If you like quality imbibment then The San Francisco Wine Tasting is the place for you. Its a small out of the way boutique that caters to all walks of lushery. I showed up with a $100 gift certificate that was burning a hole in my pocket and they took excellent care of me. I spoke with the whiskey sommelier and left with a Sexton Irish Wiskey, a Smoke Wagon Burbon, and a 1888 Rum. They were all SUPERB and punched way above their weight. Thank You, Thank You and Thank You again for your perfect recommendations. I will be back for more.

They are deserving of high marks! This was a fantastic spot for a wine shop. My family had hoped to sample some of their fine wines. They had to come back, I was told, because it was a good one. This wine shop has a lot of various wines to choose from. From white wine, which is my favorite to red wine and champagne as well. Also, you could taste their very own wine, which was placed in a barrel. Aside from wines, they had also beers that you can try. The place was so relaxing and elegant as well. The experience was really cool! Theyve got a large range of wines, liquor, and beer. They also have free samples that you can test on the various items they have. Overall, the experience was pretty good. Employees are always welcoming and recently led us to an exceptionally good tasting. This is a great shop for wine! Highly advised!

James is a very interesting person to talk with, and he is excellently knowledgeable about the area and the products he has on offer. This is a really good business, well operated and great service. The people that work here really care about making sure you are pleased with their service. My 1st order wasn’t complete, but it may have had more to do with the way I ordered being my 1st time navigating their site. When I called they picked right up and put me in touch with a very helpful member of their staff who got right on it and actually air freighted my item along with another order I placed, at their expense and I didn’t even ask. Seeing reviews from other online stores similar to this makes it clear that these folks set themselves apart from the pack. Keep it up!

Youll find wines from Georgia, Greece and from regions of Spain, France and other places youd never expect to find. Selectiin of spirits are limited but the section is well curated.

I LOVE this place! One of the last fairly priced establishments in the City. Everyone is always so helpful and their staff is always impressing me with their knowledge of spirits.

If their prices were a little lower Id easily give these guys five stars. Local neighborhood wine shop willing to work with you to find your perfect bottle for the perfect occasion. Their weekly tastings are great value and an awesome opportunity to try things you wouldnt normally get the chance to try. Seems like their focus is producers.that put a little more thought into their product. Biodynamic or organically farmed wines are easy to find here.

Ive ordered from them a few times and only bottle has had a problem. I let them know and they responded within 24 hours that they would be sending a replacement (note: I didnt even request a replacement, I just merely wanted to let them know the wine they had may have gone bad).Fantastic company. We are Cellar club members and we go to almost every tasting on Saturday and Sunday. Gary, Julia, Austin and Kerry are extremely knowledgeable about everything in the store and take the time to find something that matches your price point and taste. Always a great time and a pleasant experience when we stop in. Their weekend tastings are very diverse and have helped immensely in developing our palettes.

Great selection, price and advice. Heard about a champion cocktail on NPR had like 5 liquors, some I had never heard of. I showed them the article and they had it all. There is a tendency to think that you can only get a decent price in a big chain like bevmo, but their prices are totally fair.

I know very little about wine. When I go to the San Francisco Wine Trading Co. I feel very special. Gary and Julia Marcaletti as well as everyone working there are so knowledgeable about wine; I dont really have to know anything. I come in with what Im eating and voila a perfect wine is selected that pares with my meal and at a price that I can afford. Expertise and value is what they deliver time and time again. Fantastic neighborhood wine shop serving the West Portal/Forest Hill/Parkside/Golden Gate Heights area.They carry a great selection of wines from around the world, with an excellent selection in the $20 and under range for those looking for a more affordable selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. SFWTC has a small selection of cheese, liquors (many batch distilled), and beers for people wanting to round out their wine purchases.Tastings are a highlight here. These $10 events on Saturdays and Sundays offer a chance to hang out and try new wines. They frequently have free treats--one of the highlights in the past was excellent paella made just outside the shop. Ive bought quite a few wines after being turned onto them at the tastings.With a one-two stop at Guerra Meats and SFWTC, my picnic or home-based happy hour is complete!Also street parking is relatively easy.
