Great experience with Aldea in San Francisco - very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and responsive personnel. We are very happy with car seat and stroller as well as rocking chair bought there and I can highly recommend this store and individual customer approach - they went beyond our expectations and we will definitely be returning customers.
Right when COVID took place I contacted a few small businesses on Valencia and placed orders. I got a few baby gifts from here for a friend of mine, placed the order online.I got a call back pretty quickly after I placed the order saying that one of the items, a stuffed pineapple, was out of stock. The woman sent me some photos of other options, none of which I liked. I asked if she was getting more of the stuffies coming in and she said she was supposed to get them within a few days.Two weeks passed by, I called the store more than once and was told the manager would call me back, which she never did. Eventually I was told by someone three weeks in that “supply chains had been impacted” but they seemed unwilling to give me a refund or any other consolation until I asked for it.Then I had to email the place asking for a refund since asking people on the phone for a refund wasn’t working. I exchanged a few emails, they said they would refund me but then never did. They’ve stopped replying to my emails altogether.While they did send one of the items, the other (more expensive) item was never delivered or refunded. I’ve spent over an hour either emailing, on the phone with them or my cc company, trying to deal with this. It’s super annoying and unprofessional, actually illegal to charge someone for goods and services that were never provided.It’s too bad, I really liked going into the physical store but will not be going there anymore.

I furnished my entire nursery from here and have also gotten many gifts for friends. The selection of kids stuff is always reliable and of solid quality. People often compliment the things Ive gotten from Aldea. The one time I wasnt satisfied with the quality of the sheets I purchased, they insisted on taking them back so I could get something great instead. The owner is incredibly nice and so is all the other staff. Ive been going there for years and its been mostly the same people working there whom Ive gotten to know a bit. Thanks for always helping me get just what I need!
Very poor and disappointing service experience. I ordered an infant car seat over the phone. They were prompt to take the order and charge my card, but never sent a confirmation or receipt. After a week and half went by, I called and checked - I was told that the item was on back order, a detail never disclosed when ordering. We needed a seat urgently and even after two weeks of waiting there was no follow up or item delivered. I had to purchase from another store who had it in stock. I reached out to cancel and get a refund, it took 4 different phone calls to get a response. Johanna who is the owner, is apparently the only one who can issue a refund and shes always not there to authorize. The poor employees get to hear customer complaints but no authority to fix it. After so much, I get an email with store credit! I never want to shop at this store again, its a disaster. Tried reaching out to Johanna, who stated policy on receipt, however I never got confirmation, receipt or the item in timeframe. This is daylight robbery. Very poor experience and I do not recommend this store. I tried supporting a local business, but learnt a lesson with this one. Johanna Bialkin is the owner and leaves 5 star reviews for her own store! What a scam!
Well ... a store to buy baby stuff. They have a nice little young kids playcorner in the store.
This is such a cute place run by the nicest people. They have both practical and fun and home & kitchen stuff. They also have a small baby section with clothes, eco-friendly toys and stuffed animals. Of particular note are the framed art, home fragrances and pillows. I frequently stop in here when I need a gift for someone. Check it out!

This place has a lot of really beautiful gifts and home furnishings. It is on the pricey side but youre sure to find something unique and well made here. I have a hard time not stopping in when Im just walking down valencia.
The service was excellent and the furniture is very creative. The store is very unique and differs from your usual layzboy store. Great place to look for if you are trying to have fancy decor in your home.
This is a nice store filled with interesting items for the home. All the sales staff I have encountered have been friendly, and the prices are reasonable-- especially for San Francisco.

A great place to find gifts that are not boring or generic. Staff is attentive, and can help you find things since they carry a lot of product and not all of it is on the floor.

Review on WEBSITE PURCHASE EXPERIENCE: I wanted to support SF Small Business so I ordered a couple of items for a baby shower. This entire process has not gone well. Although everyone seems nice & professional as far as answering the phone, they appear to have zero organization when it comes to web orders. My order was placed on October 3 & as of today (October 17) still has not been received by the recipient. When I called (3 times) to obtain tracking information, my inquiry was never handled... even today... by the Owner, Johanna. She seemed to rush me off the phone, promising me an email (which was in the original WebOrder contract but never actually came) & stating that the package (although she told me it was sent last Wednesday the 12th) went out this past Friday (the 14th). I suppose in the future, I will stick with Amazon for reliability when it comes to WebOrdering.
