Amazing coffee!I had a sledgehammer, that is 4 shots espresso and sweet condensed milk over crushed ice. Well it was incredible, and yes I added about 2 tablespoon half and half and it was perfect! In fact, I got home and went into a deep sleep. My husband said he used the vacuum and fed our noisy dogs and watched a movie all while I was asleep in the same room! The service was wonderful.Yummy! coming back soon.

I got a hazelnut latte (my normal go to anywhere) and it was okay. The espresso wasnt as smooth or chocolatey as l prefer, but l always appreciate trying different espresso. The place was messy - probably because l walked in a little after opening - and the place seems cramped in-person instead of how cozy it appeared to be in photos.

Great Coffee, and very knowledgeable employees! They were able to distinguish between a large selection of roasts, and they brew strong. However, they mixed up my taco order and tried to give my drink to the wrong table, even though there were only 3 people in the store. Good product, fun people to talk to, but somewhat disorganized this morning (may have just been a bad start).

Great Coffee, fantastic Baristas! This is by far my favorite coffee shop in all of San Antonio! All of the baristas are extremely helpful and cater to your needs if you have any allergies or any other issues! Ive never had a bad cup of coffee from any of the baristas! Prices are fantastic and the seating is comfortable! The artwork they have on the walls is amazing too! I believe its all drawn by one of their Baristas too! I love supporting local shops like this one! I also love recommending this coffee shop to all my friends who are coffee lovers!

Loved this little place in downtown San Antonio. It is a walk up, order, find a seat casual place with indoor and outdoor tables. Loved the ambience and the food. The staff were very friendly and we had a great breakfast/lunch here. My mom and sister had a coffee and bagels while I had a club sandwich which was too big to finish. We also tried one of the sweet baked goods.

Stopped by this business which is in a strip shopping center about 1 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Parking could be a problem if it was busy. Inside was rather small with two people tables aligning one wall. About 10 people were inside. Its small but rather cozy. They roast their own coffee beans. I ordered a large 16 oz decaf Americano. It was served in a real cup and saucer for $2.95 plus tax. It was weak with no taste. After talking to the barista I was informed that they serve the regular and the large cup of coffee with the same amount of espresso thus the weakness and rather blah taste on the larger cup. Supposedly, the larger cup would accommodate more cream if the customer wanted it according to the barista. And the flavor taste of the larger cup? Duh??? The barista added more expresso after hearing of my displeasure. I was also surprised to learn that this business has been here for 15 years. Nothing to brag on at this place. Theres other places for a better cup of java.

So, the atmosphere is very enjoyable but do not go with more than 3 people at a time. My wife and I enjoyed the fresh roasted, ground and brewed coffee. I got the mocha cappuccino which they use chocolate pieces not a powder and it really added to the flavor and it was very delicious, definitely recommended, but I did not enjoy the muffin and from what I understand comes from a bakery so not so much a hit. My wife enjoyed her hazelnut latte but after she tried my cappuccino she wished she had ordered the same. A recommended spot for the area but would not drive across town.

I was greeted by two friendly baristas the second I walked into the coffee shop! They were both patient with me as I was deliberating back & forth about what drink I should order. I ended up ordering an iced latte with a splash of condensed milk and it was absolutely delicious. The coffee shop is small & quiet but it’s a good place to study and get some work done

Loved chatting with the employee who helped me! He was very responsive to all of my coffee-related questions. In short, Mildfire is one of the few local coffee shops that actually roasts their own beans, and their roast is amazing. Im pretty picky about my coffee, but what I got here hit the spot. I ended up taking a bag home! I highly recommend it!

Good quality coffee, and Im happy any time I order just black coffee. However, there is no consistency in what I get when I order a more expensive drink - the Aztec mocha. When one barista makes it, it is the best freaking coffee drink in the world, but anytime he is not there, I get a noticeably worse beverage (at varying degrees of horribly sweet/milky). Also, dont go here if you are in a hurry.

I consider myself to be knowledgeable about coffee. I also usually buy my beans from Starbucks. I do this because even though the beans were probably roasted a few months before my purchase, the vacuum seal keeps them fresh for quite a while, so long as they arent ground. That said, I think Im going to be buying my beans from Wildfire from now on for several reasons:The first is the benefit of knowing exactly where your beans came from and when they were roasted. My visit to Wildfire produced beans that were roasted on that very day.The second, the beans are cheaper than what I normally get at Starbucks, which confuses me, but Im not going to complain. You also the benefit of supporting local business and not giant corporations, if thats your thing.Theres no doubt that these folks know their coffee. They even brew it well, too, with my black coffee boasting a wonderful aroma and full flavor that you only get by using the recommended two tablespoons of grounds per six ounces of coffee. The beans may be only moderately better than what you may find at Starbucks, but the coffee is leaps and bounds over the chain. The desserts look a hell of a lot better, too.

Love, love, love this local coffee house! They serve a spiced latte called the Azteca Latte. My husband loves this so much that he had me to find a recipe for the spice mix so that we can make the lattes at home. They also have a list of other unique coffee and tea drinks to try.Mildfire is next door to Oak Haven massage. Since I finally got the husband to get a massage, he had to have the reward of an Azteca Latte. This coffee shop is a comfy place to meet, drink coffee, or read. I adore the little tables with mosaic tops. At the back of the shop, there is a little alcove with comfy seating and a supply of board games. There, if you arrive at the right time, you can watch through a window as an employee grinds bags full of coffee beans in a huge coffee grinder. Its interesting to watch, and smells heavenly.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, clean store. Unfortunately, I did not like their coffee. I am not a coffee snob by any means but I do prefer it black. I can respect that they roast their own coffee beans, but unfortunately my coffee tasted burnt - even for a dark roast. I will try again another day, but I have to lower my rating since theyre a coffee shop with bad unadulterated coffee. Maybe go for a latte.

I have never been here before so I was looking forward to it. I ordered a hot butter latte and a muffin. The girl at the front was nice and the items are pretty good. My only thing I didn’t like was that the place is small as it is and the ppl working used up two tables to sit and be on their phone taking up the tables for patrons. The man wasn’t to friendly. They were also talking about abortion and that made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Will never buy coffee or breakfast related items in San Antonio from anywhere else!!! While driving to Houston right after hurricane Harvey hit, the owners took me in, treated me to breakfast and helped gather donations for me to take back to Houston for those displaced by major flooding. Their dog cuddled up next to my legs that first terrifying night while I awaited the news of whether or not my wife, 2 and half year old daughter and 1 year-old daughter were going to be flooded. Fortunately, everyone turned out to be ok. These business owners truly demonstrate what love and compassion looks like for their fellow Texans and I will forever be indebted for that kindness. Thank you and to anyone reading this, youll not only become a customer but embraced by this caring community the owners have helped to establish.

This coffee shop makes, by far, the best chai latte in San Antonio. It is beautifully flavorful and pleasurable to drink in comparison to other competitors, whose chai lattes are anything but flavorful. In addition to fantastic chai, espresso, coffee, and breakfast tacos, the baristas are exceptional. One would be remiss, not only to not to get their cup of caffeine but also to not strike up a conversation with the baristas. Although the Google machine makes this impossible, Mildfire deserves a 7 out of 5 stars. or greater.
