I had to wait in line for about 10-15 minutes but I guess it’s because of COVID. The service to the client is supper good. I just wish they had a bigger place with more options of color of bikes . But I’m in love with my bikes. THANK YOU !!

Super friendly and proactive staff! I placed two orders because I forgot something in the first order and the staff called me to make sure it was intentional. The in-store pickup was seamless and fast! I had to cancel an order so I emailed them and they were super quick to take care of it!

They got everything I needed for my bike very helpful and glad that there service is really good. Dont got any complains for them there great people.

Had to wait for over 30 mins just to find out that they didnt have bike for my kids size. The wait was longer due to covid, and I may change my rating on my next visit. The staff were nice and polite. The shop is very small... But its packed with lots of bikes.

Fair prices buy and go free repairs for 4 months I believe after purchase

I come here alot for help and advice on issues Im having or to use the air pump. And the guys are always friendly and informative and have great customer service even when I dont make a purchase. The prices are good definitely one of the lowest prices stores in the south bay and the selection is awesome they have a ton of stuff stocked up in that small little shop.If you live in San Jose and you havent been to San Jose bicycles yet, your missing out! Zero Stars if I could. Busy they are, but not for selling bikes. I waited a half an hour in a line very patiently - like an angel, understanding that they were busy and hopefully easy to work with on my new bike - wanting to hopefully have a good relationship with my local bike shop. It was a Tuesday close to closing time and I thought it would be a light evening... no chance. This shop is way over its head. They were very busy and obviously since they are swamped with tire changes and chain repairs they can afford to treat people badly. They treated me like a fool.. telling me to go elsewhere to buy a bike if I didnt like their schedule. They were too busy to entertain a bike sale when I waited a half an hour and was ready to buy a bike. They insinuated that I was acting some sort of a way, when I patiently waited 30 minutes and was still chill enough to offer to let the next person go before me so that the business could clear out another customer that was at the counter so I could look at a couple of the bikes inside before I made my choice.This is the second time I came to the shop and every time I was given a minimum of 5 minutes to get information on a purchase. The first visit was early in the Covid opening, and I was given the brush then... but two or so months later I was still treated poorly by their people. A real shame that this bike shop has such a poor business model. They should have at least one salesman on hand to support sales, since due to an obnoxious pair of self-entitled - we have all the business we need (or at least they can handle) types will keep me from coming back, cause me to write this detailed review in many forms of media and in the end not recommend or become repeat business. They relegated my relationship and hopes to make a bike purchase and have a solid old fashion bike shop relationship - to giving me only one choice from the three bikes on the outside display. Closing time - might literally be closing time for this poorly run shop.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I knew absolutely nothing about bikes going in, so was really worried about getting sold an overpriced bike, or buying something that wasnt the right fit.I was helped by Alex, who was super patient and kind while explaining what type of bike would be best for me. He recommended a few before I found one I liked, and he even switched out a part to make it fit better, free of charge (WHAAT???).The bike itself wasnt the cheapest, but i think its definitely worth the price. I also bought a helmet, water bottle, and holder, which Alex attached for me.Ive had my bike for a couple months now and am super happy it. I couldnt recommend this store more.These guys know their bikes! Thanks Alex if youre reading this!

Tried charging me a ridiculous price for bike hardware. It’s nice to support local business but not when they are trying to charge you an arm and a leg for simple things.

Very bad service, if you put bikes on display please tell us beforehand if we can buy it or not. Also not following rules during the Covid-19 distancing.

Truth is Ive only been to this place two times in my life and none of them had been to buy a bike. Yes, they have a really cool selection of bikes but too expensive for me and Ive taken two of my bikes to repair and what I receive is an endless list of all the things that my bikes need. It gets to the point were its cheaper to buy a new bike than to repairing my old one. First time I needed a tune up for my bike, they gave their 30-min speech and the estimate price to fix my bike (around 200-300$), then I left and went to a different bike shop here in SJ and they tuned it up in 20 minutes for less than 50 bucks. This seems a good place to buy bikes but not the best one to repair small problems on them for a cheap price.

They are extra nice. I went there at closing time and they helped me with my sons bike tube replacement even after closing time. I strongly recommend.

I purchased a bike from here two months ago, an SKU for $280, and have been coming back ever since to have it checked out. I can ride in confidence to and from work because these guys are so helpful. Theyve never charged me for a check up. Always pleasant visits, I highly recommend

Being very new to biking, I went with a list from my bike academy. Alex was extremely patient, answered all my questions and helped me with my list. Later the same day I bought a bike rack and he helped me install it and educated me on how to use it. I would rate customer service to be excellent.

This place is incredible. They have bmx bikes and skateboards! The people who work there are really friendly and helpful. I bought a bmx bike from them today for a reasonable price and it’s the best one I’ve owned. Thanks guys!

Very helpful and friendly staff. They sell new and used bicycles and they have a lot of them, so many they are hung all the way to the ceiling. They also sell accessories and skateboards. This is a cool independent shop with good customer service and advice.

Upon arriving at San Jose Bicycles, I had the easiest and most streamlined experience that I could hope for in a bike shop. They not only have tubes at great and low prices, bUT they also helped me with the replacement if my bike Tube ! Id recommend any time and I am an avid bicyclist .

It is literally bicycle paradise the moment you enter the parking lot. Theres heaps of used bikes ready for sale out front, but once you walk in its like WHOA! Bikes everywhere!! SJB covers all bases when it comes to what kind of bike youre looking for, and if they dont have it, they can probably order one through their distributors. If you have a budget, they can probably accommodate your needs.Theyre the closest bike shop to the only bicycle race track (velodrome) in Northern California, so they mostly have fixed gear/single speed related parts and paraphernalia, but theyve also got their good selection of mountain bikes, beach cruisers, kids bikes, road bikes and hybrids.Did I mention theyre also a Skateshop? I didnt? Well snap! Theyre two shops in one! Theres no other shop like that in San Jose! The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable, and if I had such a good experience there, chances are you will too.

POOOOOOOR customer service. I asked basic questions about my bike set up and the associate was oblivious to what i as asking for. no common sense. small hole in the wall flea market type shop dont waste your time with these amateurs.

I have always received quality service at SJB. Recently, I brought in two wheels that were part of a bicycle I purchased online. They needed to be trued due to the rough handling during shipment. SJB turned them around in less than 24 hours and charged a very reasonable price. Whats more, they inspected and adjusted both front and rear axle assemblies. The guys are always friendly and helpful. If you are into fixies, they offer bikes from the 6KU line. They also have an area in the shop dedicated to skateboards. It is a small shop, but they offer big service. Highly recommend.
