Best dealer experience ever! I just picked up a brand new Indian Roadmaster from Indian Motorcycle of San Diego and is was hands down the best dealer experience Ive ever had. Seriously, the entire experience was so well handled it blew me away.Ive owned a lot of motorcycles in my 35 years of riding and have purchased most of them new. Many from dealers in the San Diego / Orange County areas. For my 51st birthday I decided to buy a new Indian Roadmaster. The bike is awesome, but this review is really about the great experience I had picking it up at the dealership.Ive been in the shop a few times since they opened and had a good feel for the vibe already. Extremely clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do. The entire staff really cares about the Indian brand and the San Diego location in particular. They actually make eye contact and talk with customers which is so nice.Angel in sales and Sara in finance were both very professional and made me feel welcome. Buying a new bike is supposed to be a great experience and it truly felt like we were buying the bike together rather than them selling it to me. Honestly they were almost as happy about the whole process as I was. They both know the product very well, but didnt try to hard sell me on any addition / options. They didnt have to as Id already added just about every option Indian offers...I spoke with the Tim, the owner, for a while too and he really cares about them brand and his staff. I couldnt even tell you who the owner was at the last shop I purchased a bike from... but Tim made a point to make me feel at home. Great guy and it shows in the team hes built.The team at Indian Motorcycle of San Diego is the best Ive worked with at any motorcycle dealership in 35 years, so if youre in the market for an Indian or just in the neighborhood, I highly recommend stopping in to check it out.
Ever since buying my first Indian (a Springfield) in 2019, I have been consistently pleased with the level of professionalism, service and care provided to me, and my friends that also shop here. The team at IMSD is clearly setting the bar by which all motorcycle dealers everywhere should operate. In the interest of continual improvement, here are some specific ideas:1. Offer ride in detailing service (or by appt if not practical), and use the time to show off a new product!2. Weekly or Monthly email or web blog articles/mailings on rider safety, good rides, reviews, etc.3. Meet customers at door and offer them a beverage. That first 30 seconds in the shop are the absolutely most important.
The store is neat and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had my bike serviced there and they did a quick thorough job. I wont take my bike anywhere else for service or parts.
Could not have had a more fun experience from the test ride, to picking out accessories, getting them installed and even the financial aspect could not have been smoother. In all honesty, this is not a one and done purchase, you become part of the IMSD family and feel welcome each and every time you visit. I wrote a review not too long ago about Indian Motorcycle of San Diego (IMSD) after purchasing my first motorcycle. But just eight weeks later, I’ve upgraded my bike and this experience deserves another review. In my first review I mentioned that doing business at IMSD was like talking with old friends. In the past two months it’s only gotten better, and now I feel like I’m part of the family. I have absolutely fallen in love with motorcycle riding. Unfortunately, when you’re a new writer, you don’t know what you don’t know. Turns out I wanted a plusher ride. Even though I was a little embarrassed, I made a phone call to Sarah, the amazing finance manager, to simply inquire how bad of a hit I would take if I traded in my motorcycle after eight weeks. She was so amazing! She began clicking away on her calculator immediately (a little Rain man style to be honest). I then spoke to Brad Hacker, the sales manager who was immediately accommodating and suggested I come in and ride some bikes. I waffled back-and-forth, and even ordered a different bike then I ended up purchasing. Not once during this entire situation did I feel embarrassed, or insecure about riding bigger motorcycles because Brad was so accommodating. I felt like I was getting big brother (although I’m much older than he is!) advice about the size of the motorcycle I was looking at in regards to my riding capability. He took several motorcycles to a nearby parking lot to let me try them out. And to top it off I had my own personal cheerleader Emma from the marketing department out there cheering me on!! Who does that?!Indian of San Diego. That’s who.I was able to ride my dream motorcycle home yesterday because of Sarah and Brad and the amazing treatment I got from them. They honor the fact that I was a repeat customer, and they made that deal work when really it shouldn’t have. I can’t say for sure, but I guarantee you this would not have worked at another dealership. And to round out the awesomeness is Angel, Devon, Amir and Scott who made time for me to install a new kickstand and some other aftermarket items I wanted, although they were already booked. However, I live in Carlsbad and have gone to dealers closer to me but never felt the care and genuine concern for what was right for me from anywhere else.If you’re considering buying a motorcycle stop in. All it will take is 2 minutes in this dealership and you will understand what I am talking about. Thank you again to the entire crew of IMSD!!

The staff are AMAZING! They have gone beyond being super nice and helpful. My husband got a flat on his back tire and Angel stayed late for the tow truck to drop it off to them. Robert was also super helpful and nice when we did business with him. My husbands motorcycle is in very good hands and they are going to do an amazing job with all of the work that needs to be done besides replacing the back tire. I seriously cannot say thank you enough to these guys. So again THANK YOU!!! I 100% recommend this location and staff to take care of your needs whether buying accessories, a new bike, clothes, or getting your bike fixed. If I could I would give them more stars!

I drove out to this place from Loma Linda and it was worth it! Prior to this place, I had gone to OC motorsports and it did not deliver in the same way that San Diego did. The energy of this place was welcoming and comfortable. Clean storeroom with a variety of motorcycles, clothes, helmets, accessories, and more. The staff was friendly and made an effort to make sure you were acknowledged, especially, Brad. He is a phenomenal person. He made sure everyone was taken care of in the aspects of being heard about concerns, questions, and options available for the motorcycle. He has a passion for his job, and it translates to pure excellence with his customer service. I am thankful for him. Another staff member I would like to acknowledge and thank is Sarah. She had all the information to give on financing and made the transaction experience smooth and enjoyable. I will always make the commute to this place because of the energy this place exuded. I am a proud owner of a 2021 Scout Bobber Twenty ABS.(HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping at San Diego FIRST for all Indian purchases before going to Orange County or Redlands. Orange County’s energy and customer service is not great. They barely want to engage and will discriminate.)

I am new to Indian and met up with a couple of the SAN DIEGO Indian owners group guys at the dealership Demo days. They could not have been nicer. I started to check out the dealership and found ALL the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Found out that they rented Indian motorcycles so I decided to check it out.Making the reservation was easy. I wanted to rent the new 2020 Indian challenger and they have 2! Picking up the bike was way faster than I was expecting with Robert Cook taking good care of me and explaining everything about the bike. The bike was spotless and in excellent mechanical condition.Returning the bike was fast and easy as well. Angel got me in and out, it could not have been easier. Very nice people we return the bikes on time after a full weekend and over 600 miles of fun. We get there and my brother forgot his keys the manager Robert Cook let us take the bikes back to the house to get them at no charge and told us not to worry about it took two hours to get there and back I was blown away such great customer service will rent there again.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. The manager there is on point and the parts and service guys will bend over backwards to get your bike the way you want it.

Walked in for a look around at the stock, walked out with a cherry of a bike and a deal to match. Brad was amazing as was the rest of the staff, from getting the loan to delivering the bike and even helping with their fancy coffee maker. I cannot stress enough how amazing this facility, the staff, and follow on support is. highly recommend and yes, I went from a Harley Street Bob, to an Indian Springfield.
So Ive rented 2 bikes from S.D. Indian. Rob the rental manager is super chill and laid back. both times my experience was 5 star, no pushy or stringent time frames, lots of flexibility and on top of the super star customer service I rented a 2019 Chieftain Limited the first time (Great Bike) and for last 2 days I had a 2020 brand new with 105 miles on it when handed over Indian Challenger..what a sweet ride (if money wasnt an issue, id buy one right now). Ive done the eagle rider thing and rented Harleys...dont see a reason to go back..great bikes (I think the Indians are better by far) but customer service was stagnant at best and NO flexibility. Go see Rob at SD Indian.
So glad I chose to buy my bike from Indian of SD. From the moment I was greeted as I walked in, I knew I was in the right spot. Test rode a few bikes and went over features and options with the staff, who were more than helpful. Added a couple accessories and rolled the bike off the lot that same day. Great finance options, as well as factory savings. Great way to spend some of the extra time I have during the lockdown cruising the 101. Robert and the team are absolutely amazing! My wife and I rented a Polaris Slingshot for 3 days at a steal of a deal and got a ride back to the airport to boot! The Slingshot drove well, the facilities were very clean, and the experience was nothing short of satisfactory. Will definitely be giving them a call next time I’m back in town!

Top notch experience renting the new FTR1200! Robert was above and beyond in getting me set up for my ride. I later found out he was answering my phone calls and text messages from the hospital with broken bones. Nothing stops this team!It was an awesome value and a killer bike. I even found out my rental fee and any others for the next 30 days applies to the purchase of my new Indian!Knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate staff, killer service and the bikes!! Indian motorcycle san Diego should be the first stop on your list when you get here .I have been working and traveling in and out of san Diego since 2010. I have rented from Harley and Indian dealerships all over the nation. this is by far the best experience I have ever had. the entire site is exceptional. Robert Cook is my go to guy. very knowledgeable and superior customer service. He has went out of his way several times to make my rental experience one of a kind and the most enjoyable it could be. the whole Indian team from sales to maintenance and rental are above reproach at what they do. I have been here several times and planning a trip back as I write this review. keep in mind it is covid season. The cleanliness of the shop and show room is like no other. still they are open for rentals and sales on the front line. the showroom is one of the most beautiful showrooms I have ever visited. if you have not seen what I speak of, you are doing you self a disservice by not getting there to check it out. you will not regret it. the energy and hospitality is unforgettable at this site. I had the best Experience at this dealer. I was visiting from out of town from Texas. I have been gone for a few years since I left for work. I was in town for a few days to show my lady SD.I wanted to rent the new Challenger for a few days since I ride a Chieftain Darkhorse.Robert in the rental department hooked me up. First he changed my booking from the Dark Horse to the Challenger when it became available, with no worries!Robert has the best Vibe and hooked me up when it was time to ride. He went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed as far as accessories ect.Then to top it all off, he came in after hours on his day off meet me when I dropped the bike off! The dude is awesome!! Great vibes in that place! I will definitely be back and when I eventually come home, they will always have my business. Cheers Robert! Your the man! Go see these guys!

This was truly one of the BEST experiences I’ve ever had with customer service! I walked in to rent a motorcycle and was immediately greeted by a staff member. They personally walked me over to Rob, head of rentals, and my experience only got better from there. Rob was extremely warm and welcoming! He also handled the rental paperwork at lightning speed! I couldn’t believe it, it took roughly 5 min from start to finish! As we were walking out to the bike Tim, the owner, came over and introduced himself. Again, warm, welcoming and more than accommodating. The bike matched the staff perfectly. It was brand new with all the bells and whistles. I will definitely be returning to this store!

I must express my sincerest gratitude to the team at Indian of San Diego for a level of service I cannot imagine being met anywhere else. Specifically Brad in sales who was patient with me and really went above and beyond to serve me. Robert (whom I had met during a previous purchase a few years prior) recognized me immediately and reminded me how genuine the people are at this dealer, giving me all of his time despite what could tell was a busy schedule for him that day. Angel who helped me figure out the electronics, even ppppthrough a couple of head-scratching moments configuring Bluetooth and connectivity preferences, was patient and persistent to make sure everything was perfect to my liking. I hope they’ll forgive any names I failed to mention (Sarah who made the documentation process quick and painless). The pppp here arepa sincere and happy to serve however and to whatever extent needed. Had talked to Tyler before going in and he was great even over the phone. He greeted my family and I along with Rob and a couple other guys who were all friendly. They took my two crazy boys (5&3) and gave them motorcycles to color to keep them entertained. Went on an awesome intro ride and was sold. Got a great deal on the bike and my wife and I were thrilled with the experience. Minimal pressure to upgrade bikes or coverage (which is rare).Highly recommend

He answered all of my questions without hesitation and was very sincere. I felt like he wasnt trying to over sell a bike or be pushy into signing a contract. KUDOS TO YOU ROBERT! You kept me in the store and convinced me this store is the place to be for my bike purchase. Ive got to say after making contact with the rest of the staff members, everyone there made sure that I got what I wanted and was sure to answer any questions in regards to accessories, parts and the after service was absolutely superb. It wasnt like we they sold the bike and they forget about you. All of the staff members made me feel like part of the Indian Motorcycle family and they remember you by your name not just sir. Brad, who is the successor of one person who I dont really have too much compliments on or nor do I want to say his name such as James, has done a really remarkable job on continuing where James left a wreckage. Best place to buy a bike or just to stop by.I went there to compare rates and I ended up having the best experience buying my scout! Just like that they made me a good offer and helped me with so much patience and calm that I never felt pressured.Tim is an amazing guy that wants you to be part of the family, Tyler helped me to understand what would work best for me.Even if you are not there to buy, everyone there will make you have a nice time and will prove that they are there for you.

I was so impressed with Indian Motorcycle the moment I pulled into their driveway. My boyfriend and I rented one of their bikes for the day and the whole team made it such an easy process. Staff came out of their offices to greet us and see us off on our rental after a fun photo. The owner even came out to introduce himself! Their digital system sent us out with their bike in a matter of minutes, and the staff even hooked up our Bluetooth for us! I usually ride sport bikes, but after this experience I’ll definitely be back to Indian!

I love coming and hanging out at the shop. The events are always fun with good music and good food. Robert and all the other staff always make me feel comfortable and welcomed. Plus, the shop puppy, Scout is the cutest little guy.
Even though I did not own an Indian motorcycle during my numerous visits to this dealership since they first opened they were always very welcoming with no high pressure sales. After a lot of research and riding many brands and types of motorcycles over the past couple of years, I purchased a 2018 Chieftain Limited from Tyler and Robert. Got a great deal and a pleasurable experience. I highly recommend them and Indian motorcycles.
Fantastic place. Happened upon a demo ride as I went in to check out the new Challenger and ended up trying it out. Then found out they did rentals. We had a group of four trying to rent the next day on a Sunday and Robert said “We’re not open but once I see that reservation come in I’ll come in and get you guys set up.” Where do you find service like that these days? For 4 Canadian military guys here on exercise to get the chance to explore on brand new Indians (my Chieftain Limited had 120 miles on it), it really made our trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better day and the bike was just amazing.Simple reservation process and even loaned us helmets, Robert had us set up and in the road in minutes. Love the dealership and the GM and parts guy was a ton of help, my wife loves her new jacket. We live out of state but spend a lot of time in San Diego and will shop here more. The only complaint would be the video game that had its volume cranked and it was hard to concentrate and talk when you were close to it. Just turn the volume down.
Angel is a sweetheart and Devin is the best Tech in all of Southern California. This is a great and reliable dealership!

I went to Indian San Diego to look for a used motorcycle. I didn’t find what I was looking for so I went to another Indian dealership. When I was at the other Indian dealership I told the gentleman I was looking for the best deal I can find and whoever gave it to me that’s who was going to have my money. He responded by telling me that I hope I wasn’t wasting his time (dealbreaker with that salesman) and they gave me a very good deal. So I went back to Indian San Diego told them about the offer and immediately they beat it. Tyler, Leonardo, Tim and James were all very helpful and answered every single question I had. They made the process easy. Magen Is a awesome parts person as well, gave me lots of advice. I also got my motorcycle With not one spec of dust, and looking better than when I first saw it!!! Thanks to the people that detail the bikes. I will definitely be recommending Indian San Diego to my friends.
Awesome motorcycle dealership! Tim and the entire staff will treat you right. If you are in the market for a motorcycle I highly recommend you go see the guys before you make that purchase. They have a nice selection of bikes to choose from too.

Very nice, clean, store. I rented a Scout Bobber and both the bike and helmet were in pristine condition. Robert made the rental process really smooth. I will definitely come back when it’s time to buy a bike.

I guess a young man pushing a stroller doesnt qualify as a customer. Walked thru the store approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Not one person spoke to me or even acknowledged I was in the store or even inquired if I needed any help. Was gonna ask about getting service since they are local to my residence. As I was heading to my vehicle putting son in the car, one of the sales rep said you all have a nice day. Im all for a hands off approach but custom greetings and courtesy is a must or least a minimum. Hi, hello Sir or Mame Im so and so if you need anything I will be here.

BIG shoutout to Robert Cook! Was booked to go to San Diego for business. I wanted to ride while I was there, at least one day since the weather is so nice. I got online and found Indian of San Diego. Reserved the bike I wanted online. Easy peasy. Robert gave me a call personally to let me know how they operate, etc. Picked the bike up at 9am. Super cool experience. GREAT people and really doing a great job promoting the Indian brand and motorcycling. Whenever I am in San Diego, I’ll be renting another bike or at least stopping in to say hello. These guys made my trip extra special. RESPECT!
