I visited this coffee shop for the first time and ordered a regular cup of coffee. It was excellent coffee and left a pleasant lingering taste in your mouth. So much so, that I had to have a second cup. If you enjoy your coffee like I do youll know what I mean. The coffee was truly amazing. The barista was very kind and polite, he even gave me a small demo of some of their coffee. Pricing is reasonable and about what youd expect to pay in these gourmet coffee shops.
A super cute coffee place with a ton of seating and really aesthetic wood furniture! I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was inside - the drinks are more expensive in general but I liked the hot matcha latte that I got with oat milk. The wifi here isn’t super fast but they have outlets and a bathroom that’s a bit dirty but usable. Would come again!
The barista was making coffee with such love that I thought there’s no way matcha would not taste good and smooth in this establishment. This was the iced matcha I got. $7 down the drain. Bitter clumps of matcha every sip. I don’t think there was any whisking or dissolving involved in the process here.
This is a clean and comfortable place to work or study. The walnut toast is great!
Really cool place for doing some work
This place is awesome. Great service, plenty of space, great coffee and tea and lots of sunshine.
Your staves were very pleasant and courteous. Its a great place to hang out! Guys, well see you next time! Thank you so much!
Really beautiful space, has gone sorta weirdly downhill. Menu not up to date, limited selections, kinda weird experience. Just not what youd expect from a high end coffee shop, which its clearly aiming to be. Ended up feeling silly that I hadnt gone to Peets.Edit- terrible, terrible wifi. less than 1MBPS download. dont plan to work here.
Friendly and efficient service. I got the matcha latte and they don’t make it with any sweetener which is just how it should be done! Matcha of course can be a bit bitter but it went well with the fresh aroma of the coffee and gave me a good level of energy! Please come by and support your local businesses during these difficult times!
The patio is open and theres no one here! Beautiful place to spend a sunny day working!
Great location and nice work place. I’m afraid that it needs some renovation and also somehow I hope the owner can discourage people from bring their own laptop stand and power extension cord.
I was surprised and pleased to find out they serve tea in a kettle. The German Rye with almond butter and jelly was delicious! Bright and clean interior. Would come back again.
So glad to have found this place! Exactly what I was looking for on a Saturday morning - a quiet place with WiFi, power outlets. Its got a good vibe - indoor and outdoor areas, and youll find a lot of people with their laptops!
*NOT* always a good place to work, can get loud depending on the barista. The barista whos blasting her music while everyone is wearing headphones trying to work. Refused to turn it down and gave me the look. :/ You can see from Google Maps live update that the loud music drove away many customers who came here to get work done. Its a pity given that the coffee is pretty good.
This is a very bright café with lots of natural light. The layout is modern and the seating is comfortable. Parking may be challenging at times and power outlets are scarce, however.
Guess its tough to balance laptop users with those actually trying to drink coffee... All but one or two tables taken by individual patrons when we visited, most of which had no visible sign of actually purchasing. Coffee we had was decent. Seat at the grinder sucks.
The quietest coffee shop on Earth. I saw a man who was speaking at an acceptable volume still get hushed by the establishments owner. It was awesome. Nobody wants to hear you jabbering away, capeesh?Could use a few more outlets though... But what place couldnt, am I right.
Perfect spot for a quick quiet moment in the heart of Mission. I had an excellent iced mocha. Delicious. Minimalist design, open back porch.
Delightful little coffee shop with a great back yard. Tasty coffee, plenty of space to chill out and get some work done.
Great place to get some work done on your laptop. Nice tea selections as well.
Great place to work or meet up for coffee. The drinks and food are good and reasonably priced, but the thing that keeps me coming here is the chill and neutral ambiance. Its nice and quiet inside, especially during the day when people are working, though not uptight if you need to chat. The back patio is sunny and a little more lively. Wifi is good and there are plenty of outlets/power strips.
Super friendly staff and delicious toasts. Really beautiful atmosphere and really nice patio in the back if you want to sit outside.
Nice chill coffee shop, great for working on your laptop. Good music, nice ambience with clean simplistic wood design, tons of seating, and a very nice back patio some greenery. Reasonable though limited selection of drinks and minimal food options. Two areas for improvement: server could be friendlier, and the bathroom is untidy and a bit gross.
Been here 5mins and already in love. Great workspace. Quiet, clean tables and space, safe feeling, outdoor patio with sunlight and shade.
Bright clean spot for working. Probably 95% of the clientele are millenials using laptops. Sometimes music can be a little too loud, but doesnt take away from the five stars.
Served me an espresso done properly. Two different baristas at separate times both offered me a side shot of sparkling water to cleanse my palate before sipping the espresso. Cozy little patio out back as well.
Super cool spot to study or get work done. Really quiet and peaceful. Great staff!
I used to come here frequently on the weekends when I lived in the neighborhood, mainly to get some work done. The coffee/service can be a bit hit or miss depending on the barista, but the work environment is great. If youre trying to catch up with friends the outdoor patio might be more comfortable as it can be pretty quiet inside.
Cappuccino was too small for us and needed to be sweetened after. Theres plenty of places that offer perfectly made cappuccinos and much bigger. I loved the atmosphere outside but could use some stringed lights. Good location, a decent price I guess, maybe just a quarter too high?
Great place to sit and get work done. Especially with noise canceling earphones. But don’t get business meeting phone calls here. Just a little loud. But other than that. Coffee was great!!
Perfect for serious espresso lovers and study. Square & rectangular tables throughout (good for laptops and elbows), including 4 in the sidewalk-facing window nooks, a comfy chair and sofa by the fireplace (!), back patio that even has an outdoor outlet. There was fairly quiet music while I was there, and the noise level inside was pretty low. People are chattier on the patio.
Great coffee. A bit on the expensive side but never disappoints. Its worth every penny since its such a great environment to get work done.
This place brews tasty Ritual Roasters coffee and has a wonderful back patio. It is definitely a laptop scene, literally every single person on a MacBook almost every time Im there. Go here to get work done not catch up with an old friend.
Really great place to grab coffee! One of my favorites in San Francisco, especially if it’s for a coffee meeting. Plenty of space and great coffee.
Good number of tables and plugs. Music is at the right volume, perfect to concentrate. Food and drinks selection could be wider though. I always have to leave for lunch :/
My husband likes to hang here more than I do. For me, the seating is awkward and the ambiance not particularly friendly. I cant put my finger on it. But the coffee is high quality and the cookies are delish. Try the limeade if you dont want coffee.
WiFi very slow here. Beautiful wood decor. Clean, quiet, responsive staff, clean restrooms, nice outdoor seating/patio area.
Glad to see they are open again, 8am to 1pm.
Its the perfect place to bring your laptop, but that also makes it kind of dead inside. Coffee is fine, wifi isnt incredible. Back patio is dope, though!
Very good place and really quite but please increase your knowhow about brewing a good espresso...
The space is utilized perfectly. The minimalist design is appealing. The tables and seating options are vast but relatively close together. Cute. Good coffee.
The atmosphere invites you to work cause everyone have heads down working. However, internet access/speed is kind of sparse in the afternoons. Which makes it unreliable to come here for work. This needs to be definitely addressed by the owners as a tech cafe in the middle of SF!
The espresso drinks are are really good. I typically ask for almond milk which is a hit and miss at many places but they do it right. Theres outdoor seating in the back which is amazing in sunny days
Great coffee, and minimalist atmosphere. One of my favorite work spots in the Mission.
Good coffee. Very chill atmosphere and good working spaces. Big outdoor patio with lots of seating. Good power outlet availability throughout the indoor area.
Super chill spot to work with great light and music. Sweet staff and awesome back patio.
Good coffee, plenty of light and space. I had a popcorn chocolate chip cookie that really hit the spot. Friendly staff too :)
Nice to sit and get work done. Loved the patio. Staff was not friendly and hard to communicate with
Great little place to sit and work. Bright interior, decent espresso drinks, and with a patio in the back for when the weathers warm.
Too plain. It would be better to come up with a new menu and be creative
This is a nice relaxed place to grab a coffee and sit for a while. It doesnt have particularly comfortable seating but the environment is nice and the coffee is really really good. its a good alternative to something like Phils, which is always super crowded.
Cute place with good coffee and a patio.
A clean and comfortable backyard for chatting - when you can find seating.
The Coffee was excellent! The flavour was expectacular foamy and creamy... the service on the other hand not so good the barista was practicley kicking us out and rude with his tone
Even though it looks like a mac book store. The coffee is pretty good. Good place to chill and meet up with a friend.
The barista was friendly and welcoming, but the chai fell flat. The patio looked quite nice but everyone was inside due to smoky skies. My biggest complaint was how loud it was despite many people working. Maybe it was just the day!
A good, quiet place to get some work done. I highly recommend sitting outside in the back if weather permits. There are live chickens somewhere nearby FYI.
Was told I had to make a purchase to be there, which makes sense. Was then told there was no time limit on when I make the purchase, as long as its before they close, which also makes sense. Was then told that there was, in fact, a time limit on when I had to make the purchase. As a second time customer who made several purchases during my first visit, and fully intended to make a purchase on my second, Haus Coffee made me feel very unwelcome.Further, the restroom tends to be cold, dark, and dingy. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment.Across Folsom street you’ll find Philz Coffee, with more comfortable seating, and much warmer employees who welcome you in without harassing you for your business, as opposed to earning it in a respectful fashion.
Perfectly serviceable coffee - for me their brew is more of a caffeine delivery device. Simple clean decor. Bonus points for backyard seating free wiFi ~ great for co-working, maybe have the tea?
Espresso was decent. Didn’t get a good vibe from the owner (staff were great). Definitely feels out of place in the neighborhood.EDIT: WiFi is spotty
This is where I go on a Sunday morning when I have to get stuff done !! The music is fun and the coffee is amazing. My only problem is that the bathroom is a nightmare and some times I’m afraid my laptop might get stolen.
Haus Coffee is one of my favorite places to go do some quiet work because its a really calm place. A lot of laptops and young people, and its never too busy. Great location and great hours.
Love this place! Fantastic to come with a laptop and work a bit. Great art, nice garden and good music.
Great find when I was venturing out to find Balmy Ave. Looks like it would be a great place to work with a laptop (as that’s what everyone’s doing). Good Americano and good vibes here.
It was good! They played heavy metal music the whole time though, not really suited for the cafe
Maximally pretentious. Crazy expensive. I walked by dozens of times on my way to and from the BART and never entered. But I followed my friend inside once, and had to admit that Haus delivered everything youd want or expect from a bougie coffee shop: the barista acted as though taking my order inconvenienced him, the coffee was 4 or 5 bucks, the coffee tasted really good, and the backyard area was pretty nice.
Nice, minimalistic design. Not very loud, except music. Back patio is really nice. Free wifi, good spot to work in a cute hood.
My go to co-working space in mission! Great coffee, fast internet!
Coffee was just okay, and the barista was exceptionally snobby and rude, which I normally can accept for wonderful coffee. Alas, this was not the case for this shop. Definitely wont return.
Great coffeehouse. Using beans from Ritual Roasters. Beautiful space with plenty of seating.
Nice coffee... good woody space, with a patio. Crowd is hardcore people doing work
What a little gem in the Mission! The coffee is good, the wifi is fast, and the music is low key. Its a good place to come to get some work done or study. They have tables by their widows if you just want to watch ppl walk by and daydream, as well. The only think missing is there isnt any food! It would be nice if they had some pastries or bagels available to keep you going while you work. Other than that, its great a place and you should check it out.
Decent espresso drinks, good ambiance for working (so quiet! You better not talk too loudly)
Average coffee, very comfy and attractive spot to get some work done if you dont mind the loud music (and loop of same songs).
Extremely crowded all the time. Not worth visiting.
Nice coffeehouse to work in-- not too crowded, wifi, relaxed (note: as of 3 months ago, I havent been recently).
Very friendly staff, excellent spicy chai.
Wonderful Bauhaus-inspired interior design. Especially appreciated the well-executed blend of natural lighting from front and rear windows and warm, diffuse electric lighting. They had soft, plucked acoustic guitar playing on the weekday morning I was there and the barista was graciously gentle in speech and manner for the time of day and us customers obviously pre-caffeinated state. My Americano was quite good too. Will be coming back for sure.
Dont get me wrong, despite the silent library feel, this place makes good espresso-based coffees, the staff is friendly and it has a nice backyard. However, plonking a soulless Skandinavian-style café in the centre of the historic Latino district, without any consideration of the surroundings and local community, is just plain disrespectful and ignorant. And exactly why San Francisco is turning into a mediocre, homogeneous, norm-core place. Just like the crowd silently tapping away behind their laptops at Haus.
If you like laptops and sour espresso, come on down. If you enjoy coffee and conversation, look elsewhere.
Excellent but basic selection. Great, peaceful work environment.
