Oh my goodness!!!There are rows and rows of fabric, poly, silk, cotton, flannel, embroidered, linen, and anything else you can think of.Theres a huge section of notions, including thread, needles, zippers, rulers of all kinds, and much, much more.I went on a late Sunday morning, and found some fabric I needed. The register area is protected behind plastic film and you must wear a mask to get in.As I was entering, two people left with their purchases, so I was the only one in there except for the people working there. As I left, another person came in, so I felt pretty good about visiting in these times. The only negative for me is that it is located across the bay and Ill have to cross a bridge, but I will be visiting again!!It is located in a warehouse, so it might be easy to miss if you dont know its there.I just wish I had remembered to take some photos.
Just wow! Plan on spending hours marveling at the huge selection of fabrics, trim, and sewing supplies. Easy to get here from SF, and lots of parking. Great staff. inspiring prices will let your imagination go wild, because you can afford to experiment with something new to create for yourself or your home.
This is a good store. Ive been going here since it was on 9th st. The new spot Cesar Chavez, is a little disorganized and the little signage is barely noticeable. There is no help so they really need clear signage. Prices are moderate but much lower than Britex. They have some of the same fabrications, you have to hunt for them; but still worth the trip.
Great selection from silk to cotton to leather. Lots of trim and buttons, dye, elastic, you name it. Well organized and staff friendly and helpful. I love this place!
The people there are just great they gave me exactly what I needed even though I had a lot of
I found leather at a great price.
I love this place. They have very good quality fabric at great prices. I never leave empty handed
A gem of a find in otherwise expensive San Francisco. Its one of my happy places. Great selection of passementerie.
This store is in a large warehouse setting with row after long row of tall shelves with very possible fabric type. In addition to thread, ribbon, buttons and sewing tools and supplies. In addition to what seem like reasonable prices they have a close out section with prices so low its tempting to buy and decide on what to make with it later.
So much fabric to choose from, any supplies you could possibly need, and ample parking :)
The assortment of fabrics is mind blowing.
Different selection of fabrics. I can always find the right combo of color and material without going broke. Extensive collection of ribbon/trim and if you arent too particular about color, you can get good zippers for almost nothing.
Giant selection of fabrics / pillow inserts / any sewing needs. Great service!
Nice yarns and materials. One woman was sweet, one looked a little startled that I was there and one was spinning away. I enjoyed my look. The prices almost caused a heart attack. Cool storefront.
I love this place.. they have the greatest selection of fabrics under the sun... you will never leave this place empty handed and I am sure you will find what your looking for if not something even better.. great place for making home improvement for buy fabric for 100 pillows for your restaurant like I have to... knowable staff and quick lines.. never crowded and fresh smelling textiles..
This is one of those fabric stores that you want to schedule time to peruse all of the different fabric. So much variety and its very organized. Its good for quick shopping trips as well if you know exactly what you want. The staff is laid back and always available to assist.Plenty of parking and not in a busy part of the city, so you dont have the worry about the usual stress that comes with shopping in SF.
Came here after browsing through several online reviews. Found some really nice batik quilt fabrics - the trip was well worth it! Staff was also attentive and helpful.
Great eastern aisan food, there were a lot of people when we arrived there. The chicken was great. Would love to go there more.
If you would like to import fabric or clothing from china we could help you ! whatsapp: +1(814)51509040
Linda Blake is an amazing woman. Her business is great her customer service is fantastic. I suggest anyone wanting Discount Fabrics to purchase from her. She has everything you need! Great experience and will return in the future.Kari Della-Rocco
Went here with the Husband. He gave her a very good deal on the fabrics she picked up and also was able to make recommendations. One of the best stores in the Garment District in terms of prices and inventory - I should know as I probably went to at least a dozen of them.
Very friendly staff that was knowledgeable about their products and showed a genuine interest in their customers projects. the giant warehouse has tons of free parking, massive amounts of assessories, sewing and craft tools, amazing staff, reasonable prices, and huge selection of fabrics and other materials.
Bulk fabric, good selection, has a parking lot, and cheap. What else do you want?
I love fabric and this is the place to get it. Get there early so you can have the place to yourself. And everyone is friendly and helpful.
Everything under the sun here! Leather, cordura, linen, canvas and silk. Good prices and great service always.
I am satisfied with this place after struggling on the websites to find fabrics I was looking for. Great service too👍
Great place... Huge selection... Nice staff... Low prices... Good deals. Good parking. Needs BETTER street signage!
Friendly staff, you can find most things you would need. Recommended.
Great customer service
Fantastic selection of a huge variety of fabrics, notions & other supplies; great signage INSIDE (a little scant on the signage outside), great customer service, easy access and PARKING. I will definitely be both returning and recommending.
Amazing store. Very versatile, great prices and fabric quality.
Tons of fabrics. If you have ever seen Project Runway then it is like Moods. Bolt after bolt of 54-60 materials from lacy and sequined to flannel and fur.
I prefer this location to the Berkeley one. It seems a tad bit more organized and I tend to find better deals here. But advice to anyone working on a project- go shopping here with a really open mind and youll find some deals and interestung fabrics, but if you have a specific fabric in mind usually it wont be cheaper than another fabric store with a coupon/sale.
Good place for fabrics and notions
Its a real hunt to find the right material for your project but this place will probably have it. Lots of really good material priced way below retail. Customer service is ok. They may point you in the right direction but I dont see much involvement beyond that.
I have been working with Kashi, the owner of Discount Fabrics Corp. for 9 years. His prices are the best and he knows his fabrics. He gets in great fabrics from Italy besides the basics. I can call him up and order over the phone. Most of us in the business go to Kashis first before any other store in San Francisco. I have taken groups of sewing students to his business and all come away pleased with their fabric selections. He will even mail their packages home.
Good selection of upholstery fabrics, silks,
Friendly service and a huge inventory. Very clean and organized. Bolts labeled well. Enjoy browsing and dreaming of your finished project.
It is a HUGE warehouse full of all kinds of cloth and notions. For the professional and hobbyist sewer this is a great resource.
Wish I could give them more stars. Really friendly helpful staff. They go out of their way to help you.
Have tons of variety, prepare to dig. NOT the place if you need help with your project, but PERFECT if you already know what you need. Please be polite to staff! Acting entitled will force you to wait.
Great Gem!
Very helpful staff, and they have just about any type/color of fabric you can think of. Dont drive by it. Its in an unassuming warehouse complex with a large parking lot.
I love this place, been doing business with them since they were on Mission street. I bought some upholstery fabric that was marked down from $35 a yard to $2 a yard. I redid the sitting cushions for two couches for $10
Hidden gem with good prices on a variety of craft supplies and lots of fabric
Amazing place for getting large quantities of fabric for fashion apparel or interior.
An amazing fabric selection; I could spend hours here. Prices are good discount and staff is helpful tho there arent enough staff to help schlepping bolts up to the cutting counter
Aisles and aisles of great fabrics, from lace and sequins to leather, this place has it all! And at a discounted price! Check it out!
Best selection of fabrics at low prices in SF!
Even if you dont do sewing, its still a fabulous place.lots of fabric lots of everything else, you can dream of something for yourself or your home.Maybe someone will sew it for you.
So much to choose from in fabrics at such amazing prices! Awesome to also get student discount!
This place is the best for cheap fabrics and notions in the SF area. Most fabrics are cheap, they have plenty of trims and elastics. It is slightly staffed so be prepared to be patient when waiting to check out or cut fabric
Tons of supplies. Reasonably priced.Often the staff is still in training and I find myself waiting longer than Id like, but they are very sweet.
I love this store! So much selection, and parking too!
Decent selection. Very cold inside. Fabrics are decent but only slightly cheaper than a joannes.
Good prices. Selection is okay. Almost everything you need. Buttons upholstery fabric, silk, Satin, even San Francisco Giants fabric.
Love This fabric store.yea and its open on Sundays.
Great selection of fabrics, notions and whatever you need to start a project. Really good prices.
Great customer service. Excellent selections.
Nice place, found everything I needed. Theres a huge empty parking lot in front of it. Look for Discount Fabrics on your right.
I have been so lucky here with my fabric finds.
I love to come here every time I visit San Francisco. So much variety!
Clean and organized. Helpful staff who are eager to help you find exactly what you need.
I went here to day for the first time. THEY HAVE PARKING! this is a huge plus for me. The staff was very friendly and nice to me and my little dog. I did keep him in the cart, but no one seemed to mind he was in the store. If you know what you need and how to do your project this is a great place. The prices are normal I would say. I think the discounts really come if you buy in bulk. They have 2 prices listed on the fabric. One is by the yard and one is by the yard if you buy the whole roll. For example: I bought some crème colored faux leather at $16.78 a yard, but if I needed the whole roll (17 yards, which is also written on the roll, however Im not sure how often they update this because she did not change the number after I got my 2.5 yards) I would have paid 14.50 per yard. They have student discounts and other discount days, so overall I would say this place is great. Nice selection and friendly staff. But dont be in hurry because I did have to wait a while to get my stuff cut. There were two Fashion students and a cute little White lady with 10 things of African pattern fabric in front of me lol. I ended up helping a little cause I was just standing there.
I got really nice fabrics for a good price
Good selection almost over whelming! Wish they had been able to stay in 4th st. Where they are is difficult to get to in transit.
Large selection of fabrics at affordable prices, and open 7 days a week.
They had a wide selection of fabrics at really good prices.
Impresive inventory. Reasonably priced.
Great selection and reasonably priced. Sometimes can be a hit or miss though.
Nice people nice place to browse and choose...
The staff is so wonderful here!!!! Incredibly friendly, helpful, and plus the store itself has quite the collection!
Excellent service, great prices and the fabrics are gougeus!
Great selection... could do better with pricing.
Nice selection of goods. Helpful staff.
Great for some of the sewing accessories, such as thread, stuffing, or zippers. There are also loads of crazy fabrics in the back if you dare.
Keep an eye on when the stuff cut the fabric, i bought a fabric 1.5yards, but when i back home, i found, one side 48 inches only, when i back to the store for return, the same stuff didnt happy to replace!!!There are 2 prices(original and discount price) on the fabric, i suppose it should be the discount price when i bought the fabrics, but when i look at the bill after i back home, i found they charge the non-discount price. Which is about 20-30%.I like this store, but i will be more careful next time.....
Awesome place to browse.
Great prices, a huge warehouse full of fabrics, trims, notions and more.
Great fabric at great prices, and awesome customer service to boot. They helped me with my new project!
Nice fabric store great prices
Great place you can find anything
Big place, lots of great fabric selections.
Wide Selection. Easy access and parking.
I’m not sure how the scraps be actually priced, a staff told me 30cents, 50cents or 99cents, but I bought 3 really small scraps and a big one cost me 7 dollars more...by another staff.🤨This price I can buy 2 yards of a regular fabrics!
Can be more expensive per yard than large chains like micheals or joanns
Great selection at good prices
Love it. Wish it was closer to the city.
So helpful! Thank you!
Not big on service, but they have whatcha need
Excellent selection, super helpful staff
Great prices, amazing selection.
They have so much for all my craft needs
