They just upgraded the look ands it’s pretty awesome. Plenty of comics, graphic novels and cool toys. Also one of the first shops to have enamel pins from local artist! Owner is cool as hell, he introduced to the Saga series! I believe they also do pop ups and they are involved with the community! Big ups!!!

Great place to stop by after your weekday commute or on the way back from a happy hour or dinner. If you love comics, illustrated novels this is for you. They have Marvel, DC, and a slew of independent and unexpected publishers and everything in between. They have toys, action figures, and other stuff. Used books ar usually 50% off.

I love this place ! Cool staff members. Very nice place to find comic books, action figures, posters and even a few shirts, I’ve went there a few times and it’s an amazing place. Cool little library section with some chairs, too bad we can’t stay there for now due to COVID-19 but so far I haven’t had any trouble. Bought a cool plastic Captain America Shield, some posters and some action figures and they’re amazing quality. Totally recommend going here since the staff know what they’re doing (: (my profile picture is inside that comic book store) lol

Cool spot, large variety of comics. Very cute and quaint. Had a seating area to enjoy a read if you chose to stay...and the person working the register was extremely helpful and seemed to truly enjoy her job or at least working there.

Cool no nonsense comic shop that sometimes carries figures. The store layout is really convenient and the shop is big enough to also carry a really cool and very complete collection of graphic novels. The patrons are also usually very helpful.

I love this comic shop because its welcoming, has a wonderful selection of non-super hero books and has many books placed with cover-out. So you can walk in and comfortably browse and find something inspiring or interesting youd not find another way.

I started going to Mission Comics when I first moved to San Francisco, four years ago. I was living in the Mission at the time, and this was the closest shop within walking distance. Even though I have long since moved to the Richmond district, this is still my go-to comic book store. I only buy trade paperbacks, but they usually have what Im looking for, and if its not in stock Leef is happy to order it for me and reach out to me when it arrives. Exceptional.

Always nice and tidy. Really nice workers. If you are looking for something awesome to read they always have new local sf comics or your common oldies but goodies.

One of my favorite comic shops in the city, Mission offers a wide variety of both popular and indie titles. The staff is always helpful too with lots of great recommendations if you’re looking for something new to read.

They have so many different comic books. A cool atmosphere. They hit who works here is really nice because I pop in all the time and never buy anything and never get the feeling Im unwanted.

Best (only?!) comics spot in The Mission. I guess the only other close option is the small graphic novel section at Borderlands Books.They have a comics library and rental program which is a great way to recycle your old comics/graphic novels.

I’m an absolute graphic novel junkie! Gotta have it!!! However, I will never step foot in this place again. EVER! The employee was more concerned with shoving food in his mouth and reading his merchandise than helping me and my son. We had to endure 20 minutes of what can only be described as A feeding frenzy, before we were helped, and then this charming individual had the audacity to inform us that what we wanted to buy wasn’t for sale... it was a display item.Oh! And there were seven of the same item!

Good local store for current comics and graphic novels. Staff wise, easy place to chew the fat about anything ranging from music to movies...and of course comics. No older back issues which is why I could only give 4 stars. Back issues are the best!

Compared to the old location: I really like this new spot. Its actually on the Mission now, and the store is no longer that weird Z-shape: Just a nice wide store with a great selection of comics for all ages and interests. If youre gonna become a frequent shopper, definitely consider the free FiveStars membership and earn points on purchases towards free stuff!

I loved it. Ive never seen so much variety: graphic novels, comics, posters, T-shirts. They have everything ever wanted in a comic book store. Wish I can go back sometime.

San Francisco seems particularly blessed when it comes to comic book stores and Mission Comics & Art is no exception. Awesome space in an awesome neighborhood with all sorts of titles ranging from indie/eclectic to mainstream capes and tights.And although I have only had one interaction with Leef, the owner, he was very cool and laid back and his recommendations turned out to be square on the money. If you are in the area and comics-inclined, this should definitely be on your hit-list of to-dos.

Its OK but for its location ..its Great. The only one on a main street in the general neighbourhood.EZ find a few near by fast food places and close to major transit lines. Fair selection of comics novels and toys. Got some good sales and a small library selection.

Love the selection of western comics and eastern manga. Awesome artistic vibe there that really plays into the culture of comics and its artistic depth. Plus they have Saturday morning cartoons every Saturday. What more could you want?

The gentleman helping me was very kind, i was just passing by and thought Id take a gander - specifically looking for tank girl and the crow comics (my ex threw out the original crow ones that wete signed by james obarr!!!) While the didnt have any crow comics, they did have a hardback tank girl one which is great so far, and I picked up some other cool things which of course, I didnt need...but I wanted! Would definitely recommend
