My gf recommended them, as they helped her with a used bike that she purchased on Offer Up. I went there after visiting another shop and spoke with Kevin. He happened to have time to help me immediately....threw my bike up on the rack, and looked it over so I could assess whether it needed a tune up and if it was worth to fix. He gave me very practical, but thorough answers, checked the air in the tires and lubed the chain for free, and quickly installed a new (inexpensive) component that I purchased, so I could ride it out of the shop right away. There was no pressure for additional goods/services and the prices were very reasonable for what I got. He was very friendly and Ill definitely return there based on my first experience. Thanks!

Absolutely fantastic place to take your bike, their service stuff is super friendly. I walked in with a question and walked out with everything I needed to fix my bike. The people who work at the store are very knowledgeable and excited to help. This shop has a great friendly feel to it. I’ve taken my bike here a few times to address minor issues. Maybe it’s just been slow but they’ve always gotten to it really quickly and at a very reasonable cost. I’ll definitely be taking my bikes here in the future for whatever work needs to be done.

The selection of bikes available to purchase is smaller however they are probably the bikes you should be looking at. They always do their best to get you in and fixed up as quick as possible. Absolutely fantastic service. I always bring my skis here for waxing, and they recently did a new binding install. Extremely professional and committed customer service. I wouldnt dare go anywhere else.

I went on a ride and popped my tube. Luckily, these guys weren’t too far away from me...They set me up with a patch kit but the hole ended up being too big for the job, and so, I went with a new tube for a great price. Furthermore, I didn’t have my wallet with me so they gave me their complete trust to come back and pay for what I received. Great people, great local shop. Definitely my new go-to and will happily support these guys. Be sure to check them out!!

Every time I come in these guys are always working hard on something. More importantly these gents stop what they are working on to help you no matter what! They are knowledgeable and concise. Im glad I feel comfortable coming back because I do dumb stuff to my bike and they fix it with bike swag. Those guys at Stubborn Goat definitely have my vote!

Your friendly neighborhood bicycle store. From the first visit I knew I’d found my people. Sam the proprietor is a good guy. His wife and mother may know different but for our purposes he’s heaven sent. Sam likes bikes and he likes people who like bikes. That’s a pretty good recipe for success. If this store was fictional it’d be in a place like South Park and it’d be owned by Sam. But lucky for us it’s flesh and bone and right here in our very own South Park and as far as I can tell Sam is not a robot or hologram or part of an elaborate deep state program that’s doing nefarious things we haven’t figured out yet. Actually I hope he’s a clone and the real Sam is out riding his bike. Oh and I bought a bike here and get my other bikes serviced here. Go see Sam.

Gone in a few times and always solid customer service. My cousins say the same thing and actaully gave me the recommendation. Easy parking behind in the alley. (Overflow parking in the jack in the box lot. Dont recommend if you plan on staying long) Easy to miss if youre not looking for it, but worth checking out.

Superb repair (core shot) on my Capita Charlie Slasher Snowboard. They also tuned and waxed my board. Best wax job ever. I don’t know what kind of wax they use but it was super fast all season. The tuning on my board was as sharp as a knife in steep hard pack conditions at SNOWBIRD. These guys will wax and tune all my boards from now on. A++

They were able to get my ski bindings mounted and my new skis waxed the same day I called, which was a huge lifesaver given I was trying to go skiing the next day. Would definitely come here again for anything else I need that’s ski-related!

This past weekend was my first time visiting SGBS. They changed out both of my bikes inner tubes on the same day for about $23 total. What I was most impressed with was their customer service. Even when swamped, I noticed how they greeted every customer who came into the shop including a young 10 y/o boy who came in alone. Everyone was acknowledged and treated respectfully which I greatly admired. I will definitely come back to SGBS for any of my bike needs. I am unsure whether they have a designated parking lot but there is plenty of residential parking around although you make have to cross a short (but busy) intersection.

My first time going in, I knew I was in the right place for all of my bike needs. Sam is a very honest man. What service I thought I needed, Sam said, “to be honest, this will be simple. You don’t need to spend extra money.” WOW... it’s very rare to find an honest business these days.

These guys were really helpful. I even broke a bell installing it and they gave me a new one for free.

The Stubborn Goat was great! Helpful hint, theres parking in the back! This made it much easier to get in and out of the place as parking on the front street is very difficult. Gentleman running the shop was able to grab everything I needed in just a mirror minute. I had bought a used mountain bike for my girlfriend and neutral place lots of components. Within 5 minutes I was done checked out and on my way! He even gave me some helpful hints about installation. Great job I highly recommend it... Not a hipster fixie Shop. This is a real bike shop...

I cannot speak highly enough of Sam and the service he gives. I wish there was a 6 star option. His workmanship is fantastic, nothing is ever too difficult, he charges really fair prices and is also a really nice guy. Dont go anywhere else in San Diego.

I’ve used this bike shop a couple of times for repairs/maintenance on my tri bike and road bike. The owner is super helpful, knowledgeable and meticulous in his work. It’s so terrific to have a local bike shop where the work is top notch.
