I absolutely loved the food! I live in Sacramento and came to SF for work related business. I found this hidden gem and fell in love. Im sad that i won’t be visiting anytime soon. The staff are super polite and friendly. I ordered a mosaique (if I can spell it right), a wrap that has a beautiful combination of ingredients including hummus, grilled chicken, fresh lettuce, onions, and savory falafel. So far, I haven’t found any place that tasted as good as this in Sacramento. 5/5!

Good food! Knocked 1 star off as I am always confused about how much they charge for the salad bar/hot food. One day it’s one price and another day something else. One day is 50%off after 2pm another day it’s 20%. I wish they would just label clearly and be consistent

You cant knock much off this place. Its very cheap, so expectations have to be leveled a bit. It is clean and theres a fair amount of selections between the hot bar and the grill. Nothing tasted particularly remarkable when I had it (chose food from the hot bar), however, I did only pay $5 for a full meal. Wouldnt go back, but Id recommend this place if youre on a budget or trying to save money

Very very good food and top notch service. Really enjoyed the variety they had to offer and the prices were very reasonable. Everything is extremely fresh and well made. Owners really seem to know what theyre doing. Authentic European and Middle Eastern cuisine that really hits the spot.

Decently priced comfort food for even lunch. Really hearty dishes, but watch the wait on your dishes. A lot of the food is super dense so alittle could weight more than expected, but still decent pricing.

Great cafe in the Financial District, supported by fantastic ownership. They have a great deal on food given their 50% off buffet and their sandwiches are particularly tasty as well. My favorite is the the Spicy Chicken on Baguette, and let them know if its your first time and they will happily provide you with a free soup!

Love this place! I dont normally eat at buffets, but this one is a winner, you can find great food for a great price on every diet! Plus the folks working here are super nice!

Decent lunch option for people who work in the area. The salad bar offers salad and other hot foods like chicken or fish. The food is okay, but definitely not worth a trip if you dont work close by. They have a competition going on with the lunch spot around the corner, so at the moment the salad bar buffet is half price.

If youre looking for a weekday lunch in the financial district Chez Beesen is as good as it gets. The food is weigh and pay although they have a traditional menu option as well.How they are able to keep prices so low I have no clue but with a hearty meal you normally leave short of $7. The staff is friendly and always kind. Theres a family like energy bustling about.Traditional Indian food, Mediterranean and even Italian buffet options are served every day. 10/10.For as busy as it gets during lunch hours you wont find yourself in there for more than 5 minutes before youre out the door with your food.

Convenient and varied buffet, with salads, chicken, lamb, beef and a wide variety of veggies. There is also an Indian food section, a sandwich bar and a tacqueria! All very reasonably priced for SF. For the type of food it’s hard to beat, I go there when I need a quick lunch.

This place must be really desperate they are battling it out with the med cafe on corner. Not to mention they both are offering the same stuff and theres been a Mediterranean food place on battery st. Its not horrible food just bad vibes and it was better before the cafe med store open as like I said they are now competing and not really caring about the customers and what they want I wish it was like how it used to be. Great lunch spot in the Financial District. Its a well maintained/regulated buffet of salad items and sides. While in line you will see the servers constantly refill and replace different items, so you know whats fresh.After 2pm your lunch is half-off!

Located in the financial district, they have a buffet bar with a european flavor serving salads, quiches, chicken, etc. After 2 pm you can eat all that fits in the to go box for 6$. The quality of the food was quite nice. They have a few seats inside and a few more in the sidewalk. They also have sandwiches and wraps, so next time we will try some of them.

One of my favorite places for lunch in the FiDi. Ive been going here when it was still Chez Carla. The cafeteria style bar has a wide selection of items for you to choose from and its always half-off! After 2PM, all box lunches are $5. The sandwiches here are amazing and are made right in front of you.

These guys run a solid buffet for a great price. Their promotions are usually lies, which is annoying because they don’t need them: their food and prices are already really good.

I come here 2-3x a week on average. Half off lunch buffet til June 2014 (though they might extend it). I usually score a lunch here for $5-$7.50. Lunch buffet line is by POUND. Im not sure exactly how much it is per pound.Overall: pretty fresh (just look at the salad greens sometimes before you put it in your box just in case) and both healthy/unhealthy options. My favorite is the kale salad, brussel sprouts, and garlic potatoes. Their fried fish and roast chicken is also pretty kickass if it hasnt been sitting around too long.Line gets pretty long around lunch rush hour: 12-12:45. The longest total time Ive waited here is 15-20 minutes which isnt too bad.They also make sandwiches (THE SPICY CHICKEN IS SO GOOD!) but I only come here for their lunch buffet.

This is what I like to call a salad bar ++ place. They have a cold salad bar with greens, cheese, eggs, the usual... but they also have a robust selection of other foods like beef bourguignon, curry chicken, potato salad, pasta, etc.Ultimately I think this is the best salad bar ++ place in the financial district. The food is always hot and fresh, and very high quality. Its also CHEAP. Like $6.00/lb for the salad, and if you spend above $12 (I think) you get a free drink? My girlfriend and I can eat here for about $15, tax included.Unless youre getting fast food, thats pretty hard to do in SF. And the food is legit good.

Some of the best and most interesting quick nite to eat in the city! Dont worry about ketchup and mustard, their proprietary spread is delicious. And dont overlook the food bar, their roasted chicken is rediculous. Good food, good people.

Price cannot be beat. $4/lb for amazing quality salad and sides. My favorite is the sea bass, braised beef, and kale salad.

Chez Fayala is my savior for lunches downtown. Their salad bar is always delicious & fresh, and they have half off on the salad bar until June 2014. They are dealing w/ Cafe Medi using basically their identical marketing structure with their salad bar, and they are conveniently located right across the street. I think the food in Fayalas salad bar is much better anyways. Their tilapia is my favorite, super healthy and cooked to perfection.
