I am partial to the look and style of Everlane clothing . . . clean lines, simple and classic, with quality fabrics, and stylish but comfortable footwear. I had typically shopped online, but finally made it to the shop on Valencia Street in San Francisco. The store and staff are great! Easy to navigate, lots of space and attentive and intuitive sakes people.
Really great shopping experience and attentiveness from staff. Great basics and simple everyday wear shoes.
Nice spacious and comfortable. Courteous staff. Great styles, quality. And workmanship. Affordable reasonably priced for high quality. Love to shop there
I’ve been buying from Everlane online for a couple of years and I finally got to see the Everlane store in real life. It was everything I had hoped for! Cool atmosphere and there were quite a lot of items available. I shop Everlane because I appreciate the company’s strive to be transparent about the manufacturing and pricing of their products. Would recommend to anyone!
Products are fair, I wanted to support the locals. Unfortunately, staff’s snobby attitudes are not pleasant experience to be in the store.
I ordered 3 items as a gift for my husband’s birthday. I never received the items. It’s now going on 7 weeks. The customer service experience has been beyond atrocious. I’ve tried to reach everlane by email on 5 occasions; radio silence. Absolutely no response. Nowhere on the website is a phone number listed to reach a human person behind the company which I think is absolutely horrendous. If a customer was in a pinch and needed to reach someone in some other way other than email or social media they would be out of luck entirely. I’m so beyond disappointed in my experience with this company. I will never order from them again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to purchase from themThe lack of response is truly disgraceful; no one is on the other side of this company. It’s unreal!!!!
RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNPLEASANT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE . GREEN WASHED BOUTIQUEI ordered online and came to the store to return my purchase. The cashier was extremely rude. No greeting when I came in the store. Keep in mind I was there at 11 am on a Tuesday.I asked her about the returns for my shoes without the box. She was abrupt with her answer and was not helpful to provide any support.
I walked by this morning as I was passing by and one of the two people opening up the shop scratched off some crud off the street with her shoe and kicked it at me - didnt blink an eye. So, no. Even if I had the money to I wouldnt patronize somewhere that treats me like that before I even step in the door.
I must say, as a longtime customer of Everlane, I was really excited to check out the store on my visit to the States in September, but I couldnt have been more disappointed. As many people have already noted, stock assortment is limited, which is a bummer, but mostly I was appalled by the service - or lack thereof. There were probably twice as many employees as customers, yet I was continually looked over and ignored with hands full of product while people shopping literally right next to me were asked if they needed help by multiple sales associates. The lack of fitting rooms/waiting time is a bit ridiculous, though I did encounter the only helpful person there, even if she never brought me the additional item I asked for. The sales people either were running around frazzled and stressed, or the vast majority, chatting to each other and (as someone else already noted here) throwing elevator eyes to anyone who dared get in their vicinity. The whole experience really left a bad taste in my mouth about the brand, and honestly reminded me why I left the Bay Area nearly a decade ago. Such a shame.
Waiting for 30 minutes in line outside for this store is unacceptable! Get more staff and make this less horrible- nobody has time for this.
Awesome place, great selection
Saw that the store had bad reviews, but thought it might be a bit exaggerated. Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly & unhelpful. If they treat customers like this, are they really transparent & fair with the production process? The variety of in-store purchase isn’t huge but they have some options.
I love the store but was less in love with the customer service. The employees were talking amongst themselves and not helping out customers. Also, one of the girls enticed me to buy three shirts because of a promotion going on and then, when ringing me up, informed me that the promotion was over. I realize mistakes are made, but the manner of letting me know wasnt very matter of fact and non-apologetic. She didnt even ask if I still wanted the three but just kept ringing me up.
Limited selection. Sizes are way smaller. Small hoodie seems like kids large.
My favorite place to shop in store and online! Overall, I can’t say I’ve had a bad shopping experience. I also look forward to their new launches and special edition drops. Love this place!
Great quality clothes. Not fast fashion that’ll fall apart after 3 wears; buy this to last for a long time.I love how they show you their factories and a cost breakdown so you know what you’re getting. And their initiatives like the denim factory that uses clean energy and recycled water is nice to know you’re helping reduce your impact on the planet while purchases clothes made to last.
I had a GREAT shopping experience. Went on a Thursday afternoon, so there wasn’t a line. The woman who helped me was enthusiastic and passionate about the brand. Told me the story- and why she liked working there. She got me so many sizes and really helped me figure out what I wanted to get! Even better- she knew the clothing so well that she suggested to get a size smaller in the jeans since they can stretch - which she was right about! The store is clean and the rooms have great lighting.
The store is very well organized. The staff are very friendly and ready to help find sizes or lend assistance. I love the clothing and I will definitely be back soon!
Store is nice and clean. Employees were attentive but not on top of you. Good balance. Considering they are based online It’s good to go and try it on at the store before purchasing. But I did go after 5pm. No crowd. If you go on the weekend. Good luck.
Super clean, felt covid safe. Staff was lovely, especially Jade!
They have air conditioning and lots of cute people shop here. Makes me think its a good place to shop if you want to be cute! It would be even better if there was complimentary water.
Nothing fit well. It was very bizarre that all the customers in the store looked like clones of each other. Kinda spooky. No thanks.
Very busy, longish wait for fighting rooms. Also it seemed the staff was scattered and maybe a bit disinterested in an odd way. The clothes are a decent price and have a lux feel when worn plus almost nothing is too boring or bright. Its a great place to get nice clothes, especially if you already know youre size.
Everlane clothes are quite frankly boring. Further how “radically transparent” can you be when your consumer has no idea what X factory in X place really means especially considering how often unauthorized subcontracting happens in the textile industry? I just feel like this whole thing is a green washed concept boutique. Pass.
Really great store, so glad to see more places like Everlane paving the way for ethical fashion. Expect a wait if you’re going on the weekend, there can be a line out the door. The staff is very friendly and helpful so don’t be afraid to ask questions or try on many things!
Everlane have not been responding to online customers since May. Take a look at recent news stories to decide whether they are still operating ethically. Some have not received items they have paid for, others have not received money for refunds.
I received my order literally the day before everything went on sale for 25% off. After waiting over 3 full days for a response, theyre refusinf to adjust the price, and told me to return my order, and to reorder the same thing on the site at the sale price. How is this good for the environment? How is this helpful for the customer when I already have the items I want? It’s also really sad to see that they let go of their entire customer service team. No wonder it took them so long to respond to my email. I’m done with this brand.
Beautiful clothing, just a shame the size range and the range of stock was so lacking. I’m surprised more stock wasn’t available in store given the size of the store and the amount of duplicate items. Would be great if they had a wider range of stock and sizes like they advertise on their website. I made a special trip to their only San Fran store and was surprised at how much the store differed to the online experience.
Beautiful store but wish they had more product. I went in for some denim and they had a huge wall but all the same style? Kinda strange. Love having a brick and mortar store close by though that I can shop at!
Super nice store... like the Apple store for clothing...I,m a 67 y.o. man and Everlane had a shirt I liked and fit and was at a very reasonable price. Personnel were warm, friendly and informative.... couldnt have been a nicer experience...
Some of the tees are great but beware of lots of wrinkles on some. I like the long sleeved box cut cotton tees and I bought 2 off white ones which wrinkled horribly after washed. I have a grey one that doesn’t but the material on the white ones are slightly thinner and I’m not happy with how they came out. I realize they are only $25 dollars but since the grey one is fine, I didn’t expect the others to look so bad.
Love this brand, but the physical shop is very disappointing. Very, very limited stock, so if you were thinking of popping in to try something on because youre not sure if it will fit, you are better off just ordering it in multiple sizes and returning as necessary. They probably had less than 1/3 of the items they stock online. Staff are very helpful and nice, tho. Store can get very crowded but you can book an early appointment on the weekend so you can come in and shop before the crowds (but too bad you probably wont actually find anything to buy)
Was worried about doing a return in-store because of all the negative reviews but I walked right in, gave the pants back and they processed it in like 3 minutes. Super easy, quick and friendly service. Cool in-store layout and design too.
The shop has a cool vibe and is very minimal. They usually stock a pretty decent amount of what you can find online but not everything. You can probably find maybe 60-70% of what you see online on the everlane website. The good thing is that the staff can place orders for things they don’t stock and it’s free shipping.
This is a 20/80 mens/womens clothing store. There are basics for both, and shoes for women.Young crowd, fun feel. There is a line outside on busy weekends.PRO TIP: Get a changing room buzzer on the left when you enter as sometimes it takes 15-20 to get a changing room.Prices are reasonable as well.
Large airy space. I found the staff here very helpful. It’s definitely less crowded on weekdays. You’ll have to line up in front of the store on weekends. The store doesn’t have all their online products available, rather mostly just their newer collections.
Beautiful clothes, great customer service.A tad bit expensive but fantastic quality
I love love love Everlane! I think the company really walks the walk. The quality of their Japanese Denim is incredible and I have never loved a piece of clothing more. To echo what a lot of reviewers have said, the line in the store to the dressing rooms could definitely be improved, but it will not deter me from coming in to try on Everlane pieces. I also love how I get a real digital receipt. It gives me an exact overview of everything I purchased in store, item by item with photos. Im excited to see how they improve Everlane further improves upon the store experience. Thank you for putting down roots in San Francisco!
Great store with a great selection! Wonderful staff as well. Ethical and affordable.
Love the brand, but the store only has a small selection from the website and they dont have all the sizes for the items they do carry. I went on a Thursday afternoon after work and there wasnt a line to get in. Had to get a buzzer for a changing room and get in line to pay. The staff is polite and helpful but constantly has to suggest to people that they can buy everything online, which sort of defeats the point of the physical store?
Really pretty store and they helped a lot but the selection was a bit rough. I was hoping to find a certain higher cut bodysuit but it was mostly full of sweaters.
Love love love everlane!!!! Great designs and amazing quality!
I’m a long time fan of Everlane so my review here is to help customers and the brand.First of all, don’t expect to find everything in the store or you will get extremely disappointed. Better off shopping online for the older styles or the classics. The only thing I dislike about shopping online is that free shipping takes too long. Hopefully the management will do something about this as other brands ship fast. The store is nice, big and airy but I noticed there is some waste of space. Not enough fitting rooms. Be prepared to wait more than 15mins to try something on. The initial shoe area at the back could have been additional fitting rooms? Need more floor staff. The queue on weekends can be annoying too. They only let you in when someone leaves. Another thing I notice is there are more women’s styles than men’s in store.Pros and cons with both shopping in-store and online.
In-Store experience sucks, there’s a invisible smell of ego in the air, staff thinks they are cool and somehow managed to pull up a descending attitude whenever you ask a question. Meanwhile there are almost equal number of customer and staff in store, you will be surprised how hard it is to find someone to help you, staff all seems busy at doing nothing by just standing there. Not worth a 4.99 uber trip! Highly recommended if you like waiting in lines and being ignored. It’s funny how they think putting a waiting line in front of store would elevate your shopping experience, I personally regretted waiting in line for this.
Most everything others put in their reviews are true. The staff is amazing, they provide great service, I feel welcomed whenever I come in, and best of all, their staff actually wear their clothing and shoes, so they know the small things like recommending the correct sizing etc. However, theres always a wait on the weekend and even longer wait for the fitting room. All in all the I store experience is nice and they have the great quality products.
The brand that I love and their nice store where I like to go in SF. Selling quite pricy if you can afford but you can definitely find something for yourself to get as a gift once in a while.
Eco friendly. Quality Cashmere, Denim. Great online as well as store in SF.
They don’t have a telephone number??!!! I needed to see if they have an item and go tomorrow.Amazing that they don’t even have a phone number.
Well, my first order did not go well. They shorted me a shirt and I am completely unable to talk to anyone to fix this. The only option on the website is to return an item.
Nice store but the quality of the items is not as good as you might expect. My cashmere sweater peeled a lot and looked like poor quality after one time wearing. I returned it. Won’t buy here again :/
Never been here
I love everlanes clothes, but there is a reason I will stick to online shopping. Store is overly crowded, and staff isnt aware of products. Not a lot of inventory, and the team can be quite rude. Love their online team. No more store for me!
Found the perfect pair of jeans for me, and some nice sneakers. The employees were very kind, polite, and helpful. Thanks Nikki!
Tl;Dr: great spot, nice staff, avoid rush hours. Dog friendly.I have been a customer of Everlane since their first tshirts and was very happy about this new store opening, much bigger than the previous lab which used to be a couple blocks away. Its hard to beat their price and quality for basics with a twist, I love the transparency and ethical positioning: I like to know what Im buying. I had a great experience going there on a Friday afternoon. There were quite a few customers for a week day but I didnt have to wait in line and I was helped immediately and generously by several staff members. I didnt feel rushed even though I was trying out quite a few items. As always with Everlane the sizing can vary between models and fit, so its a great opportunity to try things out and check the fabrics etc. I will definitely come back. There arent many fitting rooms, so going on a weekend or right after work may require some patience, but they stay open pretty late. There were quite a few doggies, I didnt mind but i just want to specify it in case its helpful (whether you love or hate that).
I get my tshirts here. Good quality. The store is clean and simple, consistent with the brand.
I came mid-day during the week to avoid lines, and the store wasnt super packed and dressing rooms were open. There were several associates helping and one in particular (cant remember her name) was SOOOO helpful with helping me find the right size of jeans. If they dont have a size/item and you order through the store, you get free shipping. Doing it yourself you have to order 2 items to get free shipping.Store was clean, and I love the product - though some is overpriced. Will be back, but not on weekends because I just cant stand in line to get into a store....
Important to note: your experience at the Everlane brick and mortar store VARIES depending on when you go. I see a lot of negative reviews on here about the space (but not directly targeted towards Everlane). I will say, the space is small and I was disappointed by the lack of work pant selection available at the store. BUT, its important to note that Everlane is transitioning from an online to brick and mortar shopping experience so of course they will need to work out some kinks! While the space is small and limited, I can only see them expanding to better and bigger locations from here. Whats important to get from my comment is that Everlane is an amazing company. They are ethical, sustainable and affordable which is very rare! I dont want people reading these reviews and who arent aware of Everlane to think badly of Everlane as a company! If you dont like their brick and mortar store now, give them some time and check out their online store! Vote with your dollar and support sustainable and ethical company!
I am a huge Everlane fan and really happy to be able to visit a store and see what Im buying. Selection is very good and there is a lot of help. Lots of good places to eat if its a Shop and Lunch day. Great location except for parking which is a nightmare. MUNI or Lyft over there.
They need better lighting, a section for their backpacks, purses etc. and some music. Feels so dead inside! Dearest everlane, you can do better.
Love the space and the clothes. The staff is very nice and helpful
Not a great variety of clothing, better options through online shopping
Sustainable clothing brand for reasonable pricesBought the comfiest pair of pants Id ever worn here, they also look and feel amazing. The instore experience when busy is pretty cool, theyll take your number and give you a text when a changeroom is free.
I love Everlane, the brand. Id say Everlane makes up over half of my day-to-day wardrobe, but unfortunately the brick-and-mortar store has been less than spectacular. The space itself is beautiful and airy and light (Ive read in various places that that was the aim and they certainly achieved their goal!). Customer service is generally good, but a few rotten eggs here and there (Im talking walking in and instead of a welcome, Im greeted with elevator eyes and a curt smile). Id also just wish they actually had a bit more stocked at the actual store. Selection and sizes for individual items can be very, very sparse. Traversing the Mission neighborhood to get to the store isnt always pleasant or relaxing, so Id probably say you ought to save your energy and peace of mind and just peruse online.
Soooo happy to have an Everlane store in SF. Store associates are really nice and helpful. You can tell they are trying to combat the fitting room lines mentioned by other reviewers. I went in today and it was really organized.
Nice store and easy location to public transit. Nice clothing and great shoes. They have some larger sizes, as well.
Store assistants are relatively helpful but a bit hit and miss. On the weekends, you wait 45 minutes in line only to finally get in and find that the selection and sizes are very limited (at least in the case of mens anyway). Then you wait another eternity for the fitting rooms. Really sours the customer experience and turns you off the brand.
If you want to sell a pair of shoes with $150, you need to have good customer service as Nordstrom. When I asked if I can get a new pair of shoes after I tried on at the store for a few seconds, they blame me for walking on their ground to make their shoes dirty with a very grumpy face.
Really hip cool spot for clothes and the people that work there are very willing to help
Did not expect to love this place so much - this is a dangerous love. Where everything looks fantastic, is well-made, and expensive. Lord, help me.
I like the brand. To be forced to wait in a line outside when there weren’t many people in the store is dumb. I guess it’s their strategy to attract passers-by attention. But it’s just embarrassing for the customers made waiting.
Considering the space, they need to add more fitting rooms so the average time to try on clothes isn’t 40-60min. They forces ppl to order online which is always back ordered.
I think staff could be more helpful. Felt lost in store.
Im giving up on trying to get into this store. Making your customers wait in line is a pretentious, nearsighted, idiotic strategy. Especially when we can SEE inside the practically empty store. These clothes are nothing special, and on Valencia, this store is an eye sore. Ill continue shopping in the local boutiques that are within a block of Ever-line, where I can get better customer service and clothes for real people with real souls. You have lost a customer forever.
They try hard to provide a good customer service, but they might be better off having more fitting rooms to avoid their long lines (up to 1h). It ruins the rest of the shopping experience.
Pretentious. Hope you enjoy waiting 20 minutes to use the changing room.Updated 5/14: Thank you for the thoughtful reply.
Great looking shop with a quality selection. Not too much for men. Lots of helpful staff.
Madison was very nice in helping us find shoes
Good brand and products, terrible shopping experience. There’s an artificially created line outside instead of letting people in to browse when the shop is 3/4 empty.
2 locations in US. Good quality and selection reasonable prices!
I appreciate the transparent pricing and the customer service has always been great. I also like how the majority of their products are primarily cotton.
Waited two weeks for a T-shirt to be shipped to my house, decided to exchange it in the store for another size, waited 20 minutes to try on one T-shirt, then come to find out they don’t “do” exchanges so you have to wait to be refunded and make a whole new purchase. Not worth it
Had to stand in a queue for around 15-20 mins to get inside (but they provided Samovar Tea which is nice)!!
It is beautiful. Clean and well-organized.
Don’t go unless you are willing to wait to get into the store. Waiting lines. There were more people waiting to get into the store then in the actual store. They evidently dont want any of my money.
Women have been complaining for a few years how they have to shop in the men’s section to get good classic basics in classic colors and quality fabrics. We’re assaulted with lace, ugly see through materials and pants without pockets. Purses shoes and jackets have ugly details and poorly fitted waists that were unable to move in. How many people make a beeline straight for the men’s department? I’m sure I do! That’s ok if it’s an Asian chain with small sizes for men but not the case in most stores. But places like everlane have fulfilled a total hole in the market. Never again do we have to get stuck at the mall buying lingerie designed for men or pocketless pants made from crappy material in colors that match nothing in our closet. Even the purses look cleaner. The ad campaigns rock as well. Even if I had no idea about transparency of factories or organically I’d still shop here. No other women’s company is brave enough to have a campaign that says no lace no bows no vbullshit !
Love the brand but the selection and sizes in store are very limited. Also, they now make you wait in line to return stuff, which is a bit ridiculous.
Nice and only one who has been known each other for the way you
Even if you need to exchange, you still need to wait in the 30 min line. It wasn’t even crowded inside. The wait is just frustrating.
Great place to shop for reasonably priced clothes
Love this place and our favorite salesperson is Nikki.
Fun store, but limited selection of menswear and bad waiting system for the fitting rooms (it takes really long)
Great prices. Excellent quality!
Beautiful and clean store but the staff (during check-out on 10/27) were very unpleasant.
Come at opening time to avoid the lines, wonderful service!
Very organized and clean!
There’s no way to Call them by phone. I cannot Stand when companies only want you to e-mail them for contact. It’s like they want nothing to do with you..
