Great tea and spices! All the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly which made for a nice experience. If your a tea person, you can select from tons of diffrent teas and sugars and they can custom make it for you! I would highly reccomend.

Best shop on the pier for me. Staff was really helpful and fun. Quality of items in the store was stellar. They are great for visiting if you want a tea for later or to get one of their brewed teas to drink. Spices and sugars ensure theres something for everyone when you visit.

It’s a nice, boutique tea shop that offers a variety of fun tea blends and hot/cold tea drinks. Like everything on Pier 39, their goods are priced high. $6 for a tea with no boba, no milk, and barely any sweetness (I don’t like stevia at all) makes me question that their pricing. All but one staff we encountered was engaging and friendly. Be aware that some of the staff are transgender.

Im not a tea drinker but this place made me start loving it! The creme brulee with the butterscotch sugar is a must! The employees were very polite, knowledgeable,and very welcoming. Definitely a spot to visit if you love tea and spice.

This Tea shop has an assortment of fabulous teas! I love the way the shop is set up “small & cute” with every tea you can think of & the aromas draw you in every direction. Every time I visit San Francisco I make sure a stop by to stock up, I would give it a 5 star rating, however the staff is RUDE they follow you around even after you told them ‘I’m ok, I know what I’m looking for’ and to top it off I had a handful of tea bags and when purchasing I wasn’t advice of their promo “buy 5 get 1 free” by the cashier. I was about to proceed to pay when another customer behind me told me I can get one free because I had 5 tea bags. I asked the cashier If I qualify for that promo and she got bothered by me asking she rolled her eyes and said “yeah” with a huff under her breath. Needless, to say I was disappointed as I come here when visiting. I’ll have to find another tea shop.

The staff here was incredibly friendly and the choice of spices, teas and other products is pretty large. Good for gifts.

We love this place. Even living in Switzerland we order regularly. Shipment no issue, just easy peasy. Try Tuscany Spyce Blend with olive oil and fresh bread - just mouthwatering, awesome!

Amazing customer service! I was in for the holidays and purchased a dozen or so of the flavored sugars (rose sugar, espresso sugar, apple pie sugar-- yum!) for co-workers. They were festive little gifts, and were a huge hit! But then I left a bag in the store -- a unique puzzle that was purchased from the store across the pier -- and got on my flight to Los Angeles. The sweet staff at Spice & Tea Exchange went above and beyond to find the puzzle bag and mail it to me. It made it in time for the holiday! Great products and above and beyond customer service!

Such a cute little store with tons of spices and loose tea!! The Jasmine tea is by far my favorite. Next time, Ill try out some of the various spices they have. In this store, youre able to smell the teas and spices. Just ask!!

They have an amazing selection of some absolutely wonderful teas and spices and seasoning mixes. The staff member was very helpful and super friendly. I will definitely be going back, so much I NEED to try!!!

So many flavors of tea and spice! I felt like I was in spice heaven! My daughter likes the Jasmine Pearl tea and I like the Ginger and Tumeric! I also like the honey spoons! Its worth going in and checking it out on Pier 39 in San Francisco! Oh yeah, they also have herb pencils that you can plant, after you use them, to have fresh herbs at your fingertips! How awesome is that? 😃

Wonderful little stop upstairs on Pier 39. The Spice and Tea Exchange has local and far off tea and spice blends, perfect out-of-the-box souvenirs for friends and family. I stopped in this week before heading home and picked up their spiced ham rub and turkey blend as a souvenir for my mom who was house-sitting. Great thank you before the holidays. All of the staff are very friendly and willing to help, offer advice and feedback. Although theyre not in my backyard, they ship throughout the US.

Absolutely fantastic place to go for tea! They can brew you a cup of whatever tea, sugar and spice type youd like. The coconut sugar had me wanting to come back! You can purchase tea, spices and a range of types of sugar to take home too of course - they have more types of sugar than I knew existed! If youre heading to the pier, youve gotta come here and try it!

A little expensive but nothing less a awesome. The people that work here are super helpful and allow tasting of the salt, spice and sugar blends they sell. I walked out with 6 different blends. I just couldnt help myself. Im sure once I run out of the blends I bought Ill be back for more.

The manager Kyle is helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I havent been to Fishermans Wharf / Pier 39 in a long time. Loved seeing the Christmas decorations, too. Definitely worth the trip for high quality spices and teas.

Awesome store, extremely friendly staff as well. The smell in the store from all the spices was very aromatic. It has a good selection of teas as well, though the tea did seem a little over-priced. Its understandble given that they are a small store. This store is a great addition to pier 39.

Expected a larger tea selection. Did not have tea bags available. Clerk was helpful in suggesting an alternative, however tea bags were needed instead.

We visit here every time we are in Frisco. Love the fresh smell of spice! We get the spices we dont normally find at home. Great service too!!

Great experience sampling wonderful blends, spices, teas and rubs. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and this shop is a definite stop for folks who love to cook. Their truffle salt (very popular) and espresso rub (a terrific meat tenderizer) are two of my favorites. For holidays and special occasions, a sampler of their products makes a terrific gift.

Was not impressed with this store. I was actually depressed. I was not greeted when I came in the door. When I walked over to the tea area they only had about 7 teas to choose from. This store is not properly serviced. This lets me know that the owners really don’t care about you as a customer or the business at all. Then again we are talking about California and everything and everybody travel to a different tune out here. Coming from a family who owns multiple stores in this business this store was very disappointing. I’m not sure I’d like to come back.

Really cool selection of salts, peppers,meat rubs, pepper grinders ect

They have lots of little jars so you can smell the spices. Then they have packages of items so you can grab spice mixes/blends. My favorite is the Thai red curry mix. I actually dont use it for curry, but i put it on pork chops, let it marinate for 24 hrs and fry them up in a pan. We tend to get difference spices here to try and we havent been disappointed.

The Mystic Dragon is my favorite tea. I always have to stop by here to get some when Im in SF.
