Its an Asian heaven in SF!!! Been to SF many time and how on earth I have just found this place. Wide range + great prices. If you love Asian food especially Korean, seriously, go support this small (but PACKED) grocery so they can be there for us to enjoy just forever!I grabbed a few of their homemade food as well, so yum!- Way Beyond Pad Thai -
Complete korean food in this store. Love the kimchi
Dont be fooled by how small Woori Foods is... They have everything you need! A carefully curated selection of products, very fairly priced (with the added bonus of specially selected items on offer at a discount each time you visit), and notably, a friendly, helpful, patient staff, if youre looking for Korean foods - groceries and sundries or prepared, ready-to-eat foods (even some housemade dishes) this is the place to go!
For a relatively small store, Woori has all the essentials you need for Korean cooking. Their prepared foods are very fresh and tasty. Products are not much more expensive than hmart or kukje. Friendly staff. The aisles are very small, so would try to go at non rush hour. Less fresh meat selection, mostly frozen.
Small and convenient, you can get all kinds of Korean food, the deli items are freshly prepare everyday
Small but well stocked korean market. Narrow aisles with stuff in both sides.
Love their interesting stuff...
These are some of the hardest working women and men that Ive seen running this little Korean store. Even though the store is small, they have everything you need. The prices for groceries are also much more reasonable than Nijiya market and sometimes even better than Safeway next door. They have a lot of Korean products you cant find at the nearby stores. They have some cooked prepared food in the store such as kimbap and fried chicken. The kimbap tastes okay, not too amazing for the price, a little expensive. The store can get crowded at times and they do not control how many people they let in.
All the Korean staples in one small but mighty shop, love the premade kimbap rolls and marinated meats to take home to cook yourself.
Favorite store for tasty snacks. Gimbap is fantastic. Honestly so much good stuff in the small store I always come out with a couple bags
Can get some Korean grocery, if you like them.
A wide variety of Korean and Asian foods reasonably priced.
They have the best kimchi and side dishes. Staff are so nice and polite.
Tiny store but fully stocked with a variety of groceries, drinks, marinated meats, banchon and some prepared foods like gimbap. Can be cramped as the aisles are narrow, but always a fun experience. Quick and friendly staff at the checkout counter.
Who loves Korean grocery has to visit this grocery store! Such a nice collection and display of a variety of foods. Veggies were super fresh too. Highly recommended!! Much much better than the vacant Hmart places down San Jose.
They keep selling things that expired. Make sure to check expiration date esp if items are on sale or on some easy-to-see counter.
The store is a bit too small and also in a very crowded neighborhood
Foods r little bit high than other super.
They have a lot of Korean cooking and alcohol necessities, but if you’re looking for some more niche Chinese/Japanese stuff, you might not find it here. For instance, they don’t have much variety in Chinese hotpot sauces and ingredients.
I love to shop here. But today I am not happy with the quality of the food. I bought kimchi, anchovies stir fried and fishcake stir fried. Usually I never checked the expiration date, I just grabbed without checking them. I taste the kimchi is so stale and super sour. The expiration date of the anchovy was 22 September and fishcake is today. I was surprised they still selling these not fresh food. They should check expiration dates on them. For the owner : please make sure your food are fresh and dont sell expired food.
So happy!! This Korean grocery store was not only open but it also had our much needed Filipino lumpia wrappers. Thank you for carrying a variety of Asian ingredients in the neighborhood! #Grateful
Compact but has everything you need to cook Korean food. Stocked & organized well. Perfect for your K food shopping in the city!
Very friendly & accomodating.
Fresh produce and lots of korean staples!
Pretty decent place. Good back up when nijiya market line is to long. I enjoyed the premade meals as well, really good. You can definitely tell the Korean influence in the food.
I come here specifically to buy carbonara flavor samyang super spicy instant noodles. Woori always has it in stock and they even expanded their offerings to include samyang fried rice (frozen) and samyang sauces!! I feel so understood as a customer
Small but plenty of selection.
All the essential K ingredients, and many authentic K brands I used to love when I lived in Seoul. Overpriced, but in the usual American way, you wont get a better deal elsewhere. This is our spot in SF for K groceries, and has been for a few years, and were grateful! Maybe skip the hot food though... a little pricey compared to quality... might as well takeout from your local k restaurant.
A small store, its stocked with a decent variety of things: veggies, frozen meats, wide variety of drinks and noodles.Theres also prepared foods near the entrance (ex: various flavours of kimbap, wings, boiled pork, soups, japchae, etc) that are all pretty tasty. They also sell a variety of banchan (ex: spinach, radishes, fishcakes, bean sprouts).
I always have a great time coming here. The staff are really friendly towards me and some even teach me more Korean (Im a black female so haha) they have such good Korean snacks and food, and offer tips on how to cook certain items. And even if they didnt, theyre still willing to answer questions you have and are really kind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for snacks or Korean foods! Its a small place, but its still nice!
Love this place, especially their cooked food section. Their cod cakes are definitely with a visit. A lot of things to try here, weve just started exploring the various dishes here
Good selection of authentic Korean ingredients, and surprisingly good in-store prepared carry-out food. I especially like their glazed chicken wings and marinated pork hock. Good fresh produce. Probably best in quality in SF for Korean grocer.
Impressive selection of instant noodles, spices, frozen foods, and snacks/candy/alcohol. Crammed into a tight little store! So cute Korean girls were always saying excuse me and squeezing by while I stared at everything making my calculated vegetarian selections.
I love this place a lot when I used to live at Fillmore center..they sell all kind of Korean stuff
The people that work here are super nice! Prices are equivalent to the Japanese super market near by but when they have a sale here its definitely cheaper. Place is small but they have majority of all the things you need to make Korean food! Highly rated!
Great place to get Korean groceries and lots of premade meals available at the front too. Fun to go browse and then have a Korean themed cooking night! Lots of easy ready made sauces and meal kits!
Good place
Great place for korean groceries.
Its a small store, yet carries all the essentials for Korean cooking, plus a good selection of prepared dishes and snacks. Ive always found what I was looking for.
Love this place when i cook korean food i find all i need here ..
This space is wonderful! *Super* casual, paper plates, etc, but the food is so good, totally worth it!! I would highly recommend it.
Friendly staff. They have a pretty good selection of Korean goods. Some of their prepared / marinated foods looked a little old though. Not sure how long they had been sitting in the refrigerator. Their banchan looked very fresh though.
I love Korean food. If you are kimchi obsessed, they have a variety amongst other yummy snacks. Definitely recommended.
Really solid Korean market with reasonable prices. Has most things youre looking for. Definitely my go-to.
Live in SF? Need Korean grocery? Well then, this is your spot! Youll find that this store is surprisingly fully stocked - with almost all ingredients youll need to make a Korean dish. The only reason Im giving a 4 star (vs 5) is because of their pre-made food. They are good - but sometimes they might be a bit old, and go bad a bit too quickly :(
Though the store is small, it’s got all the Korean essentials! They make their own kimchi which is very tasty. Everything is fairly priced and you can find pretty much anything you’ll need. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice Store For Asian Foods, With Reasonable Prices. However, Some Employees Have Bad Attitudes. Shop On A Thursday Or Friday. Its The End Of The Week, And Everyone Is Nicer. Lol
Super nice owner. We were in a rush and forgot one bag of groceries. The owner dropped it off on his way home and wouldnt even accept tip! Amazing customer service
For a small store, they carry almost everything what the big markets carry, so its very convenient
Good korean food items
A small but well known Korean grocery chain more popular in Southern California. Im always able to find 80% of what I want and can hop over to Safeway, just minutes away, for anything else.
Best selection of Japanese/Korean foods: red bean, kimchi and more! They have pre-made food, lunch/dinner meals and dried persimmons. I do my shopping here anytime Im in Japantown. They also have a membership card where you can use points for discounts.
I have been here years ago and happy to see this store is still here, it is the only shop I can get specialty Korean and other cooking ingredients for unique asian dishes I like to make at home. They have a lot of prepared hot food quick to pick up at the front, like kimchi rolls, or fast-to-make pre-prepared meals in the fridges and freezers in the back for less than you would spend on takeout. On this trip I made chicken cutlets and udon noodles for two people in 15 min for under $20, and got a nice dessert with that price included. The staff were very polite and fast.Parking was tricky to find due to minimal street spots - walking away from the store, I noticed all the foot traffic flowed to the safeway parking lot behind, hah!
Excellent Korean Supermarket, fresh kimchi and meat section, convenient hot food to go section, good produce.
Great selection. Must visit to stock up on Korean food
New ownership is better, clean, better staffed. Its always great to visit here
Great Korean market. Despite a small space they have a great selection included a nice number of prepared foods
Prices are decent considering its SF. The owner who runs the cashier is very sweet and kind. Its pretty much the only Korean grocery store in the city so it fills a void for sure, but if youre willing to go out of the city, Kukje in Daly City and KP in Oakland are bigger and more affordable options.
I love this store. They have premade kimchi fried rice, gim bap, korean glass noodles and onigiri which I love to grab for a quick and tasty lunch.
Good place to get some Korean stuffs in SF
A small Korean grocery store in the city that has all the necessities. They also have a lot of homemade 반찬 that are great.
One of the best markets in town! Relatively affordable with great sales and pretty good selection for korean cooking.
Great food, great snacks, everything is reasonable priced, majority of customers are Koreans, attesting to their authenticity.Location: right in the middle of Filmore, across JapantownAmbience: small and filled to the brim with good stuff that one is extremely familiar when visiting Seoul. Navigating through the aisle can be tricky but it has everything that you would need, and some of the be most beloved goodies to make awesome Korean Food.F&B: tried their japchae which is not too salty. Burdok well marinated and cant wait to taste their tofu!Service: great and nice.
I always come here to buy Korean food such as Kimchi, Gimbap, and other Korean seasonings. The store has Korean homemade food that they cook fresh every early morning. The price is cheaper than other market for everything. I recommend people to come here if they are looking for a good reasonable price, fresh vegetable and delicious Korean deli.
Good food.... my go to place when I crave for korean foods and snacks
Great convenient location for korean staples. Little pricey especially veggies and some of the frozen pork/beef look like been long time since they were mooing and oinking. Friendly staff and decent hours except it closes early at 8pm on sunday.
I went there a few times, but will not go there again. Some frozen food was not fresh, almost out of expiration date. Overall, the food was not as health and clean as those at Nijiya.Korean is not Japanese, the way they do things is definitely down below the standard line. Their so-called manner is quite fake. Cashers are Koreans, but they do need to learn proper manner, not just staring at customers with bias, disrespectful facial expression; lots of Korean people in South Korea have the same type of bad habits.Korean people set themselves on a bar that they do not belong to.
Super good service and great grocery’s if you like Korean stuff
One of my favorite markets. Excellent selection and customer service.
This is my go-to Korean supermarket in SF. Even though its a relatively small supermarket, it has all the necessary Korean groceries. The staffs are really nice and kind too.
Got some kimchi and pickled vegetables. Really good
Good place for Korean groceries in SF. Kimchee, seasoning, Asian vegetables such as baby Napa. Also, there is section for hot food like Korean sushi which can be beef, fishcake, or radish.
Workers are very nice and friendly. Its a small store but you can find new Korean products.
You can find everything korean. The people are so friendly and helpful with my recipes.
Friendly service, variety selections and reasonable price - sometimes cheaper.
This grocery market is not big but they carry many different kinds of food and housedold items. Prices are very reasonable.
Small Korean grocery with surprisingly wide selection and well made Korean side dishes.
Well I have been offered a Woori card yet. Whats up with that?
Small but have pretty much everything
Staff is great and go here for homemade kimchi and other fermented foods. The best.
Great little Korean store with all the basics and then some.
Always friendly and helpful staff.
Was a great experience. Very clean and very friendly.
Awesome local spot for asian groceries with really friendly staff. Less crowded, better prices than Nijiya and Safeway. Awesome deli with fresh food made everyday (tried the fried fish and the broiled pork). Their house kimchi is also amazing.
Great local Korean market
Cute little korean grocery in Japan Town... They have prepared food and is in a cool location
$4 soju and good convenience store Korean meals
Weird entrance/exit flow makes it hard to browse in the popular prepared foods aisle.
Not better than kukje super market but great alternative options for SF downtonwers! Quick notice is do not leave your debit cards lol! Seen it before :)
Clean, has good range of Korean food.
Fresh Koren foods; dried noodles & seaweeds, fresh vegetables, Korean condiments, sweets, breads, sushi & variety of kimuchi.
Good for Korean grocery supplies in a pinch. Decent banchans and reasonable price.
They have a good selection of Korean food made fresh everyday (kim bap, jap chae, mandu, seafood pancakes, etc) and at reasonable prices.
