Love this place. Get all our meats here and the food they sell is pretty good too.
Quick and very good stop for ceviche and tortillas, asking other things.Nice producer area, less $$ than most grocery stores.Hot food/precooked station is a little iffy.Overall a very good, large store and convenient for downtown shoppers. (In Barrio Logan)
Customer service is usually good. Tonight the young lady who rang me up was very rude. Her name was Rosa. Usually the cashiers will ask if you need bags. She didn’t ask. I didn’t have an opportunity to ask for bags as she was quick to scan and shove everything into the far side of the check out area.Another employee saw me struggling to open the bags to bag my items and she kindly offered help. I continued to try to bag my items but everything was out of the order I placed them in. Rosa saw me doing this and she pushed all my items. Squishing my salad bags and bread. Very rude young lady. Made me feel like I was in her way by wanting to bag my items.
Love all the ready to eat food they carry... they just added sushi rolls and they are delicious... one stop to shop eat and drink
Great market hone cook mexcian food bake chicken tamales tacos👍
The fruit always looks good. Better than the other store down the block.
Quality, inexpensive produce, meat department has a variety to choose from, great sale prices. Delicious ready made food to go or eat in or on patio
It was clean and fairly spacious. Good product selection & produce.
Very nice and organized store unfortunately every time I stop in this store they do not have simplex and I have to barrio logan
The store has excellent quality produce and great prices on a large variety of items. The folks are very professional and helpful. Highly recommended.
Keto diet? Get ypurself some aguachile, different flavors.. good protein at a good price.. super bomb!!!
Good place for Mexican hot foods and grocery.
Dont go any more, food was not good and over price, and employees were rude.
Awsome! Not a lot of people at 730pm very clean
I needed bananas.. I got bananas.. mission completed
A great store that my mom likes
Great local market with Awesome fresh tortillas and bulk fresh carnitas by the pound.
If I could give it 0 stars I would! Really unorganized Especially with COVID they only have one door open for people to come in and get out. The staff is really rude and stuck up. I waited in line to get a taco for my daughter and they skipped me twice I got a number and the number 160 on the screen they have 97 and a guy calling it out 54! How does any of this makes scenes? Definitely not going back to this location. Pancho Villa is 100 times better.
The store is clean, neat and well organized. Because of changes in the layout I asked for assistance in locating one thing. It turns out that I had looked around it and walked right by it just a couple minutes earlier though. If It was a snake it would have bitten me!
The best French bread sandwich rolls made fresh everyday.
They open at 7am. Yet they dont have hit coffee, champorado, hot chocolate made to serve for breakfast. People stop before starting their day and look forward in buying this. No one wants to come back or wait for employees to make it. Hello????
System outage . Wasnt let in to shop in 2 different stores . Offered no answers
Love there ready made food there
Fresh fruits and vegetables are very good!!! Nice customee service.
Horrible customer service en la cocina... Will def be shopping somewhere else from now on. Really a shame
They have great stuff but they dont refills their unique items fast enough
Closes at 10 pm but they wouldn’t let me in for a carton of eggs at 9:58pm. Very unprofessional and inconvenient
Great staff, clean store. Everyone seems happy to be there.
Every time i go, is never crowded, i like to go in, shop and get out, this store is my favorite!
Clean store. Got my groceries.. in and out fast. Great bread.
Produce price are higher ( lettuce $2.69 each ) and missing price tags!!
We were able to find Aji paste and other Peruvian ingredients. There is an aisle with Spanish, Argentinian, Caribbean, Peruvian, and central American goods. They also have freshly made tortillas (machine-made, not hand-made). Their mixed nuts taste better than the one in Ralphs. Another thing I saw was salsa bar where you can buy in bulk.
I noticed there prices are extremely high. I would think they would cater more to the Hispanic people with competitive prices since we go to the store because of feeling like back home. That I clearly see, but the high prices will keep me away. My english is great so I can go to other stores where I can communicate freely, but some cannot and feel they have no other choice but to pay these gouged prices. I hope your owners really see this and make some change for the better for us the Hispanic people.Regards,Against higher prices
Been here all my life and it never gets old. Foid there is great and snacks are always yummy.
They have all the stuff that we need
Where the hell is all the shopping carts at ??? I found a dirty one where I can even put my child in. Smh
I have been coming here for the past year to get groceries and all has been good so far... Today I saw they sold Hatch Green Chile cheese Tamales and I was so excited to have them being that Im from New Mexico and havent had the pleasure of eating these in so long. Well, I was disappointed to see that almost the whole tamale was masa. There literly was maybe one bite of chile and cheese. That just turned me off from ordering from their little market again. I bought 6 and all were the same. #Disapointed
Good Mexican food
Order a cake 4 days in advance and they screwed up the order. Had to wait for them to remake it. Stay away from the bakery...
Great good selection of cooked foods and products
My gf likes finding foods from the food court...takeout menudo was expensive!
I dont go to Northgate oftenat 5403 University ave I go to Burlington, Department store, 5405 university ave, 2 department storesConnected together, l like shopping. Men clothes.
Hadnt been there in years. Covid-19 protocols followed. Store interior very clean in all depts. Appreciated the wider aisles disappearing in my local super market of Lemon Grove.Such a vast array of food items.
They always have fresh food and always find anything i need
I love to go get food.
Northgate has everything you need from a grocery store. I get all my meats, fruits and veggies here. I also like getting fresh bread, the bolillos, from the bakery side of the store which are so warm and delicious when it is fresh out of the oven. They also have food you can cook at home along with already made to eat food you can order and take to go. That food is located near where you enter the store. The store attendants speak bith English and Spanish and it is great to see people of all cultures and backgrounds shopping here.
There tamale is very good there
Great Store, Great Products & Prices!! But please fix the holes in the parking lot! My Wife got hurt when she was pushing the cart with our kid! Thx
Always polite and friendly. They did pack a bottle of hot sauce on top of a bag full of cans...when I walked out the bottle fell out and broke. They didnt offer to replace it.
They sell sushi now its not so bad when it looks freshly delivered
Love the product and food there good customer service
Great market especially for all foods Hispanic
I lost 100 dollars which manager and cashier kept I know they kept it they are dishonest and no integrity embarrassed to have a Hispanic chain of stores have such people working there
My wife loves this grocery store.
A very nice market .
I was looking for Jose Quevo Margarita already made & they only sold the kinds that U need 2 make Urself. Bummer, but thank goodness Food 4 Less where I normally get it is right up the road. I was tryna save time & go somewhere closer but in the end I was a satisfied customer.
Good Market to buy regular food products and good prices too.
A great variety of items and at great prices. Something for everyone.
Today was my first day since the end of February.I was super impressed,I grabbed a shopping cart from outside thinking no one is cleaning them went inside the store to be greeter by a worker while she was cleaning the cart she pointed to the hand sanitizer so I can clean my hands.I thought great service, food and prices.Ill be back much sooner next time.
Best place around for produce and meat. They even have products from other Hispanic countries which is a plus!
Not very good looking but good deals and great pan dulce.
First time there. Loved it!!!
Has a large hispanic hispanic selection. They are over priced for any other ingredients. That being said, they do offer quality meats and fresh pastries.
Its clean they sanitize your cart when you go in. They should do it before you touch a cart. Otherwise its safe.
They are better then 43rd Street very polite and not as packed
Clean store.good customer service. Better than el super
Mostly disappointed! The store opens at 7:00 a.m. but everything is still being in the work and they say the deli with the hot food, will not be ready until after 8:30! Hows the store open at 7:00 and nothings ready till an hour and a half later? Very disappointed.
One of my Latin markets, great tamales masa
Make up your mind on what time you close. You have two signs on the door a big visible sign that clearly states 10:30, a smaller sign that says 9:30 but you close at 10? At least thats what the security stated
Great food and fair prices
Great food, Mexican sprouts, lol
Super efficient and courteous.Has everything! Clean and safe.
Prices are much much higher than before and quality of the produce and products are not as good as before. I have found the cheaper grocery stores near by
Go for their tamales- you wont be disappointed.
Good quality produce. A couple employees were rude others were nice...maybe they had a bad day...idk. Overall a good store.
Not happy with the service in the Deli,l ordered Birria sold by the pound, they filled the container with liquid then some meat,so your paying for the liquid.
I like thst store it nice try hsve every thing?? Yiu could be shopping for??
Needs to hold strong, keep to your mission to serve the community you are in, please hold onto to your quality at affordable prices
It too pricey for the area. I shop there for 1 or 2 items because its close. I dont do my big $300 groceries shopping there becausethe items cost too much $.😕P.S. Sometimes what I want has ran out😒.
I went in to get my choices of ground coffee, and it turns out that they do not have a lot of choices of coffee available. I was shocked and had to go further down to Food4Less.
This is my go to market for grocery shopping. I do have a bias as I mainly do Mexican food but the prices for produce and meats are fantastic. Also, they have ready to eat meals and an on site kitchen (currently only to go due to COVID-19 restrictions). They are currently disinfecting your carts as you walk in and provide hand sanitizer to start shopping. Check out is controlled for spacing to respect social distancing.Great market. Great prices and products. Great people. Recommended.
Best service and prices in my neighborhood! They carry THE BEST freshly-made flour tortillas and salsa. We always come here for their incredible produce and authentic Mexican products. Their bakery is also incredible. Everything about this market rules! Highly recommend.
Great market for Hispanic products, but really a great market for anybody
Store looked clean and most produce looked good. Not bad prices either.
Had almost everything 98% I wanted and the lines go fast.
Very expensive the help there seem lost unless a manager is there to interpret. Even rosarita canned refried beans you can get two for their price at other locations
This place is nice but they are just too expensive for me Im sorry to say!
Great market! It not only hasMexican foods but also Central American, Colombian and Spanish products. My wife liked that she was able to find flowers for Día de los muertos.
