Whalebird is great - the taste, the vibes, the people. Love visiting their taproom in SLO. I live in the city now and wish they had something similar up here 🙃
Said they were open, drove 30 miles and they were not. update info
The coworking space I go to just got Whalebird Kombucha on tap and I cant get enough! Love all the unique flavors and the fact that I can use my own reusable cup.
I tasted Whalebird for the first time at the Plant Cafe on Steiner and 3rd St. As an avid kombucha drinker, its difficult for me to distinguish one brand from the others. However, there was something about Whalebird that really separates itself from the rest of the pack. It tastes like every ingredient, from the water all the way down to the tea leaves, is fresher. It tastes like Im tasting the drink closer to the source than some of the other brands that taste shelved for too long, stale, and too vinegar-like. I tasted the dry hopped pamplemousse flavor and it was the best kombucha Ive ever had. Thanks WB!
Fell in love with kombucha when I tasted it for the first time at Kraken Coffee in Avala Beach, near San Luis Obispo. Lucky enough to have a daughter who lives there to bring a growler to me now and again. I have convinced an owner of a well-known coffee shop/restaurant here in Folsom, CA that he should put kombucha on tap. Were just waiting for Whalebird to in crease its distribution range. Meanwhile, Ill look for it when I am in SF, and continue to love it when in SLO.
