked it up, I was told I would get a complimentary wash on my car and it wasn’t done either. I don’t think I will be returning anymore and will be taking my car to get serviced elsewhere. It’s always something when I get my car serviced here.

The pre-owned certified cars are not certified but cleaned and put in the lot. We purchased a 2020 Corola that had minor accident with paint scrape markings and a scratch on lower fender and the low tire light on. Had to point it out to sales person who had the paint marking removed but failed to fix scratch The tire low light had been corrected by filling low tire. Had to take car to Toyota dealership to fix low light and was told it was a nail which caused slow leak. I do not recommend this dealership. Sales manager is not honest with customers in dealing with trade inDealership only wants sales and profits.We having been waiting for over 40 days for the car registration to come in. Seems like this dealership believes it is a rocket science process just to get a registration. Very POOR customer relations. I will let any of my friends and family NOT to deal with this dealership!!
