We had a great experience at Capitol Mazda. Hong was very kind and helpful in guiding us through the entire process. We had to spend a lot of time going over the paperwork and the financing options, but everyone at Capitol Mazda made sure we felt comfortable throughout the process by offering water. After we purchased the car, Hong was kind enough to explain all the features of the car and take several pictures of us with the car, even though it was quite late in the evening. We had an amazing car buying experience at this location, particularly with Mike Wayne. Mike assisted us with a test drive, he had our preferred vehicle ready even before we came over. He was very accommodating with timing, worked around our schedule and went out of his way to help us finalize the paper the same day, even though it was a Sunday evening. He explained all the car and app features in detail, and shared numerous resources for further guidance. He was never pushy, but only helpful in answering our questions. Without going into a complex story I will simply say that we had something unusual happen and their manager Jeff L. did an exceptional job of stepping in and making things right. He cut through the problems and made things happen. The folks at Capital Mazda are a class act. I have no problem recommending them.

I dont usually go to Capitol Mazda, so Ive only been there 3 times. 2 out of 3 they didnt provide service that meets my expectation, and Ill think twice before bringing my Mazda 6 there again.During a recent maintenance visit, they quoted me $420 to replace front brake pads that Needed immediate attention. They said my RF pad only had 3 mm left. Since new OEM pads are just $90, and I know how to change pads, I figured Ill just DIY — but thanks for letting me know.When I took the RF caliper off, I saw what you can see on the attached photo. There was a total of ~6 mm of pad material left on each side. Just the groove on each pad was 4 mm. Comparing to a new pad, I have at least 30% of usable pad material left. In fact, any race car mechanic would happily sign off a car like that for a track day (I do track days with my other car). I could agree to the this pad needs to be checked periodically suggestion, but its many thousands of miles away from requires immediate attention.The first time they let me down was when I went to install an Android Auto / CarPlay upgrade. In case you dont know, it requires taking off some interior parts. First of all, neither Android Auto nor CarPlay worked when I picked up the car. I immediately returned it and had to wait more time as they were trying to figure out the problem. Once it started working, I happily drove off. However, a day or two later under different light I noticed that one of the interior panels had deep scratches on it, right where Id put an interior trim removal tool. I later realized that another panel wasnt sitting firmly anymore, and started rattling — I suspect a plastic hook thats part of that panel was broken during the installation.
Both sales and service people here are honest and they dont try to coerce you in any ways. The sales people here clearly explained to me how the financials are going to be structured and how much they will be making if I were to negotiate a particular deal. No dealership ever talks about APR adjustments that are done which more than makes up for what they give in discounts. But Capitol Mazda was upfront and actually I learned quite a lot from them. It helped me focus in both purchase price as well as the APR Im going to get.Service here typicallly runs specials and they let you know without you even asking. I got a first service special for only $29.99 as against the typical $89.99. The staff here are quite knowledgeable and let you know well in advance of any repairs.This is not a very glitzy dealership but they do have a comfortable lounge and have some snacks to keep you entertained while you wait. Their inventory is quite large as one can see from their lot.
I had a great experience in purchasing my first Mazda here. Luis helped with the purchase and was very thorough with the details, arranged my test drive on time and walked me through all the questions and options that made by purchase decision easier. I had to get my infotainment system upgraded with Carplay for my Mazda 6 2017. I also had an issue with the screen. Dennis helped me with getting it fixed. He also answered some other questions I had and was super helpful. I got a good Loaner car and my car was fixed in a few hours. The overall experience was smooth and great.

THIS is the Mazda dealership you need to go to. Everyone we experienced was so warm, polite and welcoming however I have to give it up to Luis and his amazing service. He helped me get out of a loan I was slightly upside down in to get the car I wanted with the payments I was hoping to stay within. He really advocated for me and was able to help me walk away with a brand new car!I never felt pressured and knew everyone there had my best interest in mind.Even Sean, the finance manager, was so helpful and was able to include services I was going to skip on to keep my monthly payments within my budget.Can’t recommend Capitol Mazda enough! :)

Chaos.I setup appointment with the sales for a test drive. When I arrive, the sales was not there. Another sales was nice enough to help me, though he had other customers coming in. Bought the car after the test drive, process was smooth until they could only find one key to the car, promising to call me the next day when they found the key.Guess what. No calls. They could not find the 2nd key. I raised the issue to the sales when he sent me email asking for review. The sales told me they could not find it and created a order to service dept. I guess they are going to make me another key.Nobody from the service dept called me, instead they sent me another email asking for review a for the service experience. Well, I still dont have my 2nd key and never been to their service dept, what kind of review can I give them?Tried to call them several times, every dept said I should be contacting other dept and got me transferred to voicemail. Nobody ever call back????

Went in for transmission service. Called in prior and got quote. Requested quote number to ensure price when paying. When dropped off, I was given a different price. I told them quote numbers they said they would honor quote. When receiving the final bill, it was $300 over the quoted amount. Everyone blamed someone else from the service center.I do not recommend going here for any services.If you must, get quote numbers over phone. Have quote printed out by service personnel at drop off. Only deal with the same person every time so they cannot play the blame game.On top of the overcharging, when I later went to perform an engine air filter change, the battery and all wiring were not placed back to factory directed/original routing.After repeated attempts to have a service manager contact me to explain and resolve the situation I am forced to follow through with this saddening review.If I could give 0 stars I could.Older review below.Staff is friendly. Parts team is very good.

Buyer Beware. Typical auto sales BS. No respect for military and or educators. Shady tactics such as the old bait and switch. I contacted them about a purchase, agreed to thier price. Was told they could beat my DOD credit unions rates, so I applied. Was approved with a near perfect credit rating but was told the car was sold but they were willing sell me other cars for way more $$$. If your good with getting jerked around and playing games by all means feel free to shop at Capitol Mazda, if your not you will want to look elsewhere.

So I needed a new car and soon as my 15 year old car was getting very tired and needed expensive repairs. I knew I wanted a Mazda as I had rented one several years ago and loved it. I made an appointment for a test drive of one of the cars that they were selling. After 5 minutes behind the wheel, I was in love. The people at Capitol Mazda were great. They made this purchase so easy for me. And before I drove away, they detailed the car and presented it to me with a big white bow on my beautiful red car and took pictures! I will definitely refer my friends to Capitol Mazda!

Service is lacking customer service. I mean guess they may have forgotten how to greet people or customers or how to treat individuals as they walk through the door. This place is just rude the lady at the counter extremely unhelpful and short no communication on what was goin on. I send my girlfriend in to get the key for our Mazda and she states the same thing I found when I went in two days earlier all employees look lazy and that they honestly don’t want to be there no one is proactively helping individuals or even seeing that there being taken care of. Just really for the cost I could go to a state prison and see more smiles.
Got my white 2021 CX9 yesterday, love it! Mike Wynne was very helpful! For some reason my appointment was not recorded in the database but Mike saw me and came to help. He was thorough and patient in walking me thru all the information. I really liked Mikes no-pushy style and being able to offer pragmatic advice when it comes to trim level options from customers perspective. I had mentally prepared myself to go to another Mazda to find a different offer and came back to bargain but I was super glad that Mike made it unnecessary (with good help from Tyler, thx!). After that Mike even helped me drive the Mazda to my home and I called him a Uber to return to office. While waiting for the Uber to arrive, Mike didnt waste a minute and continued to share insightful recommendations on the CX9 features. He is incredible!!! Stephen from the finance dept was also very helpful, I took his advice to sign up for the maintenance package that is actually worthwhile. This was my first time meeting a car dealer finance person who was helpful rather than detrimental. My earlier memories of being ripped off by a AutoNation dealers finance guy (back in 2011, at Volvo on Stevens Creek, people might know who that person was) gave me a deep disgust of all car finance guys but Stephen was a different kind. So listen to Stephen, and he might have something good for you. Last but not least, I want to tell why I didnt go to Oak Tree Mazda and drove an extra of 15 mins to Capitol Mazda. I called Oak Tree Mazda this Tue, and the guy told me he could not take my appointment on Thu, reason being that he is on the Mon-Tue shift and they have a different shift for Wed-Thu and he asked me to call back on Wed to make the appointment. I understand his frustration that I would not be his customer but clearly he wasnt even willing to spend 5 mins to take down my name and help his coworker sell another car. This reflects insufficient employee training or a terrible culture at Oak Tree. Then I called Capitol Mazda and made my appointment in less than 5 mins. Well, this is a long enough comment. In all, I am very happy with my CX9 and the pleasant buying experience at Capitol Mazda. Best of luck with your next car!
I had a great experience with Mazda Capitol! Hong was very helpful and knowledgeable with the car I was looking for. Not only is mazda a great car with awesome features even for a base model but buying from capitol made it even better! I didnt feel pressured at all everything was relaxed and smooth. Paperwork was quick I came in at 6 and a few hours later I was driving home with a new car! Although it was late at night Hong said I could come back to get the car detailed. Such amazing customer service Id come back and get the miata one day lol. Highly recommend to buy here if your looking for a new whip.

My wife and I recently bought a car from Capitol Mazda. It was Heaven at first and then Hell.We rejected an offer to pre-purchase scheduled maintenance with the front office Sales agent, a deacon in his church.Then we were transferred to the finance manager, Afshin Motalebi. He gave us 45K service because we are nice people as he prepared the contract. Never did he say that it would cost of around $1200. During the signing procedure, he purposefully hopped from signature to signature, skipping over the numbers.When I caught his attempt to sneak in unwanted services, he apologized for not explaining it to us correctly. My wife and I have the exact same recollection, so DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SPIEL.No wonder online marketplaces like Carvana and Vroom gain in popularity when you have to deal with such dishonest people.
My Father and I just got a used Ford Escape with the help of Mr. Hong. He made the entire experience a breeze, my father was dreading having to go through the normal experience of spending hours and hours getting a car but Hong had the entire process finished in about 90 minutes. We did choose the car we wanted online and made an appointment for the next morning, when we arrived the Ford Escape was out front and sanitized ready for a test drive. After all the paperwork was done and we got the keys they had given us a free full tank of gas so that was a nice plus. Overall the whole experience was quick, clean, and enjoyable all thanks to Mr. Hong.

Nathan immediately contacted me after I requested a price quote for vehicle I was interested in. After sending me the quote, Nathan set up an appointment for me to look at the car. Upon arrival at the dealership, Nathan took me to the car and let me do a test drive. I never felt pressured into buying anything. Nathan answered all of my questions thoroughly. They failed to address my concern on why I had to replace rear brakes after only 12,000 miles after getting them done just in Nov of 2019.They just brush my questions aside and never gave me an answer.Well cool, Ill take my business elsewhere.If you like to get charged twice for services that should have been done the first time, then this place is for you.

Steven Valentone who works here treated me and my family with a lot of respect and not only that, he put no pressure at all and thats what everyone wants. When I first met him looking for a car for my son, I told him how important is to get a car with safety features and Steve demonstrated everything to us in detail and thats why we decided to purchase our car with him. My husband and I had an awesome buying experience here. We had a not-so-great experience when purchasing our first car so we were dreading shopping around for cars again.Our first stop was at this dealership where we had an appointment with Hong. He had two cars we were interested in cleaned, sanitized, and ready to test drive upon arrival. He was friendly, made us feel comfortable and never made us feel like we were being bothersome, even though he was helping out other people when we arrived. After test driving the vehicles, we let him know we were shopping around still. Hong was understanding and we didnt feel pressured to make any immediate purchase.We went to other dealerships but nothing stood out like the quality of cars and customer service we received here. We messaged Hong to see if we could come back and talk numbers as we were interested in purchasing the car. He was quick to respond and we were back again the same day. Hong was personable and polite throughout the whole purchasing process, explained everything clearly, and answered any questions we had. It really felt like we were just talking to a friend. We felt very reassured that we were making the right choice through our interactions with him. The gentleman in financing was also helpful, friendly, and straight to the point (which we appreciated after a long day of car shopping!).We walked out excitedly as new car owners and the whole process was thankfully less painful than we thought it would be. We are grateful for Hongs help and professionalism. He even messaged us a few days later to see how things were going with the car. Let me tell you, we love it so far!

It took like 2-3 hours to process everything and I feel that the service plan could cover more or at least have different plans for different vehicles. I really liked the dealership because they have a good selection of new and used vehicles plus a friendly staff.

Drove an hour down to Capitol Mazda to see a Mazda 6. Salesperson wasnt early to the appointment. Salesperson wasnt on time to the appointment. Salesperson wasnt late to the appointment (he didnt show up). Took an hour after I had left the dealership for him to email me. Didnt feel good, will take my business elsewhere.

Not only that but he went out of his way to get the car my wife wanted. Also the financial manager Steve they both helped us out so much. Bank robbers, Avoid this place, and save yourself the headache and money.Real story, we looked at a used car we liked, they sold us dgdg 12/12k warranty which later they said they can not honor to that car because it was over 90k and apologized for the mis- information. Then they said we can offer 5/57 k extended warranty for $985 which later sold it to us for$1450. They again apologized and said they had to do it for their paperwork. They refused to give us a copy of this. They said the dgdg program checks the car and passed 160 point check Inspection and that was one of the reason we wanted to buy from a dealership. Our mechanic just found an engine problem that they would have clearly found with the inspection, but probably cleared the check engine light and sold a vehicle knowing it had an engine issue. They asked us to pay high fees without explanation and when we asked Sean their finance guy to explain it, he said that director will call to explain it another day. Their sales manager Mike asked my wife and I to leave because we questioned the charges. At the end we were so tired of this place and we just wanted to leave. We ended up paying the higher fee and left with the car just to find out 15 hrs later that it has engine problem that evidently wasn’t disclosed on 160 point check. Clearly, they knew about this and were not honest and passing the cost to an innocent buyer who put their trust in their hand or they dont check the cars and they are not honest about it. I think private party is more honest than these guys. Dont trust this place and their sales people. They sell you things to get you in but they dont honor them. Circulate this message so everybody know about this place. I have everything in writing. They need to change this deceptive behavior. Owners need to step in and clean this place.
Wish I had read these reviews. Very poor customer service experience. Just bought a certified used - but with only a 5k Miles on it. All the joy of buying a new car was taken out of it- car wasn’t ready when we were told, then was told it would only be ready at a certain time, and was then ready later than we were told- car wasn’t properly cleaned and when I got my new car the service light was on and was told- oh just bring it back in when the oil change hits zero. Why is customer service such a hard thing to do.
Sales experience was generally okay at Capitol Mazda, but five months and countless phone calls later I still dont have a title or registration for the used car they insisted I had to fly in to buy on New Years Day from Los Angeles. After being told multiple times all the required paperwork from the dealer had been submitted to the state in late January, in late May Im now told the dealership lost the trade-in paperwork from the prior owner and will have to reproduce it from scratch, while my second temp tag expired a month ago and the state cannot process anything for me. So far beyond negligent its worthy of a lawyer at this point. Its almost impossible to be this incompetent
I had a very good experience at this dealership. Victor was the gentleman that assisted me and he was very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful! He was able to answer all my questions and helped me get the car I wanted. He also took the time to show me how to set up all the safety mechanisms in the car prior to me driving my new car home. He was very attentive and wanted me to have the best experience at the dealership. I really appreciated his help. Everyone I had contact with were personable and friendly. I would buy a car at this dealership again and recommend it to my friends.

Was just about to buy the Car I loved, but couldn’t tolerate the rude behavior from the sales when asked about why they handed me dirty car, Car was not cleaned or sanitized and the service department gave me a loaner which was most dirtiest car, they had the option to wash it, but they were ok to hand it in the same condition as they didn’t careUpdate: I’ve sent an email as mentioned with all details on 10/23 and have not received any response
Huge dealership with tons of options. The sales guy we had was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Didnt end up buying but definitely remember the positive experience.
My Mazda CX5 lease is up and I just leased a new CX9! I love my new car. Luis was so patient and helpful. We were at the dealership pretty late because we are slow to make decisions and even though the detailing crew had closed, Luis took the time to spruce up our car and even placed a bow on it. He was extremely reponsive via text and email as we shopped for the right vehicle. Weve been very pleased with our experience at Capitol Mazda for over 9 years.

Last time I bought a new car was 13yrs ago. I spent 3 weekends looking for a car. By accident I drove into Capitol Mazda, thinking I was in the Subaru lot next door. No accident, I found the perfect car for me, a Mazda 3 Hatchback. My experience with Victor Bradley was awesome! He was extremely patient with me and all my many questions....no pressure at all. That is what I especially liked about Capitol Mazda, compared to the other car dealerships I had been to over the last 3 weekends.. David in the finance department was also very pleasant, professional, speedy and accommodating.When I picked up my car, Victor took lots of time teaching me all about the technology on the car. Went out of his way explaining the details on this cars operation. Everything about my experience at Capitol Mazda was extremely positive. I will certainly refer my family and friends when they are looking for a car. Definitely 5 stars here!!!

Stay away from these guys. They are untrustworthy. Was working with 3 different sales people (Andrew Rodarte, Mario) and they committed to a price and financing, took my information, ran the credit report and then confirmed that the deal is on. After little while, the sales guy called back and said there is a change in program so the deal we had agreed will not work. They connected me to the finance guy (Henry) and GM (Mike) and I can sense that they knew this all along while getting me to fill out confidential information. With this dealership, dont do any deals with the sales guys - the finance guys will change it once you agree with sales guys.
Fantastic car dealership. I’m very happy with my Mazda 3 and the entire process was so painless. Tin helped me find the perfect car and made the whole experience wonderful. I was a little nervous at first but he was super gentle and warm. I’ll keep coming whenever I need a new car! I’ll definitely be recommending that all of my friends come on in and see Tin.

Our salesman was Phil, he was wonderful! It wasnt our first Mazda, but our first experience buying a car in California. Not only was Phil knowledgeable and honest, the dealership overall made the transaction smooth and painless. After the purchase, it felt like we were being introduced to an extended family we never knew we had. Buying a car should be easy and haggle free. This was exactly what we got. On 10/12/16, I came see Nathan Casillas at Capitol Mazda looking for a reliable and safe car, and he was more than helpful with finding me a new car. He was very knowledgeable with his inventory. He was also very approachable and I never felt intimidated. As a salesman he was very courteous and wanted to help as best he could. This is the second time I have come to see Nathan for my car buying needs and have been satisfied every time. I️ spoke to a young man named Victor and I️ have to say he really knows what customer service really is about. He took the time to listen to our needs and was sincere about not taking us in circles as most other car sellers do. We are planning on bringing our daughter to purchase for Christmas and look forward to having Victor helping us every step of the way.
Capitol Mazda has a lot of great deals on cars. I try to be a circumspect person and slow with decisions. I purchased a recent year Mazda 3 and am very happy with the car! Great value for the price! Victor was my salesman and he was very pleasant and accommodating to work with! He and his manager were very supportive when I brought up a concern after my purchase and a solution was quickly found. I will be returning to Victor and Capitol Mazda for my next car!
I had a great experience. The salesperson was very nice. I was close to a decision and hadnt made my mind yet. I was divided between Honda Civic and Mazda3. She helped me with the decision process. The negotiations went really well as well. Since I needed a car as soon as possible as I was commuting to Salinas for work and was to be paid by the end of the week, she convinced others to cash my cheque on the end of the weekend. Its gestures like these that makes you believe that there are good people out there. Leslie is one of them and I give her 100/100.

We got our Mazda CX-5 here for the second scheduled service. First we faced some issues due to some misalignment but after the follow ups and talking to the management, we got one of the best services ever. A car loaner was provided to us for the period of the service, Ivan from this dealership was friendly and supportive. After all, they treat you well in this dealership. Ill recommend you to visit them if you are in San Jose. Besides, Id like to thank the team again for their nice work and support.
Honestly. The warmest people, and best customer service Ive experienced, like actually. I called ahead of time to schedule maintenance on my car, went in and was helped immediately. I was told something was wrong with my car, and they were very patient with my questions in regards to the issue. Overall, for three hours Ill never get back, it was an enjoyable experience.
Got a new Mazda 6 here.Was taken care of well and got my requests fulfilled relatively quickly. Did some quick estimates on their service program and it came under my personal costs; most likely since they get the parts at a discount.Look for Brandon if you have the chance. Hell take care of you and make sure you get a helluva deal. Even after settling on a price, he looked into whether we could apply an early Presidents Day instant rebate. Saved us $750.
