A little Philz in a little alley, right outside San Jose State University. It has ripe college energy and good playlists. When I spend time here, I feel invulnerable.

They make some unusual flavours of iced coffees, while the mint is good I prefer their iced gingersnap #yummy

1. I really love their vegan sandwich although it is expensive for the size you get. But the vegan meat in the sandwich itself is juicy and delicious. I should thank my wife for prompting me to try this.2. My wife really loves Philtered soul. It is a hazelnut coffee with a creamy texture.

Wow! I walked a ways to get here because they had such high reviews. Worth it. I was early and no one was waiting but as soon as they opened the door. People came out of the woodwork. It was awesome.I had the silken splendor. So interesting and delicious. I also tried the vegan donut warmed. Holy cow it was good!All coffees are pour overs and they have all sorts of interesting flavors. The staff is fast and as friendly as coffee shop people can be.

Student at sjsu. Horrible coffee. Bought a coffee today, the after taste smelled like plastic. Pretty sure the milk was rotten and i’m having a stomach ache now.

Absolutely worth the wait - currently not served inside due to covid. I had my doubts, but alas, it only took one sip to realize this is some of best coffee I have ever tasted in the US - my cup had a combination of deliciously lingering European taste with a gentle, but very forward notes of west coast warmth. You want to kick back and get inspired!

Right across street from the SJSU campus. Opens early 7 days a week to caffeinated the area. This location is definitely a SJSU student hangout / study hall no matter what time of day with the university is in session.Like all Philz, location is always busy. There will be a wait, but the line does move quickly.And with all Bay Area Philz locations I have been to, the friendly baristas know their stuff and are very familiar with both Philz’s coffee and food menus. They can quickly figure out what your like to drink if you need drink recommendations while quickly getting down to business and making your customized coffee drink while you wait.I always do like their prompt, reassuring Philz statement as the Barista hands you the cup - “taste it before you leave to be sure your happy” — so you are never disappointed with what you ordered. I have never asked to make me another coffee.There is seating both indoors and outdoors. Front doors are wide open so very easy for a disabled person to get in and out without any assistance.To reduce your wait time, it is faster to order ahead using the Philz app.As for parking, this location is more of a neighborhood drop in, walk-by kind of place than to find parking and then walk in and get coffee.

Theyre almost blend. Cream and sugar added by them to your taste. Good for coffee lovers. It takes about 15min to wait, but its really worth.

The mint mojito iced coffee was as good as I remembered it. I went a little after 2p on a Thursday and it wasnt too busy.

Very nice coffee place. The best in Jose for flavored coffees. It has a very wide selection of coffees. The staff are very friendly and professional. They have also mediterranean food! They have baklava and labneh bagels and toast with zaatar.

This was my first experience at a Philz. To be honest, it was really confusing. There was only 3 people in line, but it took about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me. Then, when I ordered a Chai the options were completely confusing. Then, I had no idea where to pick it up. (Found out later that you pick it up from the person whom you ordered it from.) The store itself was very nice. The drink...well, to be real, I had no idea what I actually ended up drinking!

Had the best hot Cinnamon Toast Crunch cup of joe EVER!!

Drink ☕️I ordered a mocha tesora and it was strong and sweet with adjustable milk and sugar levels.Service🕴🏻Being a first time customer I wasn’t sure where exactly to order and eventually the barista informed me albeit in a slightly dubious way. So it seems one should wait at the start of a line until a barista calls out to you and you can then go to the spot at the counter. After you order, then you head to the cashier to pay and wait for your order to be called.Ambience 🕯With walls decked in posters of past concerts, events etc, it’s evident this is a students hangout with some rough edges. There’s not much spaces to sit around thus mostly are takeaways.

Never a bad cup of coffee. Youll not be disappointed by the coffee or the staff.

Always perfection from Philz :) The SJSU/Paseo de San Antonio location doesnt have pre-ordering available on the Philz app, but their ordering and pickup at the door is very social-distancing–friendly and you can get coffee & beans just as easily.

This is my place for coffee every morning, and it was shortly after they opened about two years ago. I highly recommend it because 1) the coffee is outstanding, 2) the team is professional and welcoming. I highly recommend asking for a vanilla latte with iced caramel. Theyre not on the menu, but theyre THE BEST THING EVER.

Came out of curiosity and because I happen to be visiting nearby, and Im glad I did. Had a pleasant experience and satisfied my craving for awesome coffee.An active and bustling place with a cozy and relaxed vibe and decor. There is even a vibrant mural art on their wall which stands out.Lots of customers but service is organized and quick. Very impressive since all the coffee made is a pour over.Coffee selection is diverse with lots of interesting flavours. Ordered a Tesora and Canopy of Heaven coffee with medium level of sweetness. Coffee was very smooth, strong, but not too acidic, and no nasty sour or bitter aftertaste.Also got a couple of whole coffee bean bags (Tesora and Silken Splendour). $18 per pound. Shop can grind the beans for you. A great deal if you want to enjoy it at back at home.Keep in mind that there is no restroom in this place.It is also a chill place to sit down, relax, and people-watch.Easily accessible via walking or by car. It is close to nearby public parking. Also wheelchair accessible.Would come back again, and try out their mocha and mint mojito iced coffee.

You HAVE to get the mint iced coffee. It is so delicious that I order two for myself every time. So. Freaking. Amazing.

4 starts only for coffee. During weekend they were quite busy. We had to wait for good 35-40 mins to get our order. I would suggest to order ahead from app. We are not aware that Philz has app. I would be ordering ahead from the app next time. Also bagel 🥯 was so hard.

26 minute wait for 1 cup of coffee when only 1 other person was waiting for their drink. This place used to be fast before Covid, now its extremely slow, even though there are 4 or 5 workers and only 2 pending orders. And after that 26 minute wait for my 1 coffee I got the wrong level of sweetness in my drink 🙃 too bad I dont have another 26 minutes of time to wait for it to be remade

Seriously amazing coffee. The hot cocoa and Ecstatic iced coffee sweet and creamy are absolutely out of this world. I was genuinely shocked at how much I loved the blend and I cant recommend it enough. Each barista makes it a bit different and it does take a while to make but it is worth the wait.

I love Philz, but this is the worst location. Ive never had a bad drink at the other locations, but its hit or miss here. Sometimes watery, sometimes very sweet (even though I get light sweet). They dont use the Philz app, which means it costs more than $1 more to order pickup ahead on the Caviar app!!! Plus its always really slow, even when its not that busy. They need better management.

Philz is always great (especially on a rainy morning)! They make your coffee to order and you can choose the sweetness as well as creaminess so its suited to your taste. Theres light, medium, and dark roast options as well as some specialties (mocha and the iced mint mojito!) So you have plenty of options. They also have baked goods which taste so fresh and yummy (much better quality than Starbucks food).

They never miss! picked up two orders of the mint mojitos (favs) & they were as tasty as always! theyre taking protective measures by allowing only 3 customers in at a time and using plastic shields at the cash register. my order also came out really quick given it was almost closing (3PM)! no debate, philz is always on point!

Visited here during LG meetup event at 6.30AM in the morning. First time here, so I did not know how to order. You need to stand in line go to barista when your turn comes, order your drink then go to cashier and pay for your drink! Any way I am a starbucks guy, I paid first then was trying to figure out where my order was. One of the Baristas understood what I did, she prepared my drink Aromatic Arabic. Coffee was pretty good. Place does get busy with long lines to order, since it is located in prime location in downtown San Jose.

The best coffee in the world is served here in my opinion, I honestly regret quitting caffeine! However, their sweet and creamy mint mojito and ecstatic are the definition of what iced coffee should be like! Worth every penny!

I went to Philz Coffee on the recommendation of a friend as I was in the area visiting, and I must say I was beyond pleasantly surprised!I couldnt imagine what the place was actually going to be like, and the flavours were crazy combinations...it just didnt seem real.I wish I had this shop near me... because I would be there every day trying out all the flavours and combinations!The vibe is super cool, and the staff were all friendly. I got the sweetened iced 🌹 rose latte drink and I wanted to drink it forever! It was pure heaven in a cup!I definitely recommend this place to Anyone who passes by... You will not be disappointed 😀!

This Philz is Ok, it gets super packed with all the university kids. Although, they do come in waves. The service is great but the drinks i find are a bit better at the other Philz locations. I come here only because its closer to work. Also cannot find free parking.

We were 37 people at this cafe early in the morning. Must say they know how to handle the large orders without missing the touch of warmth. Everyone ordered their favorite coffee here and get it in time. Super efficient staff. Enough sitting area in and out of the cafe. In the end early morning visit was worth it. Hot and cold both options were amazing.

Took an early morning walk with fellow local guides to have coffee here. Though we were huge number of around 30, the cafe maintained and addressed us nicely and the service was pretty fast. There is inside as well as outside seating arrangements. It isnt spacious but the interior is well done. Coffee was awesome.

Visiting this store is equally about the coffee and the experience. Every cup is a handcrafted pour over. The baristas make the process of putting the cups together like a work of art. Hipster vibe, always a line out the door. Highly recommend!

Relaxing atmosphere with lovely baristas. The sitting area is usually packed, but most people don’t stay long so it’s not bard finding a spot. It’s mostly students during the weekdays.Seating is very limited. I usually bring my coffee back to school or MLK library to work.Would recommend the Mint mojito iced coffee.

First time here. Pleasant experience with their coffee and nice service. Philz is worth trying because it was surprisingly strong in flavor and not watered down like some of their competitors. This place got super crowded fast here and thankfully they have seating inside & out. Now I just need to find one closest to my home.

They have great coffee. The staff are nice and quick. Always clean and friendly. Ive been trying to get through their huge catalogue of coffee, and Ive liked everything Ive gotten so far. Really convenient that its so close to SJSU. Be careful though, because it gets very busy during the mornings and around noon.

I was in Downtown San Jose for a dance convention and stopped by this place to grab a quick tea before performing.I tried the chamomile tea and this drink was the one that made me start drinking chamomile tea. This was perfect for a rainy day, if youre sick, or needing a drink to calm down the pre-performance nerves.

Always love to stop at Philz Coffee when Im in California. I was so happy to see they added an extra large cup size. Now I can really savor my Philz Mint Mojito Iced Latte. If you havent had one, give it a try. I wish Philz had locations in Ohio.

This place has really good coffee and tasty baked goods, just a little overpriced I think. The atmosphere was quiet and mostly seem to consist of college students in their 20s, quietly discussing their courses. Almost reminded me of a Starbucks.

Definitely a nice spot for coffee and quick bites. The green tea latte is pretty good, and they have good desserts options too. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and I think they have a solid clientele.

I always love coming to Phils. It is one of my favorite places to get coffee and buy beans. Every cup is brewed fresh, so it can take a while when they are busy but it is worth it.
