The place is beautiful and the servers are really friendly. They have three tables inside and one outside.Finally, Ice crema is delicious specially the chocolate one.

The delicious flavors youd expect from gelato with a few surprises added. The option to have a simple, dark or milk chocolate-dipped wafer cookie on top puts your sugar high just over the edge. Glorious! Staff here are excellent and pandemic protocol top notch.

All of the flavors seem absolutely delicious! We tried the chocolate chip flavor and the Nutella one. They added a delicious dark chocolate sprinkle on top and also a waffle wafer cookie. They also have ice cream bars and mini ice cream cones that you can buy as well.

Great variety of flavors and options, fresh opportunities to be adventurous. Try a double flavor on a cone/cup and don’t be afraid to ask for clarification on a flavor. Not everyone knows what Stracciatella is! (Chocolate flakes in vanilla, as pictured here with Bento!)

This place has really exciting flavors and real tasty gelato! They have these chocolate bars with different flavors and I couldnt help myself to try them over a gelato in a cone/ cup. I will definitely recommend it for the icecream cravings and will come back for other flavors

Had all the fruity flavors, Pineapple, Raspberry, and Mango. All great and gelato was firm and did not melt quickly. Once you walk inside, youll smell the fresh waffle cones

So good! We were looking for something sweet after dinner and stumbled on Gelataio. I had a tiny little vanilla cone, which was just the right amount. Both my kids had the gelato bars, and my husband had a scoop in a cup. The chocolate fountains are a great touch. It was a little pricey, but Id go back again to try some of the other flavors.

The person at the counter did not want to freshly pack pints for me. When Im spending $35 or more for ice cream I just wanted to get fresh. As soon as other people came in she forced me to take what they already have in the freezer which I know is not fresh. Terrible service good product Ill just find another place that makes gelato

Always a good experience with them. Sometimes the lines are long but that is a natural problem when you are as popular as they are in a hot day.

I LOVED the size of cups they offer. I had the small and it is like an American childs size but you get TWO flavors! This is gelato not ice cream so the sizes are consistent with what we had in Italy. I had the raspberry yogurt and mint and chip, both were good and I was impressed that the yogurt was tangy like real yogurt. My husband had the medium with vanilla and chocolate and loved the chocolate but thought the vanilla needed more flavor. They offer milk or dark chocolate topping from a fountain that they dip a wafer under and drizzle over the gelato. They have free water if your thirsty, its toward the back of the shop. The service was excellent and the reasons they didnt get 5 stars is because of the lack of flavor of the Tahitian vanilla and they dont wear gloves but I did see them washing their hands. That doesnt bother my husband at all. Great location if you want gelato after dinner. They have a sign that they make the gelato.

LOVED IT!!! This is the best ice cream place in the Bay Area which has a lot of ice cream flavors, including vegan, gluten free, no eggs. We had cookie and cream ice cream bar, and caramel ice cream bar and it was so delicious. Their interiors are also well designed to give you a nice time. I will surely visit again!

Oh my goodness! Where do I even start with how amazing and delicious the frozen desserts are here??? From individual chocolate dipped Gelato bars and tiny cones to their hand packed pints and quarts, everyone leaves with something special. Their sorbet is always fresh and seasonal. My favorite so far is their vegan cantaloupe sorbet, although the stacciatella (chocolate chip) Gelato is a close second!

The food was fantastic but the service could not have been worse. Our server visited our table a total of three times. Once each for our order, to bring drinks, and to refill once. We had to chase her down for a different refill for drinks and she was nowhere to be found when it came time to pay.

Really nice Italian ice cream / Gelato.

Best ice cream in the peninsula, in my opinion. Their flavors are so well put together. Theyre inventive enough, but not for the sake of being inventive or trendy; the flavors actually taste good. I particularly love the Salted Caramel and the Orange Cream flavors. Note that their piccolo sized cone is quite generous in size.

Really good stuff! Really friendly stuff. Try a few flavors before you pick, everything is great. Nikolai loves this place. They have two locations one Downtown San Carlos and Downtown Palo Alto.

A few of the gelato flavors are outstanding, the main one being California pistachio. Its not overly sweet and with one taste you can tell it is made from a lot of real pistachios, not extract or flavor. The staff is polite and service is efficient.Tip: They often run out of pistachio on the weekends, buy a pint, you wont regret it!

This is a popular place. we were in line for 10 minutes on a Friday night before our turn. It was the first time we tried this place...like 5 different flavors. Sadly all of them were too sweet to our taste. We loved the gelato in Italy, and ate it most every day we were there, but this was not a good reminder of our gelato experience there. I was going for the opposite, but we tried.

Glad to see another ice cream (well, gelato) place in San Carlos. Theyve got a good variety of traditional and creative flavors, as well as coffee and made-to-order hot cocoa (your choice of dark or milk chocolate). A bit on the pricey side, but you get a more refined dessert and atmosphere than your regular ice cream place. Its the local after-dinner hangout for kids (and kids at heart).

Stumbled upon this place while wandering around in San Carlos. Well worth the quick detour. They had about 15 flavors (I had California pistachio and lavender) with a plain wafer on top. For a small size, you can try up to two flavors, which is nice. When we were there, they were busy making more wafers, which were incredibly crisp. Not often in San Carlos, but will make a point of coming back.

OMGAAAAAAWD I LOVE THIS PLACE. its expensive but so worth it. The ice cream is amazing and you can tell its all natural and homemade. The waffle cones have a great vanilla flavor and they have tubs you can buy and ice cream bars and lil cones for the kids. Its a great treat.

This is the real deal! Great flavors and pre-made tiny cones with ice cream and chocolate. We loved the pistachio gelato. Bonus - they have a chocolate fountain which had rich European hot chocolate.. overall a great experience to kick-off a the spring weather.

Cookies n cream for life

Ice cream is ok, and the flavors are decent although there isnt much of a selection. What is absurd is $1 per drizzle. When taking ice cream home, they put it in containers where the chocolate gets stuck on the sides. So the first $8 just gets wasted in the container. Want to market yourself as Italian Tradition? In Italy they wouldnt dare make you pay for the drizzle. And they dont have panna.

Unbelievably delicious gelato with chocolate drizzle. I had a waffle cone with pineapple hibiscus gelato, and it was incredible. They had a store in Palo Alto and now they are in San Carlos also. You wont want to miss this.

OMG. Amazing gelato and the cookie dipped in the chocolate fountain was a nice touch. I had a small cup with Double Chocolate and Cajeta Caramel that was to die for.

Portions size are ridiculously small. Stuff is very slow and inexperienced. Ironically, trying a few samples would give you more ice-cream, for free.
