We bought a new 10 ton water chiller, 220V. It was not UL listed, but we knew that as we had asked. We hired a contractor to hookup and start-up the chiller. It leaked profusely from each end of 3 separate hoses. We began disassembly to determine the cause and then effect repairs. The stainless hose barbs were poorly machined by the manufacturer from nominal pipe rather than purchase hose barb fittings. The barbs were machined to a smaller diameter than the hose and did not fit well. They made up the difference by applying almost 3/16 of teflon tape then tightening the hose with 2 very cheap hose clamps on each end. We had to buy the proper fittings, new hoses and new insulation. Poor quality chiller. We then hired a consultant to do a UL equivalency label. The cord supplied was of insufficient size for the 220V model and had to be replaced. All in with parts and labor we are down about $3,000 on a brand new chiller. Zero stars was not available for a rating. Chinese products are not worth the hassle. The true value was about half what we paid for the chiller.
