Best burgers i have had in the bay area. Bring you appetite the burgers are BIG, JUICY, and just enough condiments to balance flavors. It is pricy but after your fist bite you forget all about price and go for a second bite.Fries are not included but you do get Kimchee and a bag of chip. I did not get to the kimchee or the chip, the burger was all I needed. If you in the area and want to treat you taste buds stop by this place, you will not regret it.Oh... this place is a real butchery that sells quite meet so if you want good steaks, you can pick some up for dinner too.

The best part, in my opinion, of the store is the decorations and toys setting. They blend in with the meat presentation well and some of the toys and settings are rare and difficult to find. The quality of the meat is undoubtably very high. We tried the Japanese Wagyu, it’s like any other Japanese Wagyu - amazing, tasty, and expensive. We also tried the American Wagyu, it’s more expensive than those sold at Whole Foods but somehow less tender and lacks flavor in comparison. Will go back and try out the Bluefin Tuna next time.

If you are ever in the division area of San Francisco. Please stop by and visit this location with a group of amazing guys! Went here Saturday afternoon to finally have the Wagyu experience and knowledge. From the moment we stood in line outside to the time we stepped in, our order was ready and we were able to see the many options and types of Wagyu available. We did not feel rushed in making our decision. We had both of their great burgers, the smash burger and the butchers choice burger. Along with a side of Wagyu fries cooked in Wagyu Greece. Amazing flavors through the whole process. Be sure to make this one of your stops

Top quality meats, seriously. Beautiful display, beautiful marbling.. the best I have ever seen. I think that the owner or general manager was the one I spoke to. He was genuine and provided me with a lot of suggestions. I am new to San Francisco so I am glad to have found a very special place. I will be coming back for for steaks, bones for bone broth, and sausages. Very exciting shop.

The burger was absolutely spot on, fresh ingredients and efficient service. So why three stars? Because I can’t believe that the staff gave us the biggest eye roll when we wanted to pay separately. We ordered $200 worth of food at lunchtime and this guy behind the counter wants to be annoyed that we want to split it up. He wasn’t even the one that processed the payment! First of all it’s TOGO not even a sit down meal so it’s not like we already have everything on one bill and need it to be split up.Secondly, what would have been the difference if we each walked in individually to order? It would have been the same! You still would be processing five transactions…Thirdly, I just paid $30 for a burger and to get that kind of eye roll for something so small is just not the level of customer service nor appreciation we should be getting. We spent $200 between five of us and although the food was great, I’m not in line to come back to the steakhouse nor the butcher shop.

Guy, Chad and the team are awesome! I discovered this place during the pandemic and its been a highlight of my week to visit for their mouth watering burgers, supremely knowledgeable guidance on meat selection and their thoughtful engagement with staff. Its been a tough past year but that this place continues to provide consistent service and draw in the crowds (yes round the block lines is a thing at this special spot) - just shows you that they BRING it and its worth it. Get the burgers!! The best $20+ dollars youll spend and your mouth will thank you. Happy eating;-)

Always the best legit place for wagyu beef, highly recommended, their price might be just a little bit higher than other shops, but for top tier beef, I would rather spend bit more to get the right quality, as spending 10 dollar less in other store may largely lower your experience.

Our favorite butcher shop in town! They have a great selection of steaks (wague is my favorite!) They also sell chicken and pork. The shop is an essential business so they do open during shelter in place order. We tried their skewers two days ago and I would highly recommend it. They have different kinds of meat everyday I believe. We also bought pink salt from them too.Instagram: @x.x227

First time here and I wasn’t disappointed. The burger was delicious. I’m sure it would have been way better if I had eating it right there. Due to covid I ended up going to Alamo Square to enjoy my burger and tater tots. I’m not a fan of pickles on my burger but they went well on this burger. I must come back if I am in the area. @raulvsfood

The most amazing meat I had in years including restaurants. We just dont go anymore to steakhouses because the best meat is here!! Dont miss on their beer&bacon sausages on Thursday/Friday (very balanced taste). The wagyu is just incredible! Pic the local one for every week steak and treat yourself with the Japanese one once in a while. Very different and not for the same kind of meal though!

5-1-21:Came here for lunch to order the wagyu burger. Tried a side of fries 🍟 too. Unfortunately, theres no place to eat the burger. Would have been nice to enjoy lunch if there was seating.Service is very friendly... Which is nice. The burgers and fries are tasty but expensive - the burger did not wow me like I had expected after spending that much. Honestly, Id be just as happy with a super duper burger or a shake shack burger.Still will give five ⭐ because was tasty. Not sure if I would come back because there wasnt a big differentiator for me.

I’ve been coming to The Butcher Shop by Niku since they opened and I should be ashamed that I didn’t write this review sooner. Guy and his team have consistently delivered on everything that makes a butcher shop great from the cuts to the professionalism to the ‘Cheers’ like atmosphere every time you walk in. Whether it’s tomahawk ribeyes and double cut pork chops for a barbecue or Kobe A5 and 175 day dry-aged beef for something more exotic, Guy and his team have delivered every time. I would highly recommend anybody looking for the best meat in the Bay Area not pass up The Butcher Shop; I guarantee an exceptional experience every time.

Weve had a great experience dining at Niku previously and decided to check out their butcher shop. The quality of the meat is worth it but Chad who was the floor manager when we visited was extremely rude.We told him what we wanted to make and he said that he could cut us some meat. We decided to go with shabu meat because it clearly looked like he did not want to be bothered to do that at all. I asked if they had steak tartar, and he responded curtly that they dont but they could help us make it? Again, we were just trying to engage with Chad to get suggestions on what to buy and he just shut us down.My girlfriend and I didnt feel comfortable looking around for long because we felt like we werent wanted in the store. There was only one couple behind us. The butchers behind the counter were very polite and thankful as we were leaving which I hope was them reading the situation. Its a shame because we could have spent more money there had we have better engagement with the floor manager.

I want to give this place 5 stars for quality, selection of meat, and the beautiful case and 2 stars for service. We bought the ribeye, strip, and filet and all were high quality and delicious. However, our experience there was very uncomfortable. The floor manager, dark curly haired guy, was very rude to his staff and made it an unpleasant experience. Seemed like he was above everyone else and was snapping at the guys behind the counter and being really condescending, it really ruined the whole vibe of the beautifully set up shop.

The Butcher Shop can be easily missed as the door to the shop is a single door next to a display window of meat.Once inside, your breathe gets taken away by the beauty of these wagyu meats (unless youre not a meat fan). This butcher shop is the largest one to serve wagyu and only place in SF to sell it.The workers there are very knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to the meats. They take the time to explain each one and help you decide on what youre looking for. The price was really decent too (we went to a different butcher shop after and the prices there were way more expensive! and not as fresh looking). The meats here looked fresh. It ranges from dry age meats, to different kinds of wagyu, ribeye, burger patties, tomahawk, and etc. They even serve wagyu fat ($10) on the side and truffle butter for you to cook with!I will definitely come back to buy more meat and check out their steakhouse one of these days.

Just had a great trip through the butcher shop. Guy the Butcher was there to great you at the door. I really appreciate the warm but not pushy welcome to the store where you are invited to ask any questions you may have and then are left alone to browse at your convenience. Picked up two 70 day dry aged ny strips for a very reasonable price. Loved the service and the overall quality of the meats but was most impressed by the flavor our our steak. Cant wait to try everything else in the case.

They have a nice selection of special Wagyu from specific farms.Remember to check this place out, just dont get addicted.

Moved here 2 months ago and found this gem. I go every two weeks and will get either the dry aged ribeye or the wagyu ribeye and both are to die for. Best quality in SF and has competitive prices compared to other much less quality butchers.

I wrote an article in early July: San Francisco Nike Restaurant Steak Restaurant. As expected, only two months later, the Michelin award list announced at the end of September 2021, Niku restaurant quickly won the first-star evaluation.Today we will introduce its affiliated company, sister store. The Butcher Shop by Niku is located next door. This is a high-end meat specialty store that not only sells all kinds of high-end meat produced locally in the United States, but also directly imports wagyu beef of different quality and specifications from various producing areas in Japan. Including A5 grade Kobe Wagyu,Even sashimi, sea urchins..., there are also premium-quality Heritage Berkshire Kurobuta Pork juicy, delicious, and tender extremely black pork meat. The store staff pointed out that it was produced by a livestock farm run by a Taiwanese near San Francisco. In response to the needs of office workers nearby, recently launched a packed lunch: Wagyu Burger.#TheButcherShopbyNiku #NikuRestaurant #OmakaseRestaurantGroup#A5Wagyu #SanFrancisco #Kurobuta#JapaneseWagyu #BayArea
