Ordered a combo washer/dryer unit from Home Depot and then my browser brought up the same product by American Freight for $500 less. It offered next day delivery for $99 and said it was out of the box when I went to order it, then after I paid, it stated minor scratches. I figured, thats fine (our combo unit died so we needed it asap and have renters). They caled me next day and said, oh no, we cant deliver for 1 month. I said, why do you offer that on website if you cant do it. Rep said, whatever it says on the website we cant do it. Im like, OK, so I had my contractor go get it (huge hassle) and bring it to me and install it. It literally looked like it had been dropped off the back of a truck. Entire Right side caved in on top and bottom of unit. Went to use it and the dryer hit the dent in the side when it turned, making super loud noise. My contractor pulled the dent out enough for it not to hit. Then I did a load of laundry and it simply just stopped with a full load in it and filled to the top with water - wouldnt drain. Wouldnt work at all. Called them up and they were like, well, we have another one that doesnt look damaged (same out of box deal). They sent it next day via delivery (hummm, funny they could do THAT) and took old one away. This one seems to work fine so far but I will never order from them again!

Hello our appliance broke and we where forced to buy new ones. We came to the store and Monica help us beyond our expectations. She found the item that was in the back of the store. We where looking for the 36 inches cooktop and could not find it anywhere in the San Diego on hard. Everywhere we looked we had to order and wait for 3-5 days. And they all where twice the price. Monica at the Morena store surprised us with her diligence and super polite and positive attitude. We got what we where looking for with superb service. Excellent job. Highly recommended everyone to go Morena store and work with Monica.

If you want cheap appliances this is the place to come. Most all of the items are damaged and they will point out the scratches and dents to you before you pay and sign. Just be careful with what you decide on because they are still high priced and these items are supposed to last you a long time.

The worst experience ever, i thought they are helpful at the beginning and they told me you can do payments instead of paying everything as a lump sum and they are signs everywhere that NO CREDIT SCORE NEEDED however that didnt happen, they ran credit which let me lose 13 points and they told me just sign the contract no need to read it now and out of a sudden i realized after 2 months of payments that there is a $99 added to the total value under the name of early pay off, the payment company or whatever called American First Finance are so unhelpful and their customer service agents are so rude and extremely disrespectful.I REALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND SPECIFICALLY THIS STORE TO ANYBODY

Unbelievable incompetence, to assist a customer that was ready to buy a fridge on the spot.10 minutes prior to arriving to the location I called the store to make sure they have a fridge that I was looking for a stock they told me they have several models available.Once I got to the store they looked me in the eye and told me that they have no models in that size available and they come down and sit by whom I spoke with only 10 minutes earlier. They were uninterested and rude.Horrible experience, do not go there!Im typing this as I am picking up my fridge from Lowes the very next day.

I met Cheryl that day, unfortunately it was a holiday weekend and there was not a single item stock in my 30-33” wide restriction range. and she gave me her direct number and told me they were expecting a shipment the next day to call or text her with my name an the fridge i was looking for and she would look at what came in once it was unloaded and let me know. The shipment did not come in the next day but she contacted me back and let me know that and that she had my info down and would continue to loon for me. About 5 days later she contacted me with 3 options and one was perfect.She was outstanding, her customer service was outstanding, and i am so grateful to her for it. Appliances like this can be a large expense and while shopping around a different places I was not met with a single employee at any of the places I looked that had as good of service as she gave me. It made spending that huge chunk of change worth it at the end not just for the refrigerator but also for the quality and customer service I received.

Whatever you do, do not order online from this place. I placed an order Saturday morning for an item that was available in store. I called Saturday afternoon they said I will receive a call that afternoon. Sunday comes I called that morning they mentioned they were getting it prep at the latest a called that afternoon. By the way the customer service by far the worst I have ever experienced. No calls were received. Monday, late afternoon I decided to call again, they ask for my phone number to check the order and put me on hold. Waited for 30 minutes only for the call to drop, not on my end. I was at my house the whole time. Called back and cancelled the order. Even though the prices are good, now I know to spend the extra 50-100 bucks for better customer service. Again, this place and company as far as it goes online is trash. If you need something ASAP hope is better in store.

I found a beautiful refrigerator at a phenomenal price and I hope that it will work out well because it will be delivered next week. I cannot rave enough about the excellent customer service that Debbie provided. She was very professional and knowledgeable and made me feel confident with my purchase. She stayed close enough to us to give us her undivided attention but was not overwhelming.

Bought a refurbished Top Loading HE washing machine for a nicely discounted price. I was a little disappointed that the color I had seen on their website wasnt on display there. I asked a salesman about the washer and he told me they only update their website every 48hrs. He did not offer to check his system for the inventory. When I got home; out of curiosity checked their website and started an online purchase of that item...got as far as paying for it and it didnt say the item was no longer in stock! That portion of my visit wasnt appreciated!!

Not super customer service this is not Neiman Marcus, but adequate service. And more than decent prices on appliances. They came through with the delivery. Again not white glove but perfectly acceptable. On time and product acceptable. Mind you I bought a new stove on the day before Thanksgiving and cooked an entire turkey dinner next day. Try them.

They replaced both by the next day and when they didnt have the delivery staff to handle my stairs they gave me a reference to a service that handled it incredibly efficiently and well.

We purchased an oven range online and picked up the following day. Daniel, the warehouse manager was great! He was very professional, helpful, and efficient. A week ago we bought a washer and dryer, paid cash, set the delivery date for 8 days later (soonest available). Paid extra for hook up and all that, we set up delivery with the worker who helped us purchase Will, we let him know we’d like an afternoon time as it’s hard for us to make it work with our work schedules. Today, delivery crew shows up, with our washer but no dryer ? Guess they forgot to mention that since they outsource delivery they can’t guarantee your washer and dryer are delivered together or even on the same day so now potentially it’ll maybe be delivered tomorrow or Saturday ? At this point who knows? Not us! You’re better off purchasing somewhere else where the sales staff are clear about what’s going on with your purchase, especially when you’re spending a pretty large amount.

This place is full of great deals! You can find anywhere from mattresses to washer & dryers at a great outlet price. Wish their customer service was better. The employees are hard to find, went to the register which by the way had one person helping a customer an no one else around. When he finished with the customer I asked if he could help me, he said we had to wait for another employee as he was almost back from break. We waited for this other employee for 20 minutes (yes, the deal was that good) and the same guy that told us to wait ended up helping us. Just wonder why he couldnt help before, all he was doing was walking around the washers &dryers not helping anyone. Glad I dont have to fo here often!

American Freight online is unreliable and misleading. At this time, if you order online, they will cancel your order and you will have to wait for a refund for up to two business weeks. It happened to me after I ordered an appliance that appeared to be in stock, they charged my credit card Only to cancel the order and they just said “sorry but wait for your refund” Terrible experience, bad customer service, don’t recommend at all.

Went in to check out fridges. Came out with a new fridge. They have a nice large selection. If youre on a budget or dont care too much about some dings on your appliances this place is it. They have dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, washing machines, dryers, stoves, and even some ellipticals. They do offer warranties but please always inquire. They can also deliver but for a fee.The customer service was great. They werent overbearing but someone was around to answer questions. They help find what you might want and leave you to it. Steve Uhl was great, personable, and he felt like part of the family helping us out. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The checkout was fast and painless with some finance options available to you if needed.

If you are in the market for washers, dryers, vents, microwaves and refrigerators that have minor defects that you can overlook for the reduced price, you are lucky!! This is the store for you, while there are other items being sole here, the previously mentioned are the main ones and take around 85% of what is being offered. There are rugs, tool carts, workout equipment, house nick nacks like pillows, bath rugs, pots and pans, but the selection is minimal, better off at another outlet store. Overall its an interesting place to stop at, since the 15% of stuff in here is so off from the main attraction they are usually heavily marked down. So you never know, you may find hidden gems. Staff is always nice and friendly.

I personally had a great experience with the place, its essentially: a warehouse with appliences.They sell just about every appliance and at an extremely discounted price. I for example: got a stove which had about a 2 dent on a non visible part of the stove, which saved me 300 dollars or so. Think about it, you dont even see the sides of a stove when its installed!The staff was friendly and the gentleman at the loading dock was essentially a loading magician when loading a stove into a pickup truck and helped us out a great deal.

I went to the one in San Diego (hour away). I called first and KATHY was of great help with checking on what I was going to purchase and making sure everything was there regarding the cooktop. When I arrived MO, who was very friendly, nice and helpful answered some if the questions I had, I purchased the cooktop along with the warranty and was on my way home.

After looking at prices online I was hopeful that I would find a great deal. When I did find an appliance I was interested in, it took a long time to find help. When I did, the salesman talked me out of the scratch and dent models and directed me to the new models. Even the cheapest scratch and dent models was $100 more that what was online. We found and better brand and model at a home improvement store cheaper.

Confirmed a haul-away service then refused to haul away my washer after I paid. Parent company customer service blamed it on the store and the store blamed it on the parent company. I had to take care of it myself and the vendor refused to refund the delivery and haul-away fee I paid.

I came in with a refrigerator that had been running pretty loudly for a few weeks- we had purchased the fridge from Sears several years back, so I wasn’t sure what they would be able to do. Excellent customer service experience with Scott Wright. I read the reviews but its a matter of going through it yourself. Went in to find a newer stove. Found exactly what we wanted, new model Samsung which was almost 700.00 less than new. deal couldnt be beat. We were attended by Scott Wright whos service was excellent. If you are looking for someone that will help and answer questions look for this gentleman. As stated there were a few scratches and dents and Scott pointed everything out to ensure there were no surprises. He took it a step further and provided the enamel paint to cover the scratches at no extra cost. We found the experience just fine with the extra savings.

Bought a new refrigerator waited the 24-48 hrs before loading with food and 7 days later temperature inside refrigerator is at 56 . Called for service as we purchased the extended warranty plan that we didnt expect to use only 7 days after purchase. Service tech says it would need all new parts to fix problem and would be 2 weeks for parts to arrive, so all and all we might get a working refrigerator at the end but I would just buy new or at least plug in your appliances at the store to assure they work. O and the stores customer service is one star at best.

Terrible!!!!Everything online is falsely advertised. I went today to buy a wall oven, washer, and dryer. Online it says new floor model. It also has a description what new floor model means. It says brand new, without box with minor cosmetic damage. In store the same exact ovens I was looking at, same model number and price was dirty inside and says it was previously returned and tested. It does not say floor model. Once I asked a representative about how the online descriptions were wrong she replied with I know. This place has terrible extended warranty also. My family has many properties that we rent out. And every time we needed them they gave us a 2 week time period to come out. Not even to fix it just to come out and see it. Then it takes another few weeks for them to fix an appliance. This place keeps disappointing me and Im finally over it. Ive spent lots of money here and regret not paying full price at Costco or somewhere more reliable.

Super great service

Prices are great (got a $1700 unit for $800) but to be honest Ive had nothing but headaches with the stove/oven I bought there. Outwardly it only had a small dent on the side but functionally it has never worked right. Theres no good way of knowing how items end up here or what kind of damage they sustained before they got here. Basically the internals of my unit were bent up worse than I could tell on the outside and it wasnt initially apparent (incorrect temperature control, bent convection fan, etc). I just dont recommend people buy here anymore. For all you know, the item fell off a forklift and looks fine but really isnt. Repairs will end up costing me any amount I may have saved. And yes it was initially in warranty but there were features we didnt know were broken until the warranty period ended because we hadnt needed them up to that point. We also didnt notice the temperature was unreliable for a very long time and by then it was too late to do anything about it.

This my friends, is one of the best kept home improvement secrets in San Diego. If you take your time and look around, you will find some amazingly priced household gems.
