I was super bummed so I thought I’d send them back to see if they could be fixed under the guarantee. Well I got them back yesterday and they sent me a new pair along with an adorable face mask! Having grown up in Southern California for most of our lives, were huge fans of Rainbow Sandals. Prices for Rainbow sandals can be quite high from department stores, so we prefer stopping by the factory outlet in San Clemente when visiting SD from LA. If you arent too picky about the style of sandals, you can find deeply discounted sandals that are getting discontinued or having excess inventory. Just ask any of the friendly staff to help point you to the insane deals. Another interesting item that you will only be able to purchase from the factory store is the giant sandals. Yes, some of those giant sandals lying around in the store are actually for sale. Weve bought one and its still sitting in our living room. The place is never overly crowded, and plenty of parking is available right in front of the store.

Great store with reasonable prices on their sandals. They are very comfortable and last for quite a long time. They also have a large selection to choose from with so many sizes. The staff was very nice and very helpful. Make a good recommendation based on how I as going to use the sandal.

I love Rainbow Sandals! I started with my first pair back in 2005 or so and I have bought several pairs since. I also have 3 pairs of loafers that are my staple for work and casually going out. I love how they are super comfy and form to your feet. I love the outlet because you can get some discounted slightly imperfect pairs.

I’ve worn Rainbows for decades, overpriced but they were guaranteed, if they came apart before the first layer of rubber wore through they would fix or replace them….now when I bring in a pair where the glue didn’t hold..they say “not my problem” take them to a cobbler.So now there just overpriced!!!

I was warmly greeted at the door by a lovely lady (wish I had gotten her name so I could shout her out!). Chance gave me the best service I’ve ever had in any retail experience, and helped me to find exactly the right fit for my feet, which was a lengthy process (I’m a little picky 😬). Rather than lose patience, though, he actually gave me way more options than I’d even imagined, and was so accommodating. Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates people who genuinely care about your customer experience.

Ive been wearing Rainbows for 20 some years now. They are the only sandal I can rely on in every situation that presents me. Casual but comfortable. Your blood pressure will drop ten points as soon as you walk in the place. Dont worry about the stiffness, within a few days these beauties will take on your footprint and youll be sold too. EXCELLENT customer service and happy staff. I wish I could work here. Lots of history and happy customer tributes to show for it.

San Clemente local who loves bringing visitors here for our world famous sandals. Stopped in with a big bunch from free breathing Texas. Sadly staff refused to honor ADA medical exemptions. Even lied and said that law hasnt passed yet. Wouldnt have spent a dollar but had promised gifts to grandkids. Wont support these science deniers with another purchase until they change their policy.

And the totally rad part is the fact that they have a pair of my old slaps in a shadowbox on the wall in the entry vestibule with the story in wrote about them and how long they lasted. When Hugo heard me talking about it he came over, took my photo with them and them gave us a tour of the factory. Found my rainbows that I wore throughout college. Wore them almost everyday for about 3 years. Lasted longer than any other sandals Ive ever had. Half way through the journey, Ive dropped off these rainbows for repair because the straps came out and they shipped it back to me. Had to finally write a review because Im mapping it okay my phone. Figured why the hell not.

We had to replace our rainbows. My husbands lasted 10 years and mine didnt hold up against a great Dane! Ha!!! Because id the virus they are not doing the trade in for 10% off. Ours wouldnt have qualified anyway because they have to be wearable. Good customer service. Social distancing good too.

I absolutely love the rainbow outlet! Although, it is not the same as usual because of these uncertain times (you cannot go in the store it is curb side pick up only) AYLA made it seem like it was as usual! She was willing to bring out all the pair of sandals we needed to try on. She brought me out all the pairs that were on sale for us to see and also all the classics we needed. Her attitude towards helping us was amazing! At a point, I thought I was being very needy because I wanted to try so many pairs on, but she was extremely nice and patient. I lost my receipt and they still let me exchange my sandles.

I find the much bragged about warranty less than adequate. The rubber tread on my very expensive sandals started to delaminate in less than 2 months of wearing them. The sandals still looked pretty clean but since I walk very heavy on my heels and the back corner began to rub through, they would not honor the warranty.

Im really disenchanted with my recent purchase, and the fact that no ones ever contacted me back about it, despite several attempts to make contact with rainbow, it really hits me in the feels. I mean, weve spent thousands upon thousands on sandals and other merchandise over the years, we make the trip from San Diego, at least quarterly, and they just disregard us entirely. Im completely at a loss for words.

BUT hate the return/exchange policy ... buyers beware if you want to exchange your sandals you’ll be paying over $9.00 of your own dime to return them, and then will have to pay a $7.00 to exchange the sandals for a grand total of $16.00 and some change . Or As they suggest we still pay $9.00 and some change to return your shoes. So if you want to save money.... make sure you get the right style you want .

Disappointing!.. Today I went to return/replace a pair of sandals I bought 7 months ago and the guy tells me they only have a 6 month guarantee. The side strap came out!??.. Isnt that what rainbow is known for!?.. Having a lifetime guarantee!?.. They will replace or repair if a strap comes out or toe band comes out??.. He ended up throwing my sandals away cause I dint want to wait 30 plus days just for them to take a look at them toseeif they can fix them!??..I bought different sandals, cause he have me ten percent off,will try them out 1 more time but was very Disappointed today ☹️

My kids started wearing Rainbow Sandals over 30 years ago. Very comfortable and they wear like iron. About 20 years ago we moved to south Orange County and they discovered the Rainbow Sandals outlet. Youd have thought they had reached Nirvana. Even though they have relocated, when they come home to visit, at least one of them wants to head over to the Rainbow Sandals outlet.

Staff was rude. But apparently it was only “ a language barrier.” Parking limited but staff take priority over customers with parking. They will stand in the spot to prevent you from parking there. I watched them unload catered food while making me re park my vehicle, after I had told them I just needed to run in to pick up my defective sandals that were there for repair. I love rainbows and usually have no issue but this was a huge deterrent.

Rainbow is a great company with high-quality sandals at a good price. As a California native I take pride in wearing rainbows and I’m on my fourth or fifth pair and have no plans of changing brands. In California you can wear sandals year-round and these are built to last.

An outlet store specifically selling Rainbow anything and everything?! Sign me up Scotty!!! My girlfriend and I have tried on coming here several times on a weekend coming back from SD but never make it on time since they close pretty early on Sundays (around 4 or so). We FINALLY were able to get a free weekend to make it down in the area and check the place out since she was in dire need of new rainbows and I was ecstatic to get my first pair. Parking is a bit of a pain since their private lot only has less than 10 spots, but there was plenty of street parking nearby around the time we went during a Sunday.The moment you step into this store, youre greeted by a popcorn machine and an environment that makes you feel like youre in Hawaii. No matter what wall or direction you turn, nothing but rainbow sandals or foot wear, its CRAZY! seems like they have twice the amount of women attire than men, but thats okay because us men are very simplistic creatures... or I am at least. The discount you get here may not be too drastic, but I think saving 10 bucks on a pair of perfectly good and new sandals that will last you several years isnt too shabby. Did I also mention that you get an additional 10% off your purchase if you bring your old rainbows in? I mean, where else will you find a deal like that?!

Wow! They really stick by their warranty. I sent them my well used flops. The thong had pulled out. This is the first time that has happened to me. (Ive worn out 3 pairs of rainbows before this last pair.) They replaced my well used flops with brand new ones. I am totally impressed! Its probably been 4 years since I came down to visit the factory outlet. Ive had nothing but positive experiences in the past however they have gotten a lot stricter on their warranty policy My wifes sandals which I thought would totally be in warranty were not covered. But I will say their selection of styles has grown. And they are still cheaper there than at the mall... Do malls still exist?

Rainbows will ALWAYS be my favorite sandals. The thicker strapped sandals last forever. I own a pair going on fifteen years. The thinner strapped sandals not so much but they do leave a smaller tan line.They do not always have everything in stock but the selection is impressive. Maybe its because I am friendly but I only get great service here.

It was pure luck that we came across this store. On our way to our big weekend trip in SD, we pulled off the freeway for a quick pee break and at one of the stop lights we noticed this rainbow store. My BF just broke his 5 year old rainbows the weekend before so we stopped by. It was 10 am on a Friday and the parking lot was full and the store filled. I imagine the weekends must be even worse. I had no idea Rainbows made so many different type of sandals. The variety was as pleasant as it was surprising. The best part is this is an outlet store and the price they display includes tax. I paid an even $45 for my new double sole rainbows.

Picked up my first pair of Rainbow sandals today. Fit great, double layer is where the comfort is at. Store associates are super friendly and helpful.

After reading many reviews, I went to the outlet store today in San Clemente. The sales guy was super helpful. I purchased two pair of the 301ALT, a dark brown thick strap, and a premier black thick strap. Total with tax was $92.00 for both pairs. I’ve been wearing a pair for a few hours now and today are SO comfortable, no breaking in necessary. I’m really glad I did not order them online. I am almost always a size 9, every now and then an 8 1/2. So according to the sizing I would have purchased an extra large online. I tried them on in the store and they were too big. I ended up getting a size large which says 7.5 to 8.5. They fit perfectly, with a little bit a room at the back. The salesman did explain to me that the Rainbow “USA” sandals fit a bit differently than the Rainbow’s made overseas. The one without the “USA” on it that is made overseas is a bit longer and narrower. Both of them were on the same rack, you have to look at the lower part of the flip-flop to see if USA is stamped below the “Rainbow”. You can also tell the difference because they have different colored Rainbow tags in the middle. I prefer to buy Made in USA products, plus they happen to fit better, so it was a win-win. I will say, a couple of years ago I bought my first pair of Rainbows at a different store, and they only had the narrow strap to choose from, so that is what I got. I never really loved them. They were a little uncomfortable. I LOVE the thick strap. It is 100 times more comfortable. The only negative today was that some of the flip-flops looked a little scuffed up. Maybe that’s because it’s an outlet store? I’m not sure. Definitely worth the price though. They are $54 a piece online, in the outlet store they are $42.69 a pair.

This was one of my first visits when I moved to California, because my southern California roommate told me I was not a true Californian until I owned a pair of Rainbows. Well, my first pair is still going strong, and I just revisited the store to purchase a second (braided) pair.A fun stop if youre in San Clemente.

Customer service here was good.The gentleman at the door was not mean.There is a HUGE selection of sandals you can purchase. And the store is not too crowded if you go here on the weekdays.When we went again on the weekend it was hectic, but not too bad.The sandals I purchased were a little defective so I have not worn them much. But I would come back here.Also they have a few parking spots in front of their store, in addition to street parking.

BUYERS BEWARE! My boyfriend got a pair of sandals for his birthday but they did not fit. He was told he could pay to send the sandals back and pay $7 to have a new size shipped out. Instead we opted to drive 2 hours and go in person to the store to try them on (he has a neuropathy and has trouble finding shoes to fit). We were quite shocked that they WOULD NOT GIVE FULL CREDIT and only credit a reduced lower outlet price even though they know that a higher price was paid online. The reason they said is because the outlet is a totally different business/ entity than the online store which is just a round about way for them to keep your money. Since we were not allowed to go to the warehouse down the street to make the return directly, they acted like they were doing us a huge favor to return these shoes to the warehouse on our behalf (even though it is the same company with the same name and the same business owner in the same town!). Something fishy for sure! To top it all off, he was unable to find a replacement pair and they would not even give him the reduced cash refund because it was paid by a credit card and the refund would need to go back to the person who made the gift. Really awkward for the gift giver and the birthday boy! Their policy really sucks and they do nothing to help you out! You get penalized for buying online and trying to make an exchange in the store. To make the matters worse, they will give you reduced credit but charged me full retail price on the pair of sandals that I ended up getting since he couldnt find anything to fit. So you see they screw you both ways! Bottom line, the return policies on new purchases and gifts are really horrible. I will not do business with a company that treats their customers this way and makes the act of receiving a gift an inconvenient nightmare! Plus the shoes are WAY OVER PRICED!!!

They always sell you on Lifetime Warranty. I have attempted to reach them by email 3 times over the last month and have been ignored. I called and they said try without sending pictures they may get rejected if the files are to big. Im sorry but I have sent with / without pictures. Just dont wanna deal with warranty issues I guess. On another note if you every get them wet they will literally stain your feet for days. I went to the beach and it was terrible. I would just save your $$ and get your flip flops elsewhere.

Not enough parking. Very crowded. Not a very good deal on sandals. You only save between 5-10 dollars off retail. Billed as an outlet its really not. People are generally rude and push to get at the sandals. Employees on the day I was there could care less, were more interested in their phones or chatting amongst themselves.

I love their variety of selections! I like that they have a lot of kid selections since I would need to have the kids try them before getting them! Tax is included!
