Rude customer service when calling for a quote location appears clean as evidence by view from outside. However I will not be touring the facility as I was turned off by the over the phone customer service.

Very nice, clean, facility. Everyone very friendly; unlike the U-Haul places and other storages Ive been to. They do have reduced hours for major holidays so be aware, but that just shows me they take care of their workers

The process from start to finish was very well organized and thorough by the entire office staff. Whenever I have a specific request or question, everyone is extremely attentive and helps to get it resolved right away. They even go above and beyond and have helped me move items and rearrange my unit as needed. I have even had an employee stay with me after his working hours one evening recently to get items transferred to another unit I moved into! Everyone is extremely professional, caring and want to find a solution that works best for you.Billing/Pricing: 5 stars! Billing can be set up automatically and invoices or documents are always sent on time and they are willing to work with you in whatever way is best for your personal preferences. Pricing is on fixed rates so it does not fluctuate or have any surprise charges.Cleanliness: 5 stars! The space is extremely clean. Every employee is very well aware of what goes on at all times in the building and is quick to fix or clean anything that happens. The staff has taken COVID seriously and offers are the necessary precautions. They even decorate the office with each season or holiday which is an extra treat. Since it is an enclosed building there are no concerns with weather damage or birds which can be a challenge at other storage sites.Space/Organization: 5 stars! The space is clearly laid out, spacious, and has a good flow. With two large elevators and many large moving carts I never have to wait for a cart or elevator when on site.All of my colleagues and I have LOVED this storage site and staff ever since we started, and will never leave as long as our storage units for work are necessary. Been renting a basement storage space here for almost a year.

Great location in the city and very safe / secure / super clean

For the past 2 weeks I went in and out of the store about 6 different times and bought varies moving items from SOMA self-storage. The Quality of boxes was not great, easily damaged and pricing was expensive.Most important thing to highlight from my experience is the bad customer service from Mark- the Service Attendant Manager, as when requested assistant to the car by opening the store entrance door, he declined and did not offer any of his staff to assist. His tone was rude and unwelcoming, along with team of staff who was not busy at the time and did not offer to help. I was quite shocked at the lack of understanding of customer service and basic help.

Very clean and inexpensive self storage units . Located 11th and Mission. Polite staff and nice amenities including use of moving van.

Clean, not damp, large facility, many different size units are available. centrally located, easy access via ground floor indoor parking lot. all units are alarmed. climate control units are available.one of the nicest self-storage place I have found so far in SF. competitive prices.

At first it seemed like a really decent storage facility however, in time the pleasant facade waned. It would seem to be a male dominated work environment where turnover of female office staff is high. Interacting with staff I noticed an overbearing paternalistic attitude when instructing female staff (usually new hires) on procedures and a distinct gruffness when interacting with male customers. Neanderthals came to mind.I will shortly be vacating SOMA storage in favor of a larger facility that displays egalitarian values, one not still in the dark ages.

I feel like most storage places would try to take advantage with extra fees, but this place was the opposite. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Things worked out well for me here.

Friendly staff, well-maintained, air-conditioned and easy in and out. The only thing lacking is later hours. 7pm is just not late enough to accomplish what you need to do after working until 530.

At first you might think its a bit spendy and uptight... So if youre willing to be surprised and delighted, you might discover what I found is that there are more services and perks that you can only experience after deciding that cleanliness and modern security is worth it.The staff is actually very good! Theyre smart and they watch for ways to make things better.I love the details that I didnt know mattered. Im grateful to have discovered the best storage place downtown and one of the top five in the city.I wish that they had a program of trust that after a year of being a good customer, the privilege of an extra hour to really finish a project without the rush of closing time and rush hour traffic... Maybe they could have a platinum membership and charge and extra $50/hour... Somedays it would be worth it.Otherwise, this business is flawless.

The true gold of this company is their service staffs, especially Jocelyn and Mark. They are extremely helpful, friendly and able to maintain great professionalism. They always smiling and happy! Although I have only been renting for a week now, but I contacted them for over 3 weeks as I was unsure of the space needed. Jocelyn was so patient and helpful over the phone. Mark was so kind and showed me many spaces within my requirement.No other storage facilities that I have visited prior to engaging contact with Soma Storage provide even 10% of the great service of Soma Storage. That is the main reason I decided to rent with Soma Storage, the great staff, plus their fantastic location, safe entry and comparable pricing.Then of course, I found out they offer discounts for first few months of rental, making this such a fabulous deal for me. Never thought renting storage can be so easy and pleasing!

I wish I could access this unit after 6:45pm but I cannot and an alarm will go off if you stay until the time. The 3 month promotion was nice but then its twice the price. I have decided to keep my things with me and donate the stuff I no longer need.

Self-service storage works well and stays clean. Staff is present and is available if needed. My only complaint is they close too early at 645pm. I have only known this type of storage facility to be open 24/7!

Very well connected and importantly placed, at a cheap cost, with excellent service from not three connected separate staffs all working as one, but a portalitic convenience to the back entrance where I discreetly cone in by code, and for your needs with talk trucks another side entrance. Flexible with large payments within reason, and welcoming.

A bit too expensive if you are a homeless person, you are also paying for the convenience of it being close to downtown. Otherwise - shop around for affordable alternatives.

After having a bad experience with one of the storage places around the corner, I called SOMA, went there within 5 minutes, and was moved in within another 10 minutes. Their customer service is great, and the environment is clean, well lit and easy to navigate. Thanks!
