I called earlier today, to see if they had a time slot open after lunch, for a car stereo installation. The person who picked up was friendly and gave me a proper quote for a stereo installation, which was about the standard price around town - so I decided to check it out.I came in at around 1:30. There was no other customers - they place is kind of hard to see, if youre not using GPS.I was greeted by a employee and I told him I had called about installing a deck in my SUV - just as I said that, the man that I spoke with on the phone came inside. He reiterated his original quote for insulation and I ask them how much it would cost to install a backup camera as well - all in all, the: car stereo installation, the backup camera, and the camera installation would come to 170. I did not take a look at the camera beforehand.The installation took about 2hrs.When it was done, I went and took a look at everything, to see how it worked. I noticed that the camera they used was not a license plate holder one, like I normally see -it was a small scope camera that hung off the bottom of my bumper; I thought that it was odd. It also wasnt centered right and still looks like it is off. I also noticed a bunch of black plastic shavings on my carpet and that my console was scratched up.All in all, I had high hopes for this place - even after reading the reviews and the guy on the phone being friendly. Sadly, this will be my one and only visit.

The Monster Car Stereo offers reasonably great price, treats your car like they are working on their own car, and provides good detailed work. My car is year 2004, pretty hard to change the music system, they worked on my car very patiently, and they really took their time to fix it like almost 3 hours. Very promising job.

This place does good work but theyre very unprofessional. I asked them to please not keep my car on auxiliary the entire time theyre tinting my car because I didnt want my battery to be drained and they said sure sure. I come back 15 mins later because I forgot something in my car and what do you know, my stereo is full blast while theyre working on my car. They smirked and turned the car off. I come back 2 hours later when they said it would be done and theyre still working on it and again, theyre listening to music full blast while working on my car.. on top of that, when I came back they were drinking a 12 pack of modelo while working on my car and tried hiding it. Again, this place does good work, but theyre extremely unprofessional. I wont come back here again.

Came here.. Had an appointment at 9:30 and guy wasnt here to service... Id rather take my money and business to a company that wants it..

I called mostly all other car audio shops in the san jose area to get the BEST PRICE for INSTALLION of a double den... THEY ALL TRIED TO WRIP MY HEAD OFF!!! my quotes where 180 or 150 !! Called MONSTER CAR STEREO 95 $$$$. DO NOT FALL FOR THERE BYPASS B.S. QUICK INSTALLION

If you want to mess up your car audio go ahead and let them do the installation for you. These people do not know what they’re doing. When I got my car back the usb is only charging my phone and will not play a usb flash drive. The owner said because the usb on my aftermarket stereo is only capable of charging and playing an iphone using the charging cable and will not play a flash drive which isn’t true because another shop was able to fix this issue and my usb now plays a flash drive.Second, they forced me to buy a backup camera saying that my factory camera won’t work with the aftermarket stereo. I just found out from the guy that fixed my usb that a factory camera will work if you only know how to rewire it to the aftermarket one.I asked him how much will he charge me if I wanted to replace my factory speakers and he quoted me $700 for just the 4 6.5 speakers that I have. He doesn’t even know what brand of speakers he will put in.The other shop was able to do it for $435 including installation. I should have gone to them the first time and had my deck installed there too.So again if you want to spend more money and have your system messed up you can go ahead and go to this morons. For me, never again.
