If youre interested in architecture, this is quite possibly the greatest bookstore youll ever visit. Packed with new releases covering a wide variety of subtopics, as well as some exceptional out-of-print gems. Outstanding.

One of the last architectural bookstores around and it’s a great one. Being in Southern California, I miss the experience of browsing their packed (but neatly organized) store. I still shop there online for their great selection, and to support the store.

Awesome to have a bookstore dedicated to beautiful architecture books as well as City planning, design, etc.

So happy this place exists in my neighborhood. I wish they had a broader and maybe more contemporary photography section. Compared to other bookstores in SF they are still the best on photography though.

In todays modern world of ebooks, theres still nothing like a stack of nice and heavy hard-covered architectural books on the coffee table, and this is the place to get them. Although Im no architect and only a pretend urban planner, this is my favorite bookstore in the city to peruse. Stout has a good collection of local SF books, many of which I dont seem to run into at other bookstores. I love going through the transportation section and the modern architecture stuff as well.The only problem is I often walk out having to lug a 20 pound book the size of a briefcase all the way back home.

This my favorite bookstore in San Francisco. It boasts a mesmerizing array of architectural and design books. The staff is helpful, but doesnt get in the way.

Its a specialize book store about architecture. I went because they sell ideos card to create digital products. Its near civic center so, I enjoy the promenade.
