Bought a bunch of notions that are just too expensive at other local discount places, Amazon or the fabric chain formerly known as House of Fabrics. Ill be spending a bunch of money here! :)

Fabric outlet was of course fantastic.i got filling for the quilts im making. some more iron on letters and they have a box of individual letters(no S or E[of course we know this] but lots of 3s.3=E.)I mostly use letters from old shirts,hats etc but nice to have an easy iron on sometimes.I could stay in there all day.Everyone was nice and helpful.I will be back there for rotary cutter blades soon..

First the staff is extremely friendly and super helpful!!! Second everything is easy to find with lots of options. Third their low prices are great. Going back to the staff... they are so helpful with giving suggestions, opinions and much-needed instructions. I was there getting fabric to make face masks for myself and family and was starting from ground zero lol. I got everything I needed plus the necessary how-to information to make high quality, comfortable and astethically appealing masks. I love this store!! Definitely two thumbs up all the way around 👍👍

I am a beginner sewer, and didnt want to invest too much money in my first project in the event I made a mistake that I wouldnt be able to correct. Well Shelby at Fabric Outlet was EXTREMELY helpful and equally as pleasant. She took a considerable amount of time with helping me to complete my first project which was a pair of pajamas (that came out GREAT if I do say so myself). The variety of fabrics, notions, sewing accessories and the prices are unbeatable, AND EVERY single pattern is ONLY $2.99!!!! They have a loyal customer in me. I cant wait to return. Space has moved upstairs to the corner. I have been going here for about a year. They always have great fabrics, they are well organized and always helpful. I enjoy going in here and thinking of all the wonderful things I could make with all the beautiful fabric. They have wall to wall stacks of every kind of fabric you could want, with very large quantities, but they will cut it down, no matter how small you want it. I took several new pictures of the new place. If you live in the city, this is your go to spot for what you will need for sewing, minus the machine. If you have never sewn before the staff is very helpful with ideas and which fabrics to use. You will be full of ideas and look forward to coming back soon! Down sides, parking is in an issue in the bustling heart of the mission, and they do not have a public restroom. Sometimes the cutting line is long, but gives you a chance to chat to fellow artists.

Usually when it is open, there isnt a problem, although some of the shoppers can be rude, pushy and inconsiderate to others.However because of rhe Shelter in Place Directive, their website is absolutely useless, there is no way to order or even to look up any of the other necessities like thread, fasteners, zippers, buckles, needles, pins, or even shears. Its hopeless. Because of this I am forced to shop someplace else.

This place is the most incredible fabric shop I have ever been to. It is next door to their original location temporarily they will go back to their original location as soon as the retrofitting is done. This place is awesome. This place has the most incredible fabrics for every kind of application plus everything to go with the industry. The designs were spectacular the prices were reasonable. This is the real deal. I have lived in San Francisco since 2001 and I cant believe I am just now discovering this gem.

This is a wonderful fabric store. It beats the big box fabric stores any day. You go in a small door, down the stairs and discover its huge. All kinds of fabric, including lots of dressy pretty stuff, every kind of attachment you can name. Perfect if you just want to mend something, put together adornment, or make clothes. Its a favorite place for Halloween and general party sparklies. Plus, theres craft stuff and of course needles and thread. Very happy its here in San Francisco.

Good selection on anything sewing or craft related, but not bargain priced, considering the amazing volume of merchandise. I dont consider it a deal to find 40% off of prices that are stated to be originally more than 2 to 3 times higher than most other places charge... I suppose thats to make people feel theyre getting a deal.. Sorry, Im not a sucker for that trick. Having said that, if money is no object, its a fun place to go.for unusual decorative items and special finds.

A fabric shop in the city has never been this cool. Pricing is awesome compared to similar stores in San Francisco. The store is very clean and organized. Highly recommended!

Large selection of well-organized fabric, plus helpful and knowledgeable staff at this large store in the mission. While fun novelty fabrics seemed to dominate, there is a broad selection of apparel fabric, including dozens of knits, plus a whole section of decorator fabric. Worth visiting; give yourself time to browse.

Love this place!!!! Walk into this basement of fun where craft projects in your head become real. Everything from high quality expensive fabrics to cheap scraps for a bargain to a variety of accessories. Right before Burning Man this place looks like a wasteland, picked over by ravenous hippies. Worth walking through even if you dont need anything --- the sparkle fabrics are just fun to touch. Dont go to chain stores for your craft needs, go here!

I end up going here for most of my crafting project needs. Their prices are GREAT and theyve got an insane selection all different types of things. Theyve also got scrap bins you can pull from.Theyre 99% sewing stuff - I wish there were a few more crafting materials available, but still, I usually start here.

Place is huge and the customer service is great. Love the guys up front checking bags and always has a warm welcome to everyone that comes in. They have literally almost everything you need plus at a great price.

Staff is super helpful and friendly. Parking can normally be found on Mission or 17th-- Ive never had to park more than two blocks away. There is an elevator for stroller/wheelchair access.

Went in here knowing damn near nothing about what I needed, and the staff was extremely helpful in every way. Theyve got a huuuge selection, and everyone working there was very knowledgeable. If I had more sewing chops, I would probably use this as my go to fabric outlet. They just had their business running smoothly.

Staff was okay. No one offered to help me until I had been wandering around the store, struggling to find something for a couple of minutes. Beware that when paying with credit/debit cards, you will be asked for id. When I asked the cashier why they do this, they refused to answer the question aside from this is what we do. Stores who do this buy in to racist stereotypes about people in the area theyre in. Had they been located in FiDi or any other part of the city, customers would not be asked for ID. Will not be back.

Great little place to find a variety of fabrics on the cheap. Just wish the staff was a little friendlier- there are a couple of friendly ones but most of them just dont look like they want to be there.

I love fabric outlet the staff is great (some arent so friendly, but thats everywhere) the fabric selection is hip and modern and they generally have good deals. There are a few times I have left unsatisfied, but Im picky when it comes to fabric.

Fabric outlet is a great place for all your sewing needs (fabrics, needles, bobbins, etc). They have a little bit of knitting stuff, too, but not much because that isnt really their focus.
