Very nice store with a fantastic selection of Christmas ornaments and decorations. We went with younger kids, which ended up fine, but beware that there are multiple signs stating their you break it, you buy it policy. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but many of their pieces are either unique or limited editions, so I can understand why. I will probably be back, but only for their specialty selections.

Beautiful, great for anything you just HAVE to have but cant get anywhere else. Be prepared to pay 2 or 3 times wal mart prices but for hard to find items its worth it.

Fantastic store with everything you need - except customer service. I bought two boxes of C7 lights and when I got home 4 were dead already. When I brought them back the next day they said sorry, you will have to buy another box if you want more. I wont be going back. Also, they had at least six people running around filling online orders or stocking merchandise and one person at the checkout - with a line of 10 people waiting.

Great selection on higher end artificial trees. Mike was very helpful in selecting the right tree for us. The cashier is rather slow and a line can develop when it is busy.

Fun place to go. I usually go with my gma once a year before Christmas. Tons of ornament choices. A bit pricey, but its cool to look at all the decorations. They even have a Halloween section.

Same ol same ol. Nothing new here in the stock of Christmas lights or decor in the past three years Ive shopped there.This place needs an inventory overhaul! A lot of the merchandise looks like its been there for longer than that! Prices are high and their coupon deals are small. Just a one time 10% before Christmas and only 20% after. There are modern Christmas lights at home improvement stores than here. Still fun to see the display of Dept.56 villages.

The stores is full of wonderful christmas ornaments and figurines with great detail on most of the figures. Even has a Halloween section in the back with nick nacks and ornaments. Great looking products but really pricy, a small figurine on average was about $40. Bigger ones i saw up to hundreds of dollars

It was nice, I guess I was expecting a bit more organized areas, organized trees. Abit more like canterbury gardens was. Better ornaments, lower pricing. Abit surprised how high their pricing was. My favorite waa their town set up just highly priced.

I feel like a child again (I am over 60) when I walk through the front door. This is hands down my most favorite store because it brings back memories of holidays gone by, and I love those memories. It also makes me think of holidays and memories to come with my children and grandchildren.

This place is amazing!! Christmas ornaments paradise. This store blew my mind away. Its not a cheap store to come shopping, but the items are well worth there price. Come by and check it out. Its fun to just even walk around. Enjoyed it with the family.

Great selection and variety of holiday decor but long lines at checkout

It truly is Christmas all year long at City lights! If youve never been to the store, it is a must visit. You simply cannot believe all of the decorations, trees, ornaments, and everything else Christmas that you can imagine all being under one roof, all year long. Its pretty impressive. They have done quite a good job amassing an incredible collection of all things Christmas. You just wouldnt believe it. Makes you wonder how they stay in business the other months of the year! It seems that most of their items are very costly, but they do also have a pretty decent selection of smaller Christmas things for just a few bucks. so I guess there is something for everybody available at City lights.

So many ornaments and fixtures to chose from I was there for 2 hours and couldnt get enough of this store. Simply amazing and unique. Only store San Diego. Best of all was the great customer service I received. Cashier named Lauren was very friendly and knowledgeable. She always answered my questions in a very positive attitude and never seemed bothered. Overall great store.

Although their stuff is nice, the prices are over the top. I will never step foot back in that place, I was followed the entire time I was there. I was there to shop not be followed, they lost a sell that day and anytime thereafter. It was my plan to go there every payday until Christmas to get stuff for my tree. I found some bubble lights I had been looking for and loved them. Not sure why I went back in the fist place, now that I think back they have always followed and was very blunt about it. I will shop on line and go else where, they are not the only Christmas store in the world.

This place is the absolute best Christmas store ever. They have every ornament, decoration, and collectable you could think of. The prices are kind of steep but they offer free personalization with ornament purchase.

City Lights is fantastic, no matter the time of year. First of all, the size of the store from the front entrance is deceptive...the place is HUGE! Every inch of the store is decorated to the max...no matter what you (or special person) collect, you will find amazing decorations for every special occasion imaginable. There are not enough descriptive words to properly review City Lights. I have not been during crunch times (such as Christmas) which I imagine are packed with shoppers. Instead, I like going during quieter times, during the week, with an employee to show you all the special rooms which typically are not open to explore without a staff person to turn on the lighting, put moving displays in action, and answer questions. I would allow myself plenty of time to ooh and awww the whole place. I cant think of anyone I know who wouldnt enjoy a trip to City Lights.First of all, the size of the store is huge, with various rooms dedicated to special occasions around the year.

5 employees smoking within 15 feet of the front door when we got there. Couldnt enter without walking through their smoke.Lots of cool stuff but since there are employees everywhere, the place smells like smoke inside too. Ugh!

The staff was very helpful, and showed me some of the stores attractions without trying to sell me anything. They have a very impressive supply of indoor and outdoor decorations. I will definitely be going back.

City Lights is THE best place to go for not only Christmas but all kinds of decorations. Brian, the owner, is knowledgeable, efficient, and knows his product. If Brian doesnt know about it, it doesnt exist in the decoration world.

Awesome place for getting decorating ideas. When I shop local specialty stores like this, I usually come in expecting much higher prices, but I have to say the prices seemed reasonable.Ive recently been into light show style lights and found that this place does not really deal with that. I was after some special plugs that a lot of people use to make custom extension cords, but they did not carry these.Despite that, the staff was very helpful, and they had several open registers the line go as fast as possible.

Lots of Christmas decorations! Centered mostly around holiday village type items as well as higher end Knick knacks for display. They do have a nice selection of artificial trees and lighting.

Its Christmas in December and its Christmas in July at this store. Theyve got everything you could want: ornaments, village pieces, all sorts of count down calendars, snow globes, the list goes on. On top of all that the place is enormous and when we went in May, they even had a dedicated Halloween display. If youre looking for your specific Christmas need, stop looking, its here.

My first time at the store, awesome! Brandy and Etti helped me and they were EXCELLENT. Not only were they friendly and helpful and sincere, they knew the store and product like the back of their hand. Only negative was the cashier, not friendly or welcoming.

If your looking for Christmas and/or holiday decorations this is your place. City lights has a beautiful collection. It may be a little pricey on SOME of the ornaments but I found smaller glass painted ornaments for around 3 to 5 dollars.

Best place to get THE special Christmas ornament, lights, elves, outdoor decorations and anything for the Yule Season. And they are open year round. Be sure to support them. Screw internet vendors and keep City Lights blazing.

Pretty expensive. Okay selection. Extremely disappointed that they didn’t have any Krampus stuff. The employees didn’t even know what I was talking about. You’ve got naked Santa on a surfboard and WWE wrestler ornaments and all kinds of crazy random things but no Krampus. Very sad indeed.

Ordered online Sunday and came in today. Everything was in great condition and loved that they carried retired Department 56 items still, will order again!

City Lights is one of the largest Christmas stores I have ever been in. I love Santas and they have anything you can imagine. Only problem its in San Diego, but they are online.

I have talked to the folks in the tree department and they were somewhatHelpful, and I watched at least 4 u tube videosAnd purchased a Light Keeper Pro at Home Depot and that worked on a few bulbs but unless you really know electrical, stuff and I do not I was stumped. I asked for the owner of the store to call me, but that was yesterday, I know they are busy this time of year. But whenYou spend over $500. For a tree I expected toLast longer than 7yrs. Its overblown. Its what you expect - Christmas decorations, inflated prices, grumpy staff, crowded parking lot. Parking is a problem, as there is a very nice Craft Brew next door, which can make the trip worth it if you come down!
