Looking for great coffee? Give Royal Blue Grocery a try. I suggest a name change to Royal Blue Coffee and Grocery. Ordered a Horchata for daughter who was very pleasantly surprised and loved it. She said it was better than other popular coffee trucks and shops in town. I had had a vanilla/cinnamon latte it too was very good. We would definitely come back!

Great lattes, and a solid snack selection, though a bit pricey. The hot sandwiches are pretty good. Will say though, dont ask for a toasted bagel. They put it in the microwave instead of the oven, before slicing it by the way, and it comes out as hard as a rock.

Jessica and her staff are top notch.This is a place that San Antonio has been missing! HEB grocery is nice but doesn’t provide that inner city feel like New York, San Francisco or Denver. Royal Blue Grocery does!Their cappuccino and sandwiches are amazing!!!! I highly recommend them!The Architect that Jessica hired did an amazing job in the interior design.Check them out!They are located off Soledad and Houston, don’t miss them!

This was an incredible find. We asked if there was any place close to the hotel and the front desk said there was a small grocery around the corner. A delicious pastry selection that included Home made pop tarts, fresh brewed coffees, imported cheeses and sliced meats, a lovely assortment of European chocolates and crackers...we were there at least once a day during our 3 day trip

Finally found a European style grocery. Great selection of house essentials: laundry, bathroom, kitchen supplies in miniature versions that are so hard to find in big stores. Travel essentials, mini pharmacy, limited fruit/vegetable, wide variety of organic snacks and chocolate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s open from early morning till midnight and you can grab a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and have a hot sandwich. Wish they had this store every 5 blocks.

Great place for fresh food and reasonably priced. Had a Grilled Cheese with veggies that was wonderful! And bought a sandwich and veggies to go! Oh! And no rude employees and never wore a mask!

Been a long time since visiting San Antonio River Walk. The Virus has subsided and you would think businesses would be welcoming customers. First and Last time patronizing Royal Blue Grocery. Stepped in for bottle of water and to browse and as we walked to the refrigerated area, we were met with an extremely rude employee. You Have t o Wear a Mask to shop here!, she exclaimed. I asked if she wanted our business. She replied, No, not if youre not wearing a mask! I would be hopeful Store Management would not endorse this type of no-service from their staff. Many businesses have adopted the Mask Recommended approach which provides an acceptable balance given the current status of our economy. These types of employees are a dis-service to their employers.

Beautiful clean and spacious grocery store. Intelligent concept. And they make a great Cuban sandwich there. I will shop there regularly from now on.

Fantastic service and quick Cuban sandwiches. Good gourmet pizza. Great family environment for a quick lunch or dinner. Selection of drinks is outstanding. Prices are competitive to a specialty HEB. We are local but this is a dream for tourists to stay within budget and have quality food.

I mean if you need something in a pinch its ok, but you will pay double the price. Might as well walk a few more steps and go to Walgreens, or a little further and go to HEB where you will have way more variety.

This is one of my favorite places in San Antonio. They have amazing coffee selection & food options. They also have bottles or wine, beer, soda, etc. The people are super helpful & nice. They open early and stay open late.

I love this small grocery store its so convenient and easily accessible. Plus there isnt a lot of people at one time in the store which helps reduce the spread of COVID. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Not really a grocery. Has large selection of wine and beer. Some ready to est items but very limited actual groceries and what they do have is quite expensive.

So sad and disappointed.Ive been there before and the customer xperience was amazing, not today.Bought a latte and they dont even offer any sweetener.Ask for the restroom and they denied me the use of it.It was like both guys dont want to be there working today.Should put the girls to work, they are more customer service oriented

Overpriced+ but I get it, its convenient when youre staying in one of the surrounding hotels. Fine then. Its a mini grocery store. But then the cashier turns the iPad thing to you so that you can tip? No thanks. Ridiculous

I love this small grocery. It reminds me of the bodegas from the East coast. Just a place to pick up small packaged stuffs and some drinks/dranks to go. They also have a small patio if you wanna grab a small good item and a beverage to be outside. It is something that is much needed on the Houston Street corridor and I hope they pull through the current Covid-19 restrictions. I always try to buy something whenever Im near by.

The sandwiches are reasonably priced and they are served pretty fast, but they dont taste fast. Ive had the Cuban twice and though I wont say it is my favorite Cuban, it is one of my favorite sandwiches downtown. This grocery also carries a nice variety of wines and Beechers Flagship Cheese - my favorite cheese.

They have alot of great sandwhiches, pizza slices, coffee (extra) and fresh produce. Need and egg or a wee bit of milk boom. Also the wine wall. I usually just have a beer and be on my way since now adays but their great. Think whole foods TEXAS anyways love it would recommend 7am-10pm central time. As of:7.18.20 Wear a Mask. Please! Cute little grocery store/sandwich shop/ pizza by the slice place. Very clean and awesome hours. Kinda like a hipster version of what New York bodegas look like in movies.

I was introduced to this place by a great friend of mine. My favorite drink there is Blue Buddha. Great tea. My favorite food there is the Veggie Sandwich.

I tried shopping here i wanted some beers, my son wanted water but they wont let you in if you dont have a mask . I get that and respected but i covered my face with a shirt and told me no you cant come in BUT we will sell you one for 2 dollars. My wife got in the same way i tried and was let in. Maybe because I am hispanic but this store is full of B.s just avoid

Love this place. Love their hot sandwich (Italian), soup of the day are tasty. A little small. You can get a bigger soup at a mexican restuarant for a lesser price and more ingredients. I was not impressed with their coffee. Little weak for me and not that tasty. Starbucks 1 minute walk from there. I do love the fact its a grocery store, they have all kinds of healthy salads and pastas even. Lots of organics. You can eat healthy there. People are very courteous. They have a selection of wines. My only hang up is the coffee. They do have a coffee bar there though. All and all I do give it a thumbs up!

Very clean inside I had a really good sandwich, the staff was alert and really nice. I wanted to check it out since I havent been to the one in Austin. So now Ill go check out Austins location.

Prices are a bit much, but its in a convenient, hip spot. Service was polite. Probably great for some date night at home options for downtown dwellers.

Its more like a small cafe with liquor and some groceries collection. But its nice, clean and very cozy little place. It has some seating inside and some outside as well.

Great addition to the downtown area. I visited for a quick lunch pick up and noticed you can order hot food as well. Healthy options, and the hours are awesome for the hospitality workers and tourist in the downtown area. I’ll definitely recommend this friendly store to the guests at my job downtown that inquire for a nearby grocery.

Great concept. Excellent sandwichs and beer/wine selections. Nice salads too. It makes a little while but the wait is worth it on the handmade hit sandwichs.

On the one hand it’s cool the small artisanal urban market concept with a coffee bar exists. Their pricing however is outrageous. Like twice a normal grocer on stuff like iced tea. It’s basically airport pricing.

Great products, nice atmosphere and a heavy selection of organic vegan foods and drinks. They have GF and keto consumables too. Didnt give five stars because lack of produce and high prices.

Has become my go to coffee spot. Its more expensive but well worth it. Also lots of other good bits and bobs and a lovely helpful staff.

A great downtown edition near Geekdom and the Riverwalk at 116 E Houston. Limited groceries, but great wine/beer selection, snacks, healthy foods, and lunch goodies.

We really needed something like the Royal Blue Grocery on E-Ho (TM). The ATX Salad (w/ chipotle ranch) is the best pre-packaged salad I can remember ever having in San Antonio. Healthy and delicious.

Very friendly and they have great items. The pizza was pretty good also!

Had a delicious chai, made promptly by polite employees. It is rather on the pricey side but thats to be expected downtown especially when it seems like they use quality ingredients.

Seems really over priced when H-E-B is just down the road. The sandwiches for lunch are ok but there are better options for their price.
