This place rocks everything you could possibly want for fishing. A huge selection of fishing pole making supplies. I bought a very nice lobster net and kit. I also bought fishing license and lobster card. The people working here had some serious customer service skills. They were kind, helpful and I didnt have to wait. Which was amazing because this place was busy. Also I want to point out when trying to find the place if you blink you can miss it. It looks small from outside but has a huge selection.

Took an old rod to get new guides and they went above and beyond fully restoring it including the old wood handles. I was very impressed and shocked. It was like a whole new rod. Wish I had before pictures to demonstrate the difference.

These people know customer service. You cant be in this store long without being greeted. They might just say they will be with you shortly. But they usually find out what you are looking for and head you in the right direction until they can get to you. There is always a crowd, but somehow they really seem to get people taken care of quickly, without making you feel rushed. If you have questions about anything fishing related, these people have the answers.

Been hanging with friends fishing the bay, and I finally wanted my own set up. Boy am I happy I went here. I walked in and Ryan greeted me right away, asked if I had any questions and boy did I. I must had asked over 100 questions and this guy seemed to actually enjoy answering every question I had. He didn’t try to sell me on anything either, just answered all my questions in patient detail, he even walked through the shop showing me examples. After almost an hour of questions I purchased a pole and a reel and couldn’t had felt better about it. This guy Ryan then asked me if I needed advice on lures or bait, and told me to bring in my tackle box. No joke, he actually took the time to go through all the stuff I had and explain to me the pros and cons of each piece. Of course I bought a few lures after that lol. By far the BEST customer service I could had ever asked for, above and beyond, no doubt. Squidco is lucky to have guys like this in their shop.

I dropped my reel off in October 2020 and still have heard no word about it (now April 2021). So when they say a reel could take 2 weeks to 3 months.. expect at least 8 months, possibly more..

This is home of all great fisherman, the only thing they need is a wall of fame, there staff is pretty knowledgable and they have a wide variety. They are quick in their service and try to get you in and out quick. I been a customer for 10 years now and have only good things to say. But im due to come back for my Red Jig. Great place for beginners and the main spot for the pros.

Super impressed with this store. I came in today after a fishing tournament with a friend. They were very welcoming, they offered lots of help, and they knew their stuff. I was also surprised that they would give out free drinks. I thought that was pretty damn cool. They have a large variety of fishing rods, Line, bait and more. I would definitely be returning, and recommend this place to others

I prefer this place locally more than other shops. I prefer quick trips and am able to get in and out rather quickly. I got hear for rod wrapping supplies as they have most of what is needed as far as components and supplies. They have a decent selection of surface irons and a nice price guide for available reels. There is a fair rod selection to get you on the water same day. The people there are knowledgeable and can answer just about any questions you may have. Very helpful staff.

Great shop, first time that we stepped into the shop we were treated as if we were regulars! They take customer service very seriously here and give the best service out of any store front by far! Everyone I recommend here have had nothing but positive experiences and if your new to the hobby they have a lot of patience and knowledge to help get you started and they won’t take advantage of you by trying to up sell you on unnecessary tackle! They will set you up within beginner gear and let you move up as needed or wanted.

I went here because I wanted to go lobster fishing. I have no experience with lobster fishing. The young guy who helped me was very helpful. He explained how to fill in the lobster card, recommended the bait to use, and which net. I will be going back for any future fishing needs. Im sorry I dont remember the guys name .

Kept social distancing in place. Even though the store was busy. Went in for 1 year Mexican fishing license and they beat everyones online price from $60 + to only $55 out the door. And they didnt mess around either, got in ... got out in no time flat. Most excellent work gentlemen ... BRAVO .!.!.!

Drove in from Tucson Az and was needing bait and supplies .. GPS had a issue finding them but they are right there on the main street . PARKING NOT GOOD very small lot but find a spot its worth it . Selection is GREAT and the SERVICE is the BEST ! Tiny store and not a inch of space wasted they are packed full of all things fishing . I found my new 1st stop for all fishing supplies. This place is a great store with a family feel and all fishing is supposed to be family. I WILL BE BACK

When i walked in on a hot day, i was offer water and soda without purchasing anything. I declined and bought a crab net and a lobster card. I would say they do have wonderful customer service.

The very best mom and pop fishing shop in San Diego, still run by a family, great service, awesome selection, lowest prices in town. The place is kinda hidden, right next to some shipping containers, so your have to know what to look for and how to get there, but once you do, its worth it. The one thing I can complain about is that theyre closed Sundays. Otherwise its always a pleasure going there. oh and they have frozen bait too.

Wow what a shop. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I went in the a $50 budget for a trout rod, I was shown a $150 option. The salesman talked me down to at $15 rod that met my needs perfectly. I ended up picking up some line and lures. Its a little tight and very busy (for a reason). But worth the 30 minute drive.
