I discovered this gem while on a date. I would have never known what I was missing. Im so used to what I know. So heres the deal, I LOVE this place, it is 1,000 percent delicious! Fall is upon us and this is the best place to get a comforting bowl of soup!!! You can order the different proteins and veggies that you want in your soup which is cooked in your personal heater at your table. I love the shrimp w steak and veggies. The potstickers are a great size and great for sharing! I have never experienced flavors like this!πStaff is friendly and attentiveππΌ Visit MHP you wont be disappointed.ππ²π₯£
Amazing food choices and great prices. Had a great time here! Will definitely come back again.
Great food, clean restaurant, nice servers. Had to flag down servers once food was given but other than that everything else was good.
The broths are both flavorful and the meat are fresh. Great selections. Great meal!
Wonderful experience. The two different broths are a wonderful way to cook a whole variety of vegetables meats and other items. I love the mushroom basket that you can order.
The staff is so kind & hardworking and the food is delicious! Itβs definitely an experience!
Quality of the food is amazing, broth is great, and great service! Definitely coming back soon!!
Its Dennys, what do I expect. There werent many customers. I got seated and ordered a small meal (coffee and oatmeal]. The waitress only came by once aftrr bringing my food and then did a great job of staying hidden. I normally tip well especially if I take up a lot of time. Not this time...
Very delicious food. I very very like to eat at this restaurant
Friendly and fast staff. Very tasty
It was my first time having hot pot and Im glad it was here. Very friendly staff and delicious food with a large variety of choices. We found the price to be fair with how full we were when we left.
I absolutely love this hot pot chain. The service is always very quick and with decent prices. They have a wide selection of ingredients too. Their soup base is the always the reason why I go. I just the love the distinctive flavor of their hot pot.
This place is great. Only downside is the usual wait.
Good old taste for this chain hot pot joint!Delicious food and friendly staff. They have pork blood rice cake, pork intestine, and all assorted Taiwanese hot pot dishes as well as Chinese ones. They also have happy hour for beer lovers! The angus beef are also delicious for the price. A must!Went there later than usual dinner time and was the last table...I think they have earlier closing hours. However, the last time I went there before state ordered to close down again. They definitely followed the protocols for safety distancing, customers apart, sauces and condiments will be brought to you by request. Which I felt much safer than those outdoor dine-in nowadays...Would definitely visit more when it all dies down.
Visiting every time I get to US. Extremely tasty, a lot of variations to pick from.Fellow meat-eaters, I really recommend you the vegetarian broth if you are fine with mushrooms. Cooking meat in it is better than anything my animal-protein-obsessed soul ever desired.
Delicious and fun, but is a little more expensive than I would like. We paid $55 for two people.
This place was simplistically wonderful. We were served a mild and slightly spicy broth, both were light and flavorful. The menu offered fresh meat, vegetable, and noodle options to add to your boil. The variations to this healthy meal choice are limitless and fun. A meal for two with 4-6 add ins ranges between $20-30 for dinner. Service was average.
Our go to restaurant. The food is amazing! We like to go to the near by boba tea place afterwords.
This place is very nice, the food was great. Would come again!
You have to try this place. Its so good!! The service is excellent and everyone is so nice.
Samsung beyond words. Delicious food, fantastic service, I highly recommend it
One of my favorite places to dine at. Ying has been very accommodating and took very good care of us ever time we visited.
This was the first time I tried Hot pot. This place was great.
Regular meatballs (more bouncy) are better than the house ones (more soft). Soup base wasnt really flavorful. Pork blood wasnt good. Everything else was decent.
Food was really good for what is was worth. Gave you lots of ingredients and all assortments of Side dishes. Drinks were also very good. But I only rate this place 3 stars because they did our orders wrong giving us the wrong ingredients we wanted and also missing ingredients we ordered. They also over priced us on drinks, or their menu is needing an update. Expect to spend a lot!
A perfect way to remember my time in China. I got the mix soup, half spicy and half regular. The spicy could have been a little spicier for me. The waiters were very obliging and brought me out some more spice to add to it. Even with the extra spice I think it could have used more szechuan pepper. In China when you order the spicy soup your mouth numb and tingly. The atmosphere was loud and not very private but I did see the traditional private rooms in the back with the round tables, just like they have in China. All in all it was great and I will definitely be going back.
As a beginner in the world of Mongolian hot pot, I was a bit overwhelmed at first by the options and seemingly endless combinations. I was incredibly nervous that the environment would be unforgiving or unwelcoming to newcomers such as myself. However, the environment was welcoming, friendly, and relaxed. The booths were filled with familys and groups of friends enjoying nice dinners; the restaurant is family friendly. The staff worked quickly and were friendly to customers. The food took a bit longer then I was expecting but overall the wait time was worth it!The menu was fairly big! You choose the meat, noodles, and vegetables from a menu provided to you by the staff. You are given pen and paper and mark down the things you want to order. The whole ordeal seems a bit overwhelming at first but its not as complicated as it seems! Spices and sauces are served at every table. You are given a fairly good variety of hot sauces and such. The food itself was incredible! Warm, hearty, and filling food! I loved this place and would definitely return again!
My experience at this Little Sheep location is far better than any other location Ive been to in the Bay Area. The workers here are nice and treat you as if youre their friend! They have a lunch special which is filling and affordable ($11.95 without tax). The quality of their ingredients is great as well.I wouldnt recommend to get the spicy flavor as it can overpower the flavor of the vegetables and meat with its spiciness.
This place was a really cool fun experience! The menu and ordering is a little confusing but its all fun.Me and my girlfriend went and ordered a lot thinking things were smaller portions but we ended up with food for like 6 haha.Be ready for a lot of soup!3 half ordered of meat should be good enough for 2 people eating.
First time there very impressed the food was good The peach tea was delicious had a beautiful time
Cool experience and the variety of food was nice. Temperature of the restaurant was nice and cool and stayed that way made it very comfortable while eating a nice hot pot
So much fun and great food!
I discovered this place by accident and I was pleasantly surprised by the menu and the amazing soup we made right at our table!!!Plenty of food for 3 people.
Great food and prices π
I love this place, its the best hot pot Ive had in sd.
Waited about 1 hour, not many outdoor seats. Still no indoor service. Food was good.
Staff is so friendly. This place is a must try. Fresh ingredients, cooked to your taste
Feels like their meat isnt very good
Went here for a team lunch and it was delicious! This was my first hot pot experience and I wasnt quite sure what to expect. It was easy to order and the food came quick. We got one regular broth and one half and half with the spicy broth from the lunch special and added some veggies from the regular menu. Bok Choy was a favorite from everyone, and bamboo shoots were the least favorite. We also tried the lychee and mango teas and both were yummy. I cant wait to go back!
Damn good hot pot. Service was quick. All the meats tasted great, and they had a good selection of sides
Iβve been here many times and I love this place I would eat here every day if I could ; outside seating leaves limited amount of tables and you have to get here early to be able to get a table.
Good food!
It was delicious. The meats were really good. The soup base is solid.
This restaurant has the option of two broths, one spicy, to simmer all your choice items. There is a variety of meats, and fun and special vegetables, as well as noodles. You can also have one broth be vegetarian or vegan. Eclectic and delicious food. It can be pricey if you order many items, but they keep bringing you broth for free.
Broth was delicious, both the regular and the spicy. Meat and veggie quality were both very good, and the lunch special was a fantastic value. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars was the service. Employees were friendly enough, but with only a handful of customers in the building, we still had a hard time getting a hold of someone when we needed them.
Absolutely blown away on how good the food was! I will be back here again. Both I and my business partners agreed this was one of the bets meals we have ever had.
Great food
Really good and spicy hotpots !!
Unique place for some authentic Chinese/Mongolian hot pot. Quality of food has been consistent over the years. But I could see a slow adaption to American taste -- meaning the spicy broth base is less spicy hot, and with less other spices.
I ordered to go. It was very good. Glad to see they are open again
Service (kinda seemed like they forgot about us after they took our drink orders) could have made this a 5 star review. Otherwise, everyone was polite and professional. Food was great! Be warned, even half portions are big/plenty! If theres 2 of you, be prepared to take some of the delicious hot pot home with you. Definitely a place for 3 or more people. Great variety of meats/sea food/veggies/noodles/tofu/meat skewers... Again, awesome variety. Also... If you like sweet alcoholic drinks... You gotta try the LYCHEE Sake. Goes down Smooth and tastes great! Definitely coming back when we are in town.
The menu is quite extensive for the options that you can add to the pot. Both broths were pretty good, but nothing special. We stayed late and the wait staff was trying to get us out of the place before closing, with one of the staff playing pretty loud music on his phone right next to us in an attempt to get us to leave.
Excellent food and service. They were very helpful as it was our first time.
Enjoyed the variety of meats they offer! Good Service! We where an 8 person party and still got good service! Happy hour $8 beer pitcher!!
All the food here is served raw so you can cook it at your table in a choice of mild, spicy and mixed broths made with a dozen spices. Lots of thin-sliced meat and vegetable options, as well as tofu. Lunch is about $10! Bring a friend or three. I took my grandfather and watched him flirt with the servers. Good times...
My number one restaurant at all times! Very friendly, super nice food, try their rack of lamb - best I ever had!
Like the soupπ
Little Sheep is good but still not as good as hot pot places in West Covina. Probably the best in San Diego, though. I recommend going with someone who knows what theyre doing the first time. Order conservatively; you can always get more food, but I find its very easy to overestimate how much food youll want and end up with lots of leftovers. I recommend getting 2 meats, vegetarian mushroom broth, squash, and maybe one other vegetable like taro root. For two hungry people, this is on the edge of being too much, but doable. Note that the vegetarian broth is fantastic and, I think, much more flavorful than the house or house spicy broth. Also, turn the heat down after they crank it on. You dont want the broth boiling and spitting all over the table or your fingers as you dip the meat in. Come hungry, and try not to over-order, and youll very likely enjoy the experience.
They have a pretty good lunch deal. For ten dollars, they give you a choice of meat (chicken, beef, etc) and plate of mushrooms, vegetables, and noodles. You cook your own meals in the brooth that they brought to your table. You can choose spicy or non spicy or half and half. I would recommend to go with a bunch of friends as it is more fun. We went there for dinner a few times but I think it is much pricier since each dish can rake up the bill quickly. You get almost the same thing cheaper at lunch for a better price.
The food is so good!
Very dedicated staff, absolutely fresh ingredients and delicious teas.
Interesting experience with the HotPot. Reasonably quick service and good taste but strict vegetarians and vegans beware! Their veggie broth has fish sauce so make sure you ask for hot water instead of veggie broth if you are allergic to fish or vegan or vegetarian. The fish in the veggie broth and the hot water option were both confirmed by the restaurant. Very large serving size so this is good for larger groups (6 or more)
Fun, new experience for us. Food was fresh and delicious. The servers were friendly and responsive. Our only disappointment was that we wish the server would have been a little more proactive in helping familiarize us with this style of food preparation. We plan on going back.
We had a lovely family dinner at Hot pot again. The staff is always so helpful and itβs amazing how they attend to your every need at the very same time that you never notice they came by. Family convention continues on while the staff brings tray after tray of amazing goodness and the young ones keep adding more to the pot every time I turn around. Thanks forThe amazing family memories and dinners l.
