Super cool, little “hole in the wall” coffee shop. The owner, Gideon, roasts Ethiopian origin beans in house. He is super friendly and knew just about everyone by name that came in while I was here. This isn’t your super trendy, hipster coffee shop though. If that’s your thing, then go somewhere else. However, if like great coffee, a chill atmosphere, and want a unique experience...check it out!

Interesting spot with Ethiopian coffee. I tried the traditional ethtiopian coffee from the jerbena clay pot. It was interested light flavor but I can’t say I would have it again. There aren’t too many seats but hey make you feel welcome to stay.They have some juices and a small food menu. If your reason for coming to Fillmore is to try the coffee I think you can skip it but if you’re in the area I suggest giving it a try.

Great place. First time here even though theyre located in front of my house. I really like the atmosphere and additionally their coffee and everything is made fresh there. I enjoyed my breakfast and their service is great. No idea why theyre not crowded but I like it too. Too many people create a lot of heavy energy. Latte tastes incredible, coffee enthusiasts will notice that. Maybe Ill make it my routine coming here every morning.

The food here is fair for a quick lunch. Ive had salads and sandwiches and Ive enjoyed them both. Although I feel the salads for the price could be a better serving size. All in all its a good spot for a quick lunch.

The owners are very friendly and professional, not to mention the coffee is quite delicious. This is my place to buy roasted whole bean and the Harrar has to be my favorite. The place is very clean and well lit and has a comfortable setting. Bottom line, if you want a wonderful cup of coffee and your in the neighborhood, I believe you will find this place a delight and far much better than the commercial coffee shops were use to.

The foul with feta and scrambled eggs was FANTASTIC, we requested that it be served with injera and the proprietor was more than happy to oblige us. The Ethiopian Shai was delightful.

She told us stories of how traditionally Ethiopians would prepare coffee, it was so fascinating as its quick different than how we do it.Ethiopian coffee beans are amongst my favorite type of coffee beans as the flavors and intensity are my preferred. Can you relate?Great ambiance and quiet spot to read or to get some work done. I would definitely recommend this spot to try either the Ethiopian clay pot coffee or their Ethiopian shai tea.

The coffee is excellent!! The pastries are good. And the service was very good. This is a good place to sit, have a cup of coffee and work on your computer. It is not very spacious though. But as I said, the service is good.

Finally!), great snacks (mmm; lemon Turkish delights with whole hazelnuts e.o. flavors as well...) and yummy sandwiches (also: ask for their warm home made samosa - with spicy lentil filling!), great music, great service... in a so and so location it is a little oasis for a break or to get some work done on your laptop.

Had the Adis Ababa coffee and a scrumptious fresh spiced lentil fried pastry. The lady behind the counter was pleasant and seemed happy to introduce her delicious coffee to a new customer. This coffee is worth a side trip, and the atmosphere is quiet and tidy.

Cute little coffee shop on Fillmore. Its my go to spot to get a coffee, breakfast and sit down with my laptop and work. Typically its pretty quite with plenty of space and free wifi. Staff is always friendly and providing casual and authentic banter.

At Zo11 it all starts with the charming, friendly owner. She kindly explained how they make traditional Ethiopian coffee on the stove in a clay pot. The beautiful and tall clay pot has a handle and is delivered to your table on a wooden platter with brown sugar and cream, which are optional, and a tiny basket of cardamom popcorn, which is not - so yummy. It takes about 10 minutes to brew, which is worth it for a coffee experience beyond the capacity of any Starbucks. I think it was $6.50 for the small clay pot and $9.50 for a large. They also have Turkish coffee and your typical express drinks.Its a great place to chill. Zo11 plays great music. With the tall windows, its a nice and bright, art-filled space with 5 two-tops and a tall four-top. Free Wi-Fi too! I wish there was a place like this in my neighborhood. I have nothing against hipster cafes, but this place has a sweetness to it.
