S3 is a really cool spot in Mission Gorge, tucked right next to Taco Fiesta. The interior of the building is beautiful. The decorations, layout, and atmosphere are all really on point.The staff is super friendly as well. As for the coffee, it’s great. I’ve only had decaf americano here so far, but it was good. Not overly bitter, acidic, or watery. They have a huge selection of coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.Definitely a worthwhile spot to hang out, cool down, or stop in for a quick pick-me-up.

Normally I order mocha but due to warm weather I decided to go with an ice tea. London Fog latte is a milky early grey tea with lavender and vanilla. The very first sip blew my mind. Floral, sweet, reminded me of my childhood. I bet it has more than enough sugar content, I wish we had sweetener options. The overall decor and vibe of the place is great. I want to try their Mexican mocha next.

This place is honestly one of the most comfortable and enjoyable coffee bars I’ve ever been to. The decor is amazing. The drinks are great. I especially Love Ursula’s revenge or Chunky Monkey smoothie. They have a great online presence. The workers are so nice too.

What a cute coffee shop. Great for study and meetings. The acai bowl was absolutely delish! Had the iced honey rose latte...not good. The rose syrup was overdone. I couldnt finish my drink. I would go back and try something else.

On a whim, I thought I would try something Ive never had before. I ordered the Chia seed pudding, with fruit, and honey. It was SO GOOD! It may change my life. Its made with coconut milk, and is just a perfect blend of sweet, tart fruit, and honey. Filled me up, and satisfied. I got a small cold brew with almond milk. Delicious! This place is adorable and has great coffee! Decent prices for what they are serving and they were pretty quick even with a long line. They recently moved to a bigger location and the inside is awesome. The coffee was really good and I look forward to coming back to try more coffee and good one day! Some of the pricing was incorrect on the menu vs the computer so be careful to check - they were nice about refunding me and adjusting the price to reflect the correct price on the menu.

I have been coming to this coffee shop for years now, love the new place they are at now, wonderful atmosphere and so cute. I drive from El Cajon to come here if I could everyday I would. My kids even love the food and drinks favorites are avocado toast, vegan donuts and iced or hot Lavender London fog tea latte. No one makes drinks like them. I easily crave this place all the time. Thank you for being so different than all the rest of these coffee places. By far no one compares and I have been to quite a few in all areas but this for sure my top spot absolutely love love it here💜 also can not forget there home made almond milk which is delicious.

I came here based on the positive feedback from my pals, and I was not disappointed. Throughout my visit, all of the employees were kind and accommodating. They have a fantastic wi-fi connection, and the music they play is really calm and pleasant. The coffees theyve provided are quite sweet, with the right cookie to go with them. Strongly suggested!

This place is beautiful, takes COVID regulations seriously, and the coffee is worth the money! Definitely recommend coming but just so you know the in store hours are different so I’ve attached a picture :)

Such a hidden gem. These folks are truly artisans and masters of their craft. Not only did they have some of the most visually stunning drinks and latte art, but they are backed up with great flavor. The drinks tasted great. I highly recommend the avocado toast with prosciutto.

It was my first time at this cafe and the space is really cute inside. The small outdoor seating area felt spacious and pleasant.The food was good, the avocado toast is a good snack that doesn’t have too much flavor besides the balsamic vinaigrette which seasons the toast very well. I recommend adding one of the add one if you want to make the toast more filling.I will visit when I’m in the area again because the espresso tastes good!

Great place to work/study. Super cute and aesthetically pleasing. Has good vibes. They’re currently open 8am to 3pm for indoor cafe use. Their drinks and food are great! Recommend mermaid toast and the blue matcha!

This place was so cute inside. I am not sure why the recent photos dont pop right up. I got urselas revenge. Which is a passionfruit lemonade drink that changes colors. I also had the chicken pesto flat bread. I wish I would of slowed down and checked out the food menu closer because it all looks so good. They have a little shopping area when you come in with some adorable key chains. grab your girl bestie or sister and come for a girls lunch or coffee date.

Amazing coffee and even more amazing baristas!! I went there on my birthday to get me a pick me upper on my quarantined bday and just talking to the barista was so nice! I went for the Instagramable drink and toast but fell in love with how awesome they tasted!The drinks are so creative, picturesquely and high quality! I wish there was one closer to my home too. Highly highly recommend!!

If you want some warm milk than I recommend this place. I went for a latte, since it had good ratings, but I couldnt taste the coffee at all, juts paid almost $5 for a cup of want milk.

Had their Pumpkin Spice Latte in an actual small pumpkin. Pretty good for a novelty.

Inside was closed due to covid, but it looked super cute inside. Got the rainbow latte (sub mocha for vanilla), tasted amazing and looked even better. Would have been cuter in the big coffee mug, but they were only doing to-go due to covid. Staff was super nice.

Cute and vibrant place. The avacado toast with prosciutto was really good. The caramel latte was good too. The Vietnamese coffee didnt taste like Vietnamese coffee but for a cold coffee, it tasted good.

We expressed our gratitude to their employees for cheerfully delivering our order. Their red velvet cake and mochaccino are two of my favorites because they are both exactly to my liking.

After a beautiful walk through Balboa Park my roommates and I decided to treat ourselves to this coffee bar. What really sealed the deal was how word on the street is this place has got a color changing lemonade. Look, Im a man who likes to appreciate the little things. A lemonade? That changes colors? Youd be lying to yourself right now if that doesnt sound like a groovy way to cool off after a hot day in a crowded park. So anyway, we get there. Ursulas Revenge I think the beverage was called. Im way too anxious to even attempt to utter a wacky name like that out loud so I get an iced mocha instead and my roommate decides to test the waters with this magical lemonade. Other roommate gets a plain cold brew cause hes going dairy free for June for whatever reason. Who the hell knows. Anyway, we receive our drinks at the counter and my roommate is given a set of instructions that she must follow if this mysterious, sweet concoction is to successfully do what it is meant to do. She has to pour a tube of lemon juice into the bigger cup with the rest on the ingredients, and stir up the stuff resting at the bottom. Easy stuff. A T-rex with polio could do that. So she does it and it changes from dark purple, to slightly lighter purple. Probably because of the lemon juice. Fellas, I wasnt expecting any wild disney magic. But cmon. It was forgivable. Then I take a sip of my iced mocha and holy moly it was as if someone just gave me chocolate milk that was one part milk and three parts syrup. It was unbearably sweet and any relation to coffee this drink probably thought it had is a falsehood conjured up by adoptive parents. It was borderline criminal. After cold brew roommate finished his beverage, which he really liked, he wanted to try my mocha after seeing my reaction. That sip made him squirm too. Plus it ruined his dairy free June but thats my fault for being a dumb dumb. I couldnt finish the rest of my drink and left it in the trash on the way out. Which made me feel bad because the service was excellent and the staff are friendly. The mocha protocol they are ordered to follow must change. Because although the drink was way too sweet, I went home bitter and uncaffeinated.

The latte I ordered was very good. A good quality bean with a good caffeine. I have been trying a lot of coffee places in the San Diego area and this is a good place for a coffee and other drinks. I have not had any of the drinks like teas but I hear they are good.

My first time here was very welcoming. The place is very clean inside. Service was fast and staff is very friendly. They have a digital menu. Their prices are not too high. I got the iced power chai latte and Its really good. I also got their tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Omg hands down one of the best tomato soups Ive had in a while. I would definitely go back there and recommend this place to my friends. I would have left a photo but everything was inhaled way too fast lol

Always such friendly service and amazing espresso! Love their creative and unique drinks, one of my favorite spots to do work or have a coffee date with someone. This is the BeeHive Latte (edible gold on a poke stick with honeycomb, honey and cinnamon on their house made almond milk)

This place is fire. We tried the rainbow latte and the honey rose latte, the acai bowl, and chicken pesto melt. The drinks tasted amazing and were crafted to perfection. They looked as good as they tasted! The chicken pesto melt went beyond my expectations and it may be the best one ive had to date. And the acai bowl...... let me just say that the competition is out here in san diego. SD blenders has always been my go too. But S3 truly performs when it comes to their acai bowls, and the next time Im craving acai, I think I will come here instead of SD blenders. It was a really good acai bowl, the type you cant stop eating!

Delicious coffee and AMAZING avocado toast!

S3 has upgraded their digs from a humble spot in a strip mall to this large, beautiful, clean space with drive through. Its decorated so nicely it holds its own with the fancy coffee bars around town and raises the bar for the entire Mission Gorge / Allied Gardens neighborhood and as a resident I really appreciate it.

The best combination! Great tasting drinks and The best customer service! Will definitely come here again.

A bit busy when I went on a late Saturday morning, but the customer service was great and despite a long line I didn’t have to wait long. In addition to great tasting coffee they also have an option of making any latte a rainbow latte that has a beautiful colorful design.

Super cute place! Staff is super nice as well.I will say its a little small with only about 6 tables. Three tables are no laptop tables, so keep that in mind if youre trying to study there.Drinks:Vanilla Latte (Rainbow) - super sweet! I personally like sweet coffee ( Im not a real coffee drinker #poser). So I really enjoyed this one.Rose Honey- also pretty sweet. But I will say the rainbow latte was much tastier for me.Blue Island- flavor is vanilla and it tastes pretty strong. Again Im not a heavy coffee drinker so my tastebuds might be skewed.Overall the place is adorable, but a little small. Everything is so cutely decorated. I will be coming back to try the other drinks!

I found this place thru my instagram. I was hooked instantly because of the pictures. Everything looked so colorful and the place so cute. It is 20 minutes away from where I live but Im glad I came to check it out. All the drinks we ordered were delicious and the kids loved their chai lattes. I cant visit this place as much was I wish, but for sure well come back

It’s the cutest, with the brightest layered drinks. They also serve traditional classic coffees and espressos, so there is something for everyone! They have a nice, clean aesthetic, natural sunlight with window seating for a cheery pick-me-up (and for perfect photos), and everyone is friendly! I love the Rainbow Latte, which is a vanilla latte with a colorful top design, and the Hibiscus KISS is a summer drink.
