I lived in San Jose for over two years and didnt even know this coffee shop existed. I still always have a hard time remembering their name. However, they serve the best coffee ever. If you are into black coffee, its crisp and delicious. You wont get the cheap 7/11 sour taste. You could actually taste the notes of their coffee. Food and pastries are top notch! And most importantly, everyone has a place here :)Lots of seating :P inside and outside!Definitely a place to check out!
Yet another excellent shop in downtown SJ. I had the iced Lexington and it was very well balanced and tasty. Coffee came through and flavours came together well. Im millennial scum and I already cant buy a house, so obviously had the avocado toast which was excellent. A good variation on the theme with the hummus, and the bread quality was definitely there as well.Aesthetic are solid, its a beautiful shop in a beautiful building. Lots of indoor seating and outdoor shade. Cute dogs aplenty, which is always a plus.
Love this place! It’s spacey, not too crowded, and perfect spot to work remotely.//COFFEE&BAKERY//Their coffee is always consistent and oatmilk lattes became my go-to! Black coffee can be a hit or miss (if you’re drinking it without cream and sugar).Their pastries are fresh every morning I think. I saw someone delivering their bakery at the open hour. Definitely try their croissants!//ATMOSPHERE//On weekdays it’s mostly students or office workers for quick stop so there’s usually no line. There’s plenty of space with large tables for laptop or to work in a group. They also have a really big outdoor seating with umbrellas to keep you comfy. At night the coffee side closes and becomes a bar on the other side of the room. Beautiful interior!Weekends can get very crowded, especially in the afternoon. Almost no guarantee for seating spot.Outlets are only on the wall side and pretty limited. If you go towards the bar side, there’s often business people having video conference and they can be little loud…
*update & full review*I just discovered this lovely small coffee chain over the last week and Ive fallen in love! I was previously a Starbucks regular after trying various other coffee shops and leaving unsatisfied and/or underwhelmed, but Ive been converted! Ive already visited Voyager Craft Coffee 3x over the past week because not only are the drinks and bakery items absolutely delicious, but the vibe of their shop is so welcoming. I also love that you can ask for rainbow latte art and get these wonderfully picturesque drinks, perfect for showing off. :) Ive recommended them to friends, so I figured I might as well update this review as well; go check them out!!
First visit at this place and I am quite satisfied with the whole shop environment and service. Ordered a Lexington and Tokyo and its quite unexpectedly good. Will have to come back again to try other new drinks.Service wise was excellent! I also love how they provided wet wipes for customers to wipe their seats before seating themselves. It gives the customers feeling of sanitization and its excellent.
100% my favorite coffee shop in SJ! Sarah and Cap are wonderful baristas! I even have my own Deggy Latte ;DEdit: recently moved up here to teach and been having a rough time including a broken collar bone. The baristas here are all so kind and friendly, brightening up my mornings to help me pass that kindness on to my students. 🧡
I love this place! Its very dog-friendly, and you can have a coffee and a pastry and hang out for ages. Theres a big outdoor patio, and the inside space is huge. It has high ceilings, and later in the mornings the big side doors are opened. Even those of us who are currently avoiding indoor eating spaces can feel comfortable there. A bonus is that, if you want something more substantial to eat, theres a whole local-oriented food court in the same building (not chains allowed!). Lots of great options to choose from.
For the love of god, stop asking my name. Just give me a order number or get my name from the credit card.I love the coffee here and come here regularly. Their Ethiopian pour over probably my favorite. The staff are super friendly. I just wish they stopped asking for my name during the order. It is kinda frustrating to spell out my name a few times for a cup of coffee ( I understand my name isnt common). Still love the place.
Love this place! Friendly staff and always plenty of seating at San Pedro Square. I like their coffee specials (the classics esp the Tokyo are usually better than their rotating ones)
Love at first sip. Their destination line is 100% my favorite. Its like a cocktail bar for coffee 🤷🏾♀️ I love the concept!! Havent tried their drip yet but Im excited to come back soon!! Thank you!!!
Nice food and atmosphere. Not too loud, (you dont have to shout to hear your friends across the table)
Great coffee places with many different menu items.
Cool coffee place to sit and work. lots of outdoor tables. good drinks.
My friend and I came here for coffee this morning - he got the Valencia and I got the Santiago. We shared a chocolate chip cookie, which was delicious! He found the Valencia to be too floral and I thought mine was perfect - not sweet, a bit on the dark/bitter side and I could definitely taste the cayenne pepper. The staff were friendly and there was plenty of seating available for a Monday morning without having to be near other people.
Great spot pre- and amid-pandemic with several spots to sit outdoors. Great selection of drinks and very amicable staff. Service is fairly quick and the ambiance is pleasant.
Beautiful space, wonderful ambiance, great for working! Scattered outlets along the walls and an xfinity hotspot. Love their destination drinks. The baristas are super lovely people and always put a smile on my face. Prices are on the higher side but it’s worth.
Voyager has moved into the old coffee bar in the northeast corner of San Pedro Market and I could not be happier. Same drinks as their first location, but there’s currently a unique seasonal drink (the Budapest). Finding a spot here is easier than at the original location, but that’s because they get the advantage of the San Pedro Square open seating.
Great location! There is street parking and a parking garage. Voyager and many other San Pedro square market spots validate the parking ticket. The space voyager is in is quite large and hip.The service is great. All the employees are very nice and benefit. The drinks and food are delicious. I love an iced Valencia and their cold brews never disappoint. Their pastries and different toasts are Awesome!! The bread they use is so fresh and delicious.I love voyager and theyll be seeing a lot of me at this location now. So glad theyve expanded.
Ive been coming to their first location almost every week and was excited when knowing that theyre opening this location closer to my place! Theyre really a great addition to Downtown San Jose.Theyre specialized in crafted lattes. My favorites are Valencia and Tokyo. The space is huge and airy. Many tables and chairs to sit, and some outlets for you to keep your laptops powered. They share the space with a bar and have live music during the evening.Seeing myself coming here often :).
Their specialty coffee drinks are amazing. I love the Tokyo and Lexington. Great locations and good options too
Perfect place to relax! I am one of those people who love coffee. When I saw your shop on the website, I directly visit your place. I was so impressed with what I saw the ambiance of the place was so peaceful. I was so surprised when your staff served my order on time. You didnt fail to exceed my expectations, guys! Very strongly recommended!
Delicious avo toast with an excellent oatmilk cappuccino. Customer service was surprisingly friendly considering the jackhammering just outside. Highly recommend.
Cute little coffee shop located inside the market. They have creative handcrafted beverages that do not disappoint. I love interesting flavored lattes but oftentimes theyre either way too sweet or I cant taste the flavor. Voyager really nailed the perfect balance. If I lived in town I would stop here all the time! The baristas were also so sweet.
Great coffee drinks, quick service, clean premises, and friendly staff. Right next to the Market Street garage, 90 min free parking.
I spotted a 2-seater table near the counter, so I chose it for it was comfy. I enjoyed my day here, I mean I could find my comfort here while having my favorite coffee.
One of my favorite coffee places in the entire Bay Area (for the coffee, which is excellent, but also the pastries and open face sandwiches). If coffee is not normally your thing, they also do coffee based mixed drinks and even some teas.
The iced Taipei is disgusting, and an insult to the marvelous people of Taiwan.
I went to this coffee shop this morning, to have my morning coffee before coming to work. This place was having the best Latte than any other coffee shop in the city. They also offer macaroons, cakes, muffins, and donuts, which were very tasty and delicious! This place is heaven for coffee lovers out there, like me! A must-visit coffee shop in the city!
It was my first visit to your Coffee Shop, and I was extremely pleased with the service I received. Your employees were both courteous and competent. The area was also immaculately clean and well-organized. I would definitely encourage all of my family and friends to visit your Coffee Shop. More customers are welcome!
I have tried the medium blend pour-over here. The coffee is quite good. In addition to good coffee, the outdoor seating, courteous baristas make it great to spend some time here. During the weekends this spot gets usually quite busy. So there could be few minutes wait before you get to place the order. All in all, a great coffee spot to visit and enjoy a sunny morning.
This coffee shop is really on top when it comes to providing coffee and pastries. They certainly have the best taste when it comes to its coffee, and I must say that these guys are really the best. Also, the atmosphere in this place is truly amazing, and I would be glad to recommend this coffee shop to everyone. THANKS!
This establishment provided me with an excellent coffee experience, and I am certain that I will return in the future. Really WELL DONE!
All the staff are excellent. They have a cheddar scone that is out of this world. The coffee is great too!
Almost every time I come here I get a different drink because there are so many delicious options. I think the Matcha Latte with oat milk is my favorite. The Valencia & Santiago are other top contenders. They also have delicious toasts! I have gotten the Avocado Hummus Toast & Almond Butter w/ Sliced Strawberries Toast many times. When I went last I couldn’t decide which toast I wanted, so Voyager was nice enough to split it half & half for me!
Love the open air ambience and I hear its a great place for happy hour too when the weather is warmer because of the spacious outside patio area.Server/cashier was super nice - suggested the Lexington - a latte with brandy infused foam (not on menu) silky smooth and looks like a cappuccino.... And oooooh so good avocado toast with arugula (my favorite leaf), ate with a knife and fork, so I could savor it longer with each small bite. Would love to come here for meetings in the future.
Amazing vegan option and the service is good.
Everyone who works here is so kind, and they really know how to do oat milk lattes. 10/10 would recommend
Yeeeeaas, finally a second Voyager Craft Coffee location! Ive been visiting their original place on a regular basis. And while the original one is obviously is still awesome (hey its the one and only original after all), this new location is even better. They have the same great drinks (Valencia!), the same great always smiling people but now a much more spacious and nicer designed location. Its inside San Pedro market but away from most of the rest of its buzzing. Youll find them in a big warehouse style room with loft high ceilings, many nicely designed tables, sofas and artsy ceiling lights and wall prints. When B2 coffee was here, it didnt look like this - they really completely turned it around and transformed this in maybe the coolest and best designed coffee house in the Bay Area - watch out San Francisco (and L.A.!). If you dont want to hang out inside, theres also plenty of nice and clean outdoor seating available. As mentioned, their drinks continue to be on point. I love their home roasted beans and how good and flavorful their flat white is. No doubt, this place will thrive. The vibe is just unbeatable.
Great place to work and enjoy the chill atmosphere
Hands down the best coffee in South Bay. Thats also shown by how there always seems to be a line :) The service is quick and the the place is easy to find ( being at the edge of San Pedro market area).Personally; I love the Santiago so much that I haven`t really tried any of the other drinks - which I`m sure are amazing going by the other Yelp reviews.Do check this place out if you are in San Pedro Market Square.
This little shop is really amazing!!
This coffee shop replaced the old B2 coffee shop that used to be here in the same spot (in the far corner of San Pedro Square). They also offer pastries which the old cafe didnt offer, and they changed the layout a little so the cashier is no longer at the far end of the counter. They opened 2 months ago, and have another location on Stevens Creek and Saratoga.
The staff are very nice and the coffee is fantastic! My favorite here is the honey latte. The food quality is fantastic.
I love the lexington. Some of best coffee Ive had. But online ordering isvia grubhub is not so reliable. Ive ordered countless times and they always say they didnt get my order yet even though I wait at least 20 min from the time I order. Really sucks for them.
Awesome customer service!
The staff is great and very plaisant
London fog was good, the tea is delicious, the barista gave a cozy vibe. will come back for coffee, good place to start the morning
Havent been inside because of Covid but this place is fantastic. Super friendly staff, willing to explain the menu and details about the coffee if you like nerding out about your coffee.I tried the Marrakesh and the flavours are amazing. Strong enough to taste it and subtle enough that they dont let you forget youre drinking coffee.Definitely want to go back and try the other destination flavours. The everything scone is delicious and pairs well with their coffee and their avocado toast is a good portion for the price but what makes it even better is the lemon, oil and pepper seasoning.100% recommend.
Delicious dark brew of the divine
Worth trying the unique cold coffee with Spices.
Nice coffee, delicious food, and a welcoming staff. Two thumbs up!
Great coffee, great pastries, excellent customer service. Very friendly, definitely coming back. Unique signature drinks as well.
This review is eassssy. Best coffee place I’ve ever been to in the area. I always get the Mocha (kids temp/ iced) and it always taste amaaaazing. The baristas at all the branches are awesome!I look forward to walking to the San Pedro location almost every morning! Keep it up guys🤩🤩
Voyager Craft Coffee is a local coffee shop owned by a married couple who became the guest in a Google event that I attended. Because of that, I had the opportunity to try their coffee. That time, they provide Americano, Cappuccino, Caramel Macchiato, Espresso Shots, Latte, Macchiato, and Mocha. I saw the description of Mocha that this drink contains Ghirardelli Chocolate. As a fan of this chocolate 😍, I definitely cannot miss this one! So, I tried Mocha that was served hot. It consists of espresso with steamed milk and Ghirardelli chocolate. A good hot drink that has less sweet taste and not bitter, too. From Google Maps, I could see the photos from fellow Local Guides that the the ambiance of Voyager Craft Coffee is so good! Hopefully, I could take a visit to this coffee shop someday.
Friendly staff, great coffee, and fresh pastries
Popular, standout cafe on a relatively quiet downtown corner, part of the San Pedro Market. Good espresso, absolutely yummy avocado toast, convivial staff, and its set up to be Covid safe. Highly recommended.
That drink itself isnt mind-blowing. I love this place for their lattes and baked goods. The service was also top-notch! They definitely make you feel like home.
Heard about this place from friends and super glad we stopped in to try their coffee. I was surprised by the ambiance of the cafe because it seemed super down to earth and a fun place to hang out inside of (also located in a cute marketplace good to walk through anytime). Their Voyager latte was SO full of flavor just as described on the menu with hints of orange and very tasty. Also, had the avocado toast and it was DELICIOUS AND VEGAN!!!! The attention to detail in the cafe is what sets them apart from other places, as well as the unique way they bake and present their pastries. Very photogenic. Would love to try more drinks from their menu when in town again next time!!! 5 out of 5 stars!
Great coffee spot with very laidback vibes. Despite being in the somewhat hectic San Pedro Square Market, it has its own quieter nook, making it a great spot for studying or casual conversation.I ordered the Santiago and it was excellent. Initially a bit spicy (due to the cayenne), once I got used to it, the drink was a perfect mix of spices integrated into a great cup of coffee. Id say it was one of the best cups of coffee Ive ever had. Would definitely recommend.
Super nice service and great coffee
The staff are very friendly, the coffee tastes great, and the have a big selection of great baked goods (if you get there early, anyways).
My husband and I love Voyager! Weve been going to the original location for years and recommending it to all our friends and family. So happy to see them in San Pedro Square now, too! Drinks are delicious and their avocado toast is my favorite. They continue to be friendly, answer any questions I have, and give great suggestions to help me order a drink exactly how Ill want it! Voyager will be a place I must stop whenever Im in downtown San Jose.
It’s San Pedro Square in San Jose ❤️♥️❤️
Looking to enjoy the BEST coffee in San Jose with friends, while staying safely socially distanced from them and others? Other coffee shops for you down because they dont have enough outdoor seating? Well then this is it! Youve found your new favorite place for coffee during COVID. Congratulations on your new discovery!Heres the highlights:First of all, their coffee selection is superb. Their destination signature drinks offer diverse flavors crafted to make each latte stand out from non-craft and standard lattes. My favorite is and will always be The Lexington (today I went with iced and whole milk), made with vanilla and reduced bourbon. However, today I tried their seasonal Pumpkinville (hot with oat milk), pumpkin puree and spiced to perfection. It tasted less like pumpkin pie and more like pumpkin bread, which was really nice in comparison to the overly spiced up pumpkin lattes at Starbucks and other coffee shops.Second, Cameron, the cashier across the counter, was so friendly. He had a genuine compliment, an encouragement, or a amiable question for every customer. You could feel his smile through his mask. We chatted for a bit, exchanged names, and talked about how he recently got married during COVID. Congrats again, Cameron! I would come back during his shift again just to be friends and chat with Cameron more. If Voyagers manager reads this, give him a bonus or something. Hes awesome!Third, they are super Covid friendly. My wife and I have been sensitive and cautious, feeling slightly uncomfortable going out of the house still, but this location had everything needed to put us at ease. They had hand sanitizer, disinfected styluses for the tablet, spots designated to wait clearly delineated on the ground, and so much seating that there was plenty of room, even on a Saturday morning, to social distance as much as we needed to from others. It was wonderful and made us feel safe, and dare I say almost normal, to be out having coffee in public again.Definitely looking to this Voyager location as my go-to hangout during COVID coffee shop from now on.
Great coffee prepared by great people! The staff here are very skilled baristas who know how to make a good, frothy steamed milk for their lattes, and silky smooth foam for their cappuccinos. Their flavored destination lattes and seasonal offerings are creative and comforting, as is the atmosphere here. Tea selection is only 5 flavor offerings which is a bit small, but theyre all good quality loose leaf.
What a book for our downtown area and city. Come support these guys. Theyre the best cafe in the city, hands down
Good coffee and pastries! good covid seating area, bathroom inside the market!
Great service and nice chill ambience
Good flavorful non chain coffee. And the Matche latte with soy had the right flavor.
Great espresso and friendly staff
Great spot to have a leisurely coffee with plenty of natural light and funky decor. Very laptop friendly + fast free wifi from the market. The coffee is seriously, uncommonly good too!
Beautiful cafe with lots of chairs and comfortable sofas to sit. The coffee quality is great and sweets are always fresh and good.
The best place to have a great coffee and work. If you like spicy coffees, you must try Santiago - its kinda like a spicy mocha! ♥️
Great espresso drink options. Their destinations are really quite interesting but I’m more of a cortado man. It was on point. Their espresso is very flavorful. They roast it in house and obviously know what they’re doing. The only thing they should improve upon is service time. They are new, though, and already quite busy, so I’m sure they’ll get there.
Our meals were delicious!
Absolutely delicious coffee put together in an absolutely stunning way. Some of the friendliest baristas I have ever come across crafting beautiful drinks. I had a Tokyo with rainbow latte art, it was spectacular!
Wow this place is super cool! If I lived in San Jose I would totally work from here every day. AND last but not least, the COFFEE IS AMAZING!!! And I go everywhere, its probably my favorite!!!!
A solid five stars. Delicious cortado (roast was chocolaty with slight bitter hints). Cool modern market space.
Finally got to visit the new location - just as excellent as the OG. Ive been going to Voyager since just after they opened and they have always been consistently great. I vary between the cortado (if I want something strong and basic) and the Santiago (great cayenne flavor - not over the top, but a nice lingering finish). Cant go wrong with any of their drinks. The really sweet ones arent for me, but if thats your thing, go for it. Check em out.
Such incredible coffee, its their 2nd location and its just as great as the first. Only place to get quality craft coffee. Note premium coffee cost a little more but I feel its worth it
There is a bit of a line to wait in but the staff are friendly and efficient!Enjoyed everything I ordered:- Destination coffee, Tokyo ; will definitely have to come back for more of it!- Iced chai tea ; it has cayenne so be ready for that kick. Its not bad but Id probably order it again without the cayenne.- Almond Croissant ; Amazing & so happy they carry this!- Kouign Amann (original) nice and flaky. Id prefer for the inside to be just a bit more moist since it can end a little on the dry side. But still good!Yes, I had all 4 to myself and I have no regrets! Better bet Ill be back for more. So happy they opened a second location (first location on Stevens Creek)
Awesome espresso, and extra props for not turning me away a few minutes after closing time!
Definitely would suggest you try their moca Valencia. Great spot with wonderful people and a good vibe.
Great coffee and location. Always love their creative takes on lattes and careful craft of their coffee.
