We had a great time kayaking and paddle boarding out on the water today. Discos Paddle Surf was awesome. The guy that helped us was very kind and patient. The day was beautiful and what could go wrong with beautiful harbor views? Well be back to try the hydrobikes!!

We had such a blast yesterday!! We were a walk in and were able to get the single and tandem bikes. The owner is knowledgeable, genuine and sweet! We will definitely be back!!

Great owner and great business. Definitely recommend this location for your Stand Up Paddleboard needs. Good equipment for beginners and lots of cool swag inside. Great location for paddling as you can meander within the marina or take it up a notch and head out into the bay wherein you can watch all kinds of maritime and aviation-related activity taking place. After burning some calories and working up an appetite I highly recommend grabbing some beer and pizza right next door at Pizza Novas. The garlic bread knots are excellent!

Absolutely amazing customer service and an amazing experience!!! we saw fish and even a sea lion on our adventure! The equipment was clean and safe. I could not have asked for a better time.

I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a performance SUP for surfing. Great little shop with everything you need and the Owner is very knowledgeable.My review is based on a last minute rental for a surf trip to SD. My own board didn’t make the flight due to logistical issues :(Also, all the equipment was in great shape. Not the normal beat up stuff you will find at other rental spots.

Really enjoyed my experience with Discos. It is very affordable! Great location as well, I loved the overall vibe of the people running the place. Very dog friendly too which is always a plus. However they do not supply doggie life vests so make sure to bring your own! This places rocks my boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back & this place will more than likely be our go to kayak rental. You really can’t beat the price!

San Diego is a beautiful and exciting place to stand up paddleboard. The equipment handles the chop well...very stable. I was delighted to see a sea lion near me! Bailey was very helpful and friendly.

We rented two tandem kayaks to paddle out for the Chicago concert at Humphreys - totally perfect for what we needed. Just a few minutes drive from Discos to Humphreys, so super convenient. We picked up the kayaks at 4:30pm before the concert & Erics employee helped us load the kayaks onto our car. We returned them the following morning.

This is the best shop for paddle boards and high-performance SUPs In my opinion The owner and his employees are Super accommodating and trust them 100% with their opinion they know what they’re doing. they will always make sure you’re on the right board for your size and weight. they have an amazing variety of rentals on top of everything else. My daughter googled and found this place. We have never done any kind of water activities out of fear. I cannot say enough about the gentleman who assisted us once we arrived. I wish I could recall his name but I think hes the owner. He was so kind and sweet to us. He was extremely patient with us as well. My kids had an absolute blast. The experience would mean nothing if it wasnt for the warm hospitality we received while there, that is what will bring us back! Thanks so much for your awesome customer service. We felt more like family than customers!

They are a small shop, but in a great location! For being such a small location, they were surprisingly fast and not too busy. We rented for two hours, and after we got on the water we were amazed by the views!! I wish I could have brought my phone out for photos, because it was well worth it. You can see the whole downtown and airport, not to mention the sea lions that swim right up next to you.One of the nicest paddle boarding experiences I’ve had. The staff was super helpful for our new to kayaking/SUP riders.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to do your water sports.

My friend, her three sons, and I went out for a lovely kayaking trip early on a weekday morning this week. The owner, Eric, opened on time and had everything ready for our trip. He also patiently explained how to get in the kayaks safely and techniques for moving in different directions. The equipment (kayaks, oars, and life jackets) were top notch and well maintained. This is an outstanding San Diego-owned business that everyone should support. My friend and I will be returning soon and we have already recommended this to friends and family. Great Customer Service! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The online booking and payment process was very simple. Upon arrival, the staff had our information/reservation and gear ready for us. We signed our waiver and were on our way to kayaking around the beautiful harbor. OEX was also meticulous about cleanliness and disinfecting which is an added bonus! They have a great location right in the Point Loma harbor. Rent a kayak or SUP from OEX then enjoy a bay side lunch afterward along the harbor. Great local business....highly recommend!

I have been to OEX twice in the last month. The first time we rented paddle boards, the second we rented the hydro bikes.The customer service is awesome, very helpful, very quick. They are abiding by all Covid-19 rules and it felt very safe.This was a wonderful way to spend time with a friend, remain physically distant, while enjoying the beautiful San Diego sights.I will definitely be back, and they truly have my highest recommendation!Also, if you are comfortable on a paddle board or kayak, but you have a friend/loved one who is not, the hydro bike is very stable and easy to ride.

Wonderful staff. They really want you to have a good experience. They make it easy and fast to get you going. With the pandemic they were all wearing masks and made sure anyone who entered or worked with them were too- appreciated that. Super nice staff, highly recommend!

I rented double kayaks with some friends over the weekend and we had a wonderful time! It was perfect weather, the kayaks were in great condition and extremely comfortable- over a super simple process.We can’t wait to come back and rent the water bikes!

I rented two single kayaks for two hours. I spent 90 minutes or so, on the water. You can see downtown off in the distance, and can explore the Point Loma docks here. Its beautiful and a lot of fun. Good exercise too.

Easy. I made a reservation on line. I showed up a few minutes early, and the board was ready to go. Free parking for 2 hours is available nearby.

Hooked me up with high performance board, and pointed me in direction of waves, all good vibes!

It was our first time ever, and the Guys at OEX calmed us w their laid back attitudes ended up being a great experience. Already lookin foward to going back in a couple weeks.

Very friendly staff, great starting point to explore the harbor. We went down the channel adjacent to liberty station, which took about two hours. If youre lucky you can see dolphins and seals being trained. Pretty neat way to spend a couple of hours.

This place has great customer service. In fact, the owner is typically manning the register, so if you have any questions, complaints or comments-- you can get an immediate reply.OEX PL is just a short walking distance from the boats near Shelter Island. Its a great location for taking things slow on a kayak or SUP. Gets a bit windy in this area so I dont recommend taking your kayak across the channel to Coronado.. its one hell of a workout!There is a friendly seal that lives right in the dock area, so if you rent from OEX keep your eyes peeled for our aquatic friend!

1/3/15Our trip to San Diego to celebrate my birthday last September wouldnt have been complete without participating in some sort of water activity. OEX Point Loma made this possible with the rental of four paddleboards for $88.00. We didnt use them for the full amount of time we had them available to us, mostly because it was a little windy on this particular September day, so paddling through the harbor took a lot of effort.The rental process and getting in/out of the water was very easy and we had fun maneuvering through the boats parked around us. It was very safe and so much fun - it was my first paddleboard experience and I love it - lots of fun and Id definitely rent from these guys again!

Friendly, quick service. Just wanted to rent a SUP for an hour or so, and they had me in the water in about 5 min from walking in the door. Recommended.
