I come here when I need the really hot extract sauce. They keep the good stuff locked up and you have to sign a waiver.For those who want a regular sauce they have so many to choose from. The employees are really helpful if youre not sure what youre looking for. This is a really cool store.

The store is well organized and clean and just an interesting place to visit. The gentleman helping was very friendly and you can tell he knows and loves hot sauce. Highly recommended place to check out. Ghost island was the best sauce, great fruity flavor at the beginning then a nice burn after.

Awesome shop. Had a blast talking to the employees and sharing our love for sauces.Short review on the sauces we got:The Fermented Garlic Hot Sauce is very acidic. Almost like a Vinaigrette. Has a small kick, but Id say about half as hot as table hot sauce (Tapatio, Chaluah, Franks, etc). Not as Garlic-y as Id like, but solid taste. More for chicken in a salad than anything.The Mango Garlic Hickory is VERY smokey. Almost only taste hickory with a bit of sweetness from the mango. Not too hot despite being on the Carolina Reaper shelf. If youve ever had a fresh Habanero, thats about the spice. 3x hotter (?) Than the previously mentioned table sauces. Not a lot of Garlic. Lots of Hickory smoke. Decent, but not if you are looking for extra hot or Garlic sauce.Also got the jar of Mango Salsa Mild. Very tasty and sweet. No heat. Was delicious on fish:)

The clerk double charged me for a purchase. I emailed and called them multiple times about the charge, but they never responded to me after they promised to route me to the main office of Seaport Village. I would be careful around this store.

Im from Texas and consider myself a hot sauce and hot pepper connoisseur. This place is great I was in hear for a good 45 mins just looking and reading all the different options they had available. They had all the sauces from HOT ONES show as well as concentrated drops. I went with a fruit reaper pepper mix which is very tasty. When I go back to San Diego I will be stopping in again. Very knowledgeable staff and willing to assist on making the right choice.

This hot sauce is so good!! Not only do they have an awesome product, but the friendly staff here has customer service like no other! I would definitely recommend getting hot sauces, olive oils, etc. from them!

I have never been to the physical store, but the online ordering experience is outstanding. I found the website easy to navigate and find what I wanted and it was easy to purchase what I needed. More importantly, Hot Licks makes great products. We love their hot sauce, and just tried the habanero butter toffee peanuts which are amazing. They delivered quickly and in packaging that kept everything safe (all the way to Virginia). And one of the staff members reached out personally to check in which I really appreciated.

An A+++ selection of some of the best hot sauces! They have samples of some of them if you want to test your heat tolerance. They also have hot snacks (peanuts, chocolate, beef jerky, etc). Staff is very knowledgeable about the sauces as well. This is no novelty store, its the real deal!!

Hot little store. Well laid out, prices are pretty on par. The guy there was very helpful in helping me pick the hottest of the hot because, why not? Would recommend for all you hot sauce and spicy things.

Carolina reaper beef jerky 🔥 its painfully addicting. This intimate spice shop has an impressive bottle collection but dont forget the snacks! We happily bought beef jerky, ghost pepper peanuts, and sunflower seeds. I love a new spice challenge and the beef jerky really pushes your buttons.Dont be afraid to ask for recommendations either. I wholeheartedly believe theyve tried almost everything they sell.

Wow what a place. Tony was the absolute best. As soon as I walked in we started a conversation. I quite enjoy hot hot sauces but my gf was a bit less confident but wanted to try some more sauces. Tony showed us some sauces he thought we would like. He gave my gf the confidence to try some hot hot sauces. We ended up getting 3 sauces: a jalapeno, a habanero and a reaper hot sauce. We immediately went and got some fries and tried them all out. Tony really picked out the perfect sauces for us. Will be back soon to grab a few more. :)

This place was really neat. They had so many different types of hot sauce. They had a stand set up and you could sample as many as you wanted. If the hot sauce you wanted to sample wasnt out you could request to sample it.The employees were also very knowledgeable and had great recommendations.

An amazing assortment of hot sauces, from the expected to the locally produced. Knowledgeable sales person who could tell me about a ghost pepper sauce that was milder than raw habanero and very flavorful, and steered me away from a sauce sampler that had lots of good flavors but was just not going to be hot enough. Ill make this a regular stop when I am in town.

Went with the hottest sauce Hot licks makes, the XXX.Im really big on super spicy and this stuff made me run for the milk. Love it.

I wanted to buy a bottle for my friend, but the girl working was chatting on the phone and when I looked over to her to see if she was going to help me.. she just turned and walked the other way. Thoroughly disappointed... was going to buy a bottle but after crappy service I walked out. Im sure you guys have grear sauces but the girl was not helpful and quite honestly rude. I had questions but she didnt seem to want to help.

I made sure not to burn my palate, so I delved into the shallow end of the spectrum with the tamer mango habanero olive oil & other similarly situated heat level consumables.Service was good. The female employee answered any questions I had & didnt mind my picture-taking. I was overwhelmed with all the chili goings-on around me. Nifty gifties galore!Parking is at Seaport Village. Validation comes with a $10 minimum at Hot Licks.Hot Licks has the spice game down pat. Need anything hot saucy or hot sauce-related? Definitely come here!
