Awesome service, fast delivery and great prices

I have been doing some improvements around my place for a while now and I have to give big props to the guy that loads my truck. I believe his name is George but I’m not 100% sure. He is always careful and very quick to get me loaded and in my way with a wave and a smile. This is a great company. Thanks for all the help.

I went there to get something to help my poor lawn after all the snow. The staff was very helpful and gave options on what would work, and told me how to use the products (watering it in, so it didnt burn the lawn). I got half a yard the manure mix and it was $22. It almost filled up the bed of the truck. I will return when Im ready to fill up my garden beds and buy mulch. 👍

I bought 3 yards of topsoil over three trips from Buckhorn this weekend. The soil was great quality, the service was awesome and the price was good. They were very busy, but were prompt to take care of me and other customers.

We love going to Buckhorn for all our flagstone and rock needs. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Two particular young men (wish I had gotten their names) helped us load huge flagstone pieces into our vehicle on a Saturday. Both guys had a great attitude, and were happy to help us even though it was obvious it had been a long, hard, hot, busy day for them both. Thanks gentlemen! Wish all young kids knew how to work like yall 👍

Every time I go to Buckhorn Soil & Stone, they always are busy but they have fast and friendly customer service. It always feels good being welcomed and knowing you are getting your $ worth when it comes to big projects. Another thing is that they always have great attitude and are knowledgeable when it comes to choosing certain types of things. 10/10 recommended. Started my landscape business a month ago and it seems that I’m there twice a day to order or show my clients the variety of landscaping materials offered. The office staff are friendly and informative and the guys the run the yard are courteous when loading the orders. Definitely the only source I’d do business with all my landscaping company needs.

Stopped by to pick up chop block to finish a small landscaping project. Prices were great, the pallets of stone all appeared to be good quality and the customer service was top notch.

Ordered 6 yards of soil a week in advance of laying down sod. They gave a military discount and werent bad to order from. Then the day before delivery they called to cancel. We had an hour of light mist from 9am to 10am. This doesnt make mud. They have the rest of the day and the evening for things to dry out. The worst is, I stated they should have called beforehand and let me know about this and they stated they did. No call or voicemail. Lies. This way I could have had the soil delivered yesterday and simply cover it with a tarp. Now I have sod and 6 men on Saturday to lay down sod without any dirt. I do not recommend going to a place who will leave you high and dry like this. No remorse or creative solutions on their end. Super upsetting.

NO REFUNDS!!! Prices seemed reasonable, but after you see it’s not much that you get then the prices aren’t very reasonable at all. I complained that a young man had shaken off the top of the small bucket tractor to llevel. The lady told me that the owner tells them to do it. Well that 1/2 yard load of enriched topsoil took me three full wheel barrels to unload off the truck when a 1/2 yard usually takes me a minimum of 6 wheel barrels half the material for that price wasn’t very nice or worth it. We immediately noticed the difference when the load didn’t even weight down the truck like it usually did. We won’t be going there again.

We ordered the compost mix. Which stated it consisted of SCREENED Top soil, Alamo gro compost, and orange sand. We were excited because the mix sounded really nice and ordering it was easy. When it was delivered we received a whole of bunch of rocks, pebbles, CLUMPS of clay dirt. We were expecting a better quality, but received dirt that we could have dug up in our own backyard. Very disappointed.

Usually have no issues here, go in pay for materials get materials. This time the person was having an issue with the credit card machine. After 10 minutes of trying the card she was able to get it processed. One month later I get my CC statement and see I was double charged. No problem, Ill call Buckhorn and have them correct the issue. Or so I thought!! Called and was told after a brief hold that there was nothing they could do as on their end they only charged once. So I asked the Buckhorn representative to call their credit card merchant processor to get the charge corrected to which they replied they would not do. I was then told to just dispute it with my CC company. So now that Ive done my part and called my bank, spent 15 minutes on the phone with them, I get to wait 45-90 days for them to resolve something Buckhorn could have resolved with a five minute phone call. Buckhorn has never had overly friendly people, more a mater of fact group of individuals over there, but i expected better customer service with an issue like this. I guess next time Ill be sure to pay cash and pay it to another materials supply company, god knows there are plenty of them around here. See photo.

One of your drivers was hauling a truckload of stone and almost caused a pile up trying to merge onto I-10 because he wasnt paying attention to where he was going, Or he just didnt use his blinker until last minute.I called you guys to let you know and instead of taking an interest, you guys hung up on me.Stop giving lethal responsibility to alcoholics.

First time there and I was happy with the service. They are all friendly, and as i gave them the square footage of a garden I was building, they pretty much knew the amount of soil I needed and bought it for a great price compare to buying multiple bags at a store for way more than what I paid here. I definitely recommend them, and will continue to come here for future projects.

Amazing Place. They won’t price match, but service is exceptional. 60$ local Delivery, and Loaders are very helpful.

“Garden Soil” was just top soil with a little bit of compost mixed in and EXTREMELY hydrophobic.“Organic Manure Compost” was delivered VERY hot and resembles shredded bark.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL ..... gave them the measurement of my backyard to give me the right amount i need of soil they sent me half of what i needed and when i called them to see if they can work with me on sending me more soil without charging me for the delivery fee THEY JUST REFUSED TO OFFER ANY HELP.STAY AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE.

I was looking for a soil & compost mixture with good drainage for my vegetable gardening. I purchased a Cubic Yard upon their recommendation. I could honestly get an identical soil from my ground, which has extremely clay like texture. I figure I would call them or go down there to speak with a manager to make this right; unfortunately, their receipt indicates that all sales are final and they do not care for the quality or stand behind the product they sell. Although they are conveniently located, I recommend that you look around for another business that actually stands behind the product they sell.

The courtesy call they say they will give prior to arrival is NEVER given. They just drop off materials wherever they please. That to me is unacceptable. Gonna look elsewhere.

Didnt know they were here! Everyone referred me to Keller Building Materials in east San Antonio. It was a drive and their prices are more expensive than Buckhorn. I have been to Buckhorn and will keep going there for all of my landscaping/gardening needs now! Oh, and I love the discounts that TxFox pointed out.

This place is a waste of time! I was looking for 21 ft of dry stack and found a 1/2 pallet in the size needed. When I tried to purchase the office girl wouldnt sell to me because they wanted to sell the whole 1/2 pallet. Found what I needed from Garza Masonry in boerne. Way better service and worth the drive! Stupid of buckhorn to refuse a sale - hope it rots on your lot!

Terrible customer service! The employees could care less about public sales. They were laughing and chating it up with landscape crews and ignoring my husband and myself as we stood at the counter for almost 20 minutes. When the lady behind the counter finally acknowledged us she was clearly in a hurry to get rid of us, and the man behind the desk in his office (a manager of some sort) to the right of the counter had no interest in what was going on in the front office. I dont recommend this business and will make it a point to never spend my money here.
