I always love coming here. Its an experience just to see the store. They have an amazing selection of cheese, wine, fresh meats, whole bean coffee and much more! They have a salad bar, prepared meals, soups. Fresh bread daily!!Their beer section is amazing, you could spend plenty of time just looking at all the beer they carry.

Went here for the first time and loved it, everything was either easy to find or the employees knew exactly where the item is unlike other places. There was an wide variety of items there and I will definitely shop here again

Very nice gourmet place, with excellent products, not that cheap, but worth the price here in the US. We had delicious meals to go there. Surprisingly, fish was VERY well cooked, moist and tender. I would love to have such a supermarket close to where I live. The variety of worldwide groceries is just amazing (and I dont use frequently superlatives). Such a change with the HEB next to my hotel, knowing its the same brand.

The Central Market in San Antonio is a beautiful store. The building used to be an regular HEB. If you are like most shoppers you are first greeted with fresh produce nested on towers of shaved ice. After you wind your way through an unmatched selection of colorful fruits and vegetables you will arrive in the meat department. Then the regular grocery area and wine. Followed by the bakery and deli areas. If you run across one of the Central Markets, stop for shopping experience you wont forget

Wow. This place is amazing. If they dont have it then you dont need it. Best place to choose from multiple selections of almost everything. Need one in Corpus Christi.

I give a 3 instead of 4 because it’s not like Wegman’s but pretty close! It might have best cheese assortment ever. A really top notch experience for out of towner’s like me - located near /in Alamo Hills.

Wow what a place. If you want real food with taste and not the same old dull TV dinners you have to shop here. Plan on spending some time because the choices are endless.

Omg.... thought CM in Austin were good. San Antonio s has them beat hands down. Easy to transverse, everything easy to find. And of course great quality.

Top notch grocer with a wonderful selection. HEBs more luxurious brother really shines if youre looking to add real flavor to your meals. The deli is extensive, the olive oils are plentiful, the pasta are from Italy, and the dairy selection extends to so much more than basic milk and eggs. Dont be intimidated thinking the store is too expensive. The fruits and veggies are comparably priced with HEB, except you get a bigger selection here. And if you love beer, Central Market has a shockingly excellent selection from many micro brews.

Love this place! Has to be my #1 spot for fresh and hard to find packaged food. I stop by probably every other day for sooomething... 😄 muffins for breakfast, ready made dinners and of course, great fresh lunch options for work! Oh and my everyday favorite perfumed oil, Amber! 🤍

I love Central Market. While this location isn’t as large as the Galleria Location in Houston it’s incredibly well stocked with a large variety of options. When there’s something I need that I know the average HEB won’t have I can typically count on Central Market as was the case. The 25 minute drive being well worth it. Phenomenal fresh produce, large assortment of coffees and teas, the seafood section is nice (admittedly Costcos seafood does look fresher) and great assortment from the butcher and delicatessen.

This place has everything!!! Wine, fresh meats, fresh seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese, coffee, a bakery! There is something for everyone! Set aside some time to stay awhile, you will enjoy your shopping experience.

Great meat and fish selection, and the prepared foods sure simplify things. Cheese, olive bar, wine selection...also outstanding.

I love this Central Market, their shelves are always stocked with premium quality products. Produce, meats, cheese all are great! I especially love their bakery, the best cakes are made here (especially the Tres Leches which is my wifes favorite, which I purchased for her Bday). Staff is friendly and welcoming. I live about 15 miles away and I dont mind driving here when I need quality stuff for my cooking and pantry. They have an amazing beer selection and their Deli is just as great!

For me, I absolutely love everything central market sells and is about. Their sandwiches are the best, and I love some of the snack selections they have. The one thing that is slightly off putting for me is how angry some of the staff seem to be at you for asking a question or like in the sandwiches section how angry they are when I order something. I work in the service industry, so I get that sometimes your just having a bad day, or you want to get something done, but this has happened multiple times over a couple months. Still would recommend this place to anyone though.

Good produce but very overpriced compared to other HEB stores in the city.Its seems like quite a few things in the store are marked up twice what the other stores have for for the same products.Not enough parking spaces either.

Beautiful store with incredibly delicious food. The produce department is impeccable, Seafood and meat market are of the the highest quality, in my opinion the best quality chicken in San Antonio. Excellent wine department, absolutely unbeatable bakery, gorgeous floral department and scrumptious deli department. A weekly must for all of your grocery needs.

Beautiful store. Very close to my house. Fresh produce, great selection of wines, deserts, cheeses, and delicious, prepared foods you will not find anywhere else. Employees are very nice and the store is well kept. Hopefully they will begin selling the HEB Keto Tortillas soon.

I like it but I think they got some new bakers last year or so. Guys, you gotta push the air out of the dough before putting it in the oven. The last 30 loaves we bought all have huge air bubbles

Often people want a huge amount of food to eat, not realizing a small amount is perfect.I plan to come back every few weeks. I dont need a lot. This HEB is so awesome! Huge selection of fresh fruits & veggies. Then theres this central area that has so many different types of warm foods, prepared foods that can be warmed up in the oven or microwave & some that can be warmed either way! And OMG the nuts & candy section!!! Thats why it is known as the Gucci-B.

Amazing! It was my first time here! ALL OF THE PRODUCE SECTION is ORGANIC, my friends!The bakery section is budding with a host of freshly handmade rustic variety delicious crusty, and soft breads, fresh and aromatic!The large variety of patisserie will topple your senses!Beautiful to look at and delectable to the taste buds!There is w wall about half a football stadium, full of coffee beans to choose from to grind to your liking...did I mention the deli area, mega cheese center...the meat counter that had steaks that would rival any fancy steakhouse!Guys, youve got to see this place, but prepare to be wowed and spend ample time looking around!!

The Central Market offers high quality fruit, vegetables and other fresh grocery store foods. Central Market also has chef cooked hot meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is the best grocery store in San Antonio.

Very snooty people in the wareroom. I deliver there as a vendor and just dont understand the snootiness of the people that work there just because its a central market. WHATEVER.

I love this store. Great produce, meat, seafood, and deli. Large wine and craft beer selection. The bakery has a wide variety of fresh bread and beautiful cakes.

Dont get me wrong this store is very nice with a large selection of unique specialty items for those fancy dinner parties. Little bit pricier than your everyday HEB. I definitely enjoy coming here on occasion but its not someplace I would shop on the regular. Thats the only reason I have it 3 stars.

I enjoy central market for the experience. The fruit and veggie side offer organic and non organic fresh produce, a very good variety and very nice display. Meat section, as well as fish and cheese, have a great selection and of the items change weekly so there is always something new. Good offers, but overall on the expensive side. This is not a place where you can just grab and go, its very dynamic and full of surprises!

I love food... HEB Central Market early on Saturday morning when everyones sleeping in is something like a heaven on Earth for me. Most other times it is a bit crowded (though with good reason!) If you go just before a holiday, try not to be in a hurry. It WILL be excessively crowded. When I go... I never stick to the list. 98% of the time the produce is fresh/high quality. Theres been ONE visit over the course of the last... 20 years... That there were a couple less-than-fresh items out. I got someone a Anthonys chocolate mousse cake for their birthday & that person said it was possibly (probably) the best cake theyd ever had... Would recommend.

They have a nice selection of more niche brands and I love their produce. However, they’ve seemed to have developed a fruit fly problem at the store and every time I try and buy stone fruit or berries they’re swarming with fruit flies. A few have come home with me and set up shop in my house too.

Was out of town for awhile on business. Came back and purchased different ready meals from their hot and cold deli area.Always would buy the soup for family.This time the soup was so spicy that it burned my family member mouth and throat.CENTRAL MARKET SINCE WHEN DO YOU ADD HOT SAUCE OR CHILI IN THE SOUP!!!A HEADS UP BY THE SOUPS, so everyone will know and not buy it. I took a class here, what a beautiful store! The prepared food section looked amazing I wish they had a store in New Braunfels as the class was awesome!!! I will go back for more classes for sure keep doing what you are doing - IT WORKS!

I am visiting from out of town. This is one of the better grocery stores I have shopped at. The difference that sets this place to the next level is the absurd variety of quality items. Wine, fresh produce, meat and cheese are all bountiful. Excellent premium ice cream choices. I am not one to do all of my shopping at a premium grocer like this, but when you want something of true quality, there is no where else I would look.The primary negative is I dont love the layout as it forces you to weave your way through various sections of the store to arrive at whatever few items I want. No biggie though.

I love this place. It has so many unique items that you cant find anywhere else. Their fruits and vegetables are beautiful. Their deli and cheese counters are great. The meats are wonderful!

Ok, so over all if you look at my pictures, youll see there is a little bit of everything here.I couldnt take enough pictures to show you the vast amount of everything that is in this store.Literally everything and the kitchen sink.Social Distancing is in full effect here.The wine selection and the beer selection is off the wall, again, literally!!Lol, this place has a bakery and a kitchen with ready to go meals.Come by and check it out.No gas pumps though like most HEBs.The meat and seafood department is another must visit before I close this review, and check out the steaks shaped like Texas.

Just wish they were as helpful.and hospitable as they were 10 years ago. Things change but san antonio always had a good hospitable comforting sense about it. Not so much anymore

I love this place! Their produce section is incredible and you’ll find options you can’t find in other grocery stores in the city.The store is neat, clean, and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. It is definitely a pricy grocery store, but their pre-made food is absolutely fantastic and such a terrific option when I’m in the mood for something delicious but don’t have the energy to cook.

Got a tiramisu cake for my wifes birthday. Soooooo delicious. All bakery items here are 1st class.

Drove all the way from Helotes because I love this store. Went in specifically for the unbelievably delicious salmon dip to bring to California. They didnt have it. Its by far the best dip youve ever eaten. Wish theyd bring it back. Gets frustrating when you find something stellar and they stop selling it... But I still love this store.

I am a new SHIPT shopper and love coming to Central Market! The staff is terrific, especially those in produce, the meat market (I am vegan so really need their help) and dairy, especially JUAN and RAMON. Not to mention the beauty department and all the friendly cashiers and baggers! Even though I am shopping for others, its such a treat for me to come to this glorious store, full of gourmet treats!

This HEB Central Market is an awesome store! Its sort of like a regular HEB, but with so much more variety. And if you like cheese this place has you covered, they have a huge section with so many different varieties of cheese. And if youre all about health, well look no further, this Central Market has an amazing section of healthy items to choose from. They have protein powders, all sorts of healthy seeds, nuts, and protein bars. Another great reason to shop here is their huge selection of organic items. They also have a nice selection of non-dairy items, from almond milk, yogurt made with coconut milk, to non-dairy ice cream. Oh, and if you get hungry while shopping, no problem, they also have a place to grab something to eat, and a little sit down section. So for me this is the best HEB store Ive ever visited, and Ive been to a lot.Trust me when I say, you wont be disappointed.

Disappointed. I was expecting HEB, got some non-grocery store experience. HEB brands were replaced with Central market and other brands I did not recognize. Went in for Premium saltines, never found them. Asked at checkout, was told they were in a weird place, or maybe they were sold out. All my grandson wanted was saltines, they did not have any.On a positive note, lots of gluten free options, located in one area. So much more convenient than scattered all over the store.

Central market is my go to spot for most unique things. Even though Covid has affected everything, CM has gracefully handled it and you can tell they try really hard to keep the standard exemplary. I miss some of my favorites but if it can come back I believe CM will provide eventually.

Its awesome and makes me feel good just being in such a bountiful grocery store. It also has a good bulk selection, bakery, and prepared food selections. The only downside is a limited selection of only expensive brands of laundry detergent, dish soap, etc.

Central Market is the place to go to for specialty items in food, wine/beer, cheeses, and fresh beads and tortillas they bake and make everyday ! They also have a fresh and beautiful floral área and Top of the line specialty greeting cards for all occasions, as well as some of the best in toiletries..ie, soaps, creams, candles, almost any alluring item you’ll be needing for your striking domicile. They also have the best array of spices you’ll be needing for your favorite in cooking needs. Their staff is always available in many areas of the store to answer or order anything you’ll be needing.

Central Market is our favorite grocery store in San Antonio! The store is very clean, organized, and has a HUGE selection of everything! They have a wide assortment of dried beans and rices, fresh meats, craft beers, wines, cheeses, fruits and veggies too. Our favorite are the fresh breads. mmmmm so good. It also has a deli style eatery and cooking classes. This place is a must visit if youve never been.

In the midst of panic there was actually order at central market. I just want to recognize Jessica for her outstanding service. She kept the check out line moving fast and efficient. She was extremely professional and courteous. Great job!🙌

The upstairs staff didnt trust a check out clerk, to be able to ring up a book. They just had to escort me down to a register. Just to hand the book off. The clerk didnt have any issues.

The produce section doesnt have the variety it used to but the quality is good. Same with the bakery. I miss the cherry chocolate bread but the hatch chili season almost makes up for it.Be careful with the prepared food items, especially beef, and the prepackaged meat, also beef, in the coolers. In the past three years, Id say a good 25% of the items turned out to be bad by the next day despite a quick drive home and immediate refrigeration upon arrival home. Due to a busy work schedule on my workdays, making returns isnt feasible so I cant answer to how they handle returns of such products. If you stick to cheese and veggies, though, everything is good.

Awesome store,. You have got to try the queso from the deli. Worth the drive alone. So many tempting items in the deli, bakery, just an all around great store !

First time here, in which I was recommended to shop here. I found what I was looking for + a little bit more. It was crowded which is a good thing. The layout of CM is different yet unique. It was a flow pattern I guess so that you come in contact w/ almost everything it sells. Ill be back for the other amenities as well.

HEB is a great company and Central Markets are especially nice stores offering more variety on certain items such as fresh seafood, more exotic produce and seasonal items. Their wine and cheese selections are wonderful and although a bit pricey, theres lots of choices of ready made foods. This place is always busy and parking could be a bit of a pain so factor that in before you visit.
