Ive been using Sorrento Mesa Self Storage over the last year and a half and the staff is always SO friendly! Shawn and Mary always call me when I have boxes delivered, they give me water bottles when i arrive, and I couldnt recommend their top notch customer service enough. They keep the facility clean and everything in order. My storage unit is also spacious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a customer at this facility for 10 years and I’ve never had any issues. The facility is clean, well kept and safely secured. The office staff has always been wonderful! My family and I recently moved to another city, so we no longer needed to keep our unit in San Diego. I didn’t give 30 day notice when we left. But Mary was gracious enough to waive the 30 day notice fee, which I’m very grateful for. Thank you Sorrento Mesa for your great service!!

Anthony was very helpful, polite and accomodating. He really listened and addressed my needs, giving me options that gave me ideas and clarified in my own mind what I really need.I only wish the access was 24/7 like I’m used to with other storage facilities as my work schedule doesn’t allow me much time to situate things. But if you’re more available than I am, I recommend this facility.

Poor construction and flooding problemsMy unit was flooded over Thanksgiving, despite asking the day before whether or not my unit was safe because it was near other units that had flood damage. I was told that they contacted the other owners around me and verified that my unit was not in an area of concern.I asked why I was not contacted when the flooding was first noticed and they said it was the owners responsibility to check on their unit.When I returned the next day, I found the unit flooded and irreplaceable collectibles damaged. I called the front desk, but the call was forwarded to their corporate call center, where the customer service was flippant and uncaring.When they took me to the other available units, all of the ones with a shared exterior wall showed signs of fresh water. They reiterated to me that it is not their responsibility to alert owners of facility deficiencies. Most people do not frequently visit their storage units, so they may miss the critical window of opportunity to file insurance claims.DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!! It is poorly constructed. The business provides a false sense of security ... they do not care about safe guarding your property.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! I put my 2015 Mercedes Benz in there and it was safe and sound and clean and everyone was so personable and caring! They were very helpful with my temporary needs both financially and emotionally! Mary and Zoe are my personal favorites! I recommend this place anytime, as moving from Ohio to California has been stressful and this place took one less stress away! Thank Sorrento Mesa!

Best self storage experience! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The facility is always clean and well kept. Ive had a few storage units over the years and this is by far the best option I have seen. I had to secure storage last minute and they were even able to arrange a truck, at their cost which they drove, to pick up and take my items to the storage unit.

Went in yesterday morning for a storage unit-- Jose at the front desk was very professional and awesome. Great customer service :) We got a huge discount for our first two months, and the unit is reserved on a month-to-month basis, so we dont have to worry about keeping it longer than we need it. It didnt take long to complete the paperwork, and we were able to access the unit right away! Thanks!!

Stopped by this place to get some prices for storage. The first thing that I liked was that I got greeted very friendly by the 2 ladies that was working at the time. They offered me water and very accommodating. They explained all the rates and diffrent sizes and even took me on a small tour to show me one of the units. The place looked really neat and clean. I definitely recommend this place if you live around Carmel valley or Sorrento valley and looking to rent a storage unit!! 👌👌👌

Awesome place-fantastic people running it! We had to find storage quickly since exams were over and we were headed out of town. We called Sorrento Mesa Self Storage which was down the street from my hotel and Julian, who answered the phone, was incredibly polite and friendly. He answered all our questions, offered advice and found just the right size unit for us. When we went there he and Brian were both very friendly and accommodating. We bought a lock (they have everything you need right there at competative prices (I checked the $ of a box that was identical to one Ive purchased at home and it was the same price) and went to our unit which was on the ground floor and inside-safe and secure. We unloaded our items into the unit and locked it up. Then we went on our way. Later that night, when we were 8 hours from San Diego we got a call from Brian saying that they had done their nightly security check and out unit was locked incorrectly leaving it unsecure. Well there was no way we could return to fix it, so I called back first thing in the morning to ask what we could do and Julian assured me he would take care of it. Now THAT is customer service and they ARE awesome. We have college for another 2 years-thats where well be storing our stuff.

These guys are too off artist. I have had a storage unit for almost years with these people and every single month I was over charged even when I wasnt late with payment. In February they called the day after my payment was due and when I offered to pay that told me my bill was $462. WTH I have a unit at $150/month and was late 1 day so why the up charge. they could not explain it clearly or legally and I refused to pay that. they have called me daily with harnessing calls in which I have asked each time to not call me ever again and I will have my lawyer deal with them but they insist on the harnessing calls. today Michael calledbans told me I had to $900 or he will auction off my stuff. I am willing to pay what I owe but I wont let them rip me off anymorenthan they already have. will continue to update this weekly and in am looking for anyone else who has has similar issues so we can start a class action

Money hungry. I only needed to reserve a unit and went it to do so. Instead of reserving it they charged me for the unit before I needed it and would only refund a portion of my money saying it would be different if i reserved it which was what they said i was doing. Liars and thieves find a different place especially if youre military like us.
