Great store but we we looking for manga and they only had a tiny section.

Whoever the guy that works there when I go is not friendly at all or helpful. I dont know how he stays in business. His store is super unorganized and cramped with boxes of comics etc. Then he has a huge bookshelf in the middle and current copies on the walls that looks like he straightens them once a week or something. Guys like me who are looking for near mint copies do not want to see issues shuffled around or set up to get dinged anytime spine picks up a copy. When I ask about blank copies or virgin variants he says that will not have them. Not interested in making money or Moreno a regular customer who is I terested in fresh copies for his collection every month?

Small store packed to the gills with current comics. Great deals to be had with back issues and full runs of limited series. Good selection of TPBs, and kids comics (find those just beyond the register on the right). Friendly owner and staff, likes to chat. If you want to see higher value stuff, theres some next to the register, or ask to see what you want, which might be out of sight. No sports cards or Pokémon. Tiny bit of Magic:The Gathering.

Came in about an hour before closing with friends looking for comics.. Cant ask the shop keep questions about prices. Whoever long-haired old ponytail was. Made me feel uncomfortable AND THE SHOP IS DISORGANIZED. His customer service is absolutely horrendous definitely can find better shops around.

The best comic shop in the Silicon Valley. No unwashed gamer funk smell here. They focus on comics, their employees are helpful and knowledgeable, and they dont screw around with you like so many of the other comic shops in the area. Highly recommended for the serious comics buyer.

Yipee! Best comic book store ever. Come here if you need anything comicbook related. Knowledgeable staff and a tidy, organized store. This has been a staple of the community for decades, and supporting not only small businesses, but the power of reading is what we need to keep doing as a community.They have every series up to date alphabetized on their shelves. They have trades old and new, along with art books aplenty. Stop by and take a peek, there is always something in here I need and end up enjoying.

Shop is way overrated, real small place where they overlap comics cause there is barely any space on shelves, barely any selection on htf comics, they definitely play favorites with customers, which is fine but dont alienate new ones that come in, they have a decent collection of new comics every week but definitely preorder cause they hold/sell comics before NCBD, they should know by now whats gonna sell and order extras. If you live in san jose Space Cat and Heroes are far better comic shops, that have huge selections of comics.

Hijinx is great overall. Its amazing what this place packs into such a small space and the comics are organized alphabetically which is nice. The staff is great and was able to answer some noob questions and point me in the direction of some good reads. The one issue I had with the store is that its so popular in my area that unless you use the subscription service or show up on release day you will most likely not get first printings of your favorite books.

Classic comic book store, not much to talk about. Does its job well, owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Bought some Adventure Time comics and asked a few questions on some other stuff. Person that was working was quite knowledgeable and wasnt pushing me to try to buy something. Great overall experience and will probably be my main comic book shop in San Jose.

Hijinx is the best comic shop in the Bay Area! Neal and his crew are awesome to hang and talk to and they know more than just about any place Ive been.

Tons of books, good deals on whole series (often sold in bundles) and tons of old and new variants.

A well thought out space with great selection and a fun and knowledgeable staff. Its my favorite comic shop, as it has been since high school!

Excellent service, great selection for such a small space, and overall a great place to buy comic books and graphic novels. Dont expect a whole line of merchandise and toys though, this is strictly a comic book store.

Came in for a new comic issue-- the selection is pretty phenomenal given how small the shop is.Was able to find what I need in a matter of minutes since everything was ordered alphabetically.

Its a small comic shop only dealing with what you might want comic bookwise. Lots of indie comics and one offs but you wont find a lot of merch here. Staff is always excellent and helpful.

Found almost everything I was looking for other than the super rare out-of-print ones, but JK was helpful and seemes willing to order what he didnt have, assuming its still in print.

It was my first time to a comic book store. Neil, the man who helped me and the owner, was very nice and shared one of his personal favorites and helped me get settled with some great books.

A small space, but a lot to choose from. Local comic stores are a dying breed. This is a gem and should be supported.

This spot is so lame! Im always having trouble finding what Im looking for due to the unorganized set up they have. Then, Twice its been that i go there asking/looking for comics that have already been released (earlier that day) or sold out at other shops (is why Im there) and the old dude with long hair over at the counter tells me, they have not came out yet or gives me a different date when in fact, Im actually coming from other comic shops that already have them sold out or been out for a few days again, is why Im there. Sorry, but wont be taking my little business that I once took already no longer.

They pack a ton of stuff in this little store and the staff is helpful.

Aside from being chastised for being an As fan (in good fun), theres a great selection of singles and floppies. Not so much memorabilia or games and miscellanea as other stores like this, but if youre looking for comics in town, there you go.

Ive been into comics a long time and I can tell you first hand. This is by far the best comic book store around. Sure, lets state the obvious, it isnt biggest store with flashy toys and colorful walls and all the trinkets you see at other stores but its number 1 for this simple reason....SERVICE!! Neil and JK offer the best customer experience you could ask for. When you are paying good money for expensive comics you expect a certain type of experience. They are always willing to go the extra mile and make sure you get what you want. Not to mention, they always have stock of the books i want. How many times do you go to a comic book store on a particular day of a hot new comic and they are out of it? This store stocks good amounts of the things you want. Just like the TV show CHEERS... its nice to walk into a store where they know your name and treat you like a friend not just a customer.Another BIG reason why i love this store is their fair price on Variant covers. Im not going to mention names but there are a few stores in the South Bay that just rob its customers with over priced variants. At Hijinx, you will pay fair market value. An example of this is does anyone remember back when Jokers Daughter 3D Villians covers were coming out a few years ago. I remember 99 percent of stores charging an insane mark up on them.. they were going anywhere between 50 to 150 bucks for that variant.. At Hinjix.. being a regular customer, i paid the cover price of 3.99.... thats just one example of how fair these guys are. They get the bigger picture... in charging fair prices they get my business in the long term.. they arent there for the quick grab of cash. I mean think about it, would you be more willing to give your long term business to a store that charges you high prices week after week.. or would you like it better if the prices were fair?As a comic reader, im always looking for new titles to read. Neil and JK learn and notice the things you read so that when something comes out that might trigger your interest they let you know. They are very knowledgeable in comics and have been around them for years and years. If you are a Marvel guy JK is the man to talk to .. if you are more into indies or old school comics Neil is your man, but either way they both can help you with any questions about Arcs or past issues. My girlfriend frequents the store with me, she is by no means into comics the way I am, but she does like a few of the Image titles ( she has adopted the if you cant beat them join em mentalility..hahaha) . Whenever something comes out that might peek her interest they let her know when she is in the store with me. Because of that it has turned her onto more comics and she is growing to love them as much as I do...well, maybe not as much as I do but you get the picture. There is something for everyone here.Without getting paid, I cant say enough good things about this store..hahahaha.. Ive lost many hours in this small store just talking comics, sports and TV. These are real people doing a real good job at running the best comics store around. All in all, i cant believe i have written this much, any more good things and it would become suspect... So do yourself a favor and support this great place.

I think the employee was super rude, he wouldn’t help at all, and when my niece started crying he rolled his eyes and I just thought that was disrespectful and probably will never go to his shop again, I felt like I was watched and i just felt uncomfortable
