Let’s start by saying this is not the place to go to and I for sure don’t recommend anyone to go there! I paid 400$ for 4 simple speakers and a small amp that sounded terrible. Once I got my truck back it was left a mess and the sound was so nasty that I couldn’t even listen because the speakers pop so much. Please save your money and don’t get fouled by the 5 star reviews. This place is terrible and Mark is even worse because he was very believable in the end that was not the case!!!! DONT GO THERE!!!!

Im not paid for or sponcered by them, they didnt even ask to give them a review, this is just my honest real review.I went there bout a month ago just for some advice and help because I was installing my 1st system myself. Went to 2 other places and called a couple others and if youre not buying stuff from them they wont give you the time of day. Some places wont even install if its not their stuff. (Got the Walmart special) 😂Anyways went there a couple times cause I was stuck and they were hella cool and helpful. Each time I went there they took the time to come out and look at what I had going on and show me exactly what to do. They didnt try to upsell me anything either and their price is cheaper than all the other places. They charge $100 per hour all the other places charge $150 an hr. and they didnt charge me anything to look at my set up and answer all my questions. So definitely would recommend them 💯💯 They were super nice and helpful, definitely will being going back 👌👌👍👍

I love this place! Just got a new radio installed for my VW Beetle and it sounds great. Mark, who runs the place, is super communicative, helpful, and even showed me how everything works before sending me on my way. Mark was very helpful with the installation of an Apple Car Play head unit in a 2016 Prius.The background for my story is that I hate the Toyota Entune interface, and have wanted to add CarPlay. I noodle around on the internet, and found a $300 radio that was plug and play with my model of Prius. Except that it wasnt - my Prius had a premium low voltage external amp the didnt play nice with aftermarket head units. The wires behind the dash did not align with what Toyota specs said should be there.I was looking at needing a $300 aftermarket harness, but head about Marks shop from a friend.I was planning on dropping by to see if he could fix the problem, and then book the appointment, but Marks crew was able do it in less than 2 hours for a fair price.I would recommend him highly for adding a CarPlay ready unit to any car, but especially the problem Toyota years prior to 2018.

I went to make a sound budget and they charge me 80 dollars and I can already imagine how much labor it takes to change a sound with them...Too expensive

Took my car here to have the rear camera installed and wired in my car. Its now up and running and Mark was a pleasure to work with, super friendly and great service. I mentioned his name to another shop that is helping with another project and they even said these guys are great.

The owner is very nice but prices are very high. I shopped around and found that he was about $120 more then every shop I went to in the East Bay. I wanted to keep my money local and support the shops in my neighborhood but its really hard in these times and a deal is a deal so I had to take my business to Car Audio Depot in Hayward. Same exact device, labor, and warranty and it was $120 cheaper.

Had them install a dashcam couple of years ago - their prices were the most reasonable in the area. I went back to move the dashcam to new car, and they finish the job sooner than they said which was great.

Installed Android auto head unit. Casting Chromecast to the unit. Very fun to have kids broadcast their songs from Spotify or YouTube video to the screen.The guys were fast and even brought me chairs to sit on while they worked on it.

I can highly recommend SoundWave Mobile Electronics!I was looking for an upgrade from our factory car radio. Mark did an awesome job of explaining the different options and was very considerate of my budget.After we decided on an option, the parts were there within a day (speaks to the great connection he has to his suppliers). When I arrived the next day for my appointment there was no wait time and the work was done faster than expected.I will definitely go back to Mark and his team for any car audio needs.

Mark and his team are awesome. The completely replaced our speakers, added an amplifier and subwoofer in one appointment day. He walked me through various options and ultimately installed an amazing system. Equipment prices are retail, and installation cost is good for the Bay and 100% worth the quality. No doubt we will be back with our future cars.

I bought a used car from a new car dealer. The radio didnt work. They checked it and after several visits eventually said it worked fine. It didnt. I called Mark and he installed a supplemental antenna. Works perfectly, and cost much less than I expected. This place is easy to work with and not at all pushy. Great experience.

Great service very fair prices. If you have audio needs, they can help offer suggestions or install the equipment that you have.I brought a Jeep Wrangler to them to install a powered sub to help the audio quality. The Jeep has no bass and so they put the one I bought. I was going to install it myself but I didnt feel like spending all day messing with the wiring and then running it through the firewall, taking out the radio, hooking up the output to the sub, running the wire down the dash and under the carpet to the sub. They did it in about 4 hrs and I would have spent all day. Now the Jeep sounds great! Super helpful and approachable!

Great environment, I got my tint and alarm installed. They work hard to get your car done at the time promised. Had a little mishap on first visit but it all worked out and I will be taking it back in to get a stereo installed.

Got pulled over by the coolest CHP officer ever for using my cell phone (with headphones, which I thought was OK). Its not. He gave me stern warning and I immediately got my rear in gear and found the guys at SoundWave in San Carlos. This is totally the place for people who want the great technology without having to deal with the techno-speaking knuckleheads that work in most car audio stores (been there, bought that). Great demonstration of the available solutions, great pricing on the total solution and a totally professional installation done by appointment and finished on time. Great job by Mark and Dave - I totally recommend this shop for car technology upgrades!!

Great bunch of folk.Mark quickly went through the choices and helped me choose a simpler, lower priced, unit than I had expected to get.The installation was right on time and Ive had no trouble at all with either the radio or the installation.

Do not... I repeat... DO NOT! Get your windows tinted here. I will admit they are somewhat accommodating but they charged $381 for a tint job on a sedan. Apparently a quality job costs more than some hack job at the other places around here. And yes that is a quote. I just took it back for peeling on the driver window (I even waited 4 days before rolling them down the first time) and there was a 2 inch bubble in the rear window. Both were replaced and now I see that there are crease lines, streaking and bubbles in every single window. I am not sure how I didnt notice this a month ago when they were first tinted because the imperfections are very obvious. For car audio they may be okay but I would definitely not recommend you over paying for a tint job you will have to bring back again and again.

Got my stereo replaced yesterday. When I went in, Mark took the time to understand what I needed, made a few recommendations, had me sync up my phone to some of his demos in the shop via Bluetooth then show what itd be like to play music/receive calls from it. Extremely reasonably priced. Day of my appointment, I was in and out in under an hour and a half. Mark sat with me in my car to make sure that my phone didnt have any issues connecting, showed me how to answer phone calls directly from the console (which we demoed), and installed an inconspicuous microphone above the rear view mirror. I highly recommend Sound Wave Mobile Electronics for any car audio upgrades that you may need. You will not find better service around the Bay Area for the price.

Excellent service. Not pushy. Actually tried to suggest a cheaper solution first ($80) which i myself upgraded to $255 to get other features on my stereo. If you dont want to spend 2-3 hours on youtube learning how to do this yourself thats the right place for you, they wont try to trick you.

These guys did a great job getting a Retro Sound stereo for my vintage VW. Theyre particularly good with classics and show a lot of attention to detail.

These guys really know what they are doing and are reasonably priced. Most car stereo shops are kinda flakey but not these guys. Very professional in all aspects.
