We have been tenants at Sunroad for around 30 years. Jim Behun was a great Manager of the Marina. The Marina is well kept up, the staff is friendly and helpful. Sunroad is probably one of the better facilities For Yacht owners around San Diego. We trust the new ownership will continue in the same vein as Jim provided for the tenants during his Tenure. Hoping for the best, preparing for the............??

Nothing crazy. Went for a boat tour. Dont know much about marinas, but seemed standard and nice. Seemed like every boat that had a proper parking spot was given a pretty large lockable chest at their spot. Idk. Paid parking though.

We are long-time residents of Sunroad, located at the East end of Harbor Island, with breathtaking views of the downtown San Diego skyline. General Manager Jim Behun runs a first-class operation, with immaculate, well-maintained docks and facilities and beautifully landscaped grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful. It home to the winter San Diego Sunroad Boat Show, which just ended. Harbor Island is warmer than Shelter Island and isnt as breezy, making it easier to bring a boat into the docks without the strong offshore winds. The location across from the airport is extremely convenient. Nearby are two restaurants, Island Prime/ C-Level Lounge, with outdoor dining, which caters to both locals and tourists, and the newer Coasters, which emphasizes large parties.

It was a great experience with the exception of shower and restroom

Very friendly and helpful staff. Never have any problem when going to the Sunroad Reaort Marina.

We had our business get-together party and rented a place near the swimming pool. There was no electricity, no wifi. They told us electricity will resume at 2:30. I left the party at past 5, still no electricity. Whole day none!

Had a great Sail Boat Cruise outta this Marina!!

We spent the day sailing, had a blast.

Cleaned a ⛵ boat for someone it was a beautiful place to visit I saw baby stingrays swimming and 🐟 fish swimming close to the boats first time seeing them so close up and free enjoying their swim past me will go back again just to see the sea life being free in the waters enjoyed it very much so calming to see it all!!!!

I was actually walking along side of the walkway at Harbor Island. It was amazing and peaceful. I most definitely will go back again.

This is one of the best locations in San Diego for Golden Hour and photography of the San Diego skyline. Harbor Island is also right next to the airport and only a mile off the Pacific Coast Highway. Located at the end of the island are two top-tier restaurants- Island Prime and Coasteria. Watch the US Navy flying Navy SEALs from North Island while catching and amazing glow from the city as the sun bounces off the skyline.

Good facilities. Good security. Water pressure and heat in mens showers was not ideal but manageable. Nice pool and lounge area. Good storage lockers. Nice patrons.

The dock master Josh will follow you into the WOMANS restroom if HE feels your SERVICE ANIMAL is not up to his standards. This place has no regulation of its authority and Jim the marina manager turns a blind eye to these happenings. After spending thousands of dollars on slip fees you would think a place like this would have some decency for its customers. Also, in-hailing jet fuel residue and cleaning it off my yacht is a health issue they should address.

The restrooms could have done with a few more amenities like shampoo. All in all the experience was amazing and we would totally do it again.

Have had a great experience there previously and recently returned my sailboat there after moving it back from the Midwest. The marina has a private gated access, a pool, Jacuzzi, grilling and kitchen facilities, work out room, laundry rooms and very clean bathrooms/showers makes this marina essentially a resort for boaters. Its location near the airport as well as some of the best restaurants in San Diego make it ideal for those coming in for a visit to their boat. The provision of brokerages for sailboats and powerboats, and access to subcontractors, makes this marina a boaters paradise for getting things done as well.

Not open to the public. Great place to keep your boat. No public transport access. close to the airport runways and the railway sidings.

We looked at all the marinas in San Diego, and this was our 1st choice. All the other Marinas were either too busy with tourists or other rental activity or were not very friendly. Sunroad is very well maintained, boat owners take pride in their boats and the staff at the Marina are very easy to work with. Jim has made us feel welcome and we appreciate that! We have been in the Marina about 6 months and are very happy.

Visited the boat show. Worth the 13dollar entrance fee I recommend sunscreen and slip on shoes. Lots of boats to visit

Beautiful Marina on wonderful Harbor Island in San Diego. Always very clean, both the grounds and the on dockside pool.

As multi-decade boaters, my wife Carol and I carefully evaluated most marinas in S.D. before trucking our 38 Sea Ray to Sunroad Marina in 08. I have made plenty of miscalculations in my time...but this decision was perfect!The marina is expertly managed by Jim Behune. He is an instantly likeable person who is warm and welcoming! A mans man. A long time boater who has intimate knowledge of everything that relates to improving a boaters experience in San Diego. Most dockmasters are just pushing paper and balance sheets around their desk. Jims passion is making you part of the Sunroad family. He has several marina member parties at their renovated (beautiful) pool during the year. The pool area includes brand new bathroom with showers, brand new gas grills, a big screen tv, plus a refrigerator and sink to host your own party!The docks are wide, clutter free concrete. They even power spray the docks, keeping them clean and perfect.All this administered with a friendly staff.This is the only marina on Harbor Island that faces downtown San Diego. Although by car its a short ride to the other side of Harbor Island, it adds a lot of time getting your boat to the downtown area.The views of downtown and moonrise are incomparable to Sunroad.We docked our boat at Sunroad for 8 years. There are many boaters there for 15-20 years. After you examine your marina choices...I can not imagine why you would choose another marina.Carol and Eric JahnScottsdale, Arizona.

If you are a DISABLED AMERICAN youll want to avoid this place. The genetal manager Jim refuses to return calls refering you back to the most arrogannt person on the planet named Adam Veves who finds it funny to move a disabled person to the farthest slip in the farthest dock while Im gone as well as go inside and go through my personal belongings...I thought I was in the USA where the Constitution and Bill
