The study space is a good spot to take the laptop to study do some work while enjoying a coffee or a drink. The feed is decent, could be better could be worse. Same could be said for the service. But if you’re looking for a chill place to put some headphones on and do some work, the study space is for you.

The Study is an amazing place to go not only to watch the game, but to also get some work done. The staff is wonderful, the food is an absolute 10/10, the bathrooms are clean every time I go. Worth every dime.. definitely will be returning.

I love this spot! They really go out and beyond to take care of you! The smell of the coffee as soon as you walk in all the amazing deserts which by they are the best hands down! This is a cozy little place to enjoy a great cup of coffee and some fresh squeezed juice. Bring your laptop and get some work done, meet an old friend or bring a book and read. Stay late and have some drinks too! The service is friendly and the bathroom is clean.

I absolutely love The Study Space! Any given day the environment is cozy, the food is impeccable, and just gives that at home feeling. Able to grab a drink, read and study or watch my Eagles! The staff are the best! I frequent at least twice a week!

This place has been amazing in every way. The owner, the staff and the food. you have the best of both worlds here. Coffee and treats, which are made in house by the way. And on the other side, the a bar with the games on, Great selection of beer. Oh and did I mention the food?

Wendi and Juan do a great job running this place and controlling the atmosphere. Juan made me feel very welcome and genuinely invested his time talking with me. Good beer selection too. Didn’t try the coffee.

The Study Space Rocks! Its such a great concept, of a coffee shop that goes late into the evening to match a busy students schedule, plus a full service restaurant and bar for tasty food and adult beverages. The coffee side has an amazing array of coffee drinks served by expert baristas, Plus a bakery with an ever-changing mix of gourmet cupcakes and pastries at student-friendly prices. And even custom full-size cakes. The family-run Study Space also has fun theme nights, like movie nights, trivia nights and Bachelor/Bachelorette viewing party nights. Great staff like Aussie Alanah and Amanda always make you feel welcome, keep you fed and happy! Good on ya mates! Highly recommended for studying or a good night out!

The study is an amazing estsblishment. The owner and staff made it very welcoming. The food selection and alchohol selection is great. I love that on Sundays we can watch the games indoors or on the patio.

Amanda is doing so great. She is such a great customer service worker and she makes me want to spend all my money on how fast she is with getting my drinks for me. I forget that I need to go home because she is so on top and not letting my drink empty. She asks me if I want another drink when I have about one last sip left and how can you say no? So yes I recommend this bar to anyone who wants great customer service and their cup NEVER EMPTY. She also works happy hour do no matter how busy she is on top of her shiz. The study space is a very hip and chill spot to grab a drink, sit with your laptop and focus on some homework while drinking a house cocktail.While I was a not impressed by their drink menu or house cocktails, they were Farley priced and served up quickly.What I would recommend for this establishment is to have quicker service, soft music in the background, and sun shades.

My favorite spot! Great fresh squeezed juices, tons of beer choices, the bartenders make great cocktails and all of them are super friendly. They have great daily lunch specials and the food is DOPE!!! 🤤 also they are always having some kind of creative event for guests to enjoy. I absolutely LOVE this place!! The Study Space is the most unique cafe I have been to; just like batman who is Bruce Wayne by day and the Dark Knight at night, this place is a coffee shop by day to an ear-buzzing bar/night club by night with their own DJ. The baristas/waiters/waitresses/bartenders were all really friendly. I have not tried their food, but their iced coffee was ok, not the best but then again not the worst. I appreciate there is a bar/coffee shop that allows you to come late at night (ie 9 PM +) to study and it doesn’t feel weird or bizarre because you’ll see some other people doing the same thing. If you have to get something done at night and you’re worried about falling asleep if you study at home, this is the place you want to finish your work.

This has been me and my friends go to study spot for the past 4 months of nursing school. They have great coffee (iced vanilla latte is our fave) and tasty food, which were constantly ordering. Its a family run small business and you can definitely see all their hard work. Great place overall!

This place is so spacious! You can stay all morning and all night without moving from your seat. The food and drinks are incredible! The way it’s set up isn’t traditional, you have to go to the bartender or cafe to order but I didn’t mind. Will be back!!

This place has some of the best most amazing food! You can definitely tell they have a chef in their kitchen creating these wonderful dishes. The one draw back of this fantastic eatery is the staff. Ive gone now 3 times for their food and each time Im met with confused and slow staff that dont really know what to do. My friend and I arrived around 2pm on a Tuesday during their brunch, and the staff who was standing at the coffee bar informed us that we could take a seat, scan the menu on the table, and that she would be right back to take our order. My friend and I were the only people ordering food while everybody else sat around drinking coffee. The staff member who had seated us, took 20 minutes to take our drink order and then another 30 minutes to take our food order. Our food came out 30 minutes after that. In total, my girl friend and I were at the Study Space for 2 hours just trying to eat, when our lunch breaks had been over for an hour.We had also gone to the Study Space twice after that for the night time atmosphere and the drinks. We again were met with slow staff that took 20 minutes to take our drink orders and another 20minutes to bring them to our table. We had ordered an appetizer as well, but the bartender had forgot to put that food order in with our drink orders and had informed us that by the time he had remembered and tried to input the food order, the kitchen had just closed.This place has amazing potential to be a one stop place for great food and great drinks, unfortunately the staff is under trained and slow to assist those not sitting directly at the bar or ordering directly from the coffee bar.New or better trained staff and bartenders and this place would be a 10/10 5 STARS!

Does anyone even work here?? My friend and I visited this place for the first time last Thursday and the place was dead empty. No workers, no customers, but the door was surprisingly open and the sign that read open was on. So my friend and I sat at the bar wondering if anybody would see us and greet us. Nothing. We waited about 5 minutes then knocked on the kitchen door, hoping somebody would attend to us or tell us theyre closed. The bartender came out, apologized, and asked us for our orders. We were there to order food so we did, along with two waters. The bartender put in our food orders then returned to the kitchen (we thought to get our waters), leaving us alone at the bar in an empty restaurant....We waited 10 minutes for our waters or the bartender to come back out, but no dice. after 15mins my friend and I just got up and left. We will not be returning.

Possibly the best cupcake in the city (and I dont say that lightly!) Also super great hangout spot with friendly service, good vibes, and its clean! Definitely go try it.

Bachelor night is the best, it feels so homey like Wendy (the owner) is just having girls over for a movie night. She is so hospitable and nice - I want to be her friend and have sleepovers. Not what I expected but had good/fun vibes. I went during a Sunday afternoon and it had a steady crowd. Music can be kind of loud so maybe not the best place to study unless you jive with that. Decent coffee house prices. Didnt check out the bar side which is separated from the coffee side by a half wall. There is also a fenced-in patio which looked nice. Bathrooms are clean and staff were pleasant. Overall, nice place.

This place has THE BEST FOOD…..if you ever get it. The service here is the WORST! No one greets you when you walk in, nobody tells you how to order or where to sit. My friend and I walked up to the bar since the bartender seemed to be the only worker at the time, to order food. She was a very nice blonde girl, who seemed friendly, but decided to take shots with other patrons before greeting my friend and I at the bar.We each ordered burgers, fries and a beer. We got our beers almost immediately but were left waiting for our food for over an hour! We asked after about 30 mins where our food was or why it was taking so long since the restaurant was empty except for me and my friend and the other three bar patrons, and were told that the kitchen was “backed up”. How could it be “backed up” with nobody else ordering food except us!? We waited another 30 mins and then inquired about our food again. This time the bartender apologized and told us that she had accidentally forgotten to ring in our food! So we had been waiting at the bar for over an hour for nothing!! We we’re so mad, my friend and I just got up and left!!My friend and I had been here once before on a Sunday afternoon and while the service was still bad and it had still taken us a good hour to get our food, at least the food was delicious.This place has no staff because it has no customers, and it has no customers because of the awful service and lack of staff!!This place had the potential to be an amazing restaurant that served amazing food, but the poor staffing and lack of good service has killed that potential. I hope that one day the service can be improved, but until then, we will not be returning.

The atmosphere is fun and food and drinks are great. The entire staff is super nice and helpful. Jay was our bartender and he was amazing! Very friendly fella and seems to love what he does. One of the owners even chatted with us and she was super nice. We love this place and have had great experiences every time we have been. We will definitely be back!

I love the study space! I have nothing but positive things to say about the environment and the staff. I come here all the time to study and hang out with my friends. Ive been coming here everyday for the last couple of months to study, so the staff basically knows me by name now. The staff here are so kind and always make me laugh. :)

WORST SERVICE EVER. I came in with my friend on a Saturday evening hoping to get drinks. There were only a few people at the bar and in the restaurant so we figured wed be served quickly....that was a horrible assumption. The blonde bartender was only tending to a select few of the people at the bar, and took 10 mins to get me and my friends drink order. Then, instead of making our drinks, she stepped off to the side, to text on her phone!! We watched and waited for her to begin making our drinks, but after about 10 mins we decided to leave and look for drinks elsewhere.

Where do I begin?The Study Space was a prayer answered, especially in the UTSA area, as it is the only place in the area where you can walk in at 8 AM and get coffee(s) to drink while studying, and then order a beer to treat yourself when youve gotten what youve needed to get finished. A coffee shop and bar combo has been a wish granted, and they couldnt have picked a better place to open!Dario Arellanos pastries, which also come vegan, are absolutely breath taking to look at and equally delicious. My favorite thing to order is to pair one of the pastries (my favorite is the fruit tart!) with an iced oat nutty professor latte. The baristas are always helpful and happy to help you whenever you dont know what you want.The best part about the Study Space? The bar. In my 25 years of living, there was no restaurant I had ever felt cool enough to drink at the bar at until I came here. Every time Ive come into the restaurant, Jyron (the bartender) has always made me feel like I was walking into a friends house. He remembers my drink order (AEC Blood Orange with Tajin + Chamoy rim!), he makes an effort to know me and other customers sitting at the bar, and he makes someone with severe social anxiety (like yours truly) feel at ease. If you plan on coming here for drinks, make sure Jyron (also goes by Jay) is your bartender!! You wont regret it!Between the large amount of vegan options, the great selection of beer on tap, the wonderful staff, and the variety of coffee options, you will love the Study Space!

Walking into this establishment is like walking into a college commons, but with a well stocked coffee, juice, and pastry bar as well as a full bar with an outstanding kitchen putting forth breakfast, brunch, and snack foods. The service is beyond reproach.This is the place to go to when you want to have great food and drinks in a casual and relaxing environment.If you have not experienced this establishment, you have done your palate a gross disservice.

I usually come here for brunch on Sundays & it’s always a great time. The food is amazing & the overall atmosphere is very fun. Today I was disappointed when I walked in there was no Dj. The place was too quiet and didn’t really feel like brunch vibes. This is almost always my first stop for “Sunday Funday” however I may need to find a new spot.

Nice place to hang out with the kids outside patio has games for the family, owner is not so friendly or welcoming, My server(Asian guy in the front cafe) was very nice, tryed his best to double work in the front and patio. We are a family of 6 and enjoyed the wingless wings made out of cauliflower we tryed the Asian sauce. The house salad was not good, the cauliflower pizza and regular pizza crust was soggy, we tryed both, beet juice was really fresh.Although we had an okay experience, I will probably give them another chance, they ran out of a lot of stuff like vegan cheese, vegan meatloaf and apples and kale for juicing, there excuse was they had a private event and food ran out, that is understandable, but they have a lot they need to work on, for example the music inside is like a bar when h have students trying to study hard. Wish the owner was pleasant to meet, I would have brought her more customers.

I love coming here to study but the music gets way too loud during the weekends and in the evenings during the week. Unfortunately, since I work during the week these are my prime study times. I’m just confused about why spot called the study place located down the street from a university is playing music that loud. I wish this could be my go to but I can’t concentrate in that kind of environment.

I love coming here! Great staff and great drinks. I come here often to work on school, the unique environment is nice! However, in the mornings the music tends to be reallyy loud and puts more focus on the bar aspect with less emphasis on the coffee shop/study vibe.

It’s too bad that I had to give one star, This is definitely the right place if you like Ice Cold Nachos fresh out of the kitchen. You would have thought that they would have compensated for the meal but no we still paid full price even while management sat there and knew about it. Don’t waist your time here unless you just want to use the WiFi.

I travel a lot with my job and always make it a point to visit independently owns restaurants and coffee shops wherever I go, and I’m thrilled this place is in my hometown! Since they’ve opened I’ve tried their hot latte- excellent, iced mocha- excellent, chicken biscuit sandwich- excellent, breakfast sandwich (with bacon)- excellent, and a few of their pastries- all homemade and delicious! They have other items on their menu besides breakfast, which I intent to try. They also have a bar with yummy craft beer. I’m so glad this place has arrived in my neighborhood. I’ve already become a regular. 😁

Okay I love the atmosphere and the food and drinks are great, but y’all really need to figure out some sort of system for getting guests their orders. I’ve often had to wait 15+ minutes just for a latte and baristas and waiters are always running around with orders looking for the correct table. I’ve seen one guy with a sandwich in his hand walking around for like 10 minutes. Do better with service and efficiency please!!

Really nice place. The burger might be the best burger Ive had in a long time. Fries were excellent. Customer service was great. The only thing that might turn people off is the semi-high prices, but the food and atmosphere are well worth it.

It’s been a while since I’ve been but the experience i had was so on point, and memorable I had to write a review! The atmosphere of this place is great! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly baristas who did a great job of making you feel welcomed with a smile. Although I went in for drinks with my friends, Jyron (Jay) made sure my friends and I had a great time with excellent service, and of course, amazing drinks! This was beyond the best service AND entertainment I had from a bartender in a VERY long time! This definitely will be one of my favorite go-to spots, 10/10 and I highly recommend going!

Not really sure why a place literally called The Study Space has a super loud DJ going in the middle of the day when people are trying to study lol. I know a lot of the responses to similar reviews say that the blaringly loud music is just 10-4pm on the weekends, but that’s just not true. I stayed until 5:30 in hopes that the volume would at least lower to the point where I could talk to my friend without yelling but it never happened. Literally so loud the mediocre coffee was shaking in the glasses. I saw probably 5-6 people sit down, try to study, then promptly give up and leave in the hour I was there. Also they have super loud music starting at 6 sometimes, so not sure when the studying is supposed to happen. You can’t even hear yourself think in there.

I adore this place. When school is in session you can most often find me here kicking a locally crafted beer back or sipping on a fantastic moscow mule paired with their awesome food. The bartender Alex always remembers my name and helps me pick out a new beer to try. One time, on a particularly rough day where I had forgone a drink, the bartender Jay dropped me off a red bull to held with the studying. All the staff have such friendly demeanors and I wouldn’t ever study anywhere else! Plus, I love their Bachelor/ette nights when I can study and watch my favorite show all at once! A bar/coffee shop was once my dream kinda place, and the Study Space brought it to life.

For a place that is called the study space they blast club music at 9am on a Sunday at full volume. They also dont actually enforce social distancing, there is only one entrance/exit and its a 3ft wide hallway and the tables arent separated or wiped down before you sit. I watched the people making my food not only not wear masks properly over their noses, but theyre all packed in a space that is impossible for them to social distance. Not their fault, they shouldnt be put in that situation as employees.

My go to juices are the Kale Me Now and Whats Up Doc. My go to food items are the Loaded Hasbrowns and the Two Eggs Your Way.Everything is fresh, you wont be disappointed...

Amazing place to relax, have some great food, pastries, pressed juice, coffee and even a full bar! Im meat and dairy free so I got the avocado toast without the feta cheese. My husband got the mushroom swiss burger with the Beyond patty and a side of tots. The tots are seasoned, you dont need any dipping sauce! The seating and space is well thought out and due to covid there is enough space between table to feel and be safe. Party Chef Dario made a special vegan birthday cake for my husband, we appreciate it so much! Cant wait to come back!

Amazing, five out of five stars. Their chicken fried steak is to die for! And the servers are extremely nice and ccustomised my coffee based on my taste. Timely and following the cdc guidelines. Will definitely be back again.

This place is awesome, they have all kinds of options, breakfast-lunch-dinner-cocktails, its in a great area right down the street from UTSA, La Cantera, Elian, and the IH10-1604 corridor. The food is outstanding, the staff is extraordinary, and the atmosphere is super chill. One of my favorite places to grab a drink or bite to eat, they have a great patio, the next time you are in the area check out them out you will not be disappointed. Talk to Jay at the bar and hell get you taken care of, try the wings or one of their burgers or sandwiches, you will probably see me here as in a regular at least 2-3 times a week! See you there!

As a vegan, I cant recommend this place. Their tofu club is literally a slab of flavorless tofu between bread and their meatloaf sandwich taste like a combination between bitterness and smoke so it was terrible as well. Considering how expensive it was, I was seriously disappointed and due to this experience, will not be coming back.
